Cuisinart Power Advantage Plus 9-Speed Hand Mixer with Storage Case

Cuisinart HM-90S Power Advantage Plus 9-Speed Handheld Mixer with Storage Case, WhiteThis hand mixer is an upgraded version of the Cuisinart HM-70 Power Advantage 7-Speed Hand Mixer, Stainless and White which is recommended by Cook's Illustrated. That version, however, does not have dough hooks, which I specifically wanted in a mixer, since there are increasingly more and more recipes out there that assume the baker has a stand mixer these day and it's not easy to configure all of them to hand kneading. I currently don't have the budget for a stand mixer so I thought this would be a good compromise.

PROs:

Quiet. On lower speeds (1 to 5), it makes merely a vibrating noise. Even when I work with particularly stiff doughs, it still doesn't make a whole lot of sound. This is a giant relief for someone who is upgrading from a Black and Decker model which shrieks horribly on the lowest speed.

Powerful. I've made bread doughs with this machine, some of them quite dense. It always plows through them.

Wide range of speed. The number 1 speed is significantly lower than number 5 which is significantly lower than number 9. This is good for when you just want to combine ingredients without overmixing or having flour splattering every where. Also, stand mixer recipes that call for, say, "put the mixer on medium-low speed" can be easily adapted to this mixer as opposed to my old one, where all the five speeds are kind of the same.

Storage case. I appreciate the extra feature that helps me organize all the components.

CONs:

Dough hooks not very effective. Like I said, I bought this mixer specifically for the dough hooks, and they turned out disappointing. To make them work ideally, you would have to have two sets of hands, one to hold the bowl in place, and one to guide the mixer, imitating the actions of a stand mixer. I've managed to knead a number of dough with the hooks, but it does take understanding and knowledge of how the ingredients are combined to make it work. In lieu of fifteen minutes of hand kneading, you would have to run this hand mixer through the dough for fifteen minutes, so no improvement here. It might be helpful for a new baker intimidated by hand kneading, but it is no less difficult or laborious.

Cord is a little difficult to fold into the storage case. This is a very minor agitation.

Overall, this hand mixer is okay. The Cuisinart HM-70, $20.00 cheaper, may have been a better purchase. If you are looking to buy this mixer for the dough hook feature, I would advise against it.

This is my 3rd Cuisinart hand mixer in the past 5 years and you're probably wondering why I went back to this model after the problems with the first two. First, I liked the form and fit. Second, I had extra blades that would fit (after the first one broke). Third, I assumed the problem was a glitch (each time). On the first and last mixers, the motor just quit without any reason or problem that I can determine it didn't happen because of "bogging-down" in heavy batter. On my second one, the soft tab speed button tore and water leaked in it quit working. Also, I don't think the wire blades "do" mashed potatoes as well as flat blades that actually cut through and break potatoes up into a smoother, less lumpy mix. Another problem that no one else has mentioned is that even though it has a slow start setting, it takes a couple of seconds to kick in! So, initially it starts at a medium speed and flour is all over the counter before it slows down and behaves as advertised. I've finally learned to hold it out of the bowl until it gears down.

Buy Cuisinart Power Advantage Plus 9-Speed Hand Mixer with Storage Case Now

We have owned and used this Cuisinart mixer often during the last 4 months, but have become so aggravated with it that we will not use it again. The problem is that rather than having a "slow start" feature, it instead has just the opposite -an annoying "fast start". The "slow start", which Cuisinart's older models (no longer sold) actually implemented very well, is supposed to let you begin mixing without your ingredients being thrown out of the bowl. However, this model (HM-90S) does exactly the opposite -when you turn it on it instantly surges to a fast speed, and then slows down to speed #1 as you marvel at the mess that it has made of your kitchen.

Others have pointed out that you can avoid this problem if you turn it on before you put the beaters in the bowl. However, our frequent use has revealed the true source of the problem: It appears that Cuisinart has implemented a "cruise control" feature, attempting to keep the beaters spinning at the currently selected speed regardless of the load on the mixer. The consistent behavior of this mixer is that if the actual speed of the beaters is ever below the currently selected speed, the mixer automatically tries to compensate by strongly surging the beaters to try and catch up. This is why it surges when initially turned on. As well, the mixer will similarly surge (and surge again) throughout the mixing process if you attempt to mix anything that is unevenly thick (like mixing something thinner into something thicker) -the mixer will instantly surge and throw your ingredients out of the bowl. While the mixer certainly has a strong motor, and the attachments and storage case are nice, its behavior is so aggravating that it is useless.

