Aquafresh Replacement for GE MWF Refirgerator Filter, 3-Pack
- High quality, cost-effective alternative to factory original
- Change Every 6 months
- Easy installation and operation
- Helps reduce contaminants found in tap water and improves its quality
- Made from renewable carbon
I'm also worried about quality control. Each filter comes in an individual box, and those were falling apart because of weak glue. Did I mention these are made in China?
We'll see how long these last, but my guess is the per-unit savings will be lost in going through the filters more rapidly, and, as I said, we're not sure the water is being filtered all that well.

I thought I would be saving money by ordering an alternate filter rather than the GE filter which is overpriced. I bought the 3 pack. Every single one of them leaked! All 3 of them leaked! EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM LEAKED! Don't waste your money. Buy the GE filter. I had to run to a store to buy one at $12 more than the Amazon price. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!Read Best Reviews of Aquafresh Replacement for GE MWF Refirgerator Filter, 3-Pack Here
.WORKS AS GOOD OR BETTER than GE.. for a fraction of the price..
Fits perfect (MWF size/for GE Profile) and charcoal filters just the same as all the rest.. Comes with month labels to keep track of change..
Best thing i've done.. Now I'm less reluctant to change the filter and Now the water rapidly streams out of my fridge..
Don't wait!! ..Don't keep trickling junky water out of your "old" GE filter!!! ..Try it!! ..They're guaranteed.. ..Return em if you don't like em.. (but i aint returning mine, they work too good)

Having used one for about a month now, the water probably doesn't taste quite as good as with the standard GE filter, but they're a suitable replacement. My only gripe is that they seem to be causing the refridgerator to be a little noisier when pumping the water through them to refill the ice trays.AFTER WE USED SIX OR SEVEN GALLONS OF WATER. THE TASTE CHANGES AND IT IS AS GOOD AS THE GE FILTERThursday, February 20, 2014
Haier HBF05EBSS Draft Beer Dispenser
- Complete American Sankey Tap System that Holds 1/2, 1/4 & Mini Barrel Kegs
- Adjustable Thermostat
- Chrome Beer Tower & Guardrail, so you won't fall off
- Heavy Duty Worktop & Cabinet
- Decorative Stainless Steel Door with Black Cabinet
Be prepared: After it's set up and you've had people over, you're going to be QUITE popular! Expect comments like "I'm going to be over at your place every afternoon." Haier America should realize their best marketing ploy is satisfied customers. I've had it two weeks and Haier may be selling 3 additional units soon.
OK, so what about the product rating, especially in light of all the negative comments provided earlier? Well, here's my take on it:
Set up was fairly simple, if you discount the fact that one part was missing (see below).
Quality seems to be adequate. They use quality parts, e.g., the CO2 regulator and dispensing valve.
It's keeping my second (post party) keg perfectly chilled and pressurized. (Since the first keg only lasted several hours, we can't base much judgement on that.)
It's wonderful to come home to a fresh, draft beer!
Finding a place to refill the CO2 canister can be difficult. Most commercial places will only exchange (take your brand new canister and give you a used, filled canister). I finally found a fire extinguisher service that does refills after making MANY calls.
Does this make it perfect? Hardly.
My experience confirms that Haier America has poor customer service. I purcased the unit a week in advance of a party I was hosting. After getting it home and setting it up, I realized (according to the manual) that it was missing the washer that goes between the CO2 tank and the regulator. I called Haier customer service the following morning and was shocked by how they treated me. The basic tone of their response was "tough luck." I would have to follow their procedures which were: 1) fax or send via US mail my purchase receipt 2) Allow them two business days from their receipt of this to get back to me 3) After doing a 'confirmation' they would send me the washer within two weeks.
I was irate and told them so! I had purchased the unit specifically for my upcoming party and now would not be able to use it! Their reponse: "These are our procedures."
