530557 DEFROST TIMER REPAIR PART FOR WHIRLPOOL, AMANA, MAYTAG, KENMORE AND MORE

530557 DEFROST TIMER REPAIR PART FOR WHIRLPOOL, AMANA, MAYTAG, KENMORE AND MOREMy grand daughter went to the freezer and said all the ice cream has melted. So I was going to get rid of the freezer as it was over 30 years old. My son said it has to be something simple. so we checked and found the wiring on the defrost timer had burned up. What happened was the breaker points stuck (welded themself together) and burned the wire off. We installed a new end on the wire and ordered your replacement timer and we are once again having frozen food. Thank you very much.

Haier HCR17B Refrigerator/Freezer, 1.7-Feet Cubic, Black

Haier HCR17B Refrigerator/Freezer, 1.7-Feet Cubic, Black
  • Half-width freezer compartment with ice cube tray
  • Full-width slide-out wire shelf
  • Full-width and half-width door storage shelf
  • 2-liter bottle door storage
  • Recessed door handle

At first I was a little skeptical of the Haier brand due to issues with other units but this one isn't so bad. It gets cold and on the coldest setting I've actually managed to freeze some of the stuff I put in it without putting it in the little freezer compartment and if you want more room just remove the freezer compartment. Good deal for the price.

Update: 7/28/12

Still working like a charm. Had problems closing due to ice buildup on the freezer compartment but has been cleared up and it is working fine. It does not shake hard when running or make unbearable noises and I keep this in my bedroom. I have owned louder fish tank filters. Good deal if you want something to keep snacks and beverages cold. Couldn't fit a small pizza box in it to give you an idea of the size.

It keeps items cold; freezer freezes; it is ultra quiet and efficient; compact and well designed inside and out; what more can one ask? I bought mine for my office and I couldn't be happier.

This item was delivered on May 8, 2013 and broke down sometime between May 25, 2013. I don't know if this is normal or not for this kind of mini fridge.

I purchased this for my mom in July 2012. It died in May 2013. Off to Costco tomorrow to get a small Samsung.

It looks like it's second hand and water leaks out of the fridge. I wish I could return it, but I couldn't because nobody could help me move it to the post office.

Bosch B22CS30SNS 300 22.1 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel Counter Depth Side-By-Side Refrigerator - Energy

Bosch B22CS30SNS 300 22.1 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel Counter Depth Side-By-Side Refrigerator - Energy StarThe delivery people dropped this off, and we unplugged it almost immediately due to a high pitched, headache-inducing noise when the compressor comes on (verified by visitors to our home). The service person from our vendor came the next day, agreed upon the noise and thought there was an issue with the compressor. He had our salesperson replace our refrigerator with another new one. The new one had the same problem, so we contacted Bosch directly and they sent their representatives out. They could not find an issue with it. Our vendor's service person came out again and called his Bosch representative, who noted a similar problem with a prior model and suggested replacing a board. The board was replaced, but the problem persists. Bosch and our service person had no alternative solutions and we are now returning the refrigerator altogether.

We purchased several other Bosch appliances at the same time (dishwasher, stove, washer, dryer) and found them all to be great; sturdy and quiet. We are extremely disappointed and unsure what we will end up buying. The only other Bosch refrigerators available to us are in the same series (we have 300, 500 and 800 appear to be the same except for more features) so we are afraid they will have the same problem and are looking at other manufacturers.

Got our first Bosch, and it was great. Quiet and beautiful to look at. But a defect inside allowed the glass shelves to fall off their pegs, just as you put a gallon of milk on it. Bosch came out and condemned the unit. I was impressed. Out comes #2 refrig. Plugged it in and the compressor sounded awful. A metallic rubbing sound inside the compressor. Could hear it across the house. Ice maker did not work. Out came Bosch, who replaced the ice maker but said the compressor was fine. Well the compressor noise has gotten louder, and now the ice maker died again. Also the refrig has a door open alarm feature. Well, my kids left a fruit drawer out a little, which caused the door not to close all the way. I woke up the next morning to a refrigerator that was 50 degrees inside, and no alarm sounded. Out comes Bosch for the third time. He condemns the compressor, ice maker, and a computer board. I contact customer service and demand a new machine, as it is only 2 months old. "Sorry, our warranty says we fix it, so thats what you get" She also refuses to let me talk to anyone higher than her " I am as high as you can get" she says.

I purchased it from Fergusen Enterprises, a wholesaler to the construction market. Jeff at Fergusen in Downers Grove Illinois, stepped in and pressured Bosch to replace the unit. We are currently waiting for Unit #3 to arrive.

Bought this fridge last July from HHGregg and I am so disappointed in it.