To see the supposed "slow start" feature for yourself (and to prove that our unit is not defective), watch the video on the product page here on Amazon for this mixer. The woman from Cuisinart demonstrating the mixer has the nerve to brag that it has a "smooth start" feature, as she turns the mixer on at it instantly surges to the fast speed and then slows down to speed #1.

These are the best beaters I ever owned. I like the "no splash" start on the number 1 setting and the digital display to advance in increments all the way up to a powerful number 9 setting. Pretty light weight to handle yet very powerful. Does a wonderful job and the self contained see-through storage case is extremely attractive and convenient for storing everything neatly in one place. I highly recommend purchaing this product.

Want Cuisinart Power Advantage Plus 9-Speed Hand Mixer with Storage Case Discount?

I got my hand mixer almost a year ago as a Christmas gift. I use it at least weekly and it is still going strong. Here is what I like

*9 speeds makes any job possible

*Beaters thin but strong and not placed too close together so that thicker batters can move their way through and things like bread dough are less likely to climb up.

*Motor is strong. It doesn't whine and powers right through tough things like cream cheese (even when you don't let it soften as long as your suppose to.)

*Nice storage area. This doesn't make or break the deal for me. It's been nice not to rummage through the drawers looking for both beaters though.

*The latch release So glad I have to deliberately lift the leaver to release beaters. I don't accidently remove them by pressing the button like on other beaters I've had.

* Cord It is a decent length and it swivels around. I have lots of little helpers in the Kitchen and the cord is long enough and rotates around so I can maneuver the mixer with all the extra hands helping me mix. I'm not saying the cord is long but not too short.

*The appliance is solid feeling. Nothing flimsy about it. That means that it isn't exactly light weight but it isn't cheaply made.

Wisk I've used it to make whip cream and a meringue. It did a wonderful job.

Here are a couple observations/complaints I have.

* The kneader hooks They don't work at all for me at all. When making bread I use the beaters until I have a nice soft dough then knead in my last cup or two of flour by hand.

* Slow start not so much. It starts up at like a 3 speed then quickly goes back to a 1 speed. I still have to make sure my beaters are firmly planted in whatever I don't want to have fly around.

Why did this mixer still get a 5 star when I have complaints? I cook for 5 boys everyday, I make dinners for teachers at the school, I make treats for friends and neighbors...and this appliance has absolutely made doing that much easier. It is simply the best mixer I have ever used!

I've read a couple more reviews and just want to add a couple comments. I am almost always cooking with kids and don't feel it is dangerous at all. When using any mixer you have to watch those little fingers. Also about the beaters falling out...there is one hole that is fitted different. That is so the wisk fits in properly. You will notice on your beaters that their tops look slightly different. This determines which hole they go in. If you put the beaters in and they fall back out...you did it wrong. Switch it around. I've done that and the beaters have fallen in the batter, bummer, but it just made me be more careful inserting them the next time. It wasn't a big deal at all. Also, I have never noticed the beaters not mixing at a consistant speed and I have had many awesome smooth batters (which made very delicious treats too!). Regarding one more review, I don't have any problem fitting everything in the plastic container. I do have to organize it somewhat not just cram it in but it all fits. That's it, the end, I'd still buy this mixer...infact right now I'm looking at it for my sister because I love mine so much!

SPT 3.1 Cubic Feet Undercounter Beer Froster

SPT 3.1 Cubic Feet Undercounter Beer FrosterThis chiller (froster) is great! It chills very quickly, holds the temperature steady and is very quiet. Sleek design and holds lots of beer. I'm chilling bottles, so I have the remperature set at about 26 degrees. We've now ordered a beverage frig from the same manufacturer to chill pop bottles and cans. I would highly recommend this product.

After years and years of placing a beer into the freezer and then replacing beer after beer. I can finally say I have a purpose built beer refrigerator where I can now just enjoy the sweet taste of a perfectly frosted beer.

Note: It took over a month before it actually achieved the sub 32 degree temperature.

The product looks great, but two problems make it DOA:

The control pad does not work at all. I've followed the instructions to unlock the pad to no avail. It's not responsive to my touch.

