The kit is very well made and pretty solid. Few glitches: didn't come with the instructions and the faucet connection inside the tower was loose causing tons of foam and hours of trouble shooting. With some hardware from home depot and watching a few how to videos on youtube this is a pretty easy install and a great bbq addition.
I got this set for around 200 bucks and for the past year I have been very impressed with it. All the materials are pretty heavy duty and well made. The regulators for the CO2 and the keg connectors are pretty hefty, as well as the 5lb bottle.
I haven't had to fill the CO2 bottle more than once (I keept it at about 12-14 psi) and I have gone through five 1/4 kegs and one 1/2 keg. Also, a lot of people have questions about where to fill up their CO2 bottles...I use a fire safety equipment supply store and it costs me $20. If that doesn't work, look for industrial gas suppliers or even a paintball supply store.
The tower comes with a styrafoam insulation so the beer in the lines doesn't get warm in the summertime. If you are serious about building a kegerator, make sure you also get a cleaning kit. Whenever you replace a keg you could clean the lines and equipment. Also, since the CO2 is injected at the tap on the keg, make sure you dump out the first glass you pour (the beer that has been sitting in the lines and has gone flat).
The only reason I didn't give this set five stars is because it doesn't come with instructions, and I have made a mess in my kegerator more than once by reassembling it the wrong way.
All in all, if you are looking for a solid setup, go with this kit. Over the past year it has paid for itself considering I don't have to go out and buy 12 or 24 packs of beer anymore.
We purchased this beverage center several years ago. We still have not had cold drinks. The first one malfunctioned immediately and had to be returned, even though it was obvious something was wrong with it because the smell was terrible and it ran so loudly that you could not be in the same room with it. The company still fought us on taking it back and I just recently found out our local dealer still has not received reimbursement on it. We then received a new one and after many months of warm canned items we finally got tired of the troubleshooting and our local dealer gave us an inexpensive loaner (which does keep things cold, but is not nearly as attractive) and they have had ours for over 5 months. We just finished a remodel and still no beverage center for the cabinet company to fit. Finally called upset at the amount of time it had taken and once again Danby was the problem. Supposedly a part still had not come and our local dealer was not receiving the support from Danby. I would NEVER buy another product from them. Sadly my husband sells beer and everyone knows to bring a cooler because in the summer the beer is not cold at our house.
I love my Kitchenaid fridge. I use the produce drawer a lot, which saves on energy use because I don't open the doors for the frequent use items like fruits, vegies, yogurt, canned cat food, and probiotic vitamins. Plenty of space in the French door compartment, and the freezer drawer is huge. Never short on ice. I have had this fridge for six months with no issues. I've never noticed excess noise. The person who wrote the bad review must've gotten one with a problem because this fridge is not noisy by nature. Hardware can and does come from the factory flawed now and then it seems like if the buyer wasn't happy he could return it or have it fixed. This is a good looking appliance, too.
I purchased mine at Sears Outlet scratch and dent for $1000.00. Folks, this is the way to buy appliances in my opinion. Mine has a dent in the side that doesn't show because it's recessed. Big deal...a dent at the bottom about 4 inches long hidden away.
Anyway, on to the good stuff. The produce drawer is great. The shelving on the left side of the door is wasteful. It's one of those things where you look at it sideways and use your imagination...I use it to stash sticks of butter. The frig is roomy. The water filter replacement is handy and easy to do. Never seems to run out of ice. The freezer is deep and holds a lot of items.
I've not had the experience with the noise but it does sound like a fax machine whenever it fills the ice trays. It's humorous actually...the frig sounds like a fax is coming through at any moment. That's only a couple of seconds so it's no big deal.
For $1000 at the Sears Outlet center I am more than satisfied.
Love this fridge. It hold alot of food and we have not had the problems with the noise. All refriderators make some kind of noise and this one is no loader than any other. We love the way it tells you have many ounces of water you are using. All of these new refriderators have smaller ice makers than in the past but this one keeps up pretty good. If you are going to have a party, buy some bags of ice but we have a family of four and we do not have a problem with how fast this makes ice. Overall, it looks great and works great. The whirlpool refridge is very similiar but just not as fancy on the inside but this kitchenaid has a much longer warrenty on the compressor than the whirlpool.
The refrigeraor looks good but it does not sound good. The compressor and fan run 80% of the time and are loud. It is very annoying. It appears KitchenAid has stop making its "Whisper Quiet Compressor System." What a mistake I made buying this.
Simple install as it was a direct replacement. Just plugged it in and waited.
After reaching cycle temperature it did the first cycle and filled with water. Harvesting ice like crazy now. We were really glad that it was just the ice maker that went bad and not something else in the system.
I was searching for this for weeks to find a great price and product. This fit perfectly into my very old whirlpool freezer without a problem. It was 1/3 of the price from the Sears website and was the exact same thing!
