LG 5.4 CF GAS RANGE WITH CONVECTION SS

LG 5.4 CF GAS RANGE WITH CONVECTION SS
  • 5 Sealed Burners
  • 19,000 BTU UltraHeat Burner
  • Continuous Grates
  • 5.4 cu. ft. EvenJet Convection Oven
  • Self-Clean

I don't think there is a better gas range on the market. I've had my LG-LRG3097ST for over 6 months and it has performed admirably. The warming tray works great and I'm looking forward to using it during the holidays. The only concern I would have would be the ease of turning on the top burners. If you have small children, I would invest in safety knobs. While cleaning the range top, I leaned in and poof..the burner went on. Could have been disastrous! Otherwise, cleans up well and love the three racks. I can bake three trays of cookies easily.

I have only had it for a few weeks, but so far it is great! Burners are as described and heat evenly. Looks great too.

Don't EVER, EVER, EVER consider buying this range!!! It took 2 1/5 months to get it, and the oven doesn't work. Total crap.

Wine Enthusiast Silent 12 Bottle 2-Temp Touchscreen Wine Refrigerator

Wine Enthusiast Silent 12 Bottle 2-Temp Touchscreen Wine Refrigerator
  • Dual Zone for Reds & Whites
  • Silent Cooling Technology
  • Temperature range: 45-65F
  • Touchscreen controls
  • 12 Bottle Capacity

I bought this unit in early January. It arrived quickly and looks great. After six months the left side no longer cools. Two emails and one voice mail to Wine Enthusiast have gone completely unanswered. Save yourself the time and money. Buy a more expensive unit that will last longer, or if it breaks someone at the company will care!

Purchased one of these wine refrigerators on October 1st on 2012. It was shipped to us and we set it up, turned it on and it seemed to work fine. We went on vacation end of December and came home to find that zone 1 which was set to 56 degrees had gone up to 70 degrees and zone 2 which was set to 64 degrees was now at 68 degrees. Neither zone would go to the set level. Went on line to Amazon and their return policy was one month. THE MANUFACTURER WON'T HONOR the warranty when sold by a third party, so basically we could have flushed the $190.00 that we paid for this product down the toilet and been just as well off as we are today. AS THE HEADLINE SAYS.... DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT!!! As a matter of fact, I will in the future boycott all products from Wine Enthusiast!!!

This thing is bigger than you might think--being just a 12 bottle unit. It is also heavy, so moving it around isn't easy. It is well packed but that makes the box bulky--hard to handle by yourself. My unit started working fine, then went through a week of throwing display fits--lighting up all elements. Had to guess at temperature settings. It also would periodically BEEP for no good reason, sometimes sounding like the roadrunner. However, after a week or so of that, it has returned to normal operation. Having discarded the carton and considering the hassle, I would not have sent it back regardless (and it has always cooled). Oh--it is also not quite as 'silent' as described--at least not if you are sitting anywhere near. I ended up moving it away from my living areas.

I bought this because it was exactly the size I wanted and it had a dual zone temp control. However, if I put more than two bottles in one side, it won't cool lower than 56 degrees on that side, no matter how long I leave it closed. I am going to return it.

I bought this at the end of last summer because it fit perfectly on a counter space below another shelf in my kitchen, and the price was great. Looks elegant and runs pretty quietly. Sometimes the temperature dial stops responding, but I've found unplugging and resetting the unit can get that back. However, after about 7 months the right side stopped cooling, so I now only have a 6 bottle cooler :(

I'd suggest spending more for a better quality unit (I wish I had.)

EdgeStar 148 Can Stainless Steel Beverage Cooler

EdgeStar 148 Can Stainless Steel Beverage Cooler
  • Temperature range: 38-50 degrees F
  • Powerful compressor-based cooling
  • Digital temperature controls
  • Includes glass shelves, black dotted glass door tint
  • Incandescent interior lighting displays beer and beverages

This product just doesn't seem to work well. For the first month or so, it was able to get down to about 38 (the lowest setting) , but now it just keeps going all the time and doesn't get below 46. On another note, Home Depot apparently sells a unit just like this for 1/2 the price. I don't usually have buyers regret, but in this case I do.

