The picture, and product number for this item differ. I bought the item currently listed on this page "Green Filter for Kenmore 46-9990 NSF Certified Refrigerator Water Filter, Cer..." for $27.97. A great price since the product specifications give this product number: "SGF-LB60" which is the version that matches certifications 42 and 53. A great price. However the product I received matched the picture, and is Green Filters other model, LB50. I contacted the seller I bought from, Global Shop Stop and they sent the item I thought I was buying. Thank you Global Shop Stop. Is there functionally a difference, I dont know but I've always had the better of the two filter versions and wanted to stick with that. Both of the green filter products are much less than other options. If you're expecting the stronger filter, I think the only option is to check the price for the two and pick the higher. Hopefully GSS will update this page to show the correct Green Filter product number.
I have a Kenmore Elite refrigerator. The filter number is 469990. I bought this Swift Green filter, and it says it fits my refrigerator on the box, but it doesn't fit. The distributor has an "All Sales are Final" return policy, so if you purchase a filter, BE SURE it is the correct one, or you might be out $35. Plus shipping.
The one I bought won't even make a good door stop.
I chose this item initially based on price vs Sears filter replacement costs. The first filter I received leaked just as many other reviews have reported with other model number swift filters. That was disappointing because I really liked the idea of this filter, "Green filter components are produced with a new technology that carbonizes dried coconut shells"... and much cheaper than Sears with the free shipping. Contact with the company resulted in a fast replacement free of charge (I know that should be expected but its always refreshing when it actually happens) . happy to say the new filter works like a champ, no leaks and good water flow.
This was suppose to fit our Kenmore refrigerator but it doesn't. It is a bit smaller and it doesn't absorb the water so it leaks from the overflow opening. Won't order it again.
Doesn't fit as "perfectly" as the OEM filter, but works well. I haven't had any issues with leaking. Overall I'd recommend it especially given the price differential. No noticeable difference in water taste or quality. I will buy it again.
Samsung 28.0 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator with Thru-the-Door Ice and Water
This refrigerator features an LCD touch screen with apps for easy operation and an independently controlled mid-drawer. The Twin Cooling Plus system ensures thorough temperature management.
Purchased this Samsung fridge as the final appliance to wrapup our change-over to stainless steel. For first 10 days, the refrigerator didn't seem to be keeping items cold in the refrigerator section. Freezer was working great (ice cream was rock solid) but refrigerator would not stay at temperature set on computer display. If I set the temperature for 34 degrees, the inside was anywhere from 46 to 55 degrees most days. Experimented for several days disabling energy saver and running on Power Cool, but nothing seemed to be a permanent fix.
I called Samsung was very disappointed with their response. They don't know much about this model yet. Level 2 support told me that I couldn't use a thermometer to measure the inside temperature. They told me that I could not use a mercury or digital thermometer because it would have to be calibrated for the fridge. When I asked what type of thermometer I could use, they could not give me an answer. I was told to trust the refrigerator to do it's job -Sure! They can eat the spoiled food! They told me that a few degrees was normal (which I accepted) but not 10 to 12 degrees all the time.....any, to make a long story short I decided to "reboot" my fridge.
Yup, it's a linux OS that runs the system and all the apps. I decided to pull the power plug for the first time since I installed the fridge and voila. The refrigerator started working correctly. Temperatures started reporting within 2 to 4 degrees of the set temperature on the control panel. So, if you buy this frige and have this problem, remember to reboot your fridge after a few days if the temperature doesn't hold.
As for the apps. yup, Pandor, Weatherbug, AP news, Picasa web album (SD Card or photos from any DLNA network device in your home), Epicurious and more all work via WiFi. Since my wife can no longer magnetically hang a calendar on the stainless steel, I showed her how to sync her IPhone with Google Calendar which puts all her appointments and reminders on the refrigerator screen for her to review every morning. Very cool. Also the NotePad option allows you to hand write notes and messages on the screen or with a keyboard. Very cool too. While the Apps are interesting and work quite well, I can't see myself reading the news or twitter feed on the door. The screen saver mode allows you to display all or some of the specific feeds.
