This is my first front loader. This washer gets my clothes clean clean clean! Matter of fact ,since I bought this unit everyone keeps complimenting me on how good my clothes smell! The spin cycle is barely audible, which is a non issue as mine is out in the garage. The end of cycle is a surprising little melody instead of a buzzer. My 8 year old is pretty messy with ketchup and so far, knock on wood, this baby hasn't missed one stain. I am not even sure how it cleans the clothes so well considering the amount of water it uses, but it does an amazing job and they are so fresh too! I feel very grateful to have this set. I have the matchibg steam dryer and it is just as awesome!

I purchased an LG Washer WM2655HVA 4 months from Home Depot. A couple of months after purchasing the Washer we started facing issues with this Washer when it started giving an LE indicator ( indicating heavy load ). Though the load of clothes was average, we kept getting this message results every other day till we called LG Customer Representative who told us to reduce the load. Yesterday I put only 1 bedsheet for washing & we again faced the issue for 2 hrs 50 mins. We had to call LG/Home Depot & the Customer Representative told us that we should contact their Service Technician in our area to look at the issue. When we contact the Technician he immediately told us that the Motor would need to be replaced even without coming to our place to check the issue. It means that this ia a known issue with LG Washers that within few months of its operation we face this issue. I would highly discourage everyone not to buy LG products.

I had a smelly refrigerator that came with the apartment I am renting, so other tenants have used it. It smelled like fish, ammonia, and other horrible smells despite how many times I cleaned it or attempted to deodorize it with baking soda. Everything I put in that thing had this distinct, pungent odor when I pulled it out after awhile. The odor particularly leeched into plastic bags and containers and coffee grinds. It reeked!

While the odor didn't make my food taste bad, whenever I pulled out something I had to hold my breath to let the smell dissipate so I wouldn't loose my appetite! Even then, the odor still lingered and was still detectable. It was that bad. The odor was in the freezer too, and it made my ice have a distinct, horrible taste. I had to drink lukewarm tap water and anything in a sealed container in the refrigerator, because the odor would dissipate into open containers of liquids and spoil their taste. So, I had no ice for quite some time except if I bought a bag at the store!

I had originally heard about putting newspaper into a refrigerator because the ink contained absorbing carbon and the paper itself absorbs odor rather well, too. I did that and noticed a difference after a few hours. I then researched better options and found that activated charcoal is more effective. I looked on Amazon and found these Whirlpool activated charcoal boxes specifically designed for problems like mine. I got the box for the refrigerator and the one for the freezer. I highly recommend you do that, because air mixes into both compartments of the refrigerator.

At first I didn't notice much of a difference, but it was slightly better after the first night. I followed the directions of the freezer absorber box and changed out the ice every day. That helped, but what really helped was throwing away my old ice cube trays after a few weeks when the overall smell had dissipated, because I noticed the plastic tray itself had absorbed too much of that horrible smell. I got new trays and put them in after about 3 weeks of having both absorber boxes in the refrigerator.

It worked like a charm, and I now have a nearly odor free refrigerator! It doesn't smell like it used to at all, but it may have some more to go. It was really smelly. However, I can now put open liquids in both freezer and refrigerator compartments and they do not taste bad at all! It's amazing! If you have a stubborn odor in your refrigerator, get both the ice cube and refrigerator odor absorbers! You'll be amazed at how well they work, and I suggest throwing away your old ice cube trays because these odor absorbers cannot seem to get odors out of the trays. I highly recommend these! You will not regret this purchase!

We have a LOT of particulates in our water and this flter does a fantastic job. Unfortunately performance drops quickly, reducing flow to an annoyingly slow drizzle. If you have a lot of particles and are not concerned with cysts etc, you may want to downgrade to the 8171413 which is also effective with chlorine and lead reduction but seems to last far longer before flow is restricted.

I replace my filter every year. I have purchased this filter every year, as it is the one that originally came with my fridge. Easy to install. Would recommend it to anyone. Nice price and quick delivery.

