This is my second module in the last 2 years. Made in Brazil. You would think that this would last longer than two years. I bought the first module from Allvikingparts.com which is more expensive than Amazon. I would pay twice as much, if it would last at least 10 years. However,l it's an easy install and now I can use the one burner where the igniter kept clicking away. Nice to have it working again, now all i have to do if fix the two year old griddle switch! Ugh...Viking stove's crappy parts!

Module came in on time and I installed it myself, took about 45 minutes. I had been given an estimate by a local repair company of $275.00, part and labor. I paid $ 70 (incl. shipping) for my brand new part. I called part suppliers around the country and with their help determined the part that I needed, I actually gave the part number to the local repair place.

Anyway, you have to make sure you mark the wiring and put it back exactly as it is supposed to go. Fairly simple to do if you are mechanically inclined. Saved $205.00 and my Viking cook top with griddle works like new!

We've had this model for 7 years. Will replace it with a CEE Tier-3 in a kitchen remodel because it doesn't appear to be energy-star, let alone CEE Tiers 1-3. If energy efficiency is not an issue, it's been totally reliable, with plenty of room for pitchers of water, milk, OJ, soymilk, weekly supply of fresh veggies, and the weekly leftovers. Lots of door storage. Freezer handles pizza boxes easily. I did remove all the clear plastic bins which I found constraining, so we've basically got three open shelves in the fridge where we find everything quickly. I'd keep it if it were counter-depth, but it is 31 5/8 inches deep wi/out handle, 32 7/8 inches wide, & 66 7/8 high. The most efficient refrigerators on the market (side-by-sides) run $1400; better value to pay a bit more and get one of those. The refrigerator is the most energy-consuming appliance in the kitchen.

We purchased a Maytag refrigerator in July of 2012. It quit working in October. Maytag repairman did not have the replacement compressor that was needed. Home Depot brought us another refrigerator 10 days later. That refrigerator worked until the beginning of May 2013 (7 months later). Home Depot brought us another refrigerator 7 days later. We contacted Maytag after we received the new refrigerator and they were not willing to send us any compensation for aggravation or loss of food. Their customer service to say the least is non-responsive. We will never buy another Maytag refrigerator and we tell everyone we know not buy a Maytag refrigerator. Maytag had to know these refrigerators were defective and they should have recalled them. Home Depot Appliance manager told us there were multiple customers who had issues with these refrigerators.

There are many manufactures of appliances and our advice would be not to buy maytag!

I purchased 4 of these units. One ceased to cool within the warranty period and it was fixed under the warranty. It has since gone bad again, and it is for the same reason. It simply fails to hold the coolant. All of these units leak water onto the floor when they go through their defrost cycle. They started this right after the one year warranty. Thankfully, I have them in my garage now, as I could not have them leaking onto the kitchen floor. The instructions state that cleaning coils is not necessary on these units. I thought that perhaps this was the issue with these units, but it is not. They are simply poorly made and inferior. I would not recommend them to anyone. I have not used the ice makers, so I cannot tell you if they work at all, but overall, I would look for any other brand of appliance to purchase than Maytag.

I bought this for our office. It sits about 10 feet from my desk and after about 5 minutes of it being plugged in, I felt like I was in the Bermuda Triangle again, just waiting until I found my home at the bottom of the sea. Shwoooooo. That's what this thing sounds like.

It takes a while to get something cold, and there's always a block of ice in the back of the machine. To my knowledge there isn't a warmer or colder setting, so that seems to be a flaw in manufacturing. Either that or that's just the way they come, I'm not sure.

Anyway, yeah it's loud, but it looks nice and in my line of work it's all about presentation. 4 Stars simply because it does what I need it to without much fuss, and the noise provides a nice ambiance at work. More so than the phones ringing...

I bought this product as a christmas gift for my sister and her boyfriend, and they love it!! If they are happy then I am happy. So it was a job well done, for the price of the product and happiness, it was well worth it. :)

Whirlpool 8003RP 15-Foot Copper Tubing Icemaker Hook Up Kit

I bought this kit to hook up the water line to my new Whirlpool fridge. This kit is made by Whirlpool and its the one recommended by them. The instructions say "drill a hole in a vertical cold water pipe" in your home. The next step says to "insert the pilot tube on the saddle valve into the hole". There is an illustration showing the "pilot tube" inserted in the pipe to make a watertight connection. The only problem is there is no "pilot tube" on the valve supplied with the kit. The valve that comes with the kit bears no resemblance to the valve described and PICTURED in the installation instructions. Somehow Whirlpool or whoever they hired is packaging these kits with the wrong valves. The kit is useless without the correct valve. I called Whirlpool and they were no helpthey don't seem to care. Hopefully Amazon will do the right thing and refund my money.