Finally, there is a "Smart Grid" feature prominent on the display that nobody at Samsung Level 1 or Level 2 can tell me about. When you select the option, it gives you a warning that tells you a little about smart grid. It then displays an error message saying you don't have the SmartGrid modem. When I called Samsung support, they told me to just "go buy a modem". When I asked, what type and where do I "plug in" the modem board to the refrigerator, they came up blank for answers..... I suppose once enough people call and complain, they'll provide tech support with a better response.
Samsung support is outstanding! Call Samsung first before calling the retailer. They will send somebody onsite, no questions asked, to repair a $3000 refrigerator or a $350 microwave (which I bought a few weeks before which came with mfg cosmetic defects).
REFRIGERATOR: Oh yeah, how do I like the appliance as a "refrigerator". The refrigerator compartment is well lit with LEDs and spacious. Some of the door shelves needed getting used to when switching from my old Kenmore side-by-side as only certain bottles of certain heights will fit in specific locations. Seems more cramped on the doors. Inside shelve area, I can't seem to fill it with food or leftovers. The top right shelf (lowered one notch) is the one place tall enough to store bottled waters and some cold beer bottles. I would prefer to have them somewhere on the door, but they just don't fit.
COUNTER HEIGHT DOOR: The "counter-height" door is just silly. The sliding divider in the showroom seems like such a cool idea, but in practice, if you don't have solid block objects larger than the spacer, things are falling in between compartments as you poke around. COMPLAINTThe middle drawer does not come out far enough to easily see what's in the back section of the drawer. You can reach items, but you have to poke around and bend down.
FREEZER: Works rock solid and never had a problem. My wife and I complain that the ice cream is just too hard now. That's a good thing. Has section organizers but main section is just a big dumping place for stuff.
ICEMAKER: Works great but 1/4 the capacity of our old Kenmore and VERY NOISY when the ice drops into the bucket. Yeah...VERY noisy, otherwise you don't hear a thing from the fridge. Wife empties the ice bucket every morning with 3 "Big Gulp" type cups of ice she brings into work. My old Kenmore would half fill an Igloo Playmate. .
WATER DISPENSER: Works great and high pressure. Wife complains because the first few seconds the water is warm. This is because the water tube runs inside the door, behind the touch-screen computer. Water is cool after a few seconds. WARNING: Been about 3 week so far and the water still tastes and smells like the plastic reservoir. Looking forward to not having "that new fridge smell".
PRICE: Shop around. Purchased for $3300, then price discount a week later took off about $200. Then a competitor ran a Samsung 25% discount the next day and we saved another $600+ . Thank you Best Buy Price Match Policy.
AUGUST 2011 UPDATE: Refrigerator is performing flawlessly. Several software updates over the past few months have been pushed down and all the problems appear to be resolved...knock on wood. Counter-height door continues to be silly use of space with divider, Freezer is still a disorganized mess and we've gotten used to the "You've got Ice" plunk :-)
Agree with above reviews. Reboot fridge (unplug, wait about a minute and plug back in) after a few days from the time you first plug it in. Ours had wild temp swings prior to the reboot. Sometimes display said 15F in fridge, but thermometer said 38F. Other times display said 38F but fridge was actually 45F. After reboot it seems to be accurate again. Also, have heard some people (on other sites) say touchscreen doesn't work well (or not at all). I had this problem with a display model I was looking at in the store and was ready to pass up this fridge and go with the version w/out the LCD. But, I performed the touchscreen calibration and it worked perfectly after that. I especially like Weatherbug and have programmed my home weather and also weather for my family in another state. I really like the flex-space drawer as we can put sodas in there and cool them down to almost freezing temp. Nothing like drinking a Coca-Cola at 33F! Can't do that with a normal fridge as it's not good for lettuce and etc. The fancy sliding divider is useless. If they really want to improve it they need to make it so that you can lock it in place. It is so loose, it allows stuff to move around. We plan on getting some plastic tubs to organize it better. I'm going to see if I can remove the sliding rail system altogether. This thing is quiet! Way quieter than our 8yr old Maytag wide by side it is replacing. Like everyone else says...when the ice drops into the bin, it is loud. Most fridges are loud when this happens, but this one is especially so. It's been 2 days and the water has that "plasticky" taste. I hope the lines and filter purge this eventually. I wanted a fridge that would "WOW" my wife every time she looked at it or opened it. This one does that for sure.
