Buy True Door Gasket For T, TS, TC, GDM (72" Models) Now

I ordered this gasket for a refrigerator at my restaurant. I was surprised to find it on Amazon but the price was very good compared to what the technician quoted me when he came to repair my cooler the previous week and suggested I replace it.

I ordered and it arrived several days before I thought it was, so I was surprised at how fast it got to me (Thanks amazon!!) I was not sure exactly how to install the gasket but it came with very easy to follow instructions and I was done in under 10 minutes. The gasket looked identical to the old gasket (minus the torn up parts) and the door closes just fine on the refrigerator.

Overall great experience and saved me serious bucks.

We purchased this beverage center several years ago. We still have not had cold drinks. The first one malfunctioned immediately and had to be returned, even though it was obvious something was wrong with it because the smell was terrible and it ran so loudly that you could not be in the same room with it. The company still fought us on taking it back and I just recently found out our local dealer still has not received reimbursement on it. We then received a new one and after many months of warm canned items we finally got tired of the troubleshooting and our local dealer gave us an inexpensive loaner (which does keep things cold, but is not nearly as attractive) and they have had ours for over 5 months. We just finished a remodel and still no beverage center for the cabinet company to fit. Finally called upset at the amount of time it had taken and once again Danby was the problem. Supposedly a part still had not come and our local dealer was not receiving the support from Danby. I would NEVER buy another product from them. Sadly my husband sells beer and everyone knows to bring a cooler because in the summer the beer is not cold at our house.

4.5 X 20 Whole House Water Filter - Transparent with Cartridge and Mounting Bracket PWFHT4520BT - 1

4.5 X 20 Whole House Water Filter - Transparent with Cartridge and Mounting Bracket PWFHT4520BT - 1 Inch NPT - by Kem FlowI knocked off a star due to the misinformation. The inlet and outlet are 1". I suppose that it is true that I could attach adapters to make it 3/4" or 1.5", but I could attach adapters that would make it 8" as well. The listing makes you think that it has a 1.5" inlet & outlet and then you can dial it down. That's a significant detail, due to the amount of flow that you might want and the circumstances of your use.

I'm planning on using it as a mechanical aquarium filter with a 0.35 micron pleated and cleanable cartridge.

Having struggled with rusty well water for almost 20 years, we finally did the filter thing at the suggestion of my son. What a difference this has made! I no longer have that rusty color in my plumbing fixtures, I actually feel like cleaning again and I don't have to use the heavy chemicals anymore. Love the large size, we have a large family and so far the filter has been doing its job. One month into this and still no rusty water!

GE WR71X10764 Module Shelf Insert for Refrigerator

GE WR71X10764 Module Shelf Insert for RefrigeratorI bought this to replace the front of one of the shelves on the right hand door of the fridge. The part was way too long, and must be for a bin in the body of the fridge, not the door. I hope this keeps someone from making the same mistake I did.

Seemed to be a genuine GE part. Fit perfectly with no problems or defects. Snapped right in as it should.

I was glad I found this insert for the refrigerator shelf. When it broke I thought I was going to have to replace the whole shelf at a much higher price. Purchasing from the manufacturer is always a safer bet.

After years of abuse, the door shelves in the refridgerator could take it no more. Crack!

Used condiments, all over the floor.

Not to worry, a quick trip to the appliance page, and I was able to resupply, at a fraction of the cost of a service call.

Want GE WR71X10764 Module Shelf Insert for Refrigerator Discount?

Much cheaper than replacing the whole bin. Snaps into place easily. (I bought it for a GE Profile)

Caution:

My first insert had to be returned because it arrived broken at the edge. I think this was because a second item was rattling around in the same box. Make sure anything else you order at the same time as this part is soft and fuzzy!

Koolatron KWCXJ6 Coca-Cola 9-Can-Capacity Mini Fridge, Red

Koolatron KWCXJ6 Coca-Cola 9-Can-Capacity Mini Fridge, Red
  • 7-liter mini fridge holds up to 9 12-ounce cans of soda
  • Solid-state thermoelectric cooling system keeps drinks cold
  • Self-locking recessed door handle; removable shelf
  • Vibrant red exterior with white Coca-Cola trademark
  • Measures 11 by 11 by 14 inches

I needed to upgrade from the smaller 6 can cooler as the smaller fridge did not hold 1/2 liter water bottles. this is larger, not quite as cute but does take the larger bottles and cools well.

