Whirlpool 2223320 Track for Refrigerator

One of my tracks broke at the front end due to fatigue from the open drawer hanging on it. I discovered that the left and right bracket are the same, so I swapped them. Now the broken part of one track is at the rear where it doesn't matter. A little black ABS cement from your local hardware store will work to glue the broken piece back on (tracks are ABS, not PVC, and white ABS glue cannot be found). I avoided having to buy a new track for the time being and the drawer slides just fine. While researching for a replacement, I found Amazon is the best price I could find.

The vendor did a wonderful job shipping as soon as I ordered. Much faster than another company that claimed the product was in-stock but in fact waited over 8 weeks to get it from a distributor.

These tracks did not fit directly in my refrigerator. They have extra round knobs on each end that get in the way. After I sawed and filed those down, they fit perfectly. Apparently Whirlpool has changed the design of some components and not others. Now the track fits and holds the drawer securely.

The appearance of this fridge is excellent. The stainless look on the sides was a deciding factor in our selection of this fridge and it looks great. The ice/water in door operation is good. When you open the doors the light gently comes on which is a neat touch. So far our food is kept cool and frozen in the respective areas as appropriate. The drawers don't glide as smoothly as they should, but are acceptable.

The one major problem is that this refrigerator makes a high pitched whine constantly when the compressor is running (which is most of the time). We would have chosen another fridge if we'd known about this beforehand. This is not just your typical compressor noise that most refrigerators make. This is that typical noise plus a high pitched noise that we find very irritating.

This is very disappointing since our two previous Frigidaire refigerators worked so well in every respect.

Based on the high pitched noise that this fridge makes I could not recommend this product.

I like this fridge, but I am having a hard time forgiving the engineers for the DUMB, DUMB "temp" button on the LED display which shoudl read OFF not temp and not even be there. THIS is an ALL OFF button above the water fill button. We lost ALL of our food the day after thanksgiving because an unwitting guest turned off the fridge (who knows?) . It is easy to hit while holding the door open for 3 seconds. The only indication after a discreet chime is 9 point font says "cooling off" but the LED display Is still on, leading you to believe the frige is actually on. Sometimes less is more, that's why they have plugs, there should be at least three screens and you turning off the fridge and the freezer.

I received this refrigerator in a timely manner. When assembling, I followed instructions closely, but the door was not staying closed. After troubleshooting (according to the manual), we found that there was an improper part on the unit which caused it to stand up lopsided. I rectified the situation by slipping a folded up paper plate underneath which works fine for now. It works well/cools well as a fridge, but when I called customer service to have the improper part replaced, they asked me to send an email. I have sent 3 total now, to no avail. This was 2 months ago.For this reason, I cannot recommend this product.

We like the refrigerator very much. We bought this particular refrigerator because it was the only one with a Gallon Door Bin. However, the Gallon Door Bin is NONFUNCTIONAL as it does NOT stay attached to the door when you open the door. The result is that the Gallon Door Bin falls to the floor along with the gallon of milk, etc. Haier could have done much better with a wire assembly like the Dispense-A-Can compartment in the door above the Gallon Door Bin. Other small refrigerators on the market have a wire assembly to hold a gallon of milk, and we would have bought one of them had we known of this problem. UPS delivered the refrigerator upside down but in good shape. Removing the top hinge cover without doing damage in order to reverse the door hinge was a little difficult but possible without instructions, and the top of the refrigerator below where the top hinge had been was a little dented and chipped. NONE of the problems in the reviews I read prior to ordering pertain to our little refrigerator. It arrived undamaged in a very timely fashion, it cools, it is not noisy, it looks nice in our laundry room, and it works perfectly for its intended use as a refrigerator to be used by a 37 year old son who has returned home due the difficult economy. We took care to let the refrigerator sit upright for 24 hours as per the instructions before plugging it in. This would have been a "5 Star" rating but for the problem with the Gallon Door Bin which we are unable to use.

Cuisinart HM-50 Power Advantage 5-Speed Hand Mixer

I own the Cuisinart Power Advantage 5-Speed Handheld Mixer since early April 2009 and I am quiet happy with it thus far. In all fairness, this is my second handheld mixer and my previous mixer (Proctor Silex 62535 Bowl Rest 5-Speed Mixer, White) was a very weak mixer, which simply did not have the power to mix any semi-thick dough. This Cuisinart mixer has significantly more power (220 Watts) and has little trouble mixing most dough, excluding bread dough of course. This mixer has an automatic feedback mechanism which was the main reason I decided to purchase it. Unlike most mixers which supply their motors with different electric powers at different settings, this mixer supplies electric power partially based on the mixing speeds. In other words, it will supply an extra burst of power to the motor when the mixing speed is slow, like mixing tough dough. It only does so temporarily to avoid over heating the motor. It has five speed settings, which is exactly what I want. For those who like additional speed settings, there is the Cuisinart HM-70 Power Advantage 7-Speed Hand Mixer, Stainless and White. Keep in mind, their top speeds are the same as they are both powered by a 220 Watts motor. In my opinion, the slow speed setting of this mixer is a bit too fast. Beside the power, the mixer has three other features which I like a lot. First, it can sit nicely on a mixing bowl (when the power is off). Second, the power cord can swing left or right to allow the unit to securely sit upright. I have uploaded two customer images to illustrate this. Third, the beaters are easy to clean. Finally, the beaters can be effortlessly ejected by using the level. Looking at the photo, you may think this mixer has a semi-dull black. In summary, this is a powerful and affordable handheld mixer (not powerful compared to stand mixers)