Update: 12/13/11. So far the refrigerator has been great! I purchased a refrigerator thermometer and the temp has been spot on in all 3 parts of the refrigerator. I do notice, it takes a day or so to stabilize temp after you add a bunch of groceries. Maybe it's the energy efficiency programming. But, you can use the "power cool" setting and it cools down quicker. We are still running the flex-space drawer at 29F and enjoying sodas nice and cold! The longer we have the fridge the better we like it. We flip the "flip-up" shelf and put wine there. Also, when the right door is full of milk & OJ, we can slide the right middle shelf back out of the way and store a gallon of apple cider there. Really handy!
Update 6/10/12: Fridge is working perfect. Temps in all compartments are spot on. So far we are extremely happy! I'm about to order my first replacement water filter.
Update 7/13/12: Ordered new water filter. This one gave great tasting water right away. The original filter was part # DA29-00020A, whereas the new filter is DA29-00020B. Samsung must have changed something between the two filters.
I agree with many things the first reviewer had to say and yes, I rebooted my fridge as well although as I had the opportunity to read his review, I did it on the second day and now, temperature is basically spot on. All three compartments, fridge, drawer, freezer are usually +/1 degree of set point. I think the temperature sensors simply needed to stabilize and then calibrate with a reboot. I don't know that it wouldn't have happened on it's on as I didn't give it a chance.
Lighting in this thing is awesome. LED's all over the place, in every compartment so it's very easy to see what you have. Fit and finish seem excellent and it's EXTREMELY quiet. With any background noise in the kitchen at all I have to really listen to hear it running.
It's pretty cool having your fridge connected to the Internet, I particularly like having the Weatherbug app on the display and the wife likes having her Google calendar syncing with it.
I guess the only complaint I have and the reason I didn't give it five stars is the ice maker, and where it is. I would gladly give up having ice dispensed through the door (although water would still be nice) to have the ice maker mounted in the freezer to gain the lost space in the fridge. Most manufacturers however do the same thing. I can only recall one and I think it was Amana that had water only dispensed through the door and the ice maker in the freezer. Still, we moved from an old KitchenAid side by side with 25.0 cu/ft and this Samsung is 28.0 cu/ft so all in all, even with the ice maker in the fridge, we gained a HUGE amount of refrigerator space, so I don't complain too much.
I would buy this refrigerator again in a heart beat. Deals are to be had if you look
Never, ever again will I buy a Samsung major appliance. I have three of their televisions, and love them, but this fridge is a steaming piece of crap.
Repairmen out 7 times since I bought it, all to repair problems with the freezer. Main board replaced. Then (less than two weeks later) main board AGAIN replaced, along with all the sensors in the freezer section. Then daughter board and more sensors. Then the door display panel. Then the main board replaced for the third time and blamed on me because I was running the freezer empty, so they charged me for it. Like I was going to trust this freezer after that many failures until it had run reliably for a good long time? I'm still arguing with Samsung over that one. This morning I woke up to find my kitchen and dining room flooded the water chiller tank in the fridge is broken, there's water everywhere, and the fridge is a frosty 65 degrees.
