It's great! fits EXACTLY into the available space in my tiny kitchen, holds more than enough... LOVE the freezer capacity (seems bigger than my sister's new hulking huge one) and the fridge capacity is deceptively big. It's my favorite kitchen appliance!
I purchased this LG refrigerator for my loft and could not be more pleased. I needed something chic and fabulous but yikes! The space allocated for the fridge is so narrow! I also wanted counter depth so as not to take up precious floor space there's almost nothing on the market that would have worked, short of a sub zero-type model for $6,000. Every other option was so ugly and unappealing that I could not bring myself to purchase.
I want to hug this slim little beauty!
The freezer space is three perfect, large drawers, plus a quick freeze zone for ice. The fridge space is very well designed. I don't use items like soda bottles but I do have three cartons of milk in the door, plus loads of fruits, veggies, and charcuterie items. Everything fits beautifully.
The kicker is the energy efficiency. The annual cost of operation is only $54 a year which means this box uses almost no power. Also, it has a vacation switch press the button if away and the fridge does its magic to keep things cool while saving power, pollution, the planet. Thanks, LG, for making such a brilliant product!
I love the design of the fridge, especially the drawers in the freezer. However, the fridge has broken twice in the 7 months I've owned it. LG needs to improve its quality control. My unit should never have left the factory.

This is my second LG 10 cu. ft. bottom-freezer refrigerator. The first one is still being used as a spare. I cannot say enough about this model. I have a small kitchen and it looks great (nicely designed) and it does not appear small in height or width. I love the fact it is counter depth and the height is 67+" tall. I have gotten so many compliments about it. Also, I love the bottom freezer (it really holds a lot). The refrigerator (top part) is good also. Love the features and cannot not find any complaint(s). VERY EASY to clean. I would highly recommend this item especially if you have a small kitchen/area. The price is great my first one (2 years old) (Amazon did not carry it at the time) cost more than this one!!! Even though it is the exact model, I noticed they made 2 changes 1) door trim is different color; and emblem is different other than that, exact model. My old bellow on my washer was accumulating a black mold and no amount of cleaning could get rid of or prevent it. I read online the product is easily replaced following these instructions. (repair manual for HE2 washer same as whirlpool duet:
The hardest part was putting the outside spring wire that holds the bellow in place, back on. What worked for me was to use two sets of needle nose pliers and grab both ends of the spring and pull the spring apart while placing the wire around the bellow. It took me about 1 hour to remove and replace this piece, mainly because I cleaned the inside of the washer and I also cleaned the filter (located at the bottom of most front load washers you already have it open you might as well). It was a good thing I cleaned the filter it was full of mildew smelling garbage and about $1.50 in change. This is not a hard task to complete, and it is cheaper than buying new or hiring a repair guy.
Not a 100% perfect fit, but it works. Appears to be wider than the original, but in spite of that, it does seal and it did not leak during the initial test.
This product is a great replacement when you need it for your washer. This part tends to collect with mold and begins to smell. The installation is a little difficult but it can be done. Putting the tension band back on to the washing machine is the most difficult part and I needed the wife's hands to help. I will tell you this, replacing this part saved me from buying a new machine and saved me quite a bit of money. There are no compatibility issues at all, everything was a snug fit and there are no leaks.
Great filters that are exactly what I needed. I ordered them hoping they would work for my filter as it is quite old now. They fit perfectly. Would definitely recommend.
Got this for my Oreck AirInstinct HEPA Large Room Air Purifier and it fits perfectly. Cheaper than Oreck's too. Since this Sears 83190 charcoal fits, I wonder if their HEPA filter would fit too: 83190 Sears/Kenmore HEPA Replacement Air Filter. I just got a new Oreck HEPA filter, but may try the Sears version next time, since it's so much cheaper. If this Sears charcoal fits, their HEPA should fit too. Happy ;oD
Have an air filter/cleaner purchased from Sears that do no produce Ions as they would've been bad for my spouse's lung disease. Anyway, have to replace the 2 different types of filters every few times p/yr and got what I wanted. It works just fine.
The deliver was fast. The product was half the price of the name brand. It seems to be working perfectly. Just remember to run about 3-4 gallons of water through the filter after installation. This will seat all the fittings and the dripping, you experience once installed, will stop.
I installed thinking that it it would expand. It did a little but the bumps where it was crushed are still there and I do not think it is making a good seal. I would like to get another but I do not want the same problem.

