6" Scale Inhibitor & Carbon Filter w/ 1/4"QC Straight Connection

6' Scale Inhibitor & Carbon Filter w/ 1/4'QC Straight ConnectionWhen they call this filter a "scale inhibitor," they use the term "inhibitor" with the same liberality that Catholics deem the rhythm method as reliable birth control. In other words, don't expect much scale to be inhibited.

This filter is ultra affordable and easy to use. Worth the money!

I was supposed to use a different brand, but when I seen this one I thought is give it a shit. Glad I did!

Summit BI605BFF

Summit BI605BFF
  • Manufactured to the Highest Quality Available.
  • Design is stylish and innovative. Satisfaction Ensured.
  • Great Gift Idea.

I bought the white version of this refrigerator, and was very disappointed. It's overpriced, the auto-defrost is not fully automatic, and the refrigerator portion of my unit froze water at the lowest setting. Worst of all, manufacturer Summit / Felix Storch did not honor its one-year warranty, nor refund my money, despite having picked up the unit. It's been 7 months and counting... I recommend either buying a cheap compact refrigerator, or suck it up and buy a normal unit that is frost-free.

Buy Summit BI605BFF Now

My first impression after removing the unit from the carton was "Wow!" I can't believe I paid nearly $900 for this! I'll have to wait to evaluate the performance but the assembly (Mexico) and exterior are sub-standard for a $900 refrigerator. The door is not aligned well with the cabinet. The rails on the door shelves are cheap, flimsy plastic. Three screws on the rear that hold a metal cover plate were stripped due to being over-driven and had to be replaced. The tape that held the door for shipping left a white sticky residue on the cabinet that had to be cleaned with paint thinner. SUMMIT sure gets a lot of money for a fairly average compact refrigerator.

Samsung : DMR57LFS 24 Full Console Dishwasher - Stainless

Samsung : DMR57LFS 24 Full Console Dishwasher - Stainless
  • Twin Cooling Plus System with Surround Air Flow
  • Power Freeze and Power Cool
  • Cool Select Pantry and Cool Tight Doors
  • In-Door Ice and Water Dispenser
  • Wine Rack

When I saw this dishwasher in the store I thought I had found the pot at the end of the rainbow. It was SS inside, electronic, nylon coated racks, EnergyStar and a door that did what it was told (unlike the Bosch that "autoclosed" so hard it broke stemware in the top rack).

My initial problem was that the installer did not level it properly and the door would rub when closed, a sign of an inherently weak "box" structure. Once that was fixed we noticed that it did not clean very well. After three more service calls, adjusting the cycles, amount of detergent, water temperature, loading patterns, etc. the tech. called the factory support and took it thru a built-in diagnostic routine and stated that all was working properly.

I called Samsung service for about the seventh time and eventually they offered to do a like-for-like exchange. I considered that but then remembered that the tech. had declared that the old one was working properly...what would a like-for-like exchange gain me other than more dirty dishes and wasted time? I persisted and eventually got a refund from the store.

I immediately went out and bought a Asko (a brand that has performed very well for us in another home) online that was a new item but a couple of years old. The price was about the same, but the Asko actually...if you can believe it...got the dishes clean (and it took about and hour less than the Samsung and used less energy!).

Several weeks later I went to the store where I returned the Samsung and saw my Samsung dishwasher (white) and another (stainless) for sale, cheap! Samsung has managed to make a dishwasher series that looks good but failed to perform the primary objective...clean dishes.

Too bad they don't give the Zero stars as an option.

If you own the Samsung DMR57LFS then I do not have to tell you that out of the box it is the worst unit you have probably ever used. I was not able to return mine and the Samsung doesn't have great tech support. In fact I never received the extended warranty from Samsung, wonder why!! The dishes stay dirty in the unit and here is how I fixed it. I noticed that the grinder blade was chopping up "some" of the food and sending it back through the pump over my dishes, the blade was also causing a siren sound from scrapping against the pump screen. I removed the blade altogether as I still had food particles even with it installed. I use the Finish Tablets and the Jet Dry. I ran my unit and presto clean dishes. No more food particles being washed back onto my dishes and being "baked on" from the hot water. Just make sure to buy the replacement sump cover gasket as the hot water makes the old one stretch out. Many dishwashers do not have the hard food cutter and now I know why. This worked for me and I am glad I did it. Just remember with the blade in food has to get chopped up and it causes resistance on the pump motor, I do not need to replace a motor, that means taking the unit apart. Also the push buttons do ware away. place a warranty call ASAP and get it replaced before it goes out of warranty, the new one has been upgraded with a coating and will not ware off. The cooking oils take the lettering off because Samsumg either forgot to clear coat them or used a bad dye. Good luck and next time I recommend buying a well known dishwasher brand. I was sold on the stainless tank but it is not worth sacrificing the overall operation.