I do have one compliant. Years ago, customers were able to take their home appliances apart to fix them. Unfortunately, this mixer is not one of those. Cuisinart have sealed off the screw holes and prevented customers from opening up the mixer. My mixer was making some scratchy noises and I could tell it just needed some machine oil/lubrication. Instead of taking the unit apart and adding oil, I had no choice but to pour the oil from outside through the exhaust fan hole, hoping it will get to the place. It did somewhat, and now the noise has been minimized. However, it should have been more straightforward than this.

I still think this is a very nice mixer for its utility and affordable price, and I would still strongly recommend other potential buyers to consider it. However, it would have been nicer if the screw holes are not sealed.

*Update on late Nov 2009*: The mixer is still working fine -bought it since April 2009. The scratchy metal noise has not come back for some time. By the way, I use this mixer about 3 times per month for cookies and pastries. I hope this illustrates how often this mixer is being used. I am very satisfied with the product thus far.

I got this mixer after my old one died. I dislike the "low" speed as it is almost as fast as my old mixer's high speed! For me, the purpose of a hand mixer is to mix light products, such as puddings and cakes and things that require more than a whisk. A low speed is needed to start out, and there is no low speed on this model. This is a major drawback as far as I am concerned. Aside from that, it is a lovely mixer, but not completely useful!

Bought this Cuisinart HM-50 Power Advantage 5-Speed Hand Mixer after another from a different manufacturer had conked out, even after simple light use. Decided then to go for a quality replacement, and haven't regretted this choice at all, plus it's quite handy... get it?

Bad pun aside, this kitchen appliance is a favorite, and has had a lot of use. Have found its five speeds to be quite adequate, and its 220-Watt motor to be up to the task. If you want more power and a greater range of speeds, there is the Cuisinart HM-70 Power Advantage 7-Speed Hand Mixer, which is also highly rated.

This handy (here we go again) appliance easily mixes even heavier ingredients than one might expect, and the one-touch slide control changes speeds easily. The supplied extra-long beaters (more on these in a moment) eject easily, and clean up quite well in a dishwasher, as should be expected.

Like larger stands mixers, there are a few (handy) accessories and implements available, such as the versatile CHM-WSK Chef's Whisk, great for making whipped cream, and the CHM-DH Set of 2 Dough Hooks. But of special note, must state that I also purchased an extra HTM-BTR-357 Beater Set.

This beater set wasn't bought as a replacement of the originals, but because they are quite multipurpose. I ordered the second pair, for the sole purpose of mixing paints, and they do a splendid job.

Who said that a (handy) kitchen tool can't be multipurpose? This is a 5-star choice for sure.

I have had a lot of hand mixers over my life and I would call myself a happy senior citizen now, but the Cuisinart HM-50BK hand mixer is the best ever! I really like the beaters. They don't have the center bar and it whips things up before you know it. It is very powerful, too. It whips up thick cookie dough with no problem.

The Amana replacement icemaker water valve was/is advertised as a "universal" replacement for the manufacturer's original equipment. The replacement, however, has different water line fitting connections. This required substituting parts from the old valve to make the new valve operable. Fortunately, the old valve failed due to electronics. Took the old one out, new one in without changing anything. Shipped on time and arrived on time with no damage to product.

Fixed the ice maker no fill problem. Factory part fit perfectly so repair was easy. The original part was color coded to the electrical connectors to keep ice maker filling and drinking water dispenser connected properly to the correct valve. This repair part does not have the color coding but if you are at all careful removing the old part this is not a problem. That's the only think to watch out for.

Frigidaire 241803701 Water Valve for Refrigerator

Very suprised to find this valve made in China! This company claims "genuine Frigidarire product" however the original valve that I removed was made by Invensys and is a product of Mexico. First apperance of the Invensys valve seems to be of much higher quality. Its larger and has threaded water line connectors as opposed to the Chineese version that has push on water connecter. These lines are under pressure and may violate some local building codes because water pressure may force these lines back out. I may have saved $15-$20 for this valve but if known it was of Chineese origin I would have bought the original product made under Figidaire control. I view this as a counterfit product and all products sold on line should be labeled with country of origin.