I did two things after this:
1) I located the manufacturer of the CO2 regulator and contacted them about the possibility of getting a washer. They informed me that the regulator was redesigned and did not need a washer. Haier was supposed to include an update with their user manual (they didn't, and customer service obviously wasn't aware of this change).
2) I located information on Haier America and faxed their CEO an scathing letter telling him what I thought about spending $500 for something and not being able to use it at the function I bought it for! Lo and behold, the next day I received a call from their corporate offices saying they would be overnighting me the missing washer. I explained I had learned it wasn't needed, but the woman calling me wasn't taking any chances. She overnighted it to me anyway. Moral of the story: Make your voice heard when you recieve bad service.
Anyway, my 'washerless' set up is now working fine and I'm loving the unit.
Buy Haier HBF05EBSS Draft Beer Dispenser Now
As the other reviewers have stated, the dispenser freezes in the back and does not thaw, nor does the temperature of the dispenser work correctly, mine runs warm even at the highest setting. Although customer service will document your call in Ottawa, their corporate office in New York will not return my call. The three repair numbers customer service gave me did no good as I was also told by one repair person that Haier does not reimburse the repairs and as a result they will not come out to my home. Customer service told me twice that they have recommended to the corporate office to replace my unit, but of the five to six calls I have placed over the past two months, I have not received any calls that any progress or action will be taken. I have been trying to get my dispenser serviced since September.Read Best Reviews of Haier HBF05EBSS Draft Beer Dispenser Here
Overall, as far as the product goes, I have to say I'm quite happy with the beer dispenser. No problems with the temperature adjustment (but then, I'm not trying to keep my beer at 34 degrees), it pours nicely, the components seem to be high quality aside from the plastic hose clamps for the CO2 line, but those were easy to replace with metal ones at the hardware store. However, I have to agree with the other reviewers, Haier's customer service is...challenging. My wife bought me the dispenser for Christmas (that's true love). She had it delivered to a neighbor's house so I wouldn't suspect anything. On December 26, I went to retrieve the box and set it up in my basement. Upon opening the unit, I discovered that a significant number of parts were missing LIKE THE ENTIRE CO2 SYSTEM, TAP, AND KEG CONNECTION. Basically I had a $600 mini-fridge. You'd think someone in shipping might notice that the box was 25 pound light, but, whatever.
I called Haier, and they were fairly helpful at first. They told me I should fax a list of the missing parts along with my proof of purchase, which I did. They then told me it would be a couple days to "validate" my claim, a couple days to process the order, and then two weeks for the parts to arrive. I called back every few days to see how things were going, and it was easy to get a real person on the phone each time, but these people weren't able to offer much information.
Apparently, Haier's parts warehouse is located on the dark side of the moon, because it was impossible for customer service to tell me when or how the parts would be shipping. No way to get a tracking number, no way to know if the parts were in stock, nothing. So, I waited patiently for three weeks. When the parts didn't show up, I called back and, surprise, they couldn't tell me what happened. I talked to a supervisor at Haier, and she told me the same thing. She started to resubmit the order, but several parts were now showing up as backordered on her screen, with no ETA available.
At this point, I was done with Haier. I called Amazon and explained my situation, and I said I wanted to get an exchange or a refund. At first, I was told to "contact the manufacturer." When I explained that I'd been doing that for the past month with no luck, they agreed to exchange it, no problem. They also said I wasn't the only one this happened to. Within two days, a replacement was on its way, and I had a tracking number. Thank you, Amazon.
So, I didn't have tap beer for Christmas, or New Year's, or my birthday, but I've got it for the Super Bowl, and it's good.