We purchased the Samsung DMR57LFS dishwasher about 6 months ago and it was the most overpriced and underperforming appliance I've ever seen. It broke down over a month ago and I'm still trying to get it repaired. Samsung service is almost non-existent and they keep running me around and not fixing the problem. If you're thinking about buying one of these DON'T! I couldn't post this without clicking a review star but it's not even worth the one star I was forced to give it.

Want Samsung : DMR57LFS 24 Full Console Dishwasher - Stainless Discount?

I bought this dishwasher and a microwave by Samsung a few years back. Worst decision I ever made. They look nice and seemed to have good features.

The microwave spontaneously caught on fire, and potentially could have burned my house down. The dishwasher is being thrown out after it has broken for about 7 times now. All of the issues mentioned in the previous reviews, sensitive control panel, poor cleaing, etc are all the reality. I will NEVER own another piece of Samsung junk.

Originally purchased in late 2009, so we have some run time on these appliances. This is the worst dishwasher we have ever owned. Looked great and our expectations were high. We've owned Whirlpool, GE, KitchenAid, and Maytag over the years. The Samsung does not get the dishes clean. The rack started deteriorating after two years. The silverware falls through the bottom of the basket and damages the wash arm (cut holes from knives or forks). The rollers constantly come off the racks. We essentially need to rinse the dishes near-clean before putting them into the machine. The refrigerator, oven, and microwave we bought as a package are just as bad. The microwave sounds like it is vibrating to pieces, the dutch door refrigerator has pieces breaking off (especially the freezer), and the actual oven temperature does not match the control setting. I could go on and on. I am so sorry we did not buy a US brand this time. The best dishwasher we owned was a Whirlpool and we are are going back. Do not be lulled into buying Samsung. The US brands like Whirlpool and Maytag, while not as flashy, still work better and last longer.

Water Sentinel WSF-2 Refrigerator Replacement Filter, 3-Pack

Water Sentinel WSF-2 Refrigerator Replacement Filter, 3-PackUp until now I've been using the factory filters that are from $18-$30 each. This order was my first try of the Water Sentinel filters. Had it in there a few days now, no different from those regular filters, taste is great (read: non-existent as it should be...it is just water), price is even better. Give them a try!

I have a feeling the filter industry is like the hdmi cable industry. They don't want you to know that the inexpensive counter part looks and performs the same way. Saves a ton of money and I can't tell the difference in taste.

I was hesitant to purchase this product as a replacement filter because I did not know if it would be as good as the filter that was recommended by Frigidaire. I had been spending twice as much for the Pure Source filter, and came to find out that it is not even manufactured in the United States! After looking into the Water Sentinel website, I decided to give the filter a try. I am happy to say that the Water Sentinel filter performs EXACTLY the same as the manufacturers Pure Source filter. Not only does the water taste and appear crisp and clean, but the cost was half the price. Also, the Water Sentinel filter is made in the USA!

15" Wide Glass Door Beverage Cooler

15' Wide Glass Door Beverage CoolerI purchased this beverage fridge instead of a wine fridge so I could keep beer at 34 degrees... The first month it would keep an entire fridge full at the set 34 degrees. After about a month it can't hardly stay above 42 degrees and it runs CONSTANTLY and it's loud, which I could deal with IF it kept drinks cold. It's an over-priced piece of junk, the only thing it's good for now is a steady noise and increase in energy costs

We remodeled our kitchen and planned a built in beverage refrigerator. We chose the Summit SCR1536 because of size and the fact that it was made for built in installation.