The best money I've spent on a fridge in the last year is the cheap one I put in the garage. It's never broken down, and it works even in the summer in an uncooled garage. This thing? Unless you've got a masochistic streak a mile wide, a bottomless checking account, a love of throwing away food that was perfectly good when you went to bed last night but the fridge managed to destroy while you slept, and someone to stay home all day long waiting for the repairman again, don't even consider it.
I'm either going to call the repairman again, and hope that I get the one guy at the Samsung Authorized Repair Center who actually knows anything about Samsung refrigerators, or I'm stopping on the way home to get a new fridge and toss this thing on the junk heap, where it belongs. It's a toss-up right now.

I purchased my 26X series Samsung French-door refrigerator and also had the good fortune to remember to buy a Lowe's 4-year extended warranty.
Samsung products are junk, plain and simple. Once Korean-made quality products they are now made in China and are garbage. Samsung does not support their products unless you know how to create trouble for them.
Just a month after the Samsung warranty expired the icemaker reservoir did, too. That was repaired under the extended warranty the first, second, and third time. The bottom freezer gasket failed and was replaced. The freezer light switch failed and was replaced. Five days after the technician replaced the entire icemaker system the water dispenser failed. After replacing the main circuit board in back, the front control panel, lines, water switch and water reservoir with no luck the technician declared the refrigerator "unrepairable."
After the icemaker failed for the third time and the lower gasket and switch and the main CB had failed and been replaced I sent an email to Samsung Support from their website. What I got in response was that Samsung considers these types and numbers of failures within less than two years since purchase "Normal wear and tear."
Chatting online the representative apologized but refused to escalate my issues to a higher level ("Not allowed").
I contacted Lowe's Home Office and advised them of my problems and the fact of so many negative reviews in Amazon as well as the Class Action lawsuit against Samsung for selling several models of refrigerators with KNOWN defective compressors. Lowe's promised to look into the matter.
I waited a few days and then did another online chat. This time my claim was routed up the chain and I was assured I would get a call "within 2-3 business days." On the fourth business day I went back on the Chat Line and I got a call several hours later.
Suddenly, Samsung was "very concerned" and was willing to issue me a rebate for the depreciated value of the unit. All I had to do was send them a copy of the original sales receipt and invoices for the repairs. I did that and was told it would be 17-21 business days for my refund.
About a week later I got a call from a TV repair shop asking to set up an appointment to "inspect a Samsung unit." I told him I did not have a Samsung TV and he said he would cancel the call. I found out later that Samsung has no appliance service techs in my area and they then cancelled my claim.
Got that straightened out with the promise of another call to Lowe's Home Office and now I am SUPPOSED to be getting my depreciated rebate soon. The Lowe's Extended Warranty folks confirmed the "unrepairable" status with the technician and they are issuing me a Lowe's gift card for the full purchase price plus tax.
...and the icemaker gave up the ghost for the FIFTH time last night. Rather than try to sell it or give it away I am going to have Lowe's take it away and junk it.
20 micron sediment water filter to reduce dirt in your drinking water
Sturdy construction with a polypropylene core
Recommended for chlorinated water supplies, for reliably cleaner water
Easy to install and replace
The Pentek S1-BB is a cellulose water filter capable of 20 micron filtration. This filter is used for general home water filtration, for systems that filter water before it reaches your tap.
Diameter: 4.5 inches
Height: 9.5 inches
** Designed for a 5x10 Whole House water filtration system **
It is pleated which allows for multiple layers of filtration allowing it to last longer without clogging. The 20micron filter is ideal for removing sediment from water such as: sand, sediment, silt, rust particles, and scale particles
When compared to other brands, the Pentek seems nearly identical in design, filtration quality and durability; but it actually costs less than the leading brand in my area. The leading brand is rated at 6mo / 16,000 gallons . The Pentek is rated at 4mo / 16,000 gallons which seems a little odd as they both have the same amount of gal/filter rating and I've had no problems using Pentek S1-BB's past 4 months.
