I love this fridge. I don' t know how much you've been researching refrigerators but I've noticed that there just aren't any 5 star models with more than 10 reviews. It seems like most people don't post reviews unless they have issues, which means only bad reviews.

On this model I think people mostly complained about the ice drawer and ice dispenser. Both work fine for me, just make sure you put your glass right up to it and ice won't fly everywhere. As for the ice drawer, I have no issues removing it and I haven't had any freeze ups for the months I've had it. It looks great and stays nice and cold, what more do you want from a fridge? If I find I start having issues I'll update my review.

My husband would have preferred purchasing a similar model where we live (at a much higher price but this was from my account), so that he wouldn't have to set it up himself (which didn't take very long :-)

We have an older home, so this frig gave us more capacity but still fits into a small space. I like the layout of the shelves, bins, etc. We haven't yet hooked up a water line for the ice maker, but hopefully that will go smoothly.

I like the stainless steel front, but I didn't realize that the sides would be painted in a matching color. Still, for the price, it looks fine. However, I believe the product description should note this.

Delivery was fast and easy and the vendor and shipper communicated well with me.

ALkar International Hello Kitty Mini Fridge

My wife bought it mainly to refrigerate Baby formula (ready-to-use) as she wanted to avoid going downstairs during middle of the night. The specifications online doesn't really tell how cool the fridge gets to. So here it is, if anyone is looking to buy a cheap fridge for this specific purpose or to keep items real cold, it won't help you. The minimum temperature this will go is around 46°F or 8°C. The infant formula or milk needs to be stored in the refrigerator at 35-40° F or 2-4° C. I ended up getting a proper Black and Decker mini fridge from Walmart for $89 (with a real compressor and ice-tray, of course you can't keep it on your table). Was too lazy to return it so ended up storing it along with other junk.

This little frig/warmer is the perfect size for hiding under an office desk or displaying on a counter maybe in a dorm room? The handle is a little tricky, and I discovered the door opened several times before I got the hang of securing it, but I love it. The warmer works well for heating up small items, which was a surprise. I highly recommend this product!

It's tiny, but you can fit some cans in there, and the shelf is removable so if you take that out you can fit about 6 bottles. It has a handle so you can carry it around if you want. It comes with a car cord so you can put it in your car, and a regular wire to just keep it in you're room. It's adorable, honestly. It works perfectly too. I would recommend this for everyone, especially with the good price.

I love the size of this fridge, holds leftovers, juice, just what I needed in my dorm. Fits perfectly on top of a microwave and still leaves room for a 2L kettle!

I just pulled it out of the box and started using it (mine did not come with the manual, even though the box says it is supposed to), so we'll see how long it lasts, but it seems to be pretty chilly inside already!

My only complaint is that this thing is NOISY! All the while it is on, it makes a constant humming sound, a little like being in an airplane!

I bought one of these units hoping that it will give me a constant temperature throughout the year to age my wine, but it is way too cold for it. Even at the "warmest" setting, the fridge was running at 9 degrees C (48 F). I called Danby and they sent a serviceman to check out the fridge. He recorded the back of the fridge to be 2 degrees C (36 F), and he kept saying this is not a wine cooler but more like a beer cooler!

We enjoyed our fridge so much, we bought a second one! They are both full of wine bottles of all sizes and everything has been great. No problems at all!

I knew this particular one would look somewhat cheap (plastic finish rather than stainless steel, thin interior walls, limited features), but for the price I figured I could live with that. However, what was unacceptable about this one was temperature and noise. I was hoping that I wouldn't get the unit with these issues that were mentioned by others, but I did unfortunately.

First of all, the temperature. Top shelves had ice on them! I guess if I wanted my wine that cold, I just could have thrown it in my freezer.

Second, the noise. The compressor itself is pretty quiet. However, my unit made roaring and whooshing noises like an old refrigerator. Annoying at the very least, but also led me to think something more serious could be wrong. Worst of all though was the popping noise that literally sounded like the glass was cracking. I'm guessing this was due to expansion and contraction of the glass with fluctuations in temperature, but would they not have an expansion joint or something on the edges of the glass to prevent this noise?

