Not durable, we purchased it for a pantry. We were told by two different shops it would be better to just buy another one as the cost of coming to look at it and repair it were not worth it. I will not be purchasing Danby products again. After 2 years, it stopped cooling. Just paid $485 to get it fixed. It is very nice looking but it isnt a good product.
I would not buy another Danby product.

Electrolux EI24WC65GS IQ-Touch 24" Stainless Steel 46 Bottle Capacity Compact Wine Chiller
- EI24WC65GS
I did lots of research on wine coolers and things to look for when buying one, and I trusted consumer report that mentioned this unit to be least expensive in yearly energy consumption.
It uses 400kWh per year, so they calculated the average yearly cost to run the unit to be $47 on average. In NY, of course, it would be a double, but it is still good enough than paying $400+ a year for a dual temperature unit or a unit that is cheaper and more compact.
As the previous review stated, the unit is made in USA and Canada, which is refreshing. YAY!
In general, the unit is quite sturdy; although on a heavier side, its pieces/parts are not flimsy. Sliding racks are super smooth. Bordeaux and Pinot Noir bottles fit with no problem.
It is tiny tiny bit loud when it is running, but we have an old GE fridge (over 15 years old) standing next to it that has been making noise for some time, so now they both can make noise together. I am used to it, so unless you are very sensitive to this type of noise, you may want to pass on wine cooler all together. They all make some noise, period!
Bottom line, I just got the unit. Not sure how it will run in the long run, but I will update this review once there are any changed/news.

We had looked for a wine fridge for a long time before settling on this particular one. Love the look and it holds as many bottles as it says it will. Love everything about it but the only reason I couldn't give it 5 stars is that it is a little loud when it is running. Definitely worth the money though!Again, we spent time searching for an appliance made in the U. S. or Canada. All Electrolux products are in fact made in the U. S. or Canada, we loved this cooler so much that we bought other appliances made by them and love them all. Looks good, works good and does not require an engeneering degree to install and operate it.Delivery:Anyway, delivery was a challenge, wrong day for starters. They called on the Monday to say it'd be Wednesday not Tuesday. Given for me it's a 2 hr drive north and a vacation place I've been fixing up for years, not the most convenient thing. The caller told me it was because the truck broke down. The delivery guy said it was because of the Jewish holidays. Then they "got lost', and instead of the 2:00pm to 6:00pm delivery window I got it in the dark at 9:00pm.
Furthermore they sent a box truck that was too large for our hill road, which I'd specifically told them about, not mentioned in the notes, but they did manage to write "stairs" on the order. More on that later. I ended up getting it onto my pick-up in the dark and the driver refused to leave the truck, so the other guy came with me and we got it into the house and then the company charges $25 per 7 stairs that as he was on his own I just said that's enough, I'm not paying to help you carry it down the stairs, so I left it in the box. It did work out with "free" delivery and no State sales tax $300 cheaper than Lowes, but a lot more traumatic. So I went up again last weekend to unpack it and make sure it works within the 30 days
So the Electrolux seems to work well. It can handle 46 bottles, but looses two bottom shelves for a "Display" angled shelf that you can have lit. I tend to prefer to have all the bottle's at an angle that ensures the cork stays moist. This still might be ok. The end of the shelves are metallic, not wood.
It's a little loud when running, but they all make some noise, I don't notice it and it shuts off when at the correct temp, which it reaches pretty quickly. There is a charcoal air filter, which I'd don't really see the need for. Running costs are estimated at $45 a year.
Overall I'm pleased. If you live in a regular location and have no stairs it's a good deal. I ordered from HcCost. It wasn't the cost pushed me to this over Lowes but the fuss they made when I tried to order with them online and by phone. At least with Amazon and it's resellers you click a button.I have had this device for 1 week.
1. It seems to work as advertised. It came undamaged and the shipper HCcost was great!
2. The door requires a great deal clearance on the side to open correctly. BE WARNED. Look at detailed specs.
3. Door opens from left to right (hinge is on the right) Plan for the additional room required!
4. The unit DOES NOT come with a door conversion kit to change the hinge from the right side to the left. If you want the kit, it is approx $117 from electrolux. This includes a couple of brackets, and plastic covers. In my opinion, for a $1500 wine cooler, this is unacceptable. The customer service folks offered a 10% discount, but $105 plus s+h for two brackets, and plastic bracket cover in my opinion is a complete ripoff. For that I unfortunately can not recommend this unit. The cost of the conversion kit is a deal breaker.