The package came with no receipt or any kind of printed copy of my order and with just one filter inside. The amazon packaging was well wrapped and did not seem to have been violated in any way but the actual product package was not sealed (looked like it was a re-packaged product) and only one water filter was available.

CoolBot Walk-In Cooler Controller for window air conditioner

Robert@ Three Boys Farms gives a good overview on the Coolbot. I use the coolbot in my coolroom to keep grapes around 39 degrees F. before I crush. What I have to offer in terms of a review is a demystification of the product for any potential user that would like to know exactly how it works. To begin, it doesn't 'turbo-charge' your air-conditioner. This is largely hyperbole. There is definitely no magic involved.

The Coolbot consists of three probes, a thermometer, a temperature probe, and a heater probe all leading back into a single well sealed package. Here is how it works. After removing the grill from the AC unit you will locate the thermostatic sensor which is affixed to the cooling fins of the AC unit. This temperature sensor is naturally responsible for cycling the AC unit on and off. You will now take the AC's temperature probe and place it in contact with (secure beside) the Coolbot heater probe. The second probe on the Coolbot is a temperature sensor which is placed in the fins of the AC unit approximately where you removed the AC temp. probe.

The heater probe on the Coolbot is in direct contact with the AC's thermostat. The Coolbot heater probe simply heats up the AC's thermostat thereby causing the AC unit to sense a warmer temperature than what actually exists in the cool room. The second probe of the coolbot monitors the temperature of the AC fins so that the Unit doesn't ice up. Ron has taken an extremely simple concept, one that isn't wholly original and created an excellent, dependable, durable and vastly overpriced product that will do exactly what it warrants. I am very pleased with its performance.

Like Most intelligent farmers necessity and budget are always in play. The need for a commercially available refrigeration unit is part of all farms cool down and storage requirements, yet the availability of affordable

equipment to small farms does not exist, unless it is taken back to the purest form of design and function.

What Ron has done here is recognized that the limits imposed by residential A/C unit manufactures, specifically the

restriction of low temperatures by thermostatic control, can be manipulated. In designing the Cool-Bot he did several things;

1. energy conservation, large commercial units are power hogs,typically three phase 400-600 amps, and they are an antiquated, inefficient method of cooling, specifically taking copious volumes of cold air and moving it into a space that is usually poorly designed and has huge air leaks, the net result is waste, both in terms of energy, and product stored as air mass on leafy greens desiccates and wilts foliage, so unless your stored product is potatoes, you want coiling without excessive moisture robbing air mass. Cool-Bot delivers through your Energy Star unit, cold air without damaging the crop, and saves big money in energy costs, and efficiency.

2. Back up, when your space requires multiple units to achieve the desired level of cooling needed, you simply run more window units, again the often overlooked benefit here is the built in back up. If your commercial unit goes down, your product temps go up and spoil. The repair cost is high, and you still have one unit. With multiple Cool-Bots, you have an emergency back up in place, if a unit went down, the others can maintain temps for that period while you replaced that A/C unit, and since it has not been modified whatsoever, it is under a factory warranty. Now you have continued cooling during the repair or change out, something not offered by commercial refrigeration, with them your down, and your out.

3. Seasonal change. During cooler periods of the year with a multiple unit cooler you have the option of shutting down several of the A/C units for additional energy savings, with the big units, its on or off. So it is time to ask yourself, who brings the best things to life? not just those guys, but us farmers, we feed you, and increase your health with safe local foods, and design and build products that are frugal, and efficient. The highest praise a farmer or designer can receive is from his peers, and I highly recommend Cool-Bot to anyone, for a multitude of purposes. I have a Kenmore refrigerator that came with the house when we bought it back in 2006. It was brand new so I never bothered checking anything until last year when my drip pan kept overflowing. Turns out my refrigerator had a water filter and it needed to be replaced. Who knew? I never used the water dispenser but I did occasionally use the ice maker. Moral of the story is to change your water filter every six months to one year. I got almost 6 years out of my original filter before it started dumping water into my drip pan. I bought a similar filter last year and was still going strong a few weeks ago but I changed it anyway. The only thing I don't much care for about this filter is the "Made in China" label. When it's time to change again I will attempt to find a "Made in USA" filter.