Besides the fact it is extremly loud, you can't keep the doors open more than 10 seconds or it starts beeping at you. I've read about this and you can't change it.

Besides that, everytime we put the milk in the door the molding around the milk drawer pops off. At this point, it has happened so many times that we can't get the molding back on.

The latest is the ice machine stopped working. I called Bosch and this was a joke. They didn't seem to care.

So I talked with HHGregg and they gave me a # to a service place they use.

I have been waiting for TWO WEEKS for Bosch to mail the new ice machine. It is under warranty, so that is nice but just another pain.

Not to be outdone, now the 'alarm' comes on periodically. This never happened before, but started when the ice issues started.

So now it'll be three in the morning and the fridge alarm will be beeping.

If I could go back and get another fridge I would.

Only six months old we were choosing between a GE and a Bosch and bought the Bosch because it was German made and seems well built. It certainly is attractive.

1) Long and shortspend any time in Europe and see how many Germans use ice makers-none. Guess that's the reason Bosch has made such a mess of the ice-maker. Every time you go to get a few cubes, 10 of them fall all over the floor. Every time. 2) When it gets full, the ice-maker stops. And then never restarts again when it's empty unless you manually restart it. This means you spend a lot of time with an empty icebin (surprise...) 3) For no reason, 2 months ago the fridge started to run 24 hours a day, our of the blue. Our electric bill doubled during that time. We now need to get the vendor's service people out. What a hassle for a new fridge. 4) The alarm goes off after 1min. Incredibly annoying when filling the fridge... so we turn off the fridge to fill it. And... then often forget to turn it back on. A real design flaw.

Bottom line: Bosch hasn't figured out fridges for the US market yet. What a disappointment. Next time, based on our experience and the reviews in Consumer Reports, we'd pick the GE for sure. I wish that we never picked this model, or Bosch. We won't again.

We bought this thinking it must be the Porsche of refrigerators, judging by its manufacturer. It's actually the Fiat of iceboxes. Ours lasted exactly 30 days before both the freezer and refrigerator side died totally. The vaunted "self-diagnosis" test feature didn't work properly even though there was still power to the refrigerator, but never mind, I knew the reefer was dead--there was a big puddle of water on the kitchen floor where all the ice had melted and run out through the door icemaker. And as for that ice-maker, it never worked right anyway--dispensed either crushed or whole ice on a whim regardless of which button you pushed. Is Bosch manufacturing these things in Somalia, maybe?

Two-week-later update: I can now confidently say this is not only the worst refrigerator I have ever owned, it is the worst PRODUCT I have ever owned. Car, TV, coffeegrinder, chainsaw, power drill, computer, dildo...the worst. The icemaker makes so little ice that if we have another couple or two over for drinks and dinner, we need to first run up to the 7-11 and buy a $2 bag of ice. And if the freezer has had two or three days to make a minimal quantity of ice, you push the ice dispenser button on the door to fill a glass and nothing happens but a lot of grumbing/grinding sound. Then open the freezer drawer to try and get some ice manually and about a quart of ice cubes and crushed ice cascades out all over the floor. Great party ice-breaker, pun intended.

Bosch's contracted service people have, of course, been here. They left, shaking their heads, saying they'd have to consult with Bosch but that usually took a few weeks to get a reaction out of Bosch Central and they hoped nothing went wrong again in the meantime. "I HATE working on Bosch stuff," the service guy said. Me too.

Update: I've now had the refrigerator for 10 months. The above problem was solved (I hope permanantly) by totally replacing all of the refrigerator's electronics--two large circuit boards in compartments atop the refrigerator.

Now the ice-maker has failed. Zero. No ice. Two weeks ago, the entire ice-maker was replaced. Today, the new ice-maker has totally failed. (As for the above problem of the ice-maker making crushed ice when you want cubes, the service guy said, "Oh, yeah, they do that..."

Whirlpool 2260518B Water Filter Cap for Refrigerator

Whirlpool 2260518B Water Filter Cap for RefrigeratorHavne't bought this but I have used it. One came with my fridge and I lost it. I saw it here when buying a filter and thought "Hey, great, I'll pick one up". Then I see they're charging $22 for a piece of plastic! Guys, charge me a fair price of $4.99 and I'll buy it. Try to rip me off for $22 and I'll just go without. Who thinks of these ridiculous prices?

I tried buying locally and it cost 1/4th as much . . . and was the wrong part! The parts person said this part isnt even listed as compatible with my fridge. But even with shipping, this part is cheaper here than it was at the local parts shop. I cant figure out why this chunk of plastic costs so much. But it works without the cap, I couldnt get the filter in all the way and my kids and I can all taste the difference. Oh, it also shipped so quickly that it was faster to get it from Amazon than it was to order from the local parts shop which is 5 miles from my husband's work and wait for him to find time to run and get it.