The compressor (part # AS30U6) works but sounds extremely loud. Louder, actually, than a washing machine on the spin cycle. There must be something broken in the compressor, it sounds like a rapid hammer (and even shakes the floor). I'm not joking around here This fridge is probably 10 times louder than any fridge other fridge I've heard (even commercial fridges). We got this fridge for this office, but honestly it's too loud for any room in my house. I'm pretty sure the compressor is broken and will completely fail soon. I've ordered a replacement compressor ($200) and plan on installing it myself because it costs almost as much in shipping to return the product.

Ugh...

I have only had it 5 days. It works great and keeps beer very cold, but every now and then the compressor starts making some kind of knocking noise. Smacking it a few times with my hands fixes it. I will be calling the manufacturer about this.

I purchased this model because my kitchen designer limited my options for a built-in by assuming I was going with a high-end Viking or Sub-Zero. Not wanted to spend $10K or more, I opted for this GE Profile, which got better reviews that the GE Monogram. I have been very displeased with this purchase. The doors are VERY difficult to open on both the refrigerator and the freezer. GE told me that once the doors had food in them, they would be fine....? They're not fine. Then, after six months of use, both the refrigerator and freezer just stopped working. Finally, for a 42", it's got a very small interior. I understand that counter depth refrigerators have less room, but this is small. I suggest that anyone considering this refrigerator really consider the cost, reliability and size before purchasing this model. It's just not worth the money.

Do yourself a great favor and read the innumerable complaints in the internet about GE refrigerators and other GE appliances before considering buying anything made by GE. I wish I had done it before buying an expensive GE refrigerator.

You will be horrified by the massive number of complaints about malfunctioning GE refrigerators and other GE appliances reported and stunned at the lack of responsibility, concern and contempt displayed by GE.

Two weeks ago the expensive GE refrigerator we purchased a few years ago quit cooling. So far we have had three GE technicians come for service and every time we call GE service, we have to wait another week for a technician to come. The first two technicians stated that there was nothing wrong with the compressor and replaced the same 'problem' board. Additionally, both technicians claimed that the refrigerator was fixed at the end of their service visit. The refrigerator is still not cooling.

Today a third GE technician came (it is always a different person) and this time the compressor was blamed for the problem. Obviously there is a lot of guess work going on here.

This last technician credited the $340 we paid originally, but now the bill has increased to $518 to replace the compressor. Supposedly they have to order the parts and we will be without a refrigerator for another 2 weeks.

Judging by the terrible reports from the countless dissatisfied and frustrated GE consumers, I am bracing myself for a long struggle with this abusive giant.

Ironically, my inexpensive 25 year old Kenmore refrigerator in the garage has never been serviced and is still working like a charm. If getting what you pay for is important to you, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING MADE BY GE!!!

We purchased a Monogram 42 inch side by side stainless steel and I love it. I haven't had a problem with it at all. It was custom ordered and we paid big bucks for it. 27 x 42 x 84 inches. With 7 kids always opening and closing it all the time, it always stays cold and still has all I need and then some. I have had other GE fridges, stoves, ovens and Microwaves and haven't had one bit of problems with any of them. We are for sure a GE family and we love them. Sorry you had trouble with yours but don't sour yourself on them all. They make good products.

I second these reviews. The storage on the refrigerator side is very, very small. Also the shelves are hardly adjustable. The milk bin has to be placed in the middle limiting the options of moving the other bins around or buying extra ones. The same goes for the shelves inside the refrigerator. Since milk bin is sort of fixed, the shelves are not really adjustable by much.

Also, the freezes makes weird noises one the door closes.

On a positive, it looks beautiful.

AVANTI FFBM920W Bottom Mounted Frost-free Freezer Refrigerator 9.2 Cubic Feet White

AVANTI FFBM920W Bottom Mounted Frost-free Freezer Refrigerator 9.2 Cubic Feet White
  • Capacity: 9.2 Cubic Feet
  • Estimated Annual Operating Cost: $44
  • Your operating costs will depend on your utility rates and use. The estimated operating cost based on a 2007 national average electricity cost of 10.65 cents per kWh.

I have this unit in my apartment, and it has failed 5 times over the past 2 months. Each time, the fan that circulates cold air from the compressor into the refrigerator compartment stops working, causing the fridge compartment to warm up to about 60 degrees. According to the warranty technician, this is a design flaw that is common in these units. The unit is under warranty, so there *should* be responsive service to fix or replace it. Unfortunately, Avanti has terrible service delivery and I have been waiting now almost two weeks for a replacement part that in theory would fix this problem. (Although I can't say I trust that even this will work.)