Buy Koolatron KWCXJ6 Coca-Cola 9-Can-Capacity Mini Fridge, Red Now

This fridge is a great value for the price. I haven't used the heating option yet, but I have no complaints on how it keeps my drinks cool. It is tall enough inside to hold 4 bottles of water upright in addition to 3 cans of soda. I ordered the fridge because I am deployed overseas w/the military and was able to get it shipped directly to an APO address. Well worth the money I spent!

Revised 11/29/10: I've owned this fridge only two months and took careful care of it, but it's already broken. The fan bearings went out (and now it will run but with this horrible loud noise). I can't return it, and it's going to cost me half the purchase price to fix it. Not sure it's worth it. Buyer beware. This thing is cute but flimsy and not built to last.

Original review, 09/10: I bought this fridge for work to keep my lunch and milk cool so I can avoid the company fridge. It's the perfect size -it holds a quart carton of milk. Right now I also have in it a small Pyrex lunch dish, half a cantaloupe, and a block of cheese -and there's room for more. It's whisper-quiet, low-key, and everything in it is very cold.

One thing to note is that mine, which I ordered through Amazon, does not look like the picture. It's more rounded, the oval on the front is a metal design that looks like a retro refrigerator, and besides a tiny Coca-Cola logo on the top, there are no others (meaning, no big logo on the side or the front). It's very cute, much more so than the picture shown here. It's lightweight and not very big for the amount of space inside. It's also worth noting that there is a small shelf on the inside of the door -very small -but big enough to put an 8 ounce block of cheese in vertically.

That said, I don't know how long it will last. Mine is running 24 hours a day. So far it's the best purchase I've made all year and the price is fantastic, especially compared to other mini fridges that aren't much bigger.

This unit stopped cooling just after a month of use. Koolatron would not respond to my emails, even though I tried to send my notes to multiple addresses. I finally got customer service on the phone. They informed me I had to pay to ship it back before they would even talk about fixing or replacing. Please do not be fooled into purchasing anything from them. They obviously face serious manufacturing and customer service challenges. Stay clear.

I am so pleased with this purchase! I received my new mini-fridge in a short timeframe and have been using it ever since. I have it in my office for water and other beverages. It easily manages .5 liter bottles and keeps them very cold. Plus it is totally quiet! I love this product!!

12 Volt Portable RV Refridgerator 12v Freezer Truck Fridge Car Portable Electric Boat Fridge (2-Yea

12 Volt Portable RV Refridgerator 12v Freezer Truck Fridge Car Portable Electric Boat Fridge
  • For use in Use in boats, RV's, camping and off-road vehicles.
  • 12/24 V DC & 110 V AC with auto switch.
  • UL and CUL approved
  • Volume: 40 Quarts
  • Two Year Warranty

I just purchased an Engel MR040 fridge/freezer based on the companies' reputation and consumer reviews of Engel. Product looks very durable and cools quickly and relatively quietly.

I bought the unit to install in the cuddy of my boat, to be fixed mounted with the Engel transit slide mount.

Following the instructions that came with the transit slide mount I removed the rubber corner protectors and installed the 4 round mounting feet.

Problems -

The problem is that on the compressor side of the unit the round feet come in contact with bolt heads on the bottom of the unit, and the round feet will not sit flush against the bottom of the unit. I fixed that by notching the feet so that they would clear the bolt heads.

Also, one of the bolts that secures the round feet the unit on the compressor side when tightened makes contact with something inside the unit causing a loud noise from the fan (since the rubber corners were removed I could see that the head of the bolt was touching something inside the unit so I removed that foot and the noise went away so I inserted a spacer between the bolt head and the foot and secured the foot to the unit and now the foot is secure and not contacting the compressor and the fan noise went away.

Engel needs their tech guys try to put together the MR040 with the transit slide so they can address these problems.

The fix could be prenotching the round feet and supply shorter bolts to attach the round feet.

I am not so impressed that I had to re-engineer the fridge, since I spent a lot of money for it, and I'm sure that other not so "handy" buyers would not been able to figure out how to do what I did.