** The rating of 4mo / 6mo is dependent on your water usage and water quality. Push the filter too much and it could clog eventually, slowing water pressure.
Overall the Pentek S1-BB filter is a quality product. It works as advertised and easily can go 6 months without needing to be changed (I only use around 2200-2500 gal/mo). Durable design, like the leading brand(in my area), and a very fair price make this an great replacement filter to use when the time comes to replace your Whole House water filter. 4 stars.
**NOTE: This filter is not designed for Well Water. It is designed for Chlorinated water. It is recommended by Pentek to use a P20-10BB-WF for Well Water
**NOTE: Depending on water use and water quality, you could get anywhere from 4 months to 6 months with this filter
Design is stylish and innovative. Satisfaction Ensured.
Great Gift Idea.
I had the wine cellar for less than 3 months when it just stopped working. I thought it was just the outlet but I tried it in 2 other ones and it just won't turn back on. I had received it as a gift from and it was already out of the warranty period by the time I got it. I know I didn't pay for it but I am still upset. Don't buy, even if it's a good deal.
I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my parents. In the beginning it worked. It didn't work well, but it cooled a little. A few months later and it completely stopped cooling. After reading more reviews I realized pretty much everyone had this problem, and I had given my parents a piece of trash.
My unit says 2006 but I think I bought it later. Like others have said, it never really did cool the wine. The red and white settings were virtually the same. About 6 mos ago it started making a groaning sound. I thought it was dust in the fan so I cleaned it out and it stopped. Now the entire fan has stopped. After reading other reviews, it would cost too much to fix compared to the purchase price. I'm sorry because it fit perfectly under my cabinet in the butler's panty!! Not sure if it's the model or the maker...
I received a twelve bottle Haier wine cellar for Christmas in 2008 from my daughter. It quit working within 18 months. When I called the 800 number listed in my owner's manual, I was told the warranty is for 12 months and it would be cheaper for me to purchase a new one. I told them the warranty specifies, parts and labor for twelve months and parts only for an additional twelve months. The representative stated that she did not care what the booklet said, the warranty is twelve months, period.
This summer I purchased a new dehumidifier and while researching, the name Haier did not come with good reviews. Needless to say, I did not purchase one of their units. You get what you pay for with Haier, go cheap but be prepared to purchase often.
A few things I have to say, the refrigerator is okay. Remember, I wasnt paying $500.00 for a mini wine cooler but I also expected a little more. The company processed the order quickly and shipped it quickly. However the carrier just left it on the front door where someone could have walked away with it. That would really suck since it was a house warming gift. I did mention this to the supplier and they will look into it. Never heard back. LOL! Didn't expect them to get back though.

The seller has failed to email me back regarding this big problem. The refrigerator pictured has been misrepresented. Many of us have to rely on exact measurements in order for these type of appliances to fit into our homes. I called your company before buying this and no one could tell me anything about the model so I had to rely on the specifications for this model. The refrigerator delivered will not fit into the space I have and is worthless. I printed out the specifications and measured the space before buying this so it is not my fault. The delivery men knocked off my wall thermostat when they brought it into the house and then left. We carefully measured the refrigerator you delivered and it has a cabinet height of 68 inches and that does not include the wheels. If I had been there I would have refused the refrigerator since it does not have the 66-67inch tall cabinet I ordered and I was not the person who signed for delivery of this refrigerator. Here it is March 2013 and I am still waiting for some resolution to this problem. I got a bill again shall I send you mine. I told you to come pick it up last year I cant use it without renovating my cabinets and do I need to sue both Gerhards and the moving company for the damages you did moving it in? Do not buy these appliances the customer service is almost as bad as eBay.
