So far, I have tried two of these units. The first one did not cool at all, and the second one stablizes at a temperature about 10-degrees off from the selected temperature. That is not acceptable for the wine temperature control that I had hoped to have with this device.

Takes 55 minutes to get from room temperature to 48 degrees(according to light on the unit) which is really 58 in this reality matrix. Disappointing!

This replacement cartridge is very easy to use. I mounted the unit to the back wall beneath the sink so it was out of the way. This has made it more difficult to service. So to have a replacement cartridge that is easy to replace without extra effort is a blessing.

The filter also does a great job of making our water taste much better; the chlorine flavor is gone.

I remodeled my kitchen a few years ago and put in an instant hot water faucet (which i love) by the sink. It was recommended to me to install a water filter between the water source and the heater tank, so I got a Whirlpool kit. This is the replacement filter. All I have to do is shut of the switch at the top, unscrew the old filter, screw in the new one, and flip the shut-off switch. Very easy. I only have to change the filter about every 10 months or so, and they're not expensive.

This hasn't done a good job. It leaves a funky taste in the ice cubes. We're planning to replace it with another one

to see how it goes. Looking at factory replacement, otherwise we didn't like it at all.

Purchased this from Brandsmnart on 12/7/10. On 12/7/11 unit defrosted and lost all my food! Good thing I bought the extended warranty. Just FYI for those of you thinking about this unit. I even had it delivered and set up so as it sat in my garage, they couldn't say I caused breakdown. Wish I would have gone with better name brand. Oh well, you get what you pay for. Lets see if they can fix it now or else give me a new one. On the up side, when it worked, it was great for storing large bags of ice for parties as well as big racks of ribs and other meats. Never ran out of room with this monster.

Thermostat is constantly going on the fritz and freezing my veggies. Had to replace thermostat 3 times in 3 years! Freezer door seal pops open easily when the fridge door is closed or sometimes for no reason at all. The drawers chipped in the first few weeks so it is impossible to easily pull open produce drawers.

Unfortunately, as soon as I took it out of the box, I noticed that one of the rear vents was damaged. It looked as if someone took a hammer to it!! The box itself is not damaged, nor is the styrofoam that surrounded the product in the box. This means, it was damaged before they ever shipped it! How in the world do they not see the entire side having dents...and I mean...really noticeable dents... BEFORE they send it to the buyer??!! I requested a replacement and/or refund to cover the repair costs so let's see how their customer service is. Hopefully they get it right this time. I was so excited for it. Now it has just become a hassle to deal with.... A couple statements regarding the product itself...the frame is made of a rather light metal...you can literally press the vent itself with your finger and reshape the inlets. The drawers are a bit narrow. I can only fit 2 bottles on 3 of the 5 shelves in the red-wine section of the cooler. The unit itself looks nice though. It fits well in the apartment, and has a nice contemporary look to it.

I had two problems with this unit.

1) The manufacturer's packaging is inadequate for shipping (not Amazon's fault). I received two units (the second a replacement for the first), both were damaged in transit, and both have been returned. The first, the glass door was shattered, I suspect because the shelves were not well anchored inside (ironically, the manufacturer's handbook warns against shipping with loose shelves they should take their own advice). The second had a large dent in the door frame the package is simply not sturdy enough to offer adequate protection.

2) So, if you are lucky enough to get an undamaged one, is it a good product? I tried out the second one I received might have lived with the dent if I'd been satisfied. I found that although it certainly chills adequately, the fan runs continuously and generates more noise than I would care to live with.

I ultimately wound up buying an equivalent Kenwood unit, which is proving to be excellent and quiet!

My wife purchased an avanti cooler for my birthday 18 months ago. It was a bit noisy but worked. However, it stopped working so we called because it came with a two year warranty. However, when you call the company they say it isn't under warranty and wish you luck. Then when you call back to point out that they are not being truthful they tell you that will cover the compressor if you go to an authorized repair facility. However, that results in an estimate of $250 to put the free compressor if you take it to them. So save yourself a lot of agrevation and BS and avoid avanti. BEWARE

Have used the product before; liked it and ordered another. Came in looking like a forklift had hit it. Had to pay the return shipping, and a month later I still have no product. Had I known this I would have paid a few extra bucks and bought local. I will submit another review/retraction if/when this is ever resolved.

Worked well for two years then died. Very good temperature control and sound level when it worked -even more quiet now. I would not buy another Avanti product because of the poor reliability of this one. I checked the manual and it indicates that if the power doesn't come on to check my circuit breaker. I plugged another wine cooler into the same circuit and it works fine.

I've been searching high and low for a really cool soda machine for my kitchen! I saw this one and decided to purchase it. After using it for about 4 weeks, I noticed there was a lot of water standing in the bottom of the machine. I contacted the company and they assured me this was normal. I made the wrong decision to go ahead and keep the machine.

It has only been a few short weeks since then and now the machine don't work at all! It has stayed plugged in and not moved around, it's not been mistreated in any way. It was working fine one day, then the next it just completely stopped. My window for returns is closed now so what do I do? I am stuck with a $200 machine that I enjoyed for just a few weeks. I've had this machine for about 3 years and it's still going strong. Let me give you the pros and cons of the machine

PROS

Holds 12 cans of soft drinks. Before I got it, I only expected it to have 6. But it decided to surprise me by adding another space right behind the one visible in the door.

It has a built-in refrigerating system to keep all of the drinks nice and cool.

The hardware is very sturdy. I weigh a lot and this machine still has enough strength to support me, though I don't do it very often.

Nice old-fashioned design. It looks like drink machines did in the 60s.

It's small enough to fit in compact places. This can be very useful when you don't have a lot space to spare :)

CONS

Coolness cannot withstand outdoor heat. I tried selling drinks at a garage sale only to find that the drinks were moderately cold. If you plan on using this machine outdoors during the summer, I don't recommend this machine

No money slot. This is more of a gripe than a con, but it would be more convenient if the manufacturer had slapped a money slot into this thing.

Overall, great machine. If you plan on buying it for indoor use, go for it.

This is by far the coolest thing ie bought in awhile. It works as described and keeps the soda extremely cold. I get man compliments regarding this in my "movie theatre" basement. The only downside is the lack of a light inside. It would be cool if it lit up like other soda machines so that you could see the choices better in a dim,Ed environmen. But other than that..get it :)

I bought this for my son's "boy cave" and he loves it. Every time a friend comes over they comment on how cool it is and how they wish they could get one. It keeps the cans cold enough to enjoy. There is a bit of noise to the motor but not a big deal.

Customer service is horrible on these units stay away. We have had problem after problem getting the trim kits ordered correctly, often taking 10 or more phone calls for every one returned. And we still can't get the information we need. Should have gone a different way!!

I have had this refrigerator for less than a year and it has gone out three times, have lost so much food. Repairman put it in for replacement and I called the company to confirm it would be submitted, they assured me it would be resolved in 2 to 3 days... here I sit almost three weeks later, four phone calls, first file had accidently been closed, next they said I had not yet sent repair envoice, which had been sent a week and a half before, lo and behold they found it. Spoke with supervisor who said she would personally take care of things and call me next business day and nothing when I call she is busy on another line. Worst customer service I have ever seen. I should have gotten the sub zero, electrolux is awful.
