Easy installation. Had no issues with any leaks. Cover looks good. My only complaint is that the seller bent the metal bracket in a U-shape to fit the item in a smaller box. I didn't need it because I was mounting directly to a stud but someone that was planning on using the bracket would have had to try to get the bracket straight before installing.

This filer for some unknown reason is expensive and the taste of water is so bad my family totally quit drinking from it and using the ice it makes.It removes the taste of clorine but no matter how much you drain after fresh replacement, it still has a bad taste/odor to it. As it the water has passed through a tunnel of mould. I bought exact same one from Lowe's for $29.00 and it had the same ugly taste. I figured that was bad and wanted to try this one which was more expensive. I am going to contact Samsung and find out what the deal is. I am suspecting there are more unsatisfied customers out there in the wild.

This item is on my repeat order list for Amazon, and I'm on my fourth filter. The price is right, and Amazon always ships on time. I replace my filter every 6-9 months, and they do a great job of removing the excessive chlorine that our water district pumps into our water. Easy to install, I have no idea why people are complaining; thankfully I have been saving money buying this on Amazon.

Description leads one to believe these are higher-end filters and they're not. These are about $22.50 ea when you buy the 4. You can buy a single one here on Amazon at $16.35. They're sub-par and do not meet standard 53 which is the reduction of Lead, Mercury, Benzene, p-dichlorobenzene,Toxaphene and Carbofuran.

What does tested for standard 42 and 53 mean anyway? It does not say it passed the test. That's like saying we tested chicken for salmonella and not saying whether any was found.

Really disappointed with Amazon for allowing deceptive vendor marketing. I thought I did not have to be a lawyer buy a water filter: "Whirlpool Refrigerator Filter" is not a "Whirlpool Filter". Yeah, I know my fault but, they should say "Water Sentinel Filter for Whirlpool refrigerator" if they want my business. I guess they're counting on people not having enough time to read the lat detail and spend two hours before ordering a water filter and then, not sending the items back cause it takes even more time. Well, these are going back and Amazon will be getting less of my money and business going forward.

This is health related item but I guess the mighty dollar comes first.

This product was exactly as it was described. The cost was less than I was able to find anywhere else.

This is the only product I can use in my refrigerator, so it's not a matter of choice. However, it works very well. I live in a town with a real hard water issue, and while it's wonderful for my hair, it doesn't taste very good from the tap. This filter makes it more than drinkable. It is delicious. We've moved completely away from bottled water because it tastes so good.

We've had this fridge about 1 month and it is very quiet and has presented no problems. It has cold water and ice in either crushed or cubed form. My son loves the crushed ice feature since it cools drinks down fast. My main beef about this refrigerator is that there is a lot of wasted space. It uses traditional light bulbs including bulbs behind the food (why???). The bulbs and their guards waste nearly 1 cu ft of space. The water is kept in a resivoir in the back of the refrigerator that prevents the shelves from going all the way to the backs: another cubic foot of space lost. The shelves have too wide reinforcement on the shelves that cause items to tip over and have a fancy curved front: I'd rather just have the shelves made to maximize storage! Anyway, they need to more efficiently make use of the interior space of the frige including using small, energy efficient leds.

I've had this for more than a year now and it's been running like a champ. I was skeptical when I wanted to buy it coz it was so damn cheap. It gets the job done and all the bells and whistles work fine. The black plastic on the ice and water dispenser is a bit cheap looking but it is OK otherwise. I've been very happy with this fridge and I am just wondering why other brands go for double this price on a stainless steel side by side.

Extremely disappointed at the cheap materials used for shelving.

After getting my first real job after college, I bought my parents this fridge for Christmas after their freezer quit on them. Was looking forward to giving them a good 10 years or so with this new fridge (parents' previous fridge lasted 10+ years), but was sorely disappointed when after just 2 years, the plastic edges around the shelves began to crack. First, the shelves inside the door, then the rest of the shelves. Never have we had this problem with our previous refrigerators. Extremely disappointing. Warranty is only good for one year, so I guess it's too bad for us.

Don't be fooled by the nice-looking exterior and expensive price tag. This will be the last time I buy a Whirlpool anything.