GE Profile PSB42YSXSS 42 Builtin SidebySide Refrigerator with 252 cu ft Capacity 4 Glass Shelves ClimateKeeper System Gallon Door Storage and External Electronic IceWater Dispenser Stainless Steel

GE - PSB42YSXSS
I purchased this model because my kitchen designer limited my options for a built-in by assuming I was going with a high-end Viking or Sub-Zero. Not wanted to spend $10K or more, I opted for this GE Profile, which got better reviews that the GE Monogram. I have been very displeased with this purchase. The doors are VERY difficult to open on both the refrigerator and the freezer. GE told me that once the doors had food in them, they would be fine....? They're not fine. Then, after six months of use, both the refrigerator and freezer just stopped working. Finally, for a 42", it's got a very small interior. I understand that counter depth refrigerators have less room, but this is small. I suggest that anyone considering this refrigerator really consider the cost, reliability and size before purchasing this model. It's just not worth the money.
Do yourself a great favor and read the innumerable complaints in the internet about GE refrigerators and other GE appliances before considering buying anything made by GE. I wish I had done it before buying an expensive GE refrigerator.
You will be horrified by the massive number of complaints about malfunctioning GE refrigerators and other GE appliances reported and stunned at the lack of responsibility, concern and contempt displayed by GE.
Two weeks ago the expensive GE refrigerator we purchased a few years ago quit cooling. So far we have had three GE technicians come for service and every time we call GE service, we have to wait another week for a technician to come. The first two technicians stated that there was nothing wrong with the compressor and replaced the same 'problem' board. Additionally, both technicians claimed that the refrigerator was fixed at the end of their service visit. The refrigerator is still not cooling.
Today a third GE technician came (it is always a different person) and this time the compressor was blamed for the problem. Obviously there is a lot of guess work going on here.
This last technician credited the $340 we paid originally, but now the bill has increased to $518 to replace the compressor. Supposedly they have to order the parts and we will be without a refrigerator for another 2 weeks.
Judging by the terrible reports from the countless dissatisfied and frustrated GE consumers, I am bracing myself for a long struggle with this abusive giant.
Ironically, my inexpensive 25 year old Kenmore refrigerator in the garage has never been serviced and is still working like a charm. If getting what you pay for is important to you, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING MADE BY GE!!!
We purchased a Monogram 42 inch side by side stainless steel and I love it. I haven't had a problem with it at all. It was custom ordered and we paid big bucks for it. 27 x 42 x 84 inches. With 7 kids always opening and closing it all the time, it always stays cold and still has all I need and then some. I have had other GE fridges, stoves, ovens and Microwaves and haven't had one bit of problems with any of them. We are for sure a GE family and we love them. Sorry you had trouble with yours but don't sour yourself on them all. They make good products.
I second these reviews. The storage on the refrigerator side is very, very small. Also the shelves are hardly adjustable. The milk bin has to be placed in the middle limiting the options of moving the other bins around or buying extra ones. The same goes for the shelves inside the refrigerator. Since milk bin is sort of fixed, the shelves are not really adjustable by much.
Also, the freezes makes weird noises one the door closes.
Energy efficient thermoelectric non-compressor system with auto-defrost
Soft touch controls with electronic display and panel lock feature
Adjustable thermostat for ideal temperature control
Reversible thermopane glass door with integrated handle
Slide-out chrome shelves-each holds three 2-liter bottles (not included)
I own a wine store and in the last 9 months three of these wine refrigerators have stopped working on us. I will not even take a free replacement at this point.
My Avanti dual zone wine chiller has died within days of the 1 year warranty (I may be a few days over the warranty at most as I ordered it in November of 2008 and received it in late Nov/early Dec, and it has died in mid November 2009). I called Avanti and they refuse to honor the warranty because the PURCHASE DATE was 11/05/08 and it is now mid November 2009. I didn't even get 1 year of use out of it before it began chilling to the point of building up ice in the larger/lower zone. This zone was for my reds and was kept near room temp, yet that is the zone that has decided I would like my wines nearly frozen with the temperature set at 66 F. I do not recommend purchasing this brand as the customer service people have told me they will not honor the warranty.