Installed this ice maker and it does a great job making ice. What else could you ask for? The person I installed the maker for is very pleased with her new supply of ice.
this was a replacement unit for my old ice maker that came with the freezer (bought used). and it works perfect. Easy to install came will everything i need to install it.
I thought I was getting Aquafresh filters. I received 2 Supco filters instead. They are the same fit but I am not sure about the quality these replacement filters.
It does work as it apparently removes the tap water odor from my fridge water. It also fits well. The deievery was also quicker than promised.
I originally went to Home Depot to look for a filter replacement, but it was $30 for one. So I decided to look online and found 2 for $16. I was glad to find a better deal!
Bought this item through Amazon which they shipped 7 Jun 2012. Today 20 Aug 2012 I phoned the Wagan Corp to let them know that their item was faulty. I went on to explain that the DC adaptor cord was faulty and the fridge would not work, they said the cords that came with the item are not coverd by their warranty. The warranty in the manual did not disqualify any thing being exempt from the warranty. Would suggest not buying from a company which does not stand behind their products as shipped.
We just used this item on a two week trip. Our purpose was to keep some medication cool and have cool water. It worked on both counts within minutes the inside is cool. Remember to unplug it at night. It apparently only took about six hours to drain an Explorer battery. (It was still cool inside in the morning.) Lesson learned. These things cool to about 40 degrees below ambient, so in an air conditioned car it worked great. During short stops (up to two hours) we left it on and even though the inside car temp got to 100F the cooler was able to maintain a good cool environment. For what it is, and for the power it draws (45 watts or so?) it does the trick. It's not a refrigerator it's a cooler and for that it saved us from having to buy ice on the trip. I'm very happy with it. If the unit had more insulation is world be less useful because it would take up two much room in the car the size was just right for our needs.
I bought this cooler for a family road trip. Just before we left I filled it with 6 bottles of orange juice from the fridge the night before and put them inside. They were still nice and cool when we drank them. There was still plenty of room for yogurt, string cheese and apples for the kids. I love how it helps us save money and eat better by bringing our own healthy snacks from home instead of stopping for fast food when the kids get hungry. The cup holders are a nice addition too.
My wife and I had to make a 5 hour trip to a neighboring state to visit family. We had medication that needs to be kept refrigerated and at the hotel/motel we were staying at over the weekend, they did not offer a fridge in the room. So instead of getting a cooler and playing the "dump and refill the ice" game, I opted to purchase this product. As some other users have pointed out, this is a cooler, not an actual fridge. Perhaps calling the product a "personal fridge" could be misleading. The price was decent, compared to some others out there and it does keep things cool (have not yet tried the warmer). Our jeep had a cigarette lighter plugin that still pumped out power when the jeep was turned off, so in short instances where we had to stop for dinner/lunch, the cooler kept on working. One thing to note in the instructions, it does say not to leave it plugged in that way and make sure you unplug it before starting the vehicle again this little cooler does suck some battery power.
I ended up having to buy a converter to be able to plug the power into the wall socket from a cigarette lighter. DO NOT USE the converters that are used for cell phones! They do not output enough amps. I made this mistake and it melted the converter that was plugged into the wall. Wagan does sell a converter that is made this product. Since I was already in the middle of my trip, I bought a similar converter from the local W-mart and picked up a Coleman branded converter. It worked and the cooler kept the meds cool for the next 2 days without incident. For what I bought it to do, it did the job well. The only cons to this product is that the product looks and feels a little cheaply made and labels that are placed in the front of the switches, looked like it was (crookedly) placed there by a child. Other than that it is a decent product.
Only used this one time, the second time it wouldn't even turn on. Wish I would have listened to the other reviews and skipped this purchase! Don't waste your money.
I have owned this wine fridge for two years and have no complaints. Great wine fridge, keeps the whites just the temperature I like them. Cool LED light. I love that you can change the temperature also. Happy w/ my purchase.
I ordered this product early in the season as a christmas gift. I received confirmation of my order, and then I also received confirmation that the product had shipped. Imagine my surprise when at least a week later I received a message from the manufacturer telling me that they'd had a problem, and that the product hadn't shipped after all, and that it wouldn't be available until 12/26. Obviously that wouldn't work as a cmas gift. I cancelled my order. It took quite some time to get confirmation of my cancellation, and then even longer for Amazon to notify me that my acct had been credited. I was stunned to hear that I'd been charged at all for something that had never even been shipped to me. I'm a big fan of Amazon, but I've learned to limit my shopping to those things that Amazon ships directly. I've had bad experiences every other time. In the end, I found a similar (better ?) product locally.
This item looks like it would work great... that is, if it had been installed prior to the installation of our very solid granite countertops. Since I suspect a lot of people might want to install these after their counter has already been installed, I fault the seller for not clarifying that this is not possible. Hence the three stars for a product that would probably work great otherwise.
