I ordered a part for a replacement door rack. The part did not match the part number specified on the refrigerator manual which I don't fault the distributor for. However, after returning a $26 part in new condition with original packaging I received a ~ $10 credit. Excessive I would say.

I bought one of these units hoping that it will give me a constant temperature throughout the year to age my wine, but it is way too cold for it. Even at the "warmest" setting, the fridge was running at 9 degrees C (48 F). I called Danby and they sent a serviceman to check out the fridge. He recorded the back of the fridge to be 2 degrees C (36 F), and he kept saying this is not a wine cooler but more like a beer cooler!

We enjoyed our fridge so much, we bought a second one! They are both full of wine bottles of all sizes and everything has been great. No problems at all!

I knew this particular one would look somewhat cheap (plastic finish rather than stainless steel, thin interior walls, limited features), but for the price I figured I could live with that. However, what was unacceptable about this one was temperature and noise. I was hoping that I wouldn't get the unit with these issues that were mentioned by others, but I did unfortunately.

First of all, the temperature. Top shelves had ice on them! I guess if I wanted my wine that cold, I just could have thrown it in my freezer.

Second, the noise. The compressor itself is pretty quiet. However, my unit made roaring and whooshing noises like an old refrigerator. Annoying at the very least, but also led me to think something more serious could be wrong. Worst of all though was the popping noise that literally sounded like the glass was cracking. I'm guessing this was due to expansion and contraction of the glass with fluctuations in temperature, but would they not have an expansion joint or something on the edges of the glass to prevent this noise?

All in all, I got a lemon, and I returned it today (after 2 days of usage). I'm not taking my chances on another unit of the same model since it's a pain to unpack and pack. I say steer clear of this model.

I bought the 4 pack of water filters for our fridge. Installed fine, works great. I love that I paid less for 4 of the off-brand than 1-2 of the name brand. I recommend it!

This product is very poor. I guess, there is a reason why these filters are so cheap. The quality of water is not impressive at all after this filter. I thought it was just me, but all my friends have confirmed that my water now has a plastic taste to it after this filter has been installed.

I've contacted the seller and they were very friendly and stuff, no complaints in this area. They suggested installing another filter from the same pack (it comes in a bulk pack) before returning the product back. So I did. That did not change a bit. The water still has that plastic taste.

I would not recommend this product. Seriously, spend a couple of extra bucks and buy a real filter. Too bad I didn't read reviews prior to buying this product.

We purchased a new-to-us house 23 months ago now and had this set installed the week before we moved in. We had to purchase as set -the former owners took everything with them (fridge, dishwasher, stove... everything) -so we did a lot of research before making the purchase and purchased this set.

The gas range is outstanding. The stove that the former owners had installed (before they took it) was electric, but we really like gas. Luckily we have gas running to the house so the contractor just tapped into that line and ran the gas to this unit. The stovetop portion of this unit is excellent the burners run evenly and they are easy to adjust. The flame level is easy to see so you can adjust to your need. The center of the stovetop has a flatbed with a burner under it, and that has come in very handy for everything from pancakes and bacon to blackened tuna and rib-eye steaks.

The oven portion of the range preheats quickly and the temperature gauge is quite reliable (we metered it with an oven thermometer and found it to be within 5 degrees. The under oven storage drawer has enough room to store five or six baking sheets, though not pans of any size. That's OK.

The over-oven matching microwave and exhaust fan works perfectly, and has fan ports to connect to either an external vent or through its internal filter and fan. Right now we have it running through the internal fan and that worked very well. The fan has an auto-on feature triggered by the heat of the stove, and (while it surprised us the first time it came on by itself) that is very neat feature! The microwave unit works perfectly -everything from the auto-defrost mechanism to the auto-reheat and auto-popcorn settings work fantastically. It is a very good unit.

The refrigerator is the thing that really made this set the right choice for us. It was hard to find the less-deep cabinet depth units in the brushed stainless look, and we really needed that. The kitchen has a 'fridge insert cutout in the counter/cabinet calling for a unit of 36 inches wide and no more than 29 deep (else it would stick out into the walkway). This fridge is the perfect size for our needs, and the interior is also well organized. Love it that the racks are easy to move up and down. Also have changed the water filter three times so far (we do it at least every six months) and the swap out was simple to do. Lastly, the exterior water / cubed ice / crushed ice port is easy to use and large enough to get mid-sized bowls right in to the water dispenser.

The dishwasher has been 100% trouble-free. It is very quiet during operation, and does a very good job of cleaning. We really like the setting options as there are times that we need to use the Heavy Wash selection (especially after parties) and during the recent bout of flu in the area, we have been using the Sanitize selection with every load.

If you are looking for a set with this look, features and sizes, we fully recommend this group based on our almost 2 years of use.

Whirlpool 4389102 Ice Level Control Board Kit for Refrigerator

BEWARE! This control board is neither made by Whirlpool, nor is it a factory specification part authorized by the manufacturer to repair their appliances.