My unit stopped working after a year and a half. The Avanti service department is rude and can offer no help. If the 1 year warranty has expired your out of luck. You get what you pay for. Stay away from ths poduct.
Pros: Dual zone cooler; 18 bottles is a good capacity for a small cooler; digital temperature display; priced in between the really expensive and really cheap coolers.
Cons: Fan runs constantly; no door handle, pull on the edge of the door to open; temperature varies slightly; interior light is useless in the lower compartment.
My cooler has been running for 1 week, so I can't comment on the long-term reliability issues expressed in other reviews. Time will tell. The Avanti was the right size and capacity for where I wanted to put a wine cooler. It looks classy, has digital temperature control and was in my price range. I had expected this cooler to work like the refrigerator in your kitchen, which cycles on and off to maintain temperature. The fan is quieter than a regular refrigerator, but it is always on. As for temperature stability, the temperature in both compartments varies by a degree. I have the temperature in the upper zone set 1 degree lower than my target temperature because the zone temperature seems to spend more time at 1 degree above the setting than at the set temperature. And some kind of door handle would have been nice. It's a little awkward pulling on the edge of the door to open it.
Knowing what I know now, I would have opted to spend more and get a cooler that is more like a small refrigerator.
July 11, 2010 Update: I've had this cooler for about 5 months now. I am finding that the temperature controls do not work after the unit has been on for a couple of hours. To get access to change the temperature settings, I have to unplug the unit and start over. I am also finding the upper compartment temperature is off by as much as 10 degrees from what I have set. That means that, even though I've set it for 48, it is showing 58.
This cooler is alright if you don't have more to spend for a wine cooler. I plan to sell this one and buy a better one.

I've had the misfortune of having two of these coolers. After the first one failed within a year, the second one also failed short of a year. The bottom part, where you keep your red wines, completely failed on both units.
Calling "Customer service" was a joke. I ended up hanging up on them. They refused to accept back the unit or send a technician to service it.
The only reason I gave this product one star is that zero stars was not an option. You are better off buying a tray of ice cubes than this cooler.

Just bought this refrigerator to replace a 20 year old 21.7 cu ft GE. Our choice was limited by the size of cabinet opening to this Haier or numerous other smaller capacity (18 cu ft) models. Wasn't familiar with the brand. This is a basic, traditional top freezer model with really no bells or whistles which is fine less to go wrong. In researching for this purchase, it's apparent that all refrigerators these days are prone to problems and don't have a long life expectancy. Check it out all brands. This Haier may be the same, but it is assembled in North Carolina in a new plant and at around $500, I won't feel as bad if it dies in five years as I would if I'd paid $750 or $1000 for another brand. Materials and construction are as good or better than other brands we looked at and so far just a few weeks it's working fine. The refrigerator layout is good and has adjustable shelves. Freezer has a wire shelf that sits on legs on the freezer floor. It is adjustable left to right so you can collapse the shelf to half width and fit in a large turkey or whatever. That's a good idea, but there is something in the execution that needs improvement.
We also purchased the ice maker for about $60 which was easy to install. We also happened to get $50 for recycling the old refrigerator and $75 from Energy Star program so that took $125 off our total outlay.
Bottom line: Inexpensive, functional, works fine (so far), assembled in USA,recommended.
Easy installation, no driver required, plug & play
Stylized as a mini fridge , 4-foot cable It looks cool on any desktop
Internal LED Light , red box
Powered by USB cable with a switch to a USB port located on your PC prior, no batteries required
Dimension: 19.5*8.3*9.4CM
The product cools the beverage by having a cold zone on the bottom. It doesn't keep the entire beverage cold but helps keep it cool. It is a little awkward to get the can in/out of the cooler but overall it's a neat concept and fits well on a desk next to my keyboard.
There is absolutely no insulation and is s tight fit for one soda can. I did not use because I was hoping it would fit my mug which is just a little bigger than a soda can. Price was too low to pay postage to return.
