Select Refrigerator Water Filter

Select Refrigerator Water Filter
  • The Replacement Filter fits all refrigerators that use the Samsung Aqua-Pure Plus DA29-00003B water filter.
  • Retains the flouride in drinking water. Filters out chlorine, turbidity, sediment, dirt, and rust

I specifically bought this item because I currently have a B and I wanted to stick with the B. However, what I received was a G. While maybe some people think that's a good thing, I intentionally ordered the B. The filter is different (water looks cloudy but my husband swears it's just bubbles) than what I experienced with a B.

This filer for some unknown reason is expensive and the taste of water is so bad my family totally quit drinking from it and using the ice it makes. It removes the taste of clorine but no matter how much you drain after fresh replacement, it still has a bad taste/odor to it. As it the water has passed through a tunnel of mould. I bought exact same one from Lowe's for $29.00 and it had the same ugly taste. I figured that was bad and wanted to try this one which was more expensive. I am going to contact Samsung and find out what the deal is. I am suspecting there are more unsatisfied customers out there in the wild.

This item is on my repeat order list for Amazon, and I'm on my fourth filter. The price is right, and Amazon always ships on time. I replace my filter every 6-9 months, and they do a great job of removing the excessive chlorine that our water district pumps into our water. Easy to install, I have no idea why people are complaining; thankfully I have been saving money buying this on Amazon.

Bosch B22CS80SNS 800 21.7 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel Counter Depth Side-By-Side Refrigerator - Energy

Bosch B22CS80SNS 800 21.7 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel Counter Depth Side-By-Side Refrigerator - Energy StarWe purchased our Bosch refrigerator four years ago at a higher price than the other comparable models of GE or Maytag . It was Bosch's first model out for refrigerators and we purchased it because of the excellent reputation of other appliances. We have had countless problems. We now have no door panel shelves, all are plastic and have broken leaving jars spilling in the floor. Our top drawer which is too deep no longer has glides. Remaining we have only two small drawers and two shelves remaining. The filters for the water dispenser have to be ordered directly from Bosch and are outrageously expensive. I will not purchase another Bosch appliance based on this experience.

Got our first Bosch, and it was great. Quiet and beautiful to look at. But a defect inside allowed the glass shelves to fall off their pegs, just as you put a gallon of milk on it. Bosch came out and condemned the unit. I was impressed. Out comes #2 refrig. Plugged it in and the compressor sounded awful. A metallic rubbing sound inside the compressor. Could hear it across the house. Ice maker did not work. Out came Bosch, who replaced the ice maker but said the compressor was fine. Well the compressor noise has gotten louder, and now the ice maker died again. Also the refrig has a door open alarm feature. Well, my kids left a fruit drawer out a little, which caused the door not to close all the way. I woke up the next morning to a refrigerator that was 50 degrees inside, and no alarm sounded. Out comes Bosch for the third time. He condemns the compressor, ice maker, and a computer board. I contact customer service and demand a new machine, as it is only 2 months old. "Sorry, our warranty says we fix it, so thats what you get" She also refuses to let me talk to anyone higher than her " I am as high as you can get" she says.

I purchased it from Fergusen Enterprises, a wholesaler to the construction market. Jeff at Fergusen in Downers Grove Illinois, stepped in and pressured Bosch to replace the unit. We are currently waiting for Unit #3 to arrive.

Looks beautiful but we've had multiple problems with this model

-plastic shelf just broke off not holding anything too heavy

-shelf top on door shelf won't stay on

-water line freezes to water dispenser if not used for a week or so requiring turning off fridge/emptying freezer

for a day to melt water line for it to work again.

My wife and I have had a Bosch dishwasher for many years and been very happy with it. So when our refrigerator broke, Bosch was first on our list.

Sadly, the refrigerator was a major disappointment. There were problems from the moment it arrived.

First, the freezer door would pop open every time we closed the refrigerator side. There is an alarm to tell you when it is ajar, but the freezer door was open so slightly that the alarm wouldn't go off. Consequently, the freezer frequently frosted over and the food thawed. Then, about three weeks later the water dispenser stopped working.

And about a month later the ice maker stopped making cubes and would only make crushed ice.

Bosch repair men came time after time and each one gave us a different story. Not only could they not fix the problems, but they dented the refrigerator and scratched our floors in the process. One of the repairmen tried to pressure us into signing a receipt to say the problems were fixed, even though they were not.

After months and months of aggravation, the retailer mercifully offered to replace the refrigerator. She recommended the Electrolux Icon.

