Got the part earlier than expected. Installed it and fixed my Mom's fridge. Works fantastic now. Looked different, but plugged right in. Had to modify the retaining clip slightly but, still worked out fine.

I woke up one morning to a puddle in front of my fridge. "Did the kids drop some ice again?" I thought to myself. I opened up the freezer door and noticed the ice cubes were all gone. What the?!?!?! The fridge had power so it wasn't that. I opened up the refrigerator door and things appeared to be cold. Then I took a closer look in the freezer and everything was melted. NOOOOOOOO!!!!! The last thing I needed was to spend a grand on a new fridge. I'm not going down without a fight! So I got my socket set and ohm meter and opened the baby up. There were plenty of youtube videos that explained what to do and what to test for, and sure enough, it looked like the compressor relay switch was bad. I run down to my local appliance repair shop to get a new relay, but they didn't have any in stock and would take a day to get here! Unacceptable!!! So I immediately fired up my Amazon app on my phone, found the part, click 1-day overnight shipping for $3.99, (for Amazon Prime members) and still saved $20 from what the repair shop would have charged me.

The next day I get the part, install it, and my fridge is happy again. And therefore I am happy again. Once again Amazon saves the day.

When stove was set at 350 degrees, handle very hot to the touch, due to vents placed even with handle, oven door very hot to the touch, strip of metal where knobs are placed, can cause 3rd degree burns, area on top where burners are placed, can cause 3rd degree burns. Oven has no firewall built into it, shellac from kitchen cabinets were burned off due to intense heat from stove, wood very hot to the touch. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. I strongly urge Whirlpool to recall product before child is badly burned or a house is burned down!

I have been KX filters for years. When I changed filters the old ones are still solid in one piece. That's why I use them. This is the work horse carbon filter for reverse osmosis. The main object is to filter out chlorine that degrades the membrane.

According to the specifications, this filter has one of the highest chlorine capacity, meaning that you don't need to change filter that often. It also have VOC filter capacity. I use it after the sediment filter the finest filters goes last.

Now the filters come with individual labels and packing, with the KX mark moulded into the filter.

The spec are tested by the manufacturer. Though I trust my TDS meter. If the readings are consistently good, that means everything is working fine.

I'm a little puzzled. This cartridge works so much better in my GE filter than the GE ones I wonder why this is not claimed in the product description. My filter is hooked to a pantry faucet, not one of those piddly little filtered water taps. But flow is as if there is no restriction from the filter. With a GE cartridge it just dribbles out at perhaps 0.25 gallons per minute. The water taste is excellent,and our raw water has a strong chlorine and organic debris taste and odor, I even have filters on the showers. I could find no specs on the filter. I wonder why.

Swift Green Filters SGF-G9 Refrigerator Water Filter

I was not sure how this filter would work for me since i had a GE one that came with the fridge. I followed the instructions on the soaking and letting the water run through it and it works just like the GE one. I have not experienced any after taste. The only hurdle i had, was that i needed to apply additional force to insert it into the fridgei knew that but did not think too much of it untill i had to do it. I will be buying the combo packs next time since it is economical. I also like that it comes from Canada, for once there is something that does not come from China.

I had my water tested and the filter did not remove any chlorine, ammonia,or particles from the water. You are basically drinking tap water. Highly disappointed.

This came with fairly easy-to-follow instructions. Only trouble I had installing was not realizing there was an edge on top that you have to line up with the fridge hole, or you risk damaging the filter. You can feel where to line it up with a finger, because you can't see it. Just push up and twist on that's it! It fits just fine and there's no leaking. The water comes out faster. The water tastes and looks fine. I like that it's more environmentally friendly than the GE filters. Only four stars because it has not been tested or certified by WQA for performance specifications it has been tested by an independent laboratory, and is certified by WGA according to NSF/ANSI standards for material requirements only.