I agree with Justin's review, $22.00 for a 25 cent piece of molded plastic is an outrageous price. My new Whirlpool filter cap broke the first time I tried to change the filter. ( Yes, I read and followed the instructions.) This is a prime example why corporate executives rake in their multi million dollar bonuses.

Samsung RF217ACBP 20 Cu. Ft. Black French Door Refrigerator - Energy StarSamsu

Samsung RF217ACBP 20 Cu. Ft. Black French Door Refrigerator - Energy Star
  • 3 Tempered Glass Shelves
  • Twin Cooling System
  • Surround Air Flow
  • Power Freeze/Power Cool
  • LED Lighting

First, let me say that I'm a huge fan of most Samsung products. I have owned multiple Samsung cell phones, TVs, monitors, computers, and other products. I have heard the praises on Samsung washers and dryers. All of that led me to buy the RF217ACRS (or RF217ACPN) refrigerator. Its size was perfect for the kitchen I had and at first glance I thought it was a good appliance.

Within two weeks of having it delivered the refrigerator and freezer was intermittent. The freezer temperatures varied greatly and I ended up with a freezer of melted ice cream and thawed out products. I used manual thermometers in both the refrigerator and freezer and quickly learned that it hardly ever kept the temperatures that were displaying on its digital readings. The manual thermometers were placed at different areas and it still never matched. The freezer would be at -25 degrees one moment and +30 degrees the next, all the while the digital gauge on the unit said it was -2 or 0. Frost was constantly melting and refreezing.

Thankfully, the store agreed to pick up this unit and deliver a replacement. Thinking I got a lemon, I just got another Samsung RF217ACRS. Within another month, the replacement unit (completely new, although same model) was doing the same thing. The store agreed to replace it again and I then quickly switched brands. After ditching Samsung, I'm happy to say that I'm thrilled. I now have a refrigerator that cools and a freezer that freezes, but it is NOT a Samsung. It's amazing how happy a customer can be when an appliance does what it is supposed to.

Now, even if you decide to buy the RF217ACRS (or RF217ACPN) after reading about the problems I had, let me tell you about the features of the refrigerator. The stainless steel finish is nice and the EZ Open Freezer handle is a great touch. However, you will not get many features on the inside. While the shelving units are adjustable, they do not adjust enough. You can only adjust them a couple of inches in a few directions. Most of the door shelves turn out to be too small to even use unless you just omit one of the shelves to increase the height of the others. Other units offer shelves with much more adjustable heights to them. After you look at other brands, you will see that Samsung missed the mark on designing the interior of this unit.

You can fit a gallon of milk in the doors, but don't even try to fit a one gallon pitcher of tea or something similar on the shelves. The noise level is a bit higher than I expected. It is not quiet, but it is manageable. The lighting is too dim. I know they are using LED lights to save energy, but there needs to be more light. When opening the freezer door you often spill ice into the bottom of the freezer or worse, your kitchen floor. The ice maker comes down too far into the ice bucket causing it to knock cubes off when opening/closing the door.

At the end of the day, I was never thrilled about the abilities or features of this Samsung refrigerator. When major problems surfaced, that just put the nails in the coffin. I was completely dissatisfied with this model and Samsung's customer service (I did call them after the second malfunction). I cannot recommend this model and likely cannot recommend any Samsung refrigerator.

We were looking for a newer, energy efficient refrigerator to replace our old 1993 GE one -ANDone that will fit in the small space under the cabinets. This one just fits and has the freezer on the bottom.

We were so sick of "losing" our leftovers, fruits and other goodies to the back of the fridge, only to find it a week later, spoiled. I'm glad we chose the french doors, but I wish the shelves were split instead of one long shelf. The only place to put our milk jars and ice tea and lemonade is in the door on the bottom shelf. So we can fit 2 1/2 gallon jars from the dairy farmer and one jug of lemonade. Anything else and we're out of luck. This would not be ideal for soda drinking families who do not wish to store 2 liters on their sides. Our booze has to lay down on its side on shelves. Meh. I hope it doesn't leak.

The old refrigerator had probably too much door space. When I tried putting everything from that one into this new fridge, I ended up tossing some of the odd sauces or jellies we had. The freezer portion wasn't so bad. Yes, I suppose this is a large freezer, but we buy our meat a month ahead of time from a rancher and need to store quite a bit. One half of the bottom basket is crammed full of 30-40 lbs of meat. The other half has some boxed foods, corn dogs, french toast sticks, plus all our frozen bagged veggies. There is room in the upper tray for all our ice cream products, a frozen pizza and other misc items. The rest of the upper tray is the ice maker, which takes awhile to get going according to the manual. We've only had the fridge for 24 hours, so I can't comment yet on how quickly it will make ice.