Cuisinart CWC-1200DZ 12-Bottle Dual Zone Wine Cellar

Cuisinart CWC-1200DZ 12-Bottle Dual Zone Wine Cellar
  • 12-bottle wine cellar; dual zone, double door compartments allow for2 different temperature zones for whites and reds
  • Dual fan system with individual thermoelectric cooling units for each zone, reduce noise and vibration
  • Touchpad manually adjusts temperature using +/- with a range of 39°f - 68°f displayedin blue led
  • Soft interior lighting with on/off control for individual zones; 6 chrome contoured racks designed to hold 750ml bottles
  • Double-pane, tinted viewing window; limited 3-year warranty

I couldn't find any reviews on this particular item from Cuisinart, so it looks like I may be the first. There appeared to be a lot of dissatisfaction with their 8-space single temperature unit, so I opted to spend more to get extra bottle space and go for the dual zone. I've had it for three weeks now and it's perfect for my needs and is working beautifully. I drink mostly cabernets and sav blancs, so those bottle styles fit without scraping. I have a chardonnay bottle that I had to turn around and place head first so the bottom of the bottle is what's showing, but at least it works. It is quiet if you lean in closely, you can hear a soft whirring fan, but otherwise, quiet as a mouse. It is placed on a countertop of a built-in unit in my small condo living room, so it's in a pretty open space and has room to breathe. There is a drip-tray that slides in the bottom and I've checked for water and haven't seen any. It chilled quickly I have the white zone set to 40 and the red zone set to 63 and am very happy with the temperature feel of the bottles and the wine when I remove and serve. It looks really cool at night with the lights on, but I mostly keep them off. Lastly, I do use a Vacu-Vin cork sometimes and have found that I'm able to re-seal a bottle, place in the unit and close the door. (The Vacu-Vin cork adds length to the bottle, but the glass in the doors is mounted so that there's room.) If I come up with anything else, I'll update this review, but I have to say I'm happy with my purchase and having fun keeping it stocked!

Our first purchase of this wine cellar and it didnt even turn on, returned no problems with Amazon. Second try and it works, it looks great but thats about the best of it.

It depends on the outside temperature, so in winter the red wine is not warm enough and in summer the white wine is not cold enough. We'd say if you really like your wine at the right temperature just spend the money and get a proper one.

Viking Professional VCFF136DSS 36 19.8 cu. ft. Counter-Depth French Door Refrigerator - Stainless S

Viking Professional VCFF136DSS 36 19.8 cu. ft. Counter-Depth French Door Refrigerator - Stainless SteelI bought this appliance for its great looks and perceived reputation. I came home from vacation to discover that the fridge froze bottles on the right side, one of which exploded! Then the water line is just drip-dripping. Not a great start! The shelves are flimsy and poorly designed and you have to open BOTH side doors to open the produce drawer. A major design flaw.

Its very quiet, and sleek, and so far everything is at least WORKING....with the exception of the freezing issue and the water line.

WOuld I buy this product again? NOPE! NEVER!

I bought this for our office. It sits about 10 feet from my desk and after about 5 minutes of it being plugged in, I felt like I was in the Bermuda Triangle again, just waiting until I found my home at the bottom of the sea. Shwoooooo. That's what this thing sounds like.

It takes a while to get something cold, and there's always a block of ice in the back of the machine. To my knowledge there isn't a warmer or colder setting, so that seems to be a flaw in manufacturing. Either that or that's just the way they come, I'm not sure.

Anyway, yeah it's loud, but it looks nice and in my line of work it's all about presentation. 4 Stars simply because it does what I need it to without much fuss, and the noise provides a nice ambiance at work. More so than the phones ringing...

I bought this product as a christmas gift for my sister and her boyfriend, and they love it!! If they are happy then I am happy. So it was a job well done, for the price of the product and happiness, it was well worth it. :)

  • Green Filter for Samsung DA29-00012B NSF Certified Refrigerator Water Filter,...

I purchased a pack of these filters for my refrigerator. Upon arrival I followed the enclosed instruction and both of the filters leaked after installation (the original one never leaked at all, even after I reinstalled it). I contacted the seller and was informed that I should return them for a full refund, including return shipping. I returned the filters and wasn't refunded fully on the return shipping. The excuse was that Amazon would only allow a $9.00 refund even though it cost me $12.80 to return them. Bottom line is that the filters are of a defective design (the connections are poorly made) and I am still out $3.80 with nothing but aggravation to show for my original purchase. I don't recommend that you purchase these filters.