Because this is a beverage refrigerator it was important to me to find a unit that would provide a cold environment for drinks I wasn't looking for a wine cooler. When we first installed the unit (last week in February 2012) we set the thermostate to 34 degrees. Within a short time the unit did in fact cool to 34 degrees. Unfortunately its a very noisy unit.

Now, three weeks later, the temperature fluctuates between 38 and 42 degrees. I called for service and was shocked to find out that this is considered normal. They said that it's impossible to maintain 34 degrees and that running from 38 to 42 degrees is well within what Summit considers "normal" even if I've set the thermostate to 34. Asked what the room temperature was I told them the kitchen was 77 degrees. I was told that too can be a problem since the unit will work best in a room under 70 degrees. (I have a junkie old mini-fridge in my garage that keeps drinks at 34 degrees and I live in Texas where the garage can get over 100 degrees during the day!!)

I can live with the noise although it's very disappointing but I'm buying a refrigerator to keep my drinks cold. The marketing material states that the unit has "Electronic controls for precise temperature management." Controls that run from 34 degrees to 43 degrees. I can tell you that the temperature controls are anything but "precise" and that this is considered "normal" by Summit.

The bottom line is that as nice as the unit looks, it was not a good choice and I would NOT recommend this product.

I haven't had mine but a little over a week but I am happy with its performance. It has never been too loud for me freestanding in my open floor plan with all wood floors. The fridge is advertised as a built in but looks nice in my place freestanding against a wall. The outer case is black metal and perfect for a magnetic bottle opener.

The construction seems very solid and you can hold quite a large number of bottles. I am using it as a beer fridge and unfortunately given the configuration I only have one shelf where the standard long neck bottles will stand up--the other shelves are slightly too close together. This bottle issue is the only reason that I'm not giving it 5 stars. I am able to stand up about 18 cans on the upper level, a case of standard 12oz bottles on the 2nd shelf, and 8 22oz bombers/750 ML corked bottles for cellaring laying down on the shelves below that. You can't quite fit a case of cans on the top shelf because of the cooling equipment in the back that takes up some of the shelf space.

I also like how you can pull each shelf out a few inches and it will stop so you can get to beverages farther back on the shelf. That is a handy tool. I have found the thermostat to be quite accurate, although I haven't put it down as low as 34 degrees. At 39 my beer was plenty cold. I never have had any freezing of the cans/bottles on the back shelves either. Cooling seems to be pretty uniform. Adjustable shelves are sturdy enough to handle the case of bottles with no problem. The shelving positions allow for flexibility. Great, professional looking fridge, I'm very happy with it. Even though it is only 15" wide, the depth of over 22" gives you plenty of room to store your cold bevvies.

This unit worked great for the first month. Kept beer at 34 degrees no problem. Then the back of the unit froze up and the temperature rose. Defrosted the unit, started up again and was able to maintain 34 degrees for about the same amount of time until it froze up again. After the third time I called the company because I was still under warranty and they told me this was normal behavior. That I shouldn't expect the unit to maintain 34 degrees. I explained that it had no problem doing it for the previous 30 days and then one day it stopped. I finally got the guy to agree to send somebody out to look at it but it started working again. Also he told me I was going to be charged for the service call if they determined nothing was wrong with the unit. After it started up again, I adjusted the temperature to 36 degrees and it ran like that for about a year. About a month ago I looked over and it was at 38 degrees and making a loud noise. I adjusted the thermostat to 38 degrees to see if it would cycle but after setting it to 38 degrees the temperature display immediatley jumped to 40 degrees. No matter where I set it it would immediatley display two degrees higher. The thermostat must be broken. Now I have it set to 37 degrees and the unit goes through periods of operating very loudly and for the first time in over a week it got down to 39 degrees, but I have seen it as high as 46 degrees. I also noticed a sweet powdery smell in the room the last couple of days and am wondering if the coolant is leaking out. I wouldn't buy anything from this company again. There customer service was a joke. The guy I spoke to on the phone couldn't be less interested in the temperature of my beer. Keeping beer cold is a serious responsibility and I felt he could of taken his job a little more seriously.