All in all, I got a lemon, and I returned it today (after 2 days of usage). I'm not taking my chances on another unit of the same model since it's a pain to unpack and pack. I say steer clear of this model.

12 Bottle Thermoelectric Wine Cooler

After a lot of research I decided on the New Air AW-121E 12 bottle wine cooler. There are a lot of coolers out on the market and most of them have reputations for poor performance. New Air seemed to have the highest ratings so I went with it. The third party seller Air & Water Inc is great. Free ground shipping was a nice touch, shipped very fast. Now for the cooler:

Installation was pretty simple, plug it in and screw on the door handle. The screws on the handle are fine, but the holes are not perfectly designed for them to be screwed in by hand (unless you're really strong) but they went in smoothly with an electric drill. I turned on the cooler and set it to my desired temperature 60 degrees F to keep red wine. Some bottles actually suggest what temperature to store the particular wine at. If you're not sure, just ask at you're local wine shop and they'll be happy to tell you.

It took about two hours for the cooler to get to the temperature I set and I confirmed it with a thermometer (impressive since it started at 85 degrees). The machine itself makes no real noise. If you listen really hard and there are no other sounds in the room you might hear a slight hiss of the fan, but you really have to try to hear it. This thing is quieter then my 20x more expensive regular fridge/freezer. I have yet to find a 750ml bottle of red that does not fit. Some of the fatter bottles stick in the shelf a bit and fit better on the bottom. Since I bought it for red wine its not really a concern, but it probably would not fit champagne both in girth and length of bottle. I haven't tried it, so I can't be sure. You might be able to fit one at the bottom at an angle. The stainless steel looks very nice and the blue LED is a cool feature. Overall if you are looking to store 12 regular sized bottles of red or white, you can't get a better product for the money. Not sure on the longevity, but New-Air seems to have a reputation for lasting a good long while.

I have had this cooler for about 4 months now and I absolutely love it. So much so that I bought a second one to store my growing collection of white wines. They look very nice next to each other. It took a little longer to get down to the temperature I wanted (51 degrees), about 8 hours which was still impressive as the room was around 80 degrees. Two of these is cheaper then one of those dual zone fridges, and they also work a lot better. They make a little noise (a faint fan sound) the first day when they're cooling down, after that they are still just as silent as before. Also, regular sized 750ml champagne bottles do fit, an added bonus.

I've had this cooler running in a room with an ambient temperature of 68 72F for 24 hours now, and I'm just about to switch it off and return it because of its noise level.

Initially I set it to its lowest temperature setting of 50F, which it reached in about 8 hours with 10 room-temperature bottles in it. Its fan was running continuously for that period, but that wasn't unexpected. I left the cooler at that setting overnight to let it stabilize. In the morning the fan was still running continuously. No problem, as I intended to run the cooler at 54F anyway. When I reset the temperature to 54F the fan switched off for several minutes, but after that it kicked in and out every minute or so. Out of curiosity I reset the temperature to 60F and got the same result the fan switched off for several minutes and the temperature drifted up (quite quickly), but once it reached 60F it cycled on and off repeatedly. It's currently running for about a minute, switching off for about 30 seconds, then switching on again for a minute, in a 72F room with the cooler set to 60F.

Now, if the fan was silent or nearly so then that wouldn't be a problem, but sadly that it isn't the case. Maybe this cooler is faulty, but the fan makes a fairly loud and penetrating buzzing sound when it's running, with the speed spooling up and down as it switches on and off. The noise level is comparable to that from noisy fans on a PC, but because it's a buzz that rises and falls and switches on and off repeatedly it's hard to ignore or get used to, and it's audible from adjacent rooms.

Two other reviewers said that the noise level on their coolers was minimal while another said that the fan was quite noisy, so this might be something that varies from one cooler to the next. I don't think anyone would describe the buzz I'm getting from this one as minimal though.

Anyway, back it goes.

UPDATE

Within an hour or so of contacting Amazon to return this item I received a call from the vendor (Air & Water) to ask if I wanted a refund or a replacement. I talked it over with them for several minutes before deciding on a refund, and shortly after that I received an e-mail with a link to print out a FedEx return label at their cost. So, although the cooler didn't meet my needs I'm very happy with the service from Air & Water.