The place I get my kegs from gave me the right washer so I have not had any problems on that side whatsoever. This was an impulse buy for me. Sure I did some research then one Saturday I was having a party and went and picked this up at the local Brandsmart. Beer would come out cold, not as cold as I'd like but not too warm. One thing I learned right away, you have to let the keg sit overnight before tapping inside the cooler. I'm new to this, so I did not know the pitfalls of tapping a warm keg. I came on here and read some of the reviews. It was not until about a month later that the temperature issue became a problem. I hesitated but took a previous poster's advice and now the beer is as cold as I like. I recommenc going for a half to 3/4 turn on the screw as opposed to a full one. You dont want the thing to run so much that it burns out. I would find it odd how the cooler would cycle on for about 5 minutes then off for 20. Now its on for 20-30 and off for the same. Nonetheless, my Michelob Light has never tasted better. I have not had to deal with Haier directly and from the looks of it, I hope I wont have to. This unit is a good value. Once you get past the temperature issue, you cant ask for a better deal. Both the tap and faucet are good quality as well as he Co2 tank. I recommend you get a better regulator with the "mickey mouse ears". One to tell you the pressure and the other how much gas is left in the tank. .
Yes I recommend this.DON'T BUY ONE!!! the worst customer service! they lie to you and tell you everything is going to be fixed. no response back even after about 10 phone calls over 1 month. Doesn't keep beer cold enough. the electrical plug in to the compressor shorted out and would not work, got the run around from haier customer service,(sounded good, don't believe it.)called the new york coporate office got sorry that's the warranty and will have to pay for the service tech. very dissatisfied with the QUOTE " BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY ADVERTISE!" I hope everone boycots haier products.

Bosch B22CS30SNS 300 22.1 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel Counter Depth Side-By-Side Refrigerator - Energy
We purchased several other Bosch appliances at the same time (dishwasher, stove, washer, dryer) and found them all to be great; sturdy and quiet. We are extremely disappointed and unsure what we will end up buying. The only other Bosch refrigerators available to us are in the same series (we have 300, 500 and 800 appear to be the same except for more features) so we are afraid they will have the same problem and are looking at other manufacturers.Got our first Bosch, and it was great. Quiet and beautiful to look at. But a defect inside allowed the glass shelves to fall off their pegs, just as you put a gallon of milk on it. Bosch came out and condemned the unit. I was impressed. Out comes #2 refrig. Plugged it in and the compressor sounded awful. A metallic rubbing sound inside the compressor. Could hear it across the house. Ice maker did not work. Out came Bosch, who replaced the ice maker but said the compressor was fine. Well the compressor noise has gotten louder, and now the ice maker died again. Also the refrig has a door open alarm feature. Well, my kids left a fruit drawer out a little, which caused the door not to close all the way. I woke up the next morning to a refrigerator that was 50 degrees inside, and no alarm sounded. Out comes Bosch for the third time. He condemns the compressor, ice maker, and a computer board. I contact customer service and demand a new machine, as it is only 2 months old. "Sorry, our warranty says we fix it, so thats what you get" She also refuses to let me talk to anyone higher than her " I am as high as you can get" she says.
I purchased it from Fergusen Enterprises, a wholesaler to the construction market. Jeff at Fergusen in Downers Grove Illinois, stepped in and pressured Bosch to replace the unit. We are currently waiting for Unit #3 to arrive.Bought this fridge last July from HHGregg and I am so disappointed in it.
Besides the fact it is extremly loud, you can't keep the doors open more than 10 seconds or it starts beeping at you. I've read about this and you can't change it.
Besides that, everytime we put the milk in the door the molding around the milk drawer pops off. At this point, it has happened so many times that we can't get the molding back on.
The latest is the ice machine stopped working. I called Bosch and this was a joke. They didn't seem to care.
So I talked with HHGregg and they gave me a # to a service place they use.
I have been waiting for TWO WEEKS for Bosch to mail the new ice machine. It is under warranty, so that is nice but just another pain.
Not to be outdone, now the 'alarm' comes on periodically. This never happened before, but started when the ice issues started.
So now it'll be three in the morning and the fridge alarm will be beeping.