We LOVE it. Not only is it stunning, it works perfectly. Also, in comparison, I now realize now how cheaply the Bosch was made. The Electrolux doors are heavy and solid. The interior shelves are thick glass and the freezer baskets are substantial chrome. The Electrolux is also much roomier and the space more intelligently engineered. Bottom line: Go with the Electrolux. Save yourself the grief.

Installed 2-1-10. That makes the refrigerator 25 months old. The #3 door shelf has already been replaced twice, once by Sears right after we purchased the unit and again by Bosch. Tonight the #3 shelf broke again resulting in the loss of a brand new, unopened gallon of milk and a gigantic mess all over the hardwood floor. But that's not all. The drawers do not like to close correctly, a defect that the installer from Sears noticed when he initially installed the unit. Not only that, but the ice maker allows ice cubes to fall behind the ice bin resulting in no ice being made and the ice bin eventually runs out of ice and we're left with none.

I bought a Bosch refrigerator because of the excellent quality of their dishwasher, which we have been using for close to 10 years. I will be making a rather unfriendly phone call to Bosch in the morning. I want a Bosch service man out here at my house to confirm that this refrigerator is garbage and I want it replaced at no cost to me, preferably with a different model with a better track record. If Bosch refuses to make good on a very defective product, the next call they receive will be from my attorney. There is no excuse for a product this poorly made to even be on the market.

If you're thinking of buying a Bosch refrigerator, think again. I will not knowingly purchase another Bosch product for my home. Quality has turned to crap.

Orien 100 Bottle, 2-Door Wine Cellar

Orien 100 Bottle, 2-Door Wine Cellar
  • UL approved for commercial use
  • Air-cooled condenser
  • dual independent temperature zones
  • front vented for built-in or freestanding applications
  • CFC -Free

I need to preface my review with the fact I've only had this cooler for 3 days so I can't speak to it's longevity. That being said, it is clearly well-made. It is quiet and and easy to operate. Each shelf holds five bottles two facing one way and three facing the other. Those wine bottles that are of a larger style will fit in every shelf. Ventilation is out the bottom front. I noted the sides were warm to the touch when the unit was initially cooling but not after all the glass and liquid temperatures had lowered and stabilized. Mine is sitting out in the open but it would look classy in a built-in installation. I'm writing this review as a service as I know how hard it is to locate a good wine cooler. In our family, we've gone through three total pieces of junk. One of them actually defaulted to a freezing temperature after a power loss. (BTW This one keeps your settings). Excuse the amateurish video.

Frigidaire FFHS2313L 22.6 Cubic Foot Side-by-Side Refrigerator with PureSource 3 and Stor

Frigidaire FFHS2313L 22.6 Cubic Foot Side-by-Side Refrigerator with PureSource 3 and Store-More Humid, Silver MistI had to buy a refrigerator that fit in a small space (33 inches or less), so I had limited choices and didn't want to spend a fortune. This one fit the bill. It is a very nice mid-range price fridge. The icemaker and water dispenser work great, both the fridge and the freezer are lighted, as well as the water/ice dispenser (a nice bright LCD light) and the storage shelves and bins are nice quality. My previous fridge was a high-end Kitchenaid, and this does not have as many luxury features, but that is to be expected. The stainless and styling have a high-end look and I think it is a very good value for the price. Overall I'm very happy with this fridge!

Do not buy this refrigerator. I found out that every 3 month the water filter will clog, you'll end up with no water and no ice cube.

Sears sent someone to diagnose, but they'll tell you to buy water filter at a steep price of $60.00

Buy

We owned this refrigerator for THREE DAYS when it died! The service rep came out and said that the unit had a bad relay box AND a bad compressor. When I called Electrolux to ask for a replacement unit, they said that they have to make three attempts to repair it before they will replace the unit. Again, the unit was THREE DAYS OLD!! I will never recommend Electrolux/Frigidaire to anyone, and I used to be a big fan.

Danby DCF700W1 7.0 cu.ft. Chest Freezer - White

Danby DCF700W1 7.0 cu.ft. Chest Freezer - White
  • Energy efficient foam insulated cabinet & lid
  • Manual Defrost
  • One vinyl coated basket
  • Front mount mechanical thermostat
  • Defrost drain for quick and easy maintenance

I looked around for a medium sized freezer and the price was at least 50 bucks less than I could find locally. We have been replacing less efficient items in our home. I was very pleased that the yearly cost is only 29.00/yr on the energy guide. Since our electrical cost is just above a nickle rather than $10.65 national average, a dollar a month sounds thrifty to me.