I have owned this Electrolux dishwasher for several years and I can't wait for it to completely break so I can replace it. It no longer cleans very well. Is not as quiet as it once was. Had to replace a filter component that broke within 2 years and not covered by warranty. The roller assembly is now coming apart when I slide the top shelf out. Replacement part is less than $25 but I have to completely remove the dishwasher to replace them. The door squeaks when you open and close it. Just an overpriced piece of junk. Buy something else.

Do not buy this dishwasher. I had it for almost 3 years and then it came up with the error code that a leak was detected. 10 service calls, 2 different technicians later, it's still leaks. Electrolux knows it but won't let you know until you have the problem. Then there's a "leak kit" that is supposed to fix this model. It doesn't. The leak is somewhere they can't find and the technicians don't want to waste their time trying to find it. Electrolux offers a "rebate" to get a new unit. Who wants the same bad product that they don't stand behind? I've wasted lots of time with service calls and washing dishes. I'm done with Electrolux. Look at all the service issues on-line for this item. I'm not the only one with issues.

We moved into our house three months ago and this appliance was already installed. First off, I hate stainless steel and don't understand the infatuation people have with it. But, I was willing to put up with its ugliness as long as it worked. But, it doesn't even work very well. Added to that, it's quite annoying that the Electrolux website doesn't even offer the manual. I have no manual so I can't figure out all the ins and outs of the machine. It's not very user friendly. It took several tries to figure out how to get it to start...even then sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. All the lights flash when done, so it's almost like it's never shut down. What's with that?? Now I'm reading the other reviews and hearing that the thing may start to break anytime soon anyway. Considering selling this turd and buying something more reliable and cheaper (I can't believe the previous owners paid this much for a DISHWASHER!).

Within the first couple of months the flimsy water line started leaking. The leak was not noticeable until the inside of my connecting cabinets grew mold and rotted. My husband replaced the line with a sturdier one and that was that. We then did a complete remodel since our cabinets were molded and rotted and the dishwasher started to leak out of the front door. I shouldn't say leak, but flooded when dishes were washing. The seal on the door is weak and faulty so again...hubby replaced the seal with a better one. Now it has yet another issue, it does not dry dishes and leaves a nasty film. The dishes are actually dirtier than when they went in.

The dishwasher is about 2 years old. We also have an electrolux stovetop(under recall for fire hazard) and range hood. All 3 have issues. I am grateful we went with a different brand for our washer and dryer.

This is the worst water filter I've ever had. It actually adds dirt to your water after purging the filter for many gallons. I thought filters were all the same and I decided to buy this because it was cheap. It's a total knockoff of the original (made by Cuno) that came with the refrigerator. No matter how much water I run through the filter (at least 10 gallons so far), it continues to have bits of what looks like fibers floating in it. I've even compared the "filtered" water to tap water from my kitchen sink and the water that passes through this filter is full of these clear, small bits of fibrous debris while the tap water is clear. I live in a major city, so it's not an issue of having dirty water (our water is quite clean, but I need a filter for my water and ice dispenser to operate at all). It costs a lot more money to buy a replacement filter from a reputable source, but I've learned my lesson.

This is overall a mediocre microwave. I read the reviews that warned of the problems described below but went ahead with the purchase because of the size and price. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase, but it's really only for tiny studio apartments like mine. If you have space, I'd recommend going with a larger microwave.

Pros: Very small so it fits great in my tiny studio apartment. Buttons and door work fine. Good kitchen timer.

Cons: Very low power so microwave times are longer than normal. At times heats items unevenly (top will be cooked while bottom will be frozen). Internal tray rotates, but microwave is so small that normal sized plates or square plates will bump into the walls and stop the rotation.

Smaller than i expected and that's great for me. Does what a microwave should do. Even though it is compact, it can fit a big plate and that's a plus. It's also sleek and elegant.