Kalorik 21-Bottle Wine Bar, Black/Silver

Kalorik 21-Bottle Wine Bar, Black/Silver
  • 21 Bottles, 3 bottle per shelf, Dual zones
  • Upper zone for white wine (adjustable from 44 to 54-DegreeF)
  • Lower zone for red wine (adjustable from 54 to 64-Degree F)
  • Unique state-of-the-art thermoelectric technology
  • Adjustable thermostat for ideal temperature control

I was a little hesitant to buy this fridge since it had no reviews, but I'm glad I did. The fridge looks great and so far has performed excellently. This is my third wine fridge (the other two just stopped working) and so far it has been the best. It keeps it's temperatures constant and is very quick at getting to the correct temperature. The handle was kind of a pain to install, but that's no real reason not to buy the thing. It holds 21 bottles (three to a shelf) with the ability to store a few larger bottles on the bottom shelf. Otherwise, it is a bit of a pain to house the larger bottles, but it seems that's the case with most of the products on the market (especially ones that are made to have a compact profile). The shelves pull out to access the bottles . I'm not a big white drinker so there are a few more slots in the white section then I really need. The top part does go up to 54 degrees so it's not that big of a deal to store reds up top as well. For those wondering, it has two fans and is completely silent and vibration free.

I had a similar experience as the user above. This unit does not cool.when I contacted customer service they were little to no help and told me to ship the cooler back to them... I live in CA so it cost me $120 in shipping fees. When my unit was returned to me the unit was in terrible shape. The unit was dented, scratched, and the door fell off. I called customer service and there response was to blame FedEx although the box and shipping material were in fine shape. When I put the unit back together and plugged it in to my surprise it did not cool. I can go on and on about the poor quality of this unit and the rude experience with their customer service team..... Long story short us you get what you pay for. Pass and keep looking!!!

I wanted to upgrade from a small but excellent working 6-bottle cooler by Cuisinart to one with two zones for both red and white wines. The Kaloric WCL 32964 21 appears to be of good workmanship and arrived safely in a well designed package. After assembling it I placed it in a well ventilated area and set the controls to 48 deg.for the white wine (upper section) and 63 deg for the red. Although the room temperature never has exceeded 75 deg F. the upper section has never been able to get below 56 deg. The lower section keeps switching between 62 and 63 deg, which I suppose is normal. The User's guide claims that the unit can cool to 30 deg. below room temperature. This unit has only managed 19 deg. Disappointing.

DuPont WFIR100X High Capacity Refrigerator Filter

DuPont WFIR100X High Capacity Refrigerator FilterI purchased this to replace an in line filter for my icemaker. All connection hardware is included for a 1/4 inch line but no bracket to hang the filter. I purchased two steel 2 1/2 inch conduit hangers from an electrical supply store for $1.63 plus tax. The conduit two hangers are perfect to hang the filter in the basement. This was a quick easy install and the filter seems to work as it should. I purchased more of these filters just to have ready to use. The cost of the filters seem to be very low compared to other filters and the 4,000 gallon rated life is nice.

JustSomeGuy's experience matches mine with these filters.

They're perfectly fine filters as far as I can tell except that they incorporate a little black rubber-like gasket thing that is supposed to be a flow restrictor.

It makes sense to restrict the flow rate through an activated carbon filter to guarantee good "contact time" between the water and the activated carbon so it can do its job properly. If the water blasts through the filter too fast, the activated carbon won't have time to absorb and adsorb the nasties out of the water.

But either the design of the flow restrictors these filters use is flawed, or there's a QC problem at the factory because in my experience, the flow is restricted to (and I'm not exaggerating) a rate where it takes five to ten minutes to fill a standard coffee cup. Probably eight fluid ounces.

At that flow rate, I have no doubt that the removal rate for chlorine, lead, taste-and-odor, etc., is probably quite excellent because the CT is extremely long. But I'm sure this isn't what the manufacturer intended.

If you take the fitting back out of the bottom (inlet) end of the filter, you'll see the little black rubber-like flow restrictor. If you pull that out and then put the connector back in place, the filters will flow like a fire hose. But that's obviously what the restrictor is supposed to prevent. What we want is a nice, gentle flow such that the contact time is long enough for the filter to do its job, but not so slow that it renders the unit useless.

I'm not sure how the design of the restrictor is supposed to work. I think it's meant to be more than just an orifice that creates resistance to the flow. Instead, I think they're trying to be clever and create a system where the harder the water pressure pushes on the restrictor, the more it pushes the restrictor into a conical seating area, so the orifice closes down more at high pressure than it does at low pressure, thus achieving some level of actual "flow regulation".