I ordered this lint screen because the original one needed replacing. The photo looks NOTHING like the product I received and after using it two or three times it started falling apart. I had to basically put it back together to use it until I found another replacement. The items was shipped to me quickly and the price was comparable with other items but it was basically a "bait and switch" and I am not happy about that.

Although this is listed as a Roper Lint Screen, it is a perfect fit for my Maytag. The OEM filter is a real POS with felt around the edge. The felt pulls out of the plastic and it becomes partially functional filter. This filter has a better design and works very well. I didn't receive my filter in the mail ,after a week and and a half, so this seller rushed a replacement filter. Customer service at it's finest. A joy to do business with.

It fits the Whirlpool Duet dryer perfectly. I think it is a better quality than the OEM and catches more lint.

How do you rate a lint screen ? It works. It's basically screen on a plastic frame that replaces the cheap piece of junk installed in the original dryer. It shipped quickly, although the shipping charge seemed a bit steep.

Whirlpool W10190961 Icemaker for Refrigerator

For those of you wondering, this is a real Whirlpool factory certified part. It arrived in a Whirlpool box, and taking the gear cover off reveals the FSP (Factory Specification Part) molded into the plastic. It isn't a Chinese knockoff, which I was worried about, since I also ordered the ice level fill circuit board at the same time and it WASN'T Whirlpool or FSP. Check my other review for that fiasco. In doing more research on these parts, the original Whirlpool or factory replacement icemaker will have a dark gray or greenish ice mold (where the water fills and ice forms). This does have that. The knockoffs will have a white mold instead.

At any rate, I haven't installed this yet, I want to wait to also install the correct ice level circuit board at the same time. Will update my review upon install and confirming this works. But for now, just being a real Whirlpool part earns it five stars.

Update 4/22/13: Installed this today, and within a minute it cycled correctly, making ice cubes later. I now have the "Acceler-ice" function activated to make a full bin of ice as quickly as possible.

Let me start off by saying I hate the taste of municipal water. The chlorine and other tastes make in virtually undrinkable. That's where this filter comes in.

For me, the bad news is that I can't stand forking voer $40 to Sears for the privelige of screwing one of these into the filter port of my refrigerator. In my area, these filters are for some reason difficult to find in Big Box stores. I am not sure why. I have taken a chance before on no-name, unbranded filters from the internet and had good results. However, when I saw these OEM filters at a competitive price, I jumped and have not been disappointed. The water that is filtered through them tastes good (no chlorine or mineral tastes) and there are no leaks--they do precisely what inline water filters are supposed to do.

I did a lot of research when looking for a wine fridge. I needed a specific width to fit in my kitchen, and wanted to stay within a reasonable budget. Well, now I wish I trusted the reviews about this model who warn you that it is super loud. My dishwasher is quieter than this monster! When it turns on I can hear it from my bedroom on another floor!

In addition, the temperature fluctuates a lot (+/5 degrees from what you set it on), which I don't care about much since I don't store expensive wines. But if you do this is something to consider.

I purchased the cooler based on the price and that it would slip in the spot were my trash compactor was.

I did a lot of research trying to find a beverage cooler at a good price. I settled on this one even after reading the

poor reviews and how loud it was. I have only had it a week but I really like it. It looks cool, and it is not that loud.

It can be a little noisy when it is cycling but not enough to be a deal breaker. I use mine as a built in, enclosed in cherry cabinets and

covered with granite, so it hides down on the noise. If you use it as a free standing cooler than maybe it might be loud?

I waited 24 hours before plugging in. That gives time for the oil to settle, and wont mess the compressor up if it

was shipped on its side. Temp goes as low as 40 degrees where mine is set. My temperature reading has a consistent

reading of 41-43 degrees which is perfect for beer and everything else.. So far so good. Im not sure about the longevity

of the cooler or how consistent the temp will stay. For the price you can't beat it. If your using this as a built in piece

don't worry about the noise, If you want a perfectly quiet one be ready to plunk down twice the money. Just make sure you let it stand

for 24 hours before plugging in this will greatly reduce chances of a noisy and dysfunctional cooler.

Bought the vt-32 beverage fridge to hold beer and sodas as a built-in solution in our kitchen. Unit worked well initially it looks sharp and was always a great point of conversation at parties. That initial love affair ended quickly though as the unit had trouble keeping the right temperature. After about six months the unit got even louder when cycling on and has now failed 18 months after purchase. Warranty is only 12 months so I'm out $500+ and left with warm brews. Not good! I will now be looking for another brand with a better warranty.

About 2 years ago I purchased yet another microwave to replace our broken one. We don't have much luck with microwaves for some reason. So this past time I got smart and bought a squaretrade warranty for peace of mind. Of course, out of nowhere, this microwave decided to start sparking and became useless after only 2 years (Sharp brand). At first, I forgot I even purchased the warranty.