I will say that this refrigerator is whisper quiet. I don't know if it's running unless I open it for something. It uses half the electricity of the older one (we stuck a Kill-o-Watt on it before decommissioning it). It's probably a good thing that I can't fit 500 little jars of what-not in the doors--it's more streamlined and less cluttered and that means less to clean when a jar tips over and leaks. The produce drawers are huge! The meat/cheese drawer, not so much. There is plenty of shelf space for leftovers, if not for drinks.

Your lifestyle will dictate whether or not this is the right refrigerator for you. If you have lots of leftovers/take-out, you're good to go. If your family is frozen pre-packaged food eating as opposed to cooking, you'll get by, but you'll need to shop at least every other week. And of course if you are a cooking family, this will be just fine. Beer drinkers, if you don't need both produce drawers for veggies, then you can fit at least a 24 pack of long-necks in one of the drawers. Awesomeness. Big 2 liter or milk and OJ drinkers? Take a good look at the shelf configuration.

One star means I hate it. A PERFECT DESCRIPTION of how I feel about this POS.

Noisy. Clunky. The lack of options for placing shelves where you want them especially in the doors is appalling. The icemaker broke after 11 months of use because we left the scoop in the ice cube bin.... which is where it was when the unit was delivered. Nothing in the manual about "don't do that".

The stainless steel front is a pain to keep clean; the only product I've found that really does remove smudges is citrus oil, but you have to be VERY careful about how you spray it; if the oil spray lands on the floor you've got a slippery oily mess in front of your refrigerator.

While polishing the stainless yesterday, I noticed two distinct rows of RUST SPOTS running down the freezer door; clearly the stainless steel was damaged in production. YET ANOTHER warranty call.

Samsung's website is a horror I can't get in even after multiple password resets. Their online chat support is typical: "Neil" (who's real name has to be Rashnish) takes 5 minutes to say "Sorry for your inconvenience"... Oh for the love of god kill me.

I never would have purchased this refrigerator but had no choice when I bought the condo it came with. It's awful, and I'm ready to toss it on the street.

This Fridge failed after 10.5 months of use. The compressor would not kick on and all my food spoiled. Before that the compressor was noticeably loud from day one. I have been hardly home and the fridge got very little real use. It looks good and I used to love how it looked in my modern kitchen, but now I am very disappointed. Buy at your own risk! Also, I suggest that you search for reviews of the same fridge in different colors (all the same under the hood) to make a more informed choice!

Frigidaire 240356401 Door Bin for Refrigerator

Frigidaire 240356401 Door Bin for RefrigeratorWe have gone through several bins. I wish I could review the fridge-it is poorly designed. It seems like they could make bins that don't break every few months. That side-This bin fit perfectly. It was shipped VERY fast and was a reasonable price. I like this seller and I was debating buying an extra bin for when they break again (oh, you know they will!).

I order this as a replacement for my original refrig. shelf. the original was made of cheap clear plastic. This replacement shelf is a solid white color and made of better sturdy materials that will not crack as easily. This shelf works perfect however it was extremely tight and a little difficult to attach it back to the door. However once in it works perfectly. I've not had any issues since installing it. Very happy.

GE Refrigerator Dispenser Auger WR17X11705 NEW

GE Refrigerator Dispenser Auger WR17X11705 NEWDEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PART & SELLER!!!

I ordered this item after I found a broken piece of plastic in with ice cubes dispensed. I did my research on the GE website to make sure this was the right part, and it was. This item is a direct replacement part for GE or Hotpoint ice-maker dispenser. Replacing it was not hard. Just keep in mind that when removing the old one, there is only a plastic nut holding the auger & blades in position, AND THIS NUT IS REVERSE THREAD! So make sure to be careful when removing it, and keep all the blades & white washers in position, so you don't forget how they go back on!!! Shipping was fast & item arrived in great condition!!!

I noticed a big piece of plastic auger had broke off and was on my cup while getting ice from my GE fridge (model: GSS25WGPA BB). I bought this item and quickly google on how to replace the auger. Luckily, there is a great video on youtube and you may search by typing WR17X11705 and click on the 1st video search you get (approx 13 min long). Just follow it through and 20-25 min later (I was taking my time), you'll have a working and clean (since I decided to clean the insides) ice machine! You won't regret getting this replacement from amazon and save money instead of going through GEappliances, as it's the product you'll get, just cheaper!!!