I highly recommend that you do not purchase this unit if you want any security that your refrigerator actually functions.

I realized that that the item is too small. I just do not know if there is a way to return it. I would never buy anything on Amazon -because you really cannot judge before you look. The bottom freezer is fine, but the actual refrigerator is small. I did not buy LG because I expected this one to be large and the one I saw there was actually bigger. It is moderately loud. Still did not decide what I am going to do about it. In Costco you can get a refrigerator normal size for just 399. the problem is that I wanted to have freezer at the botton. Now I need to struggle how I can fit everything there. The refrigerator seems too small even just for one person. I paid for delivery 175 dollars and the refrigerator 450. They say it costed over 1000 and got discount. I wish I saw the previous review before and knew how this refrigerator looks because no store in LA carries those and there is a reason. NO good.

This fridge is great for the money. It works great. Had mine for several months with no issues. The last review is ridiculous. Can you hear it run? Yes of course. It is about half the volume of a computer fan. Unless your sitting next to it you can't hear it. Saying it's louder than a full sized fridge is exaggeration at it's best.

The inner fan is loud and runs non stop. I called the help line to see if this was the norm or if I had a bad unit and I was quickly told that's how they are supposed to be. It emits a very low hum. It sits next to my computer and I really don't notice it unless the house is very quiet. The touch control is not overly sensitive and its max low end temp is 54. I plan to regularly clean the exhaust and intake vents since I suspect dirt in them killed my last wine fridge which was NOT a Sunpentown.

Swift Green Filters SGF-G9 Refrigerator Water Filter

Swift Green Filters SGF-G9 Refrigerator Water FilterI was not sure how this filter would work for me since i had a GE one that came with the fridge. I followed the instructions on the soaking and letting the water run through it and it works just like the GE one. I have not experienced any after taste. The only hurdle i had, was that i needed to apply additional force to insert it into the fridgei knew that but did not think too much of it untill i had to do it. I will be buying the combo packs next time since it is economical. I also like that it comes from Canada, for once there is something that does not come from China.

I had my water tested and the filter did not remove any chlorine, ammonia,or particles from the water. You are basically drinking tap water. Highly disappointed.

This came with fairly easy-to-follow instructions. Only trouble I had installing was not realizing there was an edge on top that you have to line up with the fridge hole, or you risk damaging the filter. You can feel where to line it up with a finger, because you can't see it. Just push up and twist on that's it! It fits just fine and there's no leaking. The water comes out faster. The water tastes and looks fine. I like that it's more environmentally friendly than the GE filters. Only four stars because it has not been tested or certified by WQA for performance specifications it has been tested by an independent laboratory, and is certified by WGA according to NSF/ANSI standards for material requirements only.

Great Northern Polar Cube Elite Stainless Steel Finish Portable Ice Maker

Great Northern Polar Cube Elite Stainless Steel Finish Portable Ice Maker
  • 3 ice cube size selections
  • Dimensions: 12" (L) x 14" (D) x 15" (H)
  • Application: Makes ice for indoor and outdoor use
  • Ice-Making Capacity: 9 pieces per cycle, 33 pounds per day
  • Operating Cycle: 6-15 minutes

This ice maker is wonderful! I'll cagegorize my review for ease of reading:

Appearance:

Very attractive stainless steel appliance with an eye-appealing design. Looks great on the countertop.

Portability:

Is pretty lightweight, so it can be used in the kitchen, taken outside on the patio, or even brought on a camping trip (as long as there is electrical outlet available).

Speed:

It makes 9 ice cubes at a time, which takes about 6 minutes. You can get a decent quantity of ice cubes in about an hour. Seems to be comparable to any in-freezer ice cube maker, but much more convenient.

Ease of use:

Fill the front chamber with water to the fill line, press the power button, select your ice cube size (small, medium or large) and that's it!

Additional info:

It's pretty quiet. I hardly notice it running after I switch it on.

I purchased it because I don't want to take up freezer space by putting an icemaker in my refrigerator. And, I don't like the idea of having to hook my refrigerator up to the house water system. I'm very satisfied with this ice maker.

The ice cubes are bullet-shaped with a hole in the middle. This shape really cools down my drink FAST!! And, the ice cubes last so long that I fill my glass halfway with ice cubes and top it off with water, then I can add more water and still have plenty of ice in my glass.