I recently purchased this cartridge along with an adapter to replace an old metal FXRC cartridge in a used fridge I just bought. It fit perfectly (with the adapter in place on the top), and after running through a quart or so of water to clean it up I've been using it for a month or so now with no issues. The water tastes very good, as does the ice. I live in the AZ desert so it gets a lot of use. Good product, does what it says...
Bought in November 2010, delivered and installed in December 2010. Freezer went out in December 2011 over the holidays, and called Frigidaire for service on January 3, 2012, only to be told we "should've called in December, appliance is no longer under warranty" and they would not offer to service it under warranty as a courtesy. So my final recommendation: DO NOT BUY FRIGIDAIRE APPLIANCES, they do not stand by the quality and reliability of their products when given the opportunity too. I am a first-time customer and now a last-time customer. Sticking with Kenmore or Whirlpool.
I had this refrigerator 4 weeks when the defrost coil melted the plastic insulation creating a horrible burnt smell that wreaked for weeks in my house and ruined all the food that was in the fridge. The service rep came to my house to see about the problem and promptly recommended a replacement refrigerator. After 6 weeks of waiting and literally hours on "hold" with the Frigidaire Customer Service Department, still no replacement. I've been living out of coolers all this time. I have talked with at least 6 different Customer Reps during this time, often passed to a Manager. The managers are always busy and I am told they will call me. Managers rarley return my calls. This seller is not at all implicated in my dispaeasure with this product.
We bought ours in September 2011 and both the fridge and freezer work great. The unit looks really nice, it's spacious, well-designed, and shows little sign of wear. We would definitely buy this model again or recommend it.
I found the specifications for this filter: (Amazon deleted my link) It is basically a charcoal and particle filter. There is not an NSF stamp on it. It says it is made to NSF standards, however, it has not been tested by the NSF. It's filtration must not be as restrictive as the OEM because it will increase your dispenser pressure and you will fill your glass at least twice as fast. It is made in Hong Kong not China as some have speculated.
The filter was easy to install and worked immediately. It was worth the money spent. I would by it again especially since GE parts are so expensive.
I love these filters. I received them on time from Amazon. They fit perfectly. After I installed I ran 32 oz of water and thru that away to make sure the water was clean. Once I tasted the tasted the water from these filters I would never by the expensive GE MFW filter again. Highly recommend these filters.
This model is newer inside than the larger, non-counter depth model RS275ACRS. I returned that model to get this one and am very glad I did.
1. This model has interior LED lights when you open the refrigerator instead of the hotter old bulbs like the 275.
2. I am somewhat compulsive about temperature control. I have two precision thermometers, one in the fridge and one in the freezer compartment. On the RS275ACRS, the temperatures were nowhere near what the external display was reporting them as. On this model, however, the refrigerator is usually within 0.2 deg F of the reported temperature (at coldest setting of 34F, thermometer reports 34.1 whereas the 275 would be all over the place, never lower than 37 or so). In the freezer, this model is rock solid at -10 F when the external display is -14 F. I consider this excellent, as most freezers can't get this low. The 275 was lucky to get to -7 F with the display at -14 F. And yes, I allowed plenty of calibration time and took multiple readings over weeks. So, in my testing anyway, they have definitely upgraded the innards since the 275.
3. This model has the icemaker on the freezer door, not hogging the upper shelves of the freezer, which I love.
4. It is, obviously, slightly shallower than the RS275ACRS, but the markedly improved performance is well worth it to me.
5. Fridge very quiet.

We purchased the Samsung RSG257AARS a week ago to replace our old Whirlpool (around 25 years old) that chugged along like a locomotive and sounded like one too.
It's still early, but thus far I have to give the Samsung a big thumbs up.
Pluses:
1) Very attractive design inside and out.
2) The interior theatre lighting is a nice touch.
3) Very effective cooling.
4) Exceptionally quiet.
5) Simple-to-use controls
Minuses:
1) The shelving has limited adjustment capability.
2) The crisper drawers pull out only half-way, so access is a little compromised.
3) The freezer should have a special slot for pizza boxes to be stored upright.
Side note: This model has a stainless steel finish and a great cleaner to use is Weiman's Stainless Steel Cleaner and Polish.
EDIT: (7/18/12) We've now owned this Samsung for nearly three years and are very happy with the purchase. The 5 stars rating remains accurate insofar as our experience is concerned. We've had zero problems with this product. It's super quiet. Keeps food consistently cold. And, for us at least, the ice maker works well.
EDIT (3/27/13) Still lovin' the fridge. Zero problems. Quiet. Nice.