Bosch B22CS30SNS 300 22.1 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel Counter Depth Side-By-Side Refrigerator - Energy

Bosch B22CS30SNS 300 22.1 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel Counter Depth Side-By-Side Refrigerator - Energy StarThe delivery people dropped this off, and we unplugged it almost immediately due to a high pitched, headache-inducing noise when the compressor comes on (verified by visitors to our home). The service person from our vendor came the next day, agreed upon the noise and thought there was an issue with the compressor. He had our salesperson replace our refrigerator with another new one. The new one had the same problem, so we contacted Bosch directly and they sent their representatives out. They could not find an issue with it. Our vendor's service person came out again and called his Bosch representative, who noted a similar problem with a prior model and suggested replacing a board. The board was replaced, but the problem persists. Bosch and our service person had no alternative solutions and we are now returning the refrigerator altogether.

We purchased several other Bosch appliances at the same time (dishwasher, stove, washer, dryer) and found them all to be great; sturdy and quiet. We are extremely disappointed and unsure what we will end up buying. The only other Bosch refrigerators available to us are in the same series (we have 300, 500 and 800 appear to be the same except for more features) so we are afraid they will have the same problem and are looking at other manufacturers.

Got our first Bosch, and it was great. Quiet and beautiful to look at. But a defect inside allowed the glass shelves to fall off their pegs, just as you put a gallon of milk on it. Bosch came out and condemned the unit. I was impressed. Out comes #2 refrig. Plugged it in and the compressor sounded awful. A metallic rubbing sound inside the compressor. Could hear it across the house. Ice maker did not work. Out came Bosch, who replaced the ice maker but said the compressor was fine. Well the compressor noise has gotten louder, and now the ice maker died again. Also the refrig has a door open alarm feature. Well, my kids left a fruit drawer out a little, which caused the door not to close all the way. I woke up the next morning to a refrigerator that was 50 degrees inside, and no alarm sounded. Out comes Bosch for the third time. He condemns the compressor, ice maker, and a computer board. I contact customer service and demand a new machine, as it is only 2 months old. "Sorry, our warranty says we fix it, so thats what you get" She also refuses to let me talk to anyone higher than her " I am as high as you can get" she says.

I purchased it from Fergusen Enterprises, a wholesaler to the construction market. Jeff at Fergusen in Downers Grove Illinois, stepped in and pressured Bosch to replace the unit. We are currently waiting for Unit #3 to arrive.

Bought this fridge last July from HHGregg and I am so disappointed in it.

Besides the fact it is extremly loud, you can't keep the doors open more than 10 seconds or it starts beeping at you. I've read about this and you can't change it.

Besides that, everytime we put the milk in the door the molding around the milk drawer pops off. At this point, it has happened so many times that we can't get the molding back on.

The latest is the ice machine stopped working. I called Bosch and this was a joke. They didn't seem to care.

So I talked with HHGregg and they gave me a # to a service place they use.

I have been waiting for TWO WEEKS for Bosch to mail the new ice machine. It is under warranty, so that is nice but just another pain.

Not to be outdone, now the 'alarm' comes on periodically. This never happened before, but started when the ice issues started.

So now it'll be three in the morning and the fridge alarm will be beeping.

If I could go back and get another fridge I would.

Only six months old we were choosing between a GE and a Bosch and bought the Bosch because it was German made and seems well built. It certainly is attractive.

1) Long and shortspend any time in Europe and see how many Germans use ice makers-none. Guess that's the reason Bosch has made such a mess of the ice-maker. Every time you go to get a few cubes, 10 of them fall all over the floor. Every time. 2) When it gets full, the ice-maker stops. And then never restarts again when it's empty unless you manually restart it. This means you spend a lot of time with an empty icebin (surprise...) 3) For no reason, 2 months ago the fridge started to run 24 hours a day, our of the blue. Our electric bill doubled during that time. We now need to get the vendor's service people out. What a hassle for a new fridge. 4) The alarm goes off after 1min. Incredibly annoying when filling the fridge... so we turn off the fridge to fill it. And... then often forget to turn it back on. A real design flaw.

Bottom line: Bosch hasn't figured out fridges for the US market yet. What a disappointment. Next time, based on our experience and the reviews in Consumer Reports, we'd pick the GE for sure. I wish that we never picked this model, or Bosch. We won't again.

Want Bosch B22CS30SNS 300 22.1 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel Counter Depth Side-By-Side Refrigerator - Energy Discount?

We bought this thinking it must be the Porsche of refrigerators, judging by its manufacturer. It's actually the Fiat of iceboxes. Ours lasted exactly 30 days before both the freezer and refrigerator side died totally. The vaunted "self-diagnosis" test feature didn't work properly even though there was still power to the refrigerator, but never mind, I knew the reefer was dead--there was a big puddle of water on the kitchen floor where all the ice had melted and run out through the door icemaker. And as for that ice-maker, it never worked right anyway--dispensed either crushed or whole ice on a whim regardless of which button you pushed. Is Bosch manufacturing these things in Somalia, maybe?