I do have the matching wine fridge as well and side by side they do look nice in our wet bar, but the noise of this unit and it's inability to keep drinks cold fetch it only two stars. I'd keep looking.

The wine fridge on the other hand has been solid and quiet, though it only needs to cool to 57 degrees.

I just received this beverage center for a small bar I'm building for my basement. I purchased it with the matching wine cooler and was very impressed initially with the build quality. It looks amazing and stores a lot even though it's only 15" wide. I will update this review once I install and use it for a few months.

I purchased a merchandiser and dry display case from Cooltech and I am shocked at the poor design and quality of the merchandiser. The racks are ill fitting, the brackets were rusted (new unit). They attempted to come out and fix it and in the process damaged the unit with dents and dings to the steel and made it look even worse. Really unbelievable.

Koolatron KWC-25 Coca-Cola 28-Can-Capacity Portable Fridge with LED Display

Koolatron KWC-25 Coca-Cola 28-Can-Capacity Portable Fridge with LED Display
  • Countertop refrigerator chills up to 28 12-ounce cans of soda
  • Simple, front-access, push-button controls with LED read-out
  • Thermoelectric cooling system; adjustable temperature settings
  • Self-locking recessed door handle; front viewing window
  • Measures 14-3/5 by 14-1/5 by 19-4/5 inches

why i bought it: general purpose drink cooler for beer and sodas

packaging: light weight box, shipping foam on top and bottom, in plastic

whats in the box: the koolatron, 1 car adapter, 1 ac to dc power brick, instructions for use

first thoughts: the fridge is as awesome as pictured, full coke logos on the sides, COKE printed on the glass door, brilliant red plastic casing, awesome front door screen printing,

Instruction Oddities: the koolatron has two operating modes Normal and Mute witch require manual switching, per the directions you must clean the back fan ducts once a month to prevent burnout as there is a large air intake in the back. the internal circulation vents cannot be blocked, therefore its not possible to cool unit with as many cans as pictured. light up buttons as mentioned fail to mention that whats used for the lighting are actually insanely bright blue led's. 6 inch 180 rear clearance required for air circ AND the dc power brick must be ventilated. max cooling potential is listed as 8C but room temperature is a factor.

USE:

plug in the machine and the fans kick on with a nice little roar. In normal operation mode the unit is loud. will take 8 hours to cool to nominal temp in normal mode operation. for my unit this is 11C to 13C as my room can be high in humidity and around 70 to 75. once the unit gets to the designated tempflip the switch in the back to "mute mode" mute mode will hold the temp of the unit as best as possibleoperation in this mode is "whisper quiet". so far for cooling the unit keeps my sodas and beer chilled but not exactly "frosty"

USE ODDITIES:

1, the ac to dc power adapter is about the size of a brick and it gets extremely hot in "normal operation" mode, no really it get hot enough where you cant hold on to it for long so the adapter must be kept off the ground and away from anything that could catch fire, my koolatron lives on a craftsman rolling tool cart, so the adapter basically gets to sit on a steel plate with tons of airspace around it. In Mute mode, the power brick cools down considerably but is very warm to the touch

2, In both mute mode and Normal mode the unit constantly cycles in order to keep the temp down.

3. cant stand up a long neck beer with the shelf installed, so either you have to not use the shelf, or use cans only,or lay the beer on its side.

DO I LIKE:

i think the unit is ok, its got amazing looks but they need to improve the cooling spec as the repetitive cycling is excessive and the ac adapter needs a rework.

also the blue LEDS in the front are annoying at night as they light up the entire room if not coverd

This is the sweetest lil' fridge ever!!!! i love it! it keeps drink nice and cold (somewhere around 38-42 degrees i would say). the only bad thing about it, and its not really that bad, but, every 3 weeks or so, you have to drain the condensation collecting shelf on the bottom. if you dont.....it fills up and spills! not a big deal though, especially if you drink the cokes you put in there. just wait until you refill it with cokes every couple weeks and then dump it. its a small fridge, so it doesnt come with all the perks of a full size fridge. never-the-less, its a great little addition to a bonus room, game room or even a bedroom.