If I could go back and get another fridge I would.Only six months old we were choosing between a GE and a Bosch and bought the Bosch because it was German made and seems well built. It certainly is attractive.
1) Long and shortspend any time in Europe and see how many Germans use ice makers-none. Guess that's the reason Bosch has made such a mess of the ice-maker. Every time you go to get a few cubes, 10 of them fall all over the floor. Every time. 2) When it gets full, the ice-maker stops. And then never restarts again when it's empty unless you manually restart it. This means you spend a lot of time with an empty icebin (surprise...) 3) For no reason, 2 months ago the fridge started to run 24 hours a day, our of the blue. Our electric bill doubled during that time. We now need to get the vendor's service people out. What a hassle for a new fridge. 4) The alarm goes off after 1min. Incredibly annoying when filling the fridge... so we turn off the fridge to fill it. And... then often forget to turn it back on. A real design flaw.
Bottom line: Bosch hasn't figured out fridges for the US market yet. What a disappointment. Next time, based on our experience and the reviews in Consumer Reports, we'd pick the GE for sure. I wish that we never picked this model, or Bosch. We won't again. We bought this thinking it must be the Porsche of refrigerators, judging by its manufacturer. It's actually the Fiat of iceboxes. Ours lasted exactly 30 days before both the freezer and refrigerator side died totally. The vaunted "self-diagnosis" test feature didn't work properly even though there was still power to the refrigerator, but never mind, I knew the reefer was dead--there was a big puddle of water on the kitchen floor where all the ice had melted and run out through the door icemaker. And as for that ice-maker, it never worked right anyway--dispensed either crushed or whole ice on a whim regardless of which button you pushed. Is Bosch manufacturing these things in Somalia, maybe?
Two-week-later update: I can now confidently say this is not only the worst refrigerator I have ever owned, it is the worst PRODUCT I have ever owned. Car, TV, coffeegrinder, chainsaw, power drill, computer, dildo...the worst. The icemaker makes so little ice that if we have another couple or two over for drinks and dinner, we need to first run up to the 7-11 and buy a $2 bag of ice. And if the freezer has had two or three days to make a minimal quantity of ice, you push the ice dispenser button on the door to fill a glass and nothing happens but a lot of grumbing/grinding sound. Then open the freezer drawer to try and get some ice manually and about a quart of ice cubes and crushed ice cascades out all over the floor. Great party ice-breaker, pun intended.
Bosch's contracted service people have, of course, been here. They left, shaking their heads, saying they'd have to consult with Bosch but that usually took a few weeks to get a reaction out of Bosch Central and they hoped nothing went wrong again in the meantime. "I HATE working on Bosch stuff," the service guy said. Me too.
Update: I've now had the refrigerator for 10 months. The above problem was solved (I hope permanantly) by totally replacing all of the refrigerator's electronics--two large circuit boards in compartments atop the refrigerator.
Now the ice-maker has failed. Zero. No ice. Two weeks ago, the entire ice-maker was replaced. Today, the new ice-maker has totally failed. (As for the above problem of the ice-maker making crushed ice when you want cubes, the service guy said, "Oh, yeah, they do that..."