But it's not a sophisticated enough design to actually accomplish that, and some of them push completely closed, or very nearly so. Or maybe they've had a run of bad restrictors that are softer than they're supposed to be.

Or perhaps they only work properly when installed one direction, and all of mine were in backwards. When I get a chance, I may try reversing the orientation of a flow restrictor to see if that allows it to work correctly.

Whatever the reason, it appears that some of us are getting filters with flow restrictors that render the filters virtually useless. Taking the flow restrictor out increases the flow rate, but defeats the whole idea of getting proper contact time.

I may install an extra valve ahead of the filter, and abandon the flow restrictor so I can adjust the flow rate manually. But that'll cost about as much as the whole filter cost. :)

Du Pont needs to be spot checking some of these as they leave the factory so they can see what's going out.

I've tried three of the five I bought, and all three fail to flow at a reasonable rate, But then again, they're probably all out of the same production run.

When considering an additional inline filter it will more than double the replacement time for the very expensive installed one in the unit.

Liebherr CS2062 36 19.6 cu. ft. Counter-Depth French Door Refrigerator

Liebherr CS2062 36 19.6 cu. ft. Counter-Depth French Door RefrigeratorI purchased this refrig as a replacement for a 30+ year old Sub-Zero that finally fizzled out. From the beginning I had problems with temp control in the refrig section. Except for the top shelf, everything freezes. Milk, water, eggs, produce. I reset the temp to 44F but everything still freezes.

I tried to return the refrig to the seller but they refused to take it back because I did not have the original packing. So far I have been unsuccessful in getting the manufacturer to service the unit.

I was trying to save a bit of money, but sincerely regret that I did not buy a new Sub-Zero instead of this very poor product.

We purchased a Liebherr CS1301 a few years back and had nothing but problems.

The finish, or lack thereof is almost impossible to keep clean. We contacted Liebherr service and were told the fridge only had a partial factory finish and we should use the 2 oz bottle supplied to do the finial finish. Talk about insane for a premium priced product.

We have tried no fewer than a dozen different cleaners and nothing works.

The freezer started acting up, the alarm would sound showing temp dropping. After awhile I contacted Liebherr. I was told there is an issue with the sensor whereby it freezes. This causes the fridge to bypass the thermostat.

Ok, so where is the customer notification or recall to fix this issue?

I've always purchased German products whenever possible, this brand is a total disappointment.

If I ever wanted my wife to leave me, all I would have to do is buy another Liebherr product.

Buy Liebherr CS2062 36 19.6 cu. ft. Counter-Depth French Door Refrigerator Now

We bought this refrigerator about 6 years ago and love it.

In the beginning there was an issue with the ice maker -

an upgrade by the factory, but we never noticed anything

wrong with the original ice maker.

As far as cleaning the doors is concerned, I read a review

here complaining about having to finish the doors himself

and that the factory only supplied a 2oz bottle of finish

solution. That was a wrong statement. The doors are finished

100% at the factory BUT they are Stainless Steel which

shows every fingerprint and more. The 2 oz bottle was a

"sample" of a cleaner the factory recommends which is hard

to find. I use "Zip" commercial stainless steel spray cleaner

and clean cloths. Works fine absolutely no problem.

We like this brand so well, and the style, that we have put

the 24" (non ice maker) in our beach house.

These units are well designed, sleek with an European flair,

and keep perishables perfect. I love that we can control the

temp "to the degree"!

Ok It's hard to vacuum the air filter because you have to get on

your knees and unscrew several screws that hold the decorative

lower air panel in place. Since it is "German" I would have

thought that they would have used magnets down there, so the

R&R of the panel would be "easy". But really, that is the only

negative I can think of. We love this machine!

By the way, a neighbor of ours has one now (5 years) and they

love theirs too. Everybody who looks at ours thinks it is an

"build-in" refrigerator. It is not! It is free standing, but

the design looks like a built-in.

We wanted the look of a built in but didn't want the additional cost, this is basically the only company who is filling that particular niche. Really pleased with the appearance and quality and feel it was worth spending a little more money in the long run. If you need a lot of freezer space, it is pretty small, but if not, the two drawer system is convenient and

Keeps things really organized. We were a little apprehensive about ordering an appliance online, but it was probably one of the easiest delivery experiences we have had. The unit is shipped to a local delivery company and they contact you to set up a time window, exactly as you would if you bought it locally. Overall, nothing but a positive experience all around.