Read Best Reviews of Koolatron KWC-25 Coca-Cola 28-Can-Capacity Portable Fridge with LED Display Here

First off, I know this is not a true "refrigerator" but a thermo-electric cooler. If all you are using this for is to have ice cold drinks in a near room temperature room, this is perfectly fine.

I bought this fridge specifically to keep drinks cold in my media room. The room temperature is around 74-78 Fahrenheit throughout the day, and this fridge has no problem keeping 28 cans at 37-41 degrees F. It is even able to do this in its whisper quiet mode(low fan speed). The initial cool-down of the 28 cans took a good 8 hours, but afterward it didn't budge from ~40f even after adding a few warm cans, which is great. The walls also do a good job insulating the fridge to my surprise.

The build quality of the frame is pretty decent. The red plastic actually looks pretty nice and not cheap like I thought. It looks much classier and is a more attractive addition than just your standard mini-fridge (thus the price premium). The radiator and fan in the back are enclosed by a another thinner piece of plastic but it seems fine. The four buttons on the front glow a fairly bright blue color as does the LCD...this may be annoying to some people as the only way to shut off the lights is to shut off the entire unit (cooling and all), but this doesn't bother me too much. The first button is the master power on and off. The middle two buttons adjust the set temperature from 2-60 Celsius (about 35-140 Fahrenheit). The last button on the right turns on a small light inside that casts a nice looking glow across the cans...it illuminates the window nicely. The LCD screen reports the temperature inside the fridge at all times unless you adjust the temperature, at which point it shows you what the target temp is.

For the first few days I really loved the fridge, but I woke up one day and the LCD was reporting 54 degrees Celsius (129 Fahrenheit) for the cooler temperature. I opened the fridge and found everything still very cold like normal. It turns out the LCD screen just went crazy. It just kept reporting random temperatures from 30 65 Celsius. I'm guessing it was just a bad temperature sensor as the unit was still cooling fine. I notified Amazon and they immediately shipped me a replacement and scheduled a UPS pickup of my old one at no charge. I couldn't ask for better service than that. Overall, I love the fridge...just a little disappointed that I need to exchange it. Overall, I think it's a great product and makes a great addition to my theater room.

*******************UPDATE 11/23/2012***************

Well about 3 months ago (or about 2 years after purchase) the unit died and no longer turns on. Thankfully I bought a square-trade warranty for it and they refunded me the full purchase price! All of these little refrigerators die at some point it seems, so if you do decide to get it, get the twenty dollar warranty so you are prepared when it does finally break...

Want Koolatron KWC-25 Coca-Cola 28-Can-Capacity Portable Fridge with LED Display Discount?

I, just like many people who have reviewed this ahead of me, had the same issue with it malfunctioning/dying after about 10 months.

It suddenly in the middle of the night started to blink on and off and the fan was no longer functioning.

As a previous reviewer mentioned, this item only has a 90 day warranty. So it is not returnable.

Also, while it worked, it was pretty nice, but you had to empty out a lot of water build up at the bottom at least once a week.

Now that it does not work anymore, I guess the only function it will now serve me is as a medicine cabinet I guess...

It is too bad.

I warn those of you who are considering to purchase this, know IT WILL DIE on you in less than a year.

Since it was a newer item 10 months ago, no one had known that it was going to be faulty like this...seems all of us who purchased this item 9 or 10 months ago are having this Fridge death issue.

So those of you who have not purchased this, consider yourself lucky!

This is a strange-looking fridge. Honestly one that I was not that proud to have in my office. But I overlooked that and embraced its kitsch, and used it as a daily-use fridge (24x7). That was 4 months ago.

About 1 month ago, it started to randomly shut off. We all know what happens when should-be-refrigerated things are not refrigerated. It became more and more frequent and now stays on for about 2 minutes at a time.

Look elsewhere for your daily use fridge.

We contacted Maytag after we received the new refrigerator and they were not willing to send us any compensation for aggravation or loss of food. Their customer service to say the least is non-responsive. We will never buy another Maytag refrigerator and we tell everyone we know not buy a Maytag refrigerator. Maytag had to know these refrigerators were defective and they should have recalled them. Home Depot Appliance manager told us there were multiple customers who had issues with these refrigerators.

There are many manufactures of appliances and our advice would be not to buy maytag!