Good looking, dual-zone system chills to proper temperatures, but this is noisiest and gurgling refrigeration system I've heard. Tried restarting, still the noise continues. When the system is at temp, quiet.I purchased 2 of these wine coolers 3yrs ago. The first one died after 6months. Haier took over 3 months and replace every electronic part in it to fix it, but couldn't. After much arguing, they finally sent me a replacement. 2yrs later, the replacement fridge and the second one I intially bought have both failed. They all 3 did the same thing. All of a sudden it would show one zone at 45degrees and the other at 77degrees. When you open the fridge you can tell by feeling the bottles that those temperatures are actually reversed, as far as the zone goes. Either way, there is no adjusting the temperature and half the wine is almost frozen (actually had ice/frost layer build up on my wine, or it is warm to the touch. A terrible product from a company that has terrible customer service. I wouldnt recommend this product to anyone. Keep in mind this happened on 3 of this exact same unit. That is not a coincidence. Just a crappy product.I dont have a very large quantity bottles of wine but once in a while I like to enjoy some, so I receive the box with my wine cooler in perfectly condition and I really like the shape and size of this item, I start and I set the temperatures of whites and red wine it was so easy to set and in 1.5 hours the temperatures was set as I put it. Im enjoying this item that Im thinking to buy another one.Sunday, August 18, 2013

Whirlpool 25 Cu. Ft. Black Side-By-Side Refrigerator - ED5KVEXVB
We have been in our house for 6 months and the water filter needs replaced...normal wear and tear. We like the lock feature on the ice/water dispenser because our 17 month old likes to press the paddles. We have had to take drawers out to clean and it was tricky but doable. The storage shelves in the doors are easily movable and the freezer has worked well so far. We have a deep freezer so only use the small freezer for regular use items.
It isn't the fridge we would have bought ourselves, but for the money compared to what is out there we are happy with it.
Buy Whirlpool 25 Cu. Ft. Black Side-By-Side Refrigerator - ED5KVEXVB Now
One year and one week, just outside the warranty the auto-defrost thing broke. The back of the freezer is covered in frost. The top of the freezer wasn't cold which ended up thawing some chicken which dripped chicken juice into the ice bin. (I know better than storing meat on top but that isn't the point, I will review me elsewhere) Everything in the top half of the freezer had to be thrown out. Ice maker won't make ice now. I believe all the cooling happens in the freezer and then is blown into the refrigerator so all the food in the fridge is bad now. Beside the 1 year lifespan of the product there are some other things that bother me.The water filter is nothing more than a timer. There is now way of knowing when the filter actually has to be replaced. Family of 12 will get the water filter light at the same time a single will. Water filters cost a lot, 60 bucks for two. Since the water is filtered I wouldn't think it would stain so much. There are big white stains on the drip plate but scrubbing it or putting into the dishwasher won't remove them.
The drawers and shelves in the refer section are very tough to get out.
Perhaps I just got a lemon and am not happy about having to fix a refrigerator after only 12 months. The first month it wasn't even used since the house was new and we hadn't moved in yet. Since then just two adults use it so it isn't getting beat up or anything. I can't imagine the fix to be cheapif I knew how to repair appliances perhaps it could be fixed for a hundred bucks or so but since I can't I am guessing just the repairman coming out will cost that much. Start counting in the cost of lost food and that easily will be over $100 with having to replace frozen meat, meals, mayo, milk, sour cream, dressings...
If this had not broken down then I would give it a three star review. Since it broke down so quickly I would give it a zero if that was an option. Since it isn't and I realize maybe this is just a fluke I will round up to two stars (remembering 1 is the lowest and not zero, if zero was the lowest it would get a 1).

We got this refrigerator to replace one that had been here for 20-30 yrs. Exact same fridge, we really didn't have a choice based on the hole in the wall. EVERYTHING scratches the front of this new refrigerator. Before I even moved in, it looks like contractors propped a broom or something against it which scratched up the front. We put a few magnets on the fridge.... completely scratched up the front!I love the ice maker and water dispenser. The water runs slow, but we have it set up on a double filter.
Even with all the packing material and plastic films, the fridge had big greasy handprints on the sides when it showed up. I needed to use a de-greasing solution to get it off.

This refrigerator Has serious design flaws in the shelving system. Two of mine have broken in less than two years and I have never put more than one gallon of milk and a few other much lighter weight items on them at a time. The replacement parts for one shelf are between $101 and $120 depending on place of purchase. This does not include the glass. It is just the plastic frame. At the current rate of breakage, I will have between $1000.00 and $1500 in shelf replacement if I keep this refrigerator for 10 years.--Don't buy it--it is a piece of junk and Whirlpool does not stand behind their product if it is over a year old.