Two-week-later update: I can now confidently say this is not only the worst refrigerator I have ever owned, it is the worst PRODUCT I have ever owned. Car, TV, coffeegrinder, chainsaw, power drill, computer, dildo...the worst. The icemaker makes so little ice that if we have another couple or two over for drinks and dinner, we need to first run up to the 7-11 and buy a $2 bag of ice. And if the freezer has had two or three days to make a minimal quantity of ice, you push the ice dispenser button on the door to fill a glass and nothing happens but a lot of grumbing/grinding sound. Then open the freezer drawer to try and get some ice manually and about a quart of ice cubes and crushed ice cascades out all over the floor. Great party ice-breaker, pun intended.

Bosch's contracted service people have, of course, been here. They left, shaking their heads, saying they'd have to consult with Bosch but that usually took a few weeks to get a reaction out of Bosch Central and they hoped nothing went wrong again in the meantime. "I HATE working on Bosch stuff," the service guy said. Me too.

Update: I've now had the refrigerator for 10 months. The above problem was solved (I hope permanantly) by totally replacing all of the refrigerator's electronics--two large circuit boards in compartments atop the refrigerator.

Now the ice-maker has failed. Zero. No ice. Two weeks ago, the entire ice-maker was replaced. Today, the new ice-maker has totally failed. (As for the above problem of the ice-maker making crushed ice when you want cubes, the service guy said, "Oh, yeah, they do that..."

Electrolux EWDW6505GS Wave-Touch 24" Stainless Steel Fully Integrated Dishwasher - Energy Star

Electrolux EWDW6505GS Wave-Touch 24' Stainless Steel Fully Integrated Dishwasher - Energy Star
  • Electrolux
  • Electrolux EWDW6505GS Fully Integrated Dishwasher with 9 Wash Cycles Nylon Racks WaveTouch Control and Silence Rating of 45 dB Stainless Steel
  • EWDW6505GS
  • Electrolux - EWDW6505GS

The below is a running commentary on this unit, from original 2008 purchase to 2010.

This is a great looking unit with a lot of nice features. We may just have gotten a bad one, so take this for what it is worth, but we have been pretty frustrated. The unit keeps showing Code 1 and refuses to work. I called Electrolux Customer Service, who I must say were honest and stated that their engineers had misdesigned the computer board and they were having a lot of problems. Said they had redesigned the board and would get one right to us. About four days later a repairman changed the board out. Only problem, it is still showing Code 1--a leak in the tub. So we have a brand new $1300 dishwasher that a contract repairman must completely take apart to fix a seal in the unit. Not what I would expect for a high-end product. Wish we had gone with the Bosch.

Want to amend my review a little, and raise this to four stars. The above unit was defective. Lets face it, no company is perfect and everyone produces a lemon every once and a while. I must say that Electrolux customer service was great to deal with. After I told them that the panel replacement had not fixed the issue, they immediately stated they would replace the entire unit. We have the new unit in and it is a very nice dishwasher. Its quiet, does a good job, and has a lot of room inside. My only complaint would be that if your dishwasher is to the left of your sink, sometimes you will accidentally hit the touch panel on top of the door. Not a big issue though. We are happy with the unit, so I take back my words about preferring the Bosch.

Well, I will go down to 1 star. Now, almost two years later, and all of the above, guess what we got with the new unit--Code 1--a leak in the tub, only this time it was also leaking water on the floor. I called customer service, but they told me that it was past its warranty, so I would have to fix it on my dime. After I complained about the trouble we have had with the unit, they agreed to send a parts kit and a repairman, but stated this would be the last time they would cover anything. If they hadn't agreed parts and labor would have been $350 on a unit less than two years old. Got the parts kit quickly, and the repairman changed out the parts--including one of the pumps which his tests determined was also failing--it had become really loud. It is now working, although I have no idea how long it will be before the next problem. At the next problem, I'm not calling Electrolux, I'm just throwing this dishwasher out and buying a Bosch. I would never buy this dishwasher again, nor frankly would I buy any additional Electrolux appliances. My family members have $500 dishwashers which have lasted far longer and frankly clean the dishes better than this appliance. This is not an Electrolux of European quality, its a Frigidaire with Electrolux stamped on the outside. Electrolux is doing itself some serious damage in the US market with appliances like this. We also have their gas range, which I have also rated poorly, because of some easily avoidable poor design features. Avoid this dishwasher!!