Just got this after my old whirlpool died. It is very attractive, shallow in depth, and I love the inside LED lighting. The only thing I don't like so far is that the produce bins don't open all the way. You can lift the bin and pull it out more but then you risk the entire bin falling out.
I am really impressed with how much storage space there is inside this counter depth refrigerator.
UPDATE: The ice maker is SUPER slow. I run out of ice all the time if I have more than 4-6 people over for dinner and drinks.
I really wanted a counter-depth side-by-side refrigerator. After researching a few minutes, I realized that Counter-Depth units are rare and cost much, much more for the same quality. Everything I put my hands on at the retailers (in my price range) felt like garbage, until I found this Samsung (one of the few brands I didn't research). The local store offered me a killer deal, so I had it delivered.
After going through all the procedures in the manual, and procedures on the phone with tech support, the icemaker didn't work. I have no issues with the water line, and my old, cheap refrigerator quickly churned out buckets of ice (old school interior style with no exterior dispensor) until the moment they hauled it off for this Samsung. I researched online and found all the Samsung icemaker horror stories. Many brands have icemaker issues but Samsung models seem to have quite a bit more?
I called the repair center and they said the first available time for a tech to arrive was 2 weeks. I did not want to get into the endless loop of "wait for repair wait for part to arrive wait for repair with part wait to see if part works rinse and repeat", so I called the local store I bought it from, and returned it. Plus, I believe that when you buy something new, and spend this much money, it should work. If not, they should send someone out immediately so you at least get up-and-running with what you paid for.
I gave up on the "counter-depth dream" and decided to buy a standard depth (in another brand) and will have to deal with the extra bulk. The price jumps too high for reasonable quality.
On the bright side, I will say that this Samsung model is beautiful and has rock solid feel to it (like the 3000-4000+ models). The LED tower lighting is amazing. Tons of space and features. I love the computer and it cooled super fast to requested temps. To me, it was like an expensive, high-end fridge and very impressive. Aside from a few minor flaws, I was blown away at the quality/price ratio. If they could only get the icemaker on par with the rest, it would be the best deal around (assuming you know how to haggle for a great deal).
In the year 2010, what is so difficult about making something as simple as an icemaker? Don't they know that this is what typically makes or breaks a refrigerator?
We've had the refrigerator for 2 years now and I don't agree with most of the negative reviews. It's a perfect size for a frig that fits flush with your kitchen cabinets. The lighting in this model is perfect on ever shelf. It's cold on every shelf and bin. The ice dispenser is a bit slow but nothing to truly complain about. The stainless steel doors are a bit of a hassle with fingerprints, but every stainless steel appliance I've ever own shows prints. it's a beautiful design and super quiet.
The door on this cooler is poorly designed and will not stay shut. There is a little roller on the bottom that is supposed to keep the door closed but it does not work right. No latch at the top of door to help keep the door closed either. A magnet system would work better as on other units.. Also when you lock the door it still opens slightly and does not seal. The height is also incorrect as listed in their specs. They say the height is 32.25 but it is actually 34.50 and may not fit under your cabinet. The cooler is way over priced and I highly recommend you search for another brand. Look closely at reviews before buying a wine cooler as there are MANY poorly made as this China unit is. Yes, made in good ole China.
I usually purchase them from Lowes and they last a pretty long time. These didn't last a month. That's too bad, I was really looking forward to a continued purchase.
Have to replace the old filter on a Kitchen Aid and the old cap was already broken. This new one fits in perfectly, except that the color (bright white vs creamy white) doesn't match exactly. It's much easier to turn than the original one.
I ordered this cap and it works just fine. It is a factory replacement cap. The challenge was that it is recessed into the grill. That limits the access your fingers have when turning the filter, making this a frustrating and time-consuming process!
What to do? Partially remove the grill. Pull the grill down and away at the right corner. Continue pulling the grill away and work this separation toward the area of the filter. What you are trying to do is gain separation between the grill and base of the fridge. When you do, open the freezer door and slide your fingers on to the cap (your fingers should be between the grill and fridge at this point). You won't have a lot of space, but it is more than just trying to twist the filter cap when it is recessed from the outer part of the grill.
Since I have to use pliers to turn the cap to get the filter out the cap gets all beat up. This cap will come in handy when I have to change my old beat up cap.
It's hard to know what to say about a cap it's just a cap after all but this one is exactly as described and replaces my damaged one just fine. This is a pass/fail kind of product, and it passes.