I have a new frigidaire dish washer and needed a side mount. I got this one and couldnt really figure it out, but i called my guy and he came was really impressed with the product, asked where i got it, and said he planned on buying a handful and keeping them in his truck to offer to other people. We both liked it and its been on now for 4 or 5 months and is holding strong.
I purchased these because I have a granite countertop. They work well but are not ideal if you are buying a dishwasher that should be flush mounted i.e. hides the top of the door when closed. I made them work but had to add some furring strips to pull it off. Even so I recommend this product. OEM all the way.
I purchased this to use on a new Frigidaire dishwasher with a quartz countertop. Installation was straight forward. The directions are easy to follow. You'll need a drill with a small bit to make a little hole to mount the bracket to the frame of the dishwasher. Once installed, the dishwasher is secure, and the brackets are out of sight.
I had seen some reviews stating that this product was difficult-to-impossible to install with the countertop was in place. You have to install the screws by slightly bending back the corners of the tub assembly. The design could have been much better, but it can be done without too much trouble. If possible, it will be much easier if the countertop isn't in the way.
Really poor product design. Must be installed prior to granite installation. Impossible to install if granite counter is already in. Use the press on Granite Grabbers instead w/epoxy attaching to the granite counters...No drilling & they work GREAT! Just press on with C clamps to granite and you're good to go
I was concerned at first because GE changed their part number but this was the right product.
My refrigerator calls for a MWF so I was a little confused and not sure if this was the right one but it was and fit and worked great. Seller was great too.
Smartwater filter came with the refrigerator so this purchase was a replacement for the original. The filter received in a few short days, reinstalled quickly and easily and the water tastes great. Cannot honestly compare it with other filters but am satisfied with what I have.
I ordered this filter that states it is 2x10 in size when it got here it was 6 inches long. The seller stated it was a matching problem on their end. Stated that if they sent me what I ordered it would still be wrong so refunded me money and that is the only reason I gave one star. The seller gave me link to order filter I needed and guess what? It is the exact same one I ordered the in the first place. NO THANKS NOT AGAIN.

We had this side by side Whirpool Gold for 8 years and we mistakenly taught it to be a good purchase.
When it broke last May, we found that the parts in the compressor compartment were attached with tie-wraps and Sears service were not even able to fix it anymore (because the fridge was cheaply made but also because they are really incompetent).
So when the Sears tech mentioned that KitchenAid has better warranty and after the third unsuccessful repair we decided to replace the Whirpool crap, we went to look for a KitchenAid. But then we learned that they are all made by Whirpool: KitcheAid, Maytag, and some others too. They all look the same, they all have this stupid water dispenser that you have to keep the door open to use it and they are all the same questionable quality as our old fridge.
We finally decided for the Samsung and so far we are very happy with our decision. Even in the store it was standing away from all the others and it was making a huge impression as a product of a different clas.. We have it only for a week now, so there is no reliability proof yet, but quality wise, you can feed the difference immediatelly. Great finish, quiet, everything works pefeect, and the electronic controls are just great. Everything looks like it was well thaught and designed. Nothing was neglected. Not talking about you having 25.5 cu.ft. where all the other brands have only 22 cu.ft.
This fridge seemed ideal with all the functionality and deep space, yet compact enough for a Manhattan apartment. But it has some serious structural flaws. Between the cooling cycles it warms up so much that ice cream in freezer melts and the meat (partially) thaws. You can see frost and dew on the bottles etc in the fridge. Then ice maker starts to leak water.
Then everything recools and ice forms again in the ice maker. But because it is formed from the previously melted ice, ice makers gets jammed.
I had 3 different PC Richards technicians come and take a look and they tried everything, including changing the two computer motherboards! But nothing has fixed the problem.
Samsung Fridges have MAJOR problems. See this site: http://www.applianceblog.com/mainforums/samsung/26180-samsung-water-bottom-refrigerator. . After 4 years, mine builds up water in the bottom all the time because of corrosion and blocked drains. For 2000 bucks, get another brand and save the hassle and heartache!
I own an RF267 Samsung fridge. I highly suggest you search online about problems with Samsung refrigerators that are only 2-3 years old. Ours is leaking water. Our in-laws are having the same problem with their Samsung refrigerator. I suggest you do some research before buying a Samsung refrigerator.

I have a small spot that isn't "full width". This is absolutely the best fridge I've found that will fit in the spot. The capacity is huge and the layout is very logical and easy to use.
Used on RTW22A Maytag. Connections are reversed from OEM part. Just roll the new timer over like you are going to install it backwards and plug the connections on. You might have to pull on the wiring a bit when you roll the switch over to install it correctly. You can tell how to plug this in by the spacing of the connectors and if you are lucky, by the corresponding letters for each connection. Other than the above difference in connector orientation this part works perfect.