I bought a similar model to this, the ED5PVEXW model, the side by side with the ice and water dispenser. ONE WEEK after the year warranty they give you it stopped cooling. We had a repairman come out and he said that Whirlpool and Maytag refrigerators were notorious for burning out the compressors due to a defective component and that our compressor was extremely hot. He said many have even caught fire and ruined houses! Maytag, Whirlpool's sister company, has recalled many of their models for these fire hazards, but Whirlpool has ignored the issue for the most part, only recalling a few models. I called Lowe's, where I bought my refrigerator (and where a suprisingly large amount of the failed refrigerators were purchased, check consumeraffairs.com) and they said they couldn't help me, to call Whirlpool. Well, Whirlpool said they couldn't do anything because the warranty had expired. Before you buy a Whirlpool refrigerator be sure to check the internet review sites and read the horror stories! I will never buy another Whirlpool/Maytag/Kenmore appliance, and I will never again shop at Lowe's.

Unfortunately, as soon as I took it out of the box, I noticed that one of the rear vents was damaged. It looked as if someone took a hammer to it!! The box itself is not damaged, nor is the styrofoam that surrounded the product in the box. This means, it was damaged before they ever shipped it! How in the world do they not see the entire side having dents...and I mean...really noticeable dents... BEFORE they send it to the buyer??!! I requested a replacement and/or refund to cover the repair costs so let's see how their customer service is. Hopefully they get it right this time. I was so excited for it. Now it has just become a hassle to deal with.... A couple statements regarding the product itself...the frame is made of a rather light metal...you can literally press the vent itself with your finger and reshape the inlets. The drawers are a bit narrow. I can only fit 2 bottles on 3 of the 5 shelves in the red-wine section of the cooler. The unit itself looks nice though. It fits well in the apartment, and has a nice contemporary look to it.

Once I figured out how to get the faceplate off of the door, it was a simple matter of snapping out the old, broken part, and snapping this one in. It fit perfectly, no modificaitons needed, matches the removed one, and works just fine. There were some difficulties actually GETTING it from this company they shipped the first one, which ended up who-knows-where. Then there was an address snafu with the replacement also ended up...lost. Then, they simply refunded me the initial costs, and I started a completely new order. We almost did not buy this product because the description lists one model of Frigidaire plus two other similar model numbers which will allegedly fit. We called Frigidaire, although our refrigerator is neither of the ones described, and were assured that the filter shown would fit almost any Frigidaire refrigerator. We ordered from Amazon and it did indeed fit although our unit was not of the type or model number listed!

Have you ever gone to your local hardware store to try to purchase one of these? What a hassle. They are on aisle so and so, sorry we are out of that filter, we can order it for you, it should take about three weeks.

I bought this because my last filter needed replacing, received this filter and installation was easy, however the water coming from this filter have a rotten smell to it, like sulfur...and taste was not the same as the previous filter. read up on many forums and even called Frigidaire to inquire about the smell and taste, they said I need to run the water atleast 5 gallons of water thru the filter before the smell and taste are "normal"....I never had this issues with other filters before. So after 5 gallons, still not good, I would say I ran 15+ gallons of water thru the filter...the smell and taste are near normal but not quite...after 1+ months of use, the smell is gone...but the taste are still not the same as the original filter.

All refrigerators that have water filters force you to replace filters or the ice maker will not operate. They should have water filters that can be cleaned and recycled by the consumer. Amazon's price was the best on the net that I could find. Manufactures of these filters have a captive matket. amazon's price alleviates some of the pain.

In the year we have had the refrigerator that uses these filters we have had to replace the filter four times. Only once was it because it was time to change the filter. The others leak profusely within 4-5 months. The last one didn't even make it to six weeks. I called Electrolux ( the actual manufacturerNOT Frigidaire) and they acknowledged that it had leaked prematurely but wouldn't replace nor compensate me because it wasn't purchased directly from them. The replacement used insertion type fittings. Had to cut the fitting ends off the plastic tubing and insert the cleanly cut tubing ends. It went well with no leaks.

The valve fixed the water supply coming out from the filtered water line.

The difference between the old valve and the new valve was, the original valve had threaded fittings, the new valve has compression fittings. So you have to cut the original lines and push them in.

I have antoher one of these i purchased locally and it works great. The problem is that the one I received from AMAZON had been traumatized in shipping and had some dents. According to Haier Customer Service, this thing is only designed to "cool" to 45 degrees F. That is completely inadequate in my mind for a "beverage center." This fact is not in the user manual and it is not documented anywhere in the detailed specs here or at Haier's website. If I had known this fact, I would NOT have purchased this machine. As it is, I will probably donate it to a charity organization and buy a product that is designed for use in the real world....and it won't be a Haier product.