As of the date of this review, take a good look at that picture of the part by enlarging it. You can clearly see the letters FSP inside the parallelogram outline. This indicates it is a Factory Specification Part, and it is printed on both circuit boards. This influenced my decision to purchase it, as it would mean it isn't a generic or rebuilt junk part, which in my opinion are inferior. I wanted Whirlpool, as the one that failed is original and lasted 9 years.

The product description is equally deceptive, as it uses the Whirlpool part number followed by "Genuine Replacement Part". It is genuine in the fact that it does exist. It ISN'T genuine Whirlpool or genuine FSP, which the use of "genuine" alludes to without actually stating it.

Upon getting my package, I noticed that the parts box didn't have any Whirlpool writing or markings on it. That didn't bode well, but I opened the box. Inside were a set of directions printed on a piece of paper, which also had no manufacturer markings. The two circuit boards were in separate anti static bags, luckily see through. Both parts were of course lacking my above criteria. I didn't have to open the bags, so I immediately filed to return these items. I am not pleased that I have to eat the shipping back to partshouse because the picture is not of the actual item you receive and the description is deceptive in conjunction with the picture. DON'T buy if you are picky about your replacement parts. But if you like to roll the dice with a part that may not last as long as a factory part, by all means buy this.

Edit on 4/26/13**If you purchase this from seller "partshouse" like I did, not only do you have to pay to ship it back, the guy has the gall to charge you a 20% restocking fee, even though it was his misleading description and picture that convinced me to buy it. I'd liken that to bait and switch. Amazon made it right, but they should think about suspending this company's privileges to sell on Amazon. BTW, the picture and description haven't been updated to reflect this is a knockoff part yet.

I ended up getting the correct part off of the famous auction site for roughly another $30 from another seller, who actually sold OEM parts and it was so worth it.

Both boards were very easily installed with the attached directions and it even had a troubleshooting list which let me know if the problem was even going to fix it with what I ordered. Fast shipping.

I don't know if the quality of the components are the same or not, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were. Someone competent in electronics could evaluate it and post back. I did some testing from online information and found that my optics boards were faulty and causing my ice maker to not work. Not wanting to take the chance and buy an expensive part that might not actually be broken, I opted for this kit at 1/3 the price of the OEM unit. Sure enough my optics were bad and these fixed my ice maker function. Thanks for providing options. I'll post back if they were to fail prematurely, but I don't think they will.

I have to put my 2 cents in. I sincerely wish I'd done more research before I bought this unit. Instead, I went to a local appliance store where I've done business for years. I bought a new fridge and freezer at the same time, and chose Frigidaire for both because of their so-called good reputation.

There was nothing wrong with our old freezer (25 years) other than it wasn't frost free, and my wife was tired of defrosting it, hence the new frost free unit.

The unit worked great. Couldn't be happier. Until.. after 5 months, my son was awakened to the alarm. It had quit working. Wasn't happy, but these things Do happen. Called the number on the freezer, and was told they'd send someone out. However, being as we live out in the country, they only send someone out once a week. Wasn't real happy about that but what can you do?

So the driver finally gets there days later, and diagnoses it needing the electronic control module. Which of course... he doesn't have on board; he'll have to order it. Not happy, but again, what can you do? So he orders it, has it shipped to our house. However, it will be another week before he can come back. Finally, the part comes and the tech is called, and we're back in business. An ordeal for sure, but at least that's over, right?

WRONG! Four months later, the unit dies again! And it's the same song and dance all over again. This time I question the tech about being a recurring problem with these models. He says they "Usually don't have a problem". Here's where the "fun" begins. He "tests?" the outlet it's plugged into. and claims it's faulty. Says the "Voltage in bleeding from the hot lead to the grounding wire". Interesting. Other than that being impossible (It would trip a breaker) I installed that outlet myself. It is a stand alone circuit to the box, and I am an electrician by trade. Nonetheless, I check over the circuit again, and no problem

Anyway, it was running again, but only two months left on the 12 month warranty. I called Frigidaire only to find out that they are now owned by Electrolux. Told them I've had 2 food losses and we both know this thing is going to die again. What are they willing to do about it? Nothing. Their response is basically, "It's warrantied for 12 months, and we've fixed it, so we've done all that's necessary."

The seller refuses to do anything about it either. Up till this point, I've been polite, but persistent, but the message is clear. We got your money; you're on your own.

A week before the warranty ran out, I called them again and said there was a problem again. Again, they called the tech, the tech called me, and said he'd have to make a service call again. I told him, "Look, we both know the problem is the control board. Can't you just order it now, and come when it arrives?" He reluctantly agrees and a few days later, I have another board. Mind you, the freezer hadn't actually quit... yet. But at least I now have a control board on hand.

Four months later, it dies yet again. This time I have a spare board on hand, so I don't have yet another food loss. (It only takes about 10 minutes to put the board in) I don't bother to call the tech out. If I had, I'd have suffered a food loss. As a precaution, I order ANOTHER control board to keep on hand ($55, plus shipping)

Last week, I had to put THAT one in.