I like this fridge, but I am having a hard time forgiving the engineers for the DUMB, DUMB "temp" button on the LED display which shoudl read OFF not temp and not even be there. THIS is an ALL OFF button above the water fill button. We lost ALL of our food the day after thanksgiving because an unwitting guest turned off the fridge (who knows?) . It is easy to hit while holding the door open for 3 seconds. The only indication after a discreet chime is 9 point font says "cooling off" but the LED display Is still on, leading you to believe the frige is actually on. Sometimes less is more, that's why they have plugs, there should be at least three screens and you turning off the fridge and the freezer.

We have had several beverage centers at various houses but they did not keep pop and beer as cold as we prefer. According to the specifications, this filter has one of the highest chlorine capacity, meaning that you don't need to change filter that often. It also have VOC filter capacity. I use it after the sediment filter the finest filters goes last.

I'm a little puzzled. This cartridge works so much better in my GE filter than the GE ones I wonder why this is not claimed in the product description. My filter is hooked to a pantry faucet, not one of those piddly little filtered water taps. But flow is as if there is no restriction from the filter. With a GE cartridge it just dribbles out at perhaps 0.25 gallons per minute. The water taste is excellent,and our raw water has a strong chlorine and organic debris taste and odor, I even have filters on the showers. I could find no specs on the filter. I wonder why.

I replaced the LG filter that came with the fridge with this product. We ran the proper number of gallons through to flush the new filter , however the water still tastes like chemicals. My tap water unfiltered tastes better.

I did the standard 2.5 gallon flush before using the water for drinking. I cleared the first set of ice with the new filter in.

The water is great, no taste, much faster flow then the original filter

I've used this fridge for nearly a month and it works great. Beverages are ice cold and there's no frost; exactly what I wanted. I have to give Sanyo a "ding" for the poor packaging they placed styrofoam only on the four corners (top and bottom) rather than all the way down the length of all edges, and nothing on the flat sides. Result? Right out of the box the coil on the back had been knocked off it's bracket during shipping and there were dents all the way up and down all four sides on the edges. I remounted the coil, fixed the bracket and tested it. It worked fine so I decided I could live with the dents rather than deal with the hassle because I needed a fridge "now" and it went under a desk rather than in the open anyway.

January 4, 2013 This fridge has been moved three times in the last five years and still keeps my beverages nice and cold!

I ordered this fridge from amazon. It arrived in a perfectly undamaged box. However when I opened it it looked like it was a refurbished unit. There were scratches on one side of it and a sizable dent in the other. The rather large radiator assembly on the back also was falling off because the screws holding it on were stripped.

Amazon is taking care of the problem and shipping me a new unit at no charge, and having UPS pick up the old one. I am a little disappointed by Sanyo that it passed any quality control check though.

Besides that it is a great little fridge. I turned it on anyway for a couple of hours and it is very quiet, just a almost silent hum and that's all. I would have given it a 5 star review if I had not received a beat up unit.

I just installed this refrigerator in my office, and it is very quiet... in fact can't even hear it. My office neighbor's AC is way louder. I paid the extra for an "all refrigerator" so that I don't need to be concerned about defrosting every 3 months. It fits perfectly where I pictured it in the corner of my small office space, and I hope lives up to what the reviews say about keeping things refrigerator cold as opposed to cooler only cold. The black color also blends in well with my office furniture/decor. I ordered it on Sunday night, received it on Wednesday afternoon, and I live on a neighbor island in the state of Hawaii. I purchased this item as a replacement for another part number that had been discontinued. However, I believe this item is actually superior. The original part I had was a very fragile two-piece part and the bottom portion was made of clear plastic that was very brittle and easily broken. This replacement part is all one piece made of white plastic. I believe this item will hold up much better than the original part.

Maytag MSD2559XEW 35 1/2 25.8 cu. ft. Side by Side Refrigerator - White

After three years of service, the fridge quit cooling properly. My new house came with all new Maytag appliances, which I thought was good because they would last. First the Microwave blew it's controller board six months ago, now the fridge quit working and one of the burners on the Maytag glass top stove won't heat.

I would encourage folks to buy anything OTHER than Maytag. These new products are expensive pieces of garbage.

The Maytag repair man apparently got schizophrenia and was promoted to director of quality and design!