This is the second Danby appliance we own. The other is a dishwasher and 4 years old. Like the freezer it is ultra efficient. Both do match the lines and curves (of the Designer Series) if they happen to be in the same space. Ours are not, but might be important for some.

One thing I was impressed with was the packaging. The foam on the sides was curved (fitted) to prevent shipping damage. The outside box had seen some use. The freezer was in absolutely perfect condition. I did carefully inspect it! Living down the road from the geographical center of North America, the freezer put on a few miles ;~) and was shipped vertical on our UPS truck!

If you are considering a freezer, a chest style is the way to go for energy savings. On an upright, the cold flows out every time you open the door. Not so with a chest style. Cold does not go uphill. Hot moist air does not flow downhill so frost formation is very minimal. No need for "frost-free". Just defrost once a year. That's about the time to find all that stuff that has been there too long anyway!

Prices of food have been jumping up and down in our local area. I have been using a freezer to help with our budget. Most people do not know that cheese and milk can be frozen. We pick them up when on sale. No need for a club membership and often cheaper if you shop right. Same for meat, veggies, ice cream, pizza and the standard freezer stockpile.

Buy Danby DCF700W1 7.0 cu.ft. Chest Freezer - White Now

I have never purchased such a large item anywhere online before, but the fairly large freezer was packaged extremely well and delivered by UPS. As advertised, it certainly has ample room, and even though it is a chest freezer, the two included baskets make life a lot easier than otherwise. Nevertheless, it is the perfect size even if the baskets were not included: two times now, I have had to dig to the bottom for buried items, and, except for cold hands, it is really not bad of a task.

It was priced comparably that could be purchased locally, and with free SuperSaver shipping and no tax, it was a steal, especially since it was delivered right through our front door and into the living room where it is now.

Other than that what can I say? It hasn't stopped running since when I first plugged it in two months ago, but also an important point: it is absolutely quiet. We keep it in the living room where we always sit and can't hear anything at all: the small green light on the bottom front tells us that it's still on the job!

This thing developed ice and dropped to temp in less then 5 hours. It is a lot bigger than it seems like it should be. It has a little built in cage that is very nice for holding things you are worried about getting crushed, and a moveable/removeable basket for small stuff you want to be able to keep a hold of.

Nice freezer for a good price. The delivery folk were very nice as well, brought it right into the room we needed it in.

Works great! It froze my spiced rum in no time without maxing out the thermostat. If you're looking for a little more freezer space I would definitely recommend this one.

This freezer arrived very well packed,no dents,& only took minutes to set up. I placed a cup of water inside & let it run about 4 hours to ensure that it was freezing well. It does a wonderful job & has a lot more room inside than I expected. I live in an apartment & have it set up in my dining area & covered with a tablecloth. It is so quiet that, with the tablecloth over it,it just looks like I have a buffet table. I haven't noticed a huge difference in my electric bill & have definitely saved a lot being able to buy things on sale & having them handy rather than buying so much "Fast Food"! I can't say enough about how much I love this freezer. I HIGHLY recommend it!

GE GXRTDR In-Line Refrigerator/Icemaker Filter

GE GXRTDR In-Line Refrigerator/Icemaker FilterMy wife bought the GXRTDR in-line water filter because the GXRTQR filter was no longer available and the box said it would work as a replacement. As far as I can tell, it will only work if your old tubing is 1/4 in. Mine is 1/2 in. There were adapter fittings for the GXRTQR so I never had any problem with replacing it. I tried to do an install, thinking that the stub of a tube inside the fitting would marry, but it was too short, so I had to put the old filter back on. I have to either replace the tubes on fridge & at the faucet, or find another filter.

I bought the GXRTDR in-line water filter as a replacement to the GXRTQR filter. What a huge mistake! The old filter had a very secure connection. The new GXRTDR has a "quick-connect" style connector. (Ideally, you cut the tube and just stick it in the connector, and it automatically locks in-place. The connector is a little like a "Chinese Finger Trap" where you stick your fingers in a woven bamboo cylinder and your fingers won't come out until you compress the weave.) Anyway, I've used quick-connectors at my work for many years and never had a problem, but I had never used this brand. I pulled the fridge out of its niche and followed the directions. I cut out my old filter hardware and installed the new filter. I let the water run to clear the initial carbon particles, and then I checked for leakage and the connectors seemed to be sealed. I put the refrigerator back in the niche and sometime that night, it sprung a leak at the internal o-ring seal. My kitchen is on the second floor, so the water leaked through the floor soaking the drywall ceiling in the bedroom below. It was a huge expensive, time-wasting mess.