After looking at prices for the LG brand name replacements, I decided to take a shot at a generic filter. They seem to work fine, the only slight issue I have is that the filter doesn't seem as tight a fit as the original one did. It does NOT leak however, and seems to be working fine so far. I would recomment this product.
these are so inexpensive! I was worried that they would taste bad or not fit in my refrigerator but they fit fin and the water tastes just like any other filter I have purchased.
I needed a replacement for my filter for the fridge, the original LG filter costs somewhere around $60, this aqua-fresh replacement has 3 filter for around $45, a great deal, and a great product. definitely recommended

It takes a lot to get me to take the time to write a review, but this deserves it. I generally have terrible luck, and avoid "too good to be true" moments. We really needed a fridge filter, though, as the fridge water tasted worse than the tap water. It had been a long time since we changed the filter.
I thought for sure I was going to find this was a typo or something, and end up with one filter, or the wrong kind. However, I got the box, and it had 3 filters, and they fit perfectly. Even including shipping (I payed for the 3-5 shipping, but I was pleasantly surprised to see it show up in 2!) I payed less than I would have had I bought a single filter from anywhere else I looked. My water is so much better. No more funky taste, and no funny gurgling sound when the ice maker runs. It fits, it works, and I didn't pay a fortune. I would definitely buy these again.
I use these in my fridge at work. Works in most Fridgedaire units. Usually located at the back of the top shelf of the fridge. Just unscrew the housing, pop out the old filer and pop in the new.
Works as good as the original. I hope it lasts as long as the brand name water filters. So far so good.
We do not drink our tap water! These filters work exceptionally well and are so much more affordable than anywhere else we have looked or purchased! Now, we really can replace them every six months, as recommended. Easy to install in fridge, and our water tastes great!
I bought his 2 years and 4 days ago. All was well until 7 weeks ago. Since then I have had to have 4 repairmen out to fix 3 different problems, to the tune of almost $1000 in repairs. Needless to say, it is a HUGE hassle to have to "be home between 1-5pm" every few days. Repair men were at my house 3 times in just the past 7 days. Today it defrosted all over my new hardwood floor, pouring about a quart of water all over everything.
I am writing GE to ask for a replacement as a $1700 appliance should last more than 2 years. I have a 20 year old fridge in my garage that runs great!
I would look to another brand.
Oh, one more thing, every repairman has told me that they have nothing but trouble with GE! Hey, GE, get a clue!
We have this fridge. It has great features-alarm, water filter, temp setting ability and it fit the space we had. However, the major design flaw is that the freezer breaks its seal when the fridge door slams and then the freezer thaws. You actually have to hold the freezer door shut as you shut the fridge door. It's embarassing! This fridge requires more care and attention than our aging cats! I'm ready to stick it in the garage and buy something new-and it's only been a year.
Not sure about the freezer sealing issue the "vine member" had, but this model has been wonderful for my family. I kinda love it really.
The box store delivery guys were nervous that it wouldn't fit in the 36" wide space, but this is a square fridge. No rounded sides or bowing, so she slid right into place. She is not counter depth though. Its over by about 4" at 31", minus the handles. The sides are grey so it does not scream at you like most fridges do when they stick out. So the specs listed are correct and pretty exact.
Gallon sized containers fit in the door, which we LOVE. Compartments are perfect for all the fresh veggies we buy at the farmers market on sundays. Freezer is spacious, but the compartments do not all adjust. Not a big deal, but would have been nice to move them around like you can with the fridge side. Love the cubed or crushed ice. Water dispenses cold every time, unless you do a huge jug.
Only negative is the stainless steel is not the fingerprint proof kind. I wish I had purchased one that didn't need to be cleaned so often. The stainless does look amazing though, so its worth it.
Over all, I would buy this fridge again (so far) and I would recommend it to a friend.