December 2010 :) The happy face is because sometimes in life you just have to laugh!!! So after the last fix it has lasted 8 months. Tonight Error Code 1. I'm staying true to my last comment, its going in the garbage and I will buy a Bosch tomorrow. This is clearly a case of a manufacturer foisting a defective product on the public. I'm going to review the California Lemon Law and possibly discuss with an attorney. This is a $1300 appliance!!! Quite simply, unbelievable!!!

The worst. Let me repeat myself. The....worst.... dishwasher... ever... made. I'll never buy anything with the name Electrolux on it again. Three solid years of service calls for various and sundry problems, and today is yet another call,; this time my dishes are not just dirty, they actually smell! Save yourself years of frustration and buy a cheaper dishwasher, and make sure it's NOT an Electrolux. Heck, you could even get more satisfaction from having goats lick your dishes clean.

I was really scared by all these negative reviews. However, we went to the store with my tallest cutting board, cookie sheets and casserole dishes in hand. The Electrolux was the only one that actually fit everything in without the water sprayer thing hitting the tops of the dishes as it spun. Despite the negative reviews we read on Amazon, this dishwasher is fabulous! No leaks, no dreaded Error codes, nothing but clean & dry dishes (it even took really hard water stains off the glasses that had been deposited by the previous dishwasher)...oh, and did I mention that it is virtually silent? Awesome! I am glad that we bought we plan to bring it with us when we move!

Want Electrolux EWDW6505GS Wave-Touch 24" Stainless Steel Fully Integrated Dishwasher - Energy Star Discount?

I bought this dishwasher because, stupid me, I was sold by the great commercial, the cute little blue light, the large size, and, the main reason--how quiet it was. It has been a disaster ever since. We get code 01 all the time--just like ALLLLLL the other people who are upset here! Our dishwasher does a HORRIBLE job of cleaning dishes--just like all the other people said. I need to put it on Heavy wash just to barely get things clean. My glasses are always filthy. I wash most things by hand. It isn't quiet anymore (a little over a year old.) It doesn't drain some of the time. So, here I am, stuck with a horrible dishwasher that doesn't clean, always breaks, doesn't drain, and isn't even quiet anymore. AND, I paid 1200 bucks to get this ridiculous thing!!! I have never been so upset. Our warranty was a year, and we are over a year, so, it is all on our dime now. It is 16 months old--and these problems started right at the one year mark--right when the warranty stopped. Of course. How perfect. I almost feel like they planned it that way--well, of course they couldn't do that, but, if they can charge people enormous amounts of money for such a defective product, then, who knows what else they may have done, right? If, after all of these horrible reviews, you STILL decide to buy this lemon of a machine, then, you're seriously troubled.

We have has this unit (EIDW6105GS1)for just over 2 years and it has been nothing but problems. Pump was replaced under warranty at 1 yr.. Now the pump has gone out again. The lower door seal tears when the dish rack catches it. For a high end machine, it has too many problems.

06/09/2011: Well had a repairman look at it and was told it needed a new wash pump and controller board to the tune od $500.00 + with labor, so after 2 years no we have junked it. I inatalled a new Bosch dishwasher Saturday. It's not as quiet as the Electrolux but cleans dishes 100% better.

My advise, run away from anything Electrolux.

It was working fine one day, then stopped cooling the next day, even though all fans and lights looked normal. These units seem to have a reputation for failing after 1-2 years. I won't buy one again and do not recommend that you buy one unless you don't mind buying a new one every 1-2 years. BTW, I bought it with my platinum mastercard. MasterCard will extend the manufacturer's one year warranty to 2 years so I am making a claim with mastercard. We'll see how that turns out.

We purchased a lowboy 21 months ago and the compressor went on it already. Our technician said the compressor is an old style and looked to be a rebuilt compressor. When confronted they showed no concern and denied it. It has left us in bad shape this close to Christmas as a restaurant with all the Christmas parties we are holding for people and we cannot get another this close to Christmas, no delivery. We are screwed. Cooltech doesn't care they got their money. There is a reason they only have a one year warranty. I just say beware of dealing with these people.

I purchased a merchandiser and dry display case from Cooltech and I am shocked at the poor design and quality of the merchandiser. The racks are ill fitting, the bracketss were rusted (new unit). They attempted to come out and fix it and in the process damaged the unit with dents and dings to the steel and made it look even worse. Really unbelievable.