Like the above poster I got this filter to replace my previous GXRTQR inline filter.

My only complaint is that the outlet port for the water tubing was a pain in the neck to get to go up flush against the area it is supposed to. which resulted in water spurting everywhere. however once I got that in it worked fine.

no leaks or antything of the sort

This is the only thing GE now makes for my old o/r system. It was cheaper than home depot, but the description didn't say I would need a new valve (only 4$) to modify it so it would fit. Not the biggest deal and once it was installed worked like a charm.

Want GE GXRTDR In-Line Refrigerator/Icemaker Filter Discount?

After years of buying those expensive GE filter cartridges $35 to $50, that the manufacturer hooks you into purchasing when they sell you their refrigerator, I put the blank plug that comes with the refrigerator in and installed this easy to install filter on the supply line in the rear of the refrigerator. Works great, and saves lots of money. I will definitely purchase more of these in the future. When initially installed the first gallon of water comes out black from the charcoal but once its flushed, it is a great filtration system.

Liebherr CS2062 36 19.6 cu. ft. Counter-Depth French Door Refrigerator

Liebherr CS2062 36 19.6 cu. ft. Counter-Depth French Door RefrigeratorI purchased this refrig as a replacement for a 30+ year old Sub-Zero that finally fizzled out. From the beginning I had problems with temp control in the refrig section. Except for the top shelf, everything freezes. Milk, water, eggs, produce. I reset the temp to 44F but everything still freezes.

I tried to return the refrig to the seller but they refused to take it back because I did not have the original packing. So far I have been unsuccessful in getting the manufacturer to service the unit.

I was trying to save a bit of money, but sincerely regret that I did not buy a new Sub-Zero instead of this very poor product.

We purchased a Liebherr CS1301 a few years back and had nothing but problems.

The finish, or lack thereof is almost impossible to keep clean. We contacted Liebherr service and were told the fridge only had a partial factory finish and we should use the 2 oz bottle supplied to do the finial finish. Talk about insane for a premium priced product.

We have tried no fewer than a dozen different cleaners and nothing works.

The freezer started acting up, the alarm would sound showing temp dropping. After awhile I contacted Liebherr. I was told there is an issue with the sensor whereby it freezes. This causes the fridge to bypass the thermostat.

Ok, so where is the customer notification or recall to fix this issue?

I've always purchased German products whenever possible, this brand is a total disappointment.

If I ever wanted my wife to leave me, all I would have to do is buy another Liebherr product.

Buy Liebherr CS2062 36 19.6 cu. ft. Counter-Depth French Door Refrigerator Now

We bought this refrigerator about 6 years ago and love it.

In the beginning there was an issue with the ice maker -

an upgrade by the factory, but we never noticed anything

wrong with the original ice maker.

As far as cleaning the doors is concerned, I read a review

here complaining about having to finish the doors himself

and that the factory only supplied a 2oz bottle of finish

solution. That was a wrong statement. The doors are finished

100% at the factory BUT they are Stainless Steel which

shows every fingerprint and more. The 2 oz bottle was a

"sample" of a cleaner the factory recommends which is hard

to find. I use "Zip" commercial stainless steel spray cleaner

and clean cloths. Works fine absolutely no problem.

We like this brand so well, and the style, that we have put

the 24" (non ice maker) in our beach house.

These units are well designed, sleek with an European flair,

and keep perishables perfect. I love that we can control the

temp "to the degree"!

Ok It's hard to vacuum the air filter because you have to get on

your knees and unscrew several screws that hold the decorative

lower air panel in place. Since it is "German" I would have

thought that they would have used magnets down there, so the

R&R of the panel would be "easy". But really, that is the only

negative I can think of. We love this machine!

By the way, a neighbor of ours has one now (5 years) and they

love theirs too. Everybody who looks at ours thinks it is an

"build-in" refrigerator. It is not! It is free standing, but

the design looks like a built-in.

We wanted the look of a built in but didn't want the additional cost, this is basically the only company who is filling that particular niche. Really pleased with the appearance and quality and feel it was worth spending a little more money in the long run. If you need a lot of freezer space, it is pretty small, but if not, the two drawer system is convenient and

Keeps things really organized. We were a little apprehensive about ordering an appliance online, but it was probably one of the easiest delivery experiences we have had. The unit is shipped to a local delivery company and they contact you to set up a time window, exactly as you would if you bought it locally. Overall, nothing but a positive experience all around.