Note:

I had read on one review that the ice cube are wet. I found out that if you keep opening the lid frequently while the ice maker is working, the ice cubes will be wet obviously. But, if you just leave the lid shut until the machine completes making ice, the ice is nice and cold without being wet.

Final advice:

Reviewer 'disgusted' said that his ice maker stopped working after 9 months. Thought I'd mention that while the machine is plugged in when the power button is in the 'off' position, the green power button will flash at intervals. Apparently it maintains some sort of cycle detection or the sort. Anyway, if I'm not going to make ice for a while, I unplug the machine, drain the water out and clean the water chamber. I also make sure to keep the lid partially open to prevent mold from developing, as I would do to any refrigeration appliance.

I highly recommend this ice maker.

Buy Great Northern Polar Cube Elite Stainless Steel Finish Portable Ice Maker Now

I usually will not order anything that has not been previously reviewed and gotten good reviews but I let the price dictate my ordering in this case and not the reviews. This was a big mistake Item was a convenient size and would have been okay if it had worked. I followed the set up directions and used the required amounht of water. I tried the smallest size setting to begin with and received 4 small ice cubes in approximately 6 minutes. Unfortunately, that was all the ice I received at any size. After the first 4 cubes I began smelling a very strong odor that soon could be smelled throughout the house.

I have returned this ice maker and I have ordered another brand that had very good reviews. This has taught me a very valuable lesson about buying a "pig in a poke".

Absolutely awesome little machine!

Atractive, compact and outpaces my refrigerator ice maker by about 5 lbs to one. Make so much ice so fast, I can't out-drink it LOL!!

We have it at the camp at the lake which has no automatic icemaker and I have bags of ice stockpiled for the neighbors.

I highly reccommend this machine.

We purchased this fridge from Lowes, not amazon, but it was the exact same model. Looks great, huge inside and big bottom freezer.... But looks arent everything... within 3 months the fridge and freezer stopped cooling the food. Of course this happened 3 days before Easter when I was making a HUGE Easter dinner. The service dept. could not come out until the next afternoon. The temp panel on the side stopped working, and the motor blew out. Ruined all my food. Didn't have a cooler so had to go buy 3 foam ones with 12 bags of Ice to put everything in so I could try to spare the $300 worth of food I jad just bought.

Already had a service call within the first year, they wouldnt replace it just fix it.. This probably wont even last 2 years. What a piece of junk.

Buy

We purchased this model this August (3 months ago) from the leading home improvement/supply store. Purchased from their Web site without actually seeing the product first ...boy was that a mistake! One look at this fridge will make clear what a cheap product it is. Sure, it is large, but this fridge just screams low quality at almost every criteria. For example, the large handle to open the freezer drawer is loose and just wiggles up and down like some screws are loose, but that's just the way it is designed!? The drawers inside the fridge are so flimsy they are hard to close. When you attempt to push them shut they tend to bend more than actually move back and forth. And I don't know who the genius was who decided to put one large drawer at the bottom of the fridge that spans the entire width of the interior. You have to open both refrigerator doors completely just to open this drawer, which is the kind of drawer you put most of your "go-to" items such as deli meats, cheeses, etc. This wouldn't be so bad if the fridge could actually keep its cool.

The fridge is set on 33, but will not go below 40 degrees. I leave a thermometer in there all night and in the morning it is still on 40-41.

Also, the freezer door had a tendency to not want to form a proper seal upon close from day one. In the past couple of weeks, it got worse all of a sudden, and now the freezer door pops back open when you shut it. There is a one inch gap on one side and half inch on the other. There is nothing blocking the door, it is just a major defect in the design. We have to use a giant bungee cord wrapped around the bottom of the fridge to keep the freezer shut while we wait for the repair company to come back with the parts to repair this issue. The repair man also explained that the fridge is cooled by the freezer on this model, so the entire product is pretty much dysfunctional at this point.

The repair man also warned us never to buy another fridgedare product because the quality is poor and their support is virtually non-existent. He actually called Fridgedare on our behalf to see if they could send us a new fridge due to the extensive issues with this "new" product. All support were willing to do was give us a $25 voucher for the $500 in food we lost when the food spoiled. Oh yeah, and they promised to call the repair company, find out what parts were needed, and have those overnighted to our house, but we never heard from them again nor have we been able to make any more progress by trying to call back.