So in closing, I've now had FIVE control boards in less than three years. I emailed Electrolux again, and asked if there was anything they would do about it. I received the form letter that basically said.. "If anything fails, it usually does it within the warranty period. after that we can't/ won't be responsible."

I'm looking for a RELIABLE freezer to replace this 3 yr old unit. Before I have to buy the SIXTH board for this freezer.

Potential buyers? Look elsewhere.

Not much to say, when i bought this I was concerned it would be poor quality and a problem. Not so far, its big, efficient and works great all at a low price. I have only had it a few months but so far so good, the big question is how long will it last!

I was holding off on writing this review in the hopes that my Electrolux Online Outreach Representative with Major Appliances, North America would take ownership of my problem and assist me with my issue.

It is now March 26, 2013, almost three months since my freezer slowly began cooling ability and I still do not have a working unit. Purchased November 27, 2012, delivered December 3, 2012. Started losing cooling ~first week of January (after the retailer's 30 day return period). No problem I thought as I've been able to successfully navigate warranty issues with other products and appliances on the rare occasion that problems have arisen. I attempted to initiate a warranty service call request. The 800 number listed does not offer any way to speak to a live representative and has numbers for outdated/out of business service providers in my area.

Since January of 2013, my Upright Frigidaire Freezer Model #FFU21F5HW & Serial ######### has not been cooling and I have been attempting to get warranty service. Each time the service rep comes out, I am being told that a new problem is happening. All my items in my freezer have now gone bad and I still to date have no idea when and if my freezer will be repaired OR replaced.

After multiple attempts at getting an initial service call with an authorized Frigidaire repair technician, on February 4, 2013 I was told while the tech was at my home that the Board and Thermistor were bad and would be rush ordered. One entire month passed before they returned and that was only after multiple phone calls to the local warranty repair company. At that visit, I was told that the Board and Thermistor were no longer/not/never were bad and that the coolant system was bad at which point they would need to order an exterior mounted cooling system that would have to be WELDED on to the backside of my freezer. That was on March 5, 2013.

Each time I call to inquire about the status of my repair, I am told that while a rush order has been placed for my parts, Frigidaire parts delivery and fulfillment are on a constant state of backorder and they have no control or clue when my specific parts may arrive. I did not purchase a freezer with the intention of having extra parts WELDED to my freezer in order to get it to work but was told that I have to go through multiple repair visits on this freezer before a swap out can be performed.

I have been without a working freezer for close to three months.

Problems happen. It is how a company responds to these problems that really sets apart the quality companies from those that should be avoided. Unfortunately given my circumstances and inability to get my current freezer repaired or replaced, Frigidaire / Electrolux does not appear to fall into the category of a company that takes ownership of problems in a speedy and efficient manner.

Very disappointed.

Our Frigidaire died today ..after only a few short years. Lost tons of food including some great salmon and halibut a friend who had gone deep sea fishing had recently given us. Won't be buying another Frigidaire.

4.5 x 10 Whole House Water Filter - Transparent PWFHT4510BT by Kem Flow

Wish i could give 4.5 starts, the unit is well made, seems like heavy plastic, the bracket is solid. The clear housing makes filter and sediment inspection a breeze.

Shipping was fast, and unit arrived with no issues. All the parts were in the box and the price was better than i could get at other places.

Other units I have seen have a by-pass valve, my neighbor has one and the down side if it flushes sediment into the house pipes. The upside is it makes it easy to relieve the pressure on the unit for filter removal. I have not had to replace the filter as if yet, so cant comment on how easy it will to relieve the pressure (which the only way you can remove the casing to get to the filter).

The one negative I have on the unit unit is the NTP threading. For my installation I needed these to be 90 degrees, and did not want to have to buy a nipple+elbow, so i bought the NTP-90. Well, getting a tight AND keeping the right exit angle is difficult. Seems to me the unit threads are a tad large making it difficult to seat the pipe fittings COMPLETELY and avoiding a leak; even with 3 layers of pipe tape...

Other than that its a GREAT buy.

12 Bottle Wine Cooler

This item is listed all over the internet as a dual zone wine cooler but it is not. We have one (which we ordered from another site unbeatablesale.com and which arrived previously opened and damaged, but that's another story). But, not only did we receive a product with a cracked door, it isn't even dual zone which is the entire reason we purchased it. Nowhere in the instruction manual is it described as dual zone and there is only one temperature control. Don't waste your money on this product. Attempts to contact the manufacturer have been ignored. I totally regret my purchase.

Whirlpool W10159839 Inlet Valve for Refrigerator

My refrigerator water dispenser stopped working and I knew the most likely culprit was going to be the inlet valve. I ordered this valve and while waiting for it to ship I watched a video on youtube showing step by step how to replace these devices. Once I received the inlet valve I had it installed in let than 15 minutes. The inlet valve works flawlessly and I now have water again! I would recommend using this vendor as they were quick in shipping my order and the valve was packaged well so I had no issues with freight damage. I recommend anyone who needs to replace this search youtube for video instructions showing how to replace the valve. It's simple once you understand the trick for disconnecting the water lines.