I do not usually do this, but I thought I'd take some time out to warn all of you out there. DO NOT purchase this item through Amazon.com. They sent me a USED item that looked like it had been opened and tampered with before. There were screws falling off inside the refrigerator that didn't look like they were supposed to be falling off. The door hinge was bent up. The bottom was glued up like it had been repaired before. The outside had scuff marks all over it like it had been tossed around.

The glass was just the right size. I was afraid since when I measured the crisper cover they were slightly different. However my gut said this was the right one since the description says approximately 24 x 16. The real measurements are 23.83 x 15.5. I was hesitant about purchasing this kegerator because of some of the reviews but decided to buy it anyway. The unit came in scratch and dent free which I was very pleased about. I spent the extra bucks and got the stainless model which looks nice in the man cave. I was a little surprised how small the unit was when I was unpacking it. In the pictures they all look the same but this is not a full size kegerator it is basically a mini-fridge with an over sized door to accomodate a full size keg. This was not an issue for me because I am limited on space and the overall cosmetic appearance of the unit is very nice. I installed the casters to give it more height. The kegerator assembled easily and came with alot of spare gaskets, parts and wrenches which I thought was cool. Do pay attention to the gasket that belongs beneath the tower like the other reviews say because it is not mentioned in the instructions. It comes with a 2.5 pound Co2 tank which is adequate but I will probaly upgrade to a 5 pound. It also came with a nice dual gauge Co2 regulator unlike some reviews said. Some of the reviews said the unit would not get cold enough. Mine seems to stay around 34-36 degrees on the max setting. That seems perfect to me! Some of the reviews talk about the noise. I can say it is a little noisy but just a little more than a regular refrigerator. You get what you pay for in life and this unit has some cheaply made parts here and there but at the end of the day what do you expect from a kegerator? Cold draft beer when you want it and this unit will deliver! Why pay hundreds more? I am very pleased so far. I've only had it for three days and am half way through my first keg of blue moon but no issues so far. I will update if any issues arrive!

I've read the other reviews on this unit, and I still picked one up. This isn't a book/batteries/small retail, and when buying it from Amazon, you should really be present at delivery to insure no damage befell your unit in shipping. I was home when this came, and I looked over the box before I let the UPS driver go. It came double boxed with quite a bit of foam and cardboard protecting the fridge, then more cardboard protecting the tower/bottle/regulator/etc inside. After attaching the casters and fully assembling the unit, I waited the recommended 8 hours (really, I waited overnight) before plugging it in. I let it run for another night to be sure it was cooling properly, and then. after I decided everything was fine, I filled the CO2 bottle and purchased my keg. Don't omit this series of steps. If you want a working kegorator, pay attention to the instructions that come with it. It's pretty simple.

***UPDATE***

More than a year later, this kegorator is still going strong. I did have to replace the gas bottle it came with on the 2nd fill, which was pretty disappointing, but with that exception it's still working perfectly.

Only negetive it is a bit loud for its size, sounds like any other fridge. Like any keg it takes a bit of adjusting with the co2 (which gauges work very well)

We bought this kegerator after living in Germany. It is hard to drink American beer after living in Germany. And, German beer is absurdly expensive by the bottle in the USA compared to how CHEAP it is across the pond. So this was our Christmas gift to ourselves. We decided on this model because we did not want to spend more than was necessary. Of course, we had to purchase an alpha coupler for the German barrels, which added to the expense. Our first keg was a Paulaner hefeweisen and it is a little taller so it BARELY fit into the fridge. We had to do some strategic bending of the coupler.... and we had to remove the extra tray for barrel support. but we made it work. Our second keg is a Franziskaner and it still would have required bending the neck and removing the barrel base. So, this model is not ideal for those who want to use German kegs. That said, it IS working, it WAS a great deal, and we ARE very happy with it. The beer is cold. It is not the quietest thing ever, however, it is not bad and it doesn't have to run that often. It arrived with some minor quality issues that only effect the appearance. But you get what you pay for and we recognize that.

I bought this product hoping all the negative reviews were wrong...but they werent. The kegerator came dented right out of the box, and no matter what i did, the temperature would not get below 45 degrees! Looks like it could be a nice fridge if they could fix the cooling problem...but buyer beware...this fridge will not deliver cold enough beer! Im now stuck with half a keg of beer thats ruined.