We thought we were getting a good deal on a very large fridge, simply because it lacked some features that we really didn't need, such as a water dispenser. There is a reason this very large fridge is so cheap and it's not because of lack of features. This is a terrible product and anybody who purchases it will definitely have a lot of issues. Not only are there huge design flaws and quality control issues, the materials used are very cheap and insufficient. I wish there were some way we could return this fridge but now we are stuck with this nightmare!

5/25/2013 Update.

After the initial review, the repair person eventually did come out and fix the freezer door. The temperature still will not go below the low 40's despite being set at the lowest setting of 33 degrees. A couple of months back I noticed a cool breeze when holding my hand in front of the lower portion of where the refrigerator doors shut. After continually feeling this cold air leaking out for a couple of weeks, I shined a flashlight towards the area and noticed I could see clear inside the fridge! There was a half inch gap between the refrigerator door at the lower portion. I had to call the service company again and the soonest they could come out was more than one week away. When the repair person finally arrived, I also notified him that the refrigerator door does not automatically shut when you release it, as it did when we purchased the fridge. He said that was normal and proceeded to argue with me, when I tried to disagree. Sure enough, when he fixed the seal by adjusting the doors, the door then shut on its own again. So just wanted to let you all know, that this fridge has continued to give problems after the initial review. We deeply regret this purchase.

I've had this refrigerator for about a year now and love it. However, the ice maker was always slow and now it has begun to turn itself off after emptying the ice. I don't know what to do except to have the ice maker replaced but I've read that the replacements are sometimes worse than the original. The label inside the refrigerator lists the ice maker as Model/Type JBND-28 but a web search returns no hits. Anyone have suggestions/comments. If you comment on this ad, I will get an e-mail.

The fridge is the worst POS I have ever bought. From day one in hasn't made much ice. I am the only one in the family that uses ice and it will barely keep up with one person's consumption. Also from day one you have to put a great deal of pressure on the left door to get the alarm sensor to read. If you don't a few minutes later you will be getting up to fix it. The only place to put 2 litter pop upright is on the door. The door pockets are not deep enough to keep a 2 litter from falling to the floor. 3 times now I have had 2 litters fall to the floor and explode and become pop rockets across the kitchen floor.

I used to work in engineering and it really pisses me off to see products that are poorly designed make it into production. In my opinion the design team at Frigidaire should be taken out and shot. I gave it a one star because you cant give ZERO.

Bought this model in May and frost collects on the light fixture in the center front of freezer and the seal at the same spot. Repair man made an adjustment and problem not fixed. Repairman returns with a new seal and now the freezer and evrything in it is frost covered barely frozen. He suggested i give the seal a couple of weeks the acclamate.I've removed everything because some froze soft and some didn't. Watery, icie and frosty in there.I guess we wait and see.

Whirlpool W10287227RM Vibe Away Anti-Vibration Pads, 4 Pack

Whirlpool W10287227RM Vibe Away Anti-Vibration Pads, 4 PackFinally a vibration pad that has a recess for the feet so it stays put and is stiff enough not to deform. It doesn't eliminate all the noise or vibration but it is a significant improvement for a very reasonable price. Well worth it.

It's now 9 months since we bought these for our neighbour above us. The neighbour is still very happy with less vibration in his own unit and my wife now continues to sleep through the odd hours that the neighbour chooses to do their laundry. I do not understand the few negative reviews. This is a terrific product. Well worth the price to keep peace with your neighbour.

I purchased these because I have an LG front loader that sits on a second floor with wood floors and also sits in a white plastic floor protector. The washing machine would jump all around and vibrate like crazy. We never had this problem in our previous home. I worked multiple times trying to level the washer, but it would never really help. I saw the competitor product that was twice as much, and I wasn't sure if it would work. When I saw these for half the price, I decided to give them a try. The rubber pads work really well. There is still a small amount of vibration (only about 10 20 % of what was there before), and almost all noise is gone. Lastly, the washer stays completely in place. So glad I bought this product!

I have a top loader that likes to roam around the laundry room. These recycled rubber hockey pucks are cheap and stopped my washers inability to remain in one place. There is a slight odor of new tires but this will fade after a few days. If only the manufactures could build a washer that doesn't shake like a paint shaker. These work to keep your washer in one place so you don't walk in on a broken hose and water spraying everywhere!

This was recommended by the Best Buy service tech when I had my washer serviced. I put them under my LG washer and they make a big difference. Before my washer would get off balance easy and starting walking. They are easy to install as long an you have someone who can lift each side of the washer at a time while the other person put the pads under neath.