GE Profile : PWR04FANBS 20 Wine Center, 29 Bottle Capacity - Stainless Steel and Black
- 29 Bottle Capacity
- Adjustable Temperature Control with Digital Temperature Readout
- Pull Out, Chrome Racks
- Multiple Shelf Positions
- Interior Light with Timer
This unit is wonderful to look at and i enjoy the large size and the ability to look into the fridge and seeing all my wonderful bottles of wine! The racks only really hold the normal sized bottles and not the large ones or some of my champagne bottles. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how open bottles can still be put back into the fridge without spilling or leaking (by not being on its side but at an angle), but that was the biggest selling point for me with this fridge. I looked for others and could not find any with this feature under 1k.
A drawback: the door doesnt quite seem to open far enough to easily allow the racks to come out. Not a big deal but could be for some people.
Another possible drawback: when the fridge was first turned on it kind of had a whining "fridge running" kind of noise that was louder than the normal fridge. That went away and now has the same sounds as my normal fridge does when it turns on to keep the temperature.

Ok, so I just picked this up a few days ago at my local retailer (they had this unit on sale for %50 off) and I have to admit, this unit has been running pretty good. Now, I selected this unit based on several factors:1) Wine Capacity
2) Open Wine Storage
3) Noise Level
This unit can accommodate up to 29 bottles (5 bottles per rack). The racks have a little trouble sliding out, but it's no biggie if you like to look at the wines individually (which is my preference). The bottom rack can be used for either oversized bottles like Champagne or you can store open bottles at the bottom (they are tilted at an angle) which is great so you do not have to take up room in your kitchen refrigerator. Another thing I like about this unit, it's very quiet. When you do hear the compressor turn on, it's only audible for about 3 5 seconds before it quiets down. If you are hosting a party or if you have some audible noise in the background, it will not be heard.
The unit itself needs about an inch and a half of clearing space between each of its sides so heat can escape properly (which prevents the unit from overheating). The back of the unit needs about two inches as well and it also needs about two inches of clearing space if you were to store it under a cabinet. So far I have it setup in my living room with two inches of clearing space all around and heat has not been an issue.
Now, this unit does not really have dual climate zones for red or white wines. Typically, the bottom of the unit gets a little colder, so they recommend putting your white wines at the bottom while the red wines stay up top. I currently have this unit set to 60 degrees and it has had no issues keeping the wines cooled. Time will tell to see how long this unit lasts. As far as appearance go's, this unit does have a nice look, stainless steel door frame and everything is black so it gives it a noticeable, but elegant look.I've had this wine fridge about 9 months now and am very happy with it. I researched quite a bit before the purchase and liked the idea that this unit was actually by an "appliance" company, not some other company just making/marketing a product for a niche market.
Very quiet, barely/never hear the compressor cycle on when it starts the cooling cycle. Has 3 settings, red, white, and custom. External digital readout indicates the temperature stays within 1 degree up/down of the set point (haven't actually put a thermometer inside to verify the inside temp with the readout). Shelves have adequate spacing, no problems there. Nice sharp look in black and silver, and there's a cool interior bluish light you can turn of if you want to (it automatically turns off after a set time).
Got it on sale from major box store for $395 + tax, free delivery. Real happy with the purchase, price and capacity. When it's almost full I know it's time to stop buying wine or start drinking more :-)I've had this wine Refrigerator for two (2) years without a problem.
It's quiet and
Maintains constant temperature +/2 degrees. Excellent for long term storage
Nice looking unit also.
I see someone complained about rubber feet. A minor annoyance that won't affect performance. No problem with mine. They don't need much adjustment.
I read another review which said, it Only lasted Seven (7) Years. About 6 more than most thermoelectric models that won't maintain temperature unless your room is a constant temperature. That's 2 years past compressor warranty. That is a great return on your investment too me. Seems any problems are corrected, although GE doesn't show up the next day nor would I expect them to, so that's a plus.
I wish they made a larger capacity model. Home Depot has 88 reviews averaging 4 1/2 stars.? So read negative reviews carefully to see if there really is a problem with the reliability of the product.I have debated buying a wine fridge for a good month, read a ton of reviews and decided to go with the GE model. I am not disappointing with my decision, it works as expected and all the negative reviews i read about the rubber feet falling off was a non-issue for me.
The one thing i would say, even though i didn't buy this fridge for the locking system, the mechanism is really cheap, but i you can get around it just by not using it.
Otherwise love this thing, and makes you look like a sophisticate.

GE Refrigerator / Freezer Relay Overload WR09X10106
Buy GE Refrigerator / Freezer Relay Overload WR09X10106 Now
This was my second attempt to replace the Relay on my GE Profile PSS23MGTE CC side by side fridge. First attempt was ordering a part that looked like the one that came off the fridge and it was not right. I was originally hesitant to go with this part because not only was it a different color, but the connectors looked different as well. Once I got it I was still a little skeptical, but low and behold the replacement part number actually was correct and this got my fridge running again. This was my first large appliance repair, and it couldn't have gone better, except if I just accepted that the replacement part number, even though it looked so different, was actually correct.Read Best Reviews of GE Refrigerator / Freezer Relay Overload WR09X10106 Here
