Summit : FF1325SS 10.4 cu. ft. Counter-Depth Top-Freezer Refrigerator - Stainless Steel Doors

Summit : FF1325SS 10.4 cu. ft. Counter-Depth Top-Freezer Refrigerator - Stainless Steel Doors
  • Adjustable Glass Shelves
  • Door Storage
  • Large Freezer Compartment
  • Interior Light
  • Fingerprint-Free Stainless Steel Doors: No Ice Maker

I purchased this fridge because I had a tiny kitchen. On a cu ft basis it is one of the most expensive fridges you can buy. I have redone 3 kitchens in the past 5 years, and have spent about $30,000 on appliances. I have never seen such poor quality. The MAIN problem is that the refrigerator slopes--the bottom is 2" further away from the wall than the top even after I adjust the legs as far into the cavity as possible--it looks like a s___ show. I called Mark Goldman (Summit customer service) to help solving the problem. First he claimed this was how the fridge was designed--the door should close slowly. I said it doesn't--it SLAMS shut. Then clearly demonstrating the design story was invalid, Mark told me I could build up my floor with shims! I said that was ridiculous for $1000 fridge (it's $300 extra for the icemaker). He said I needed proof there was a problem, so I sent an email with a photo of the slanted fridge and a photo of a 36" level on the floor to show it was level (i tried to paste photos here, but can't). Under pressure from the retailer, Summit sent a service rep. The service rep agreed the floor was level and the legs were into the cavity, so there was nothing he could do to fix the problem--that there was clearly a manufacturing or design flaw. When Summit received this information, they said since it wasn't a MANUFACTURING flaw (it was the design flaw--so ALL fridges will have the same problem), they weren't required to do anything about it. So I'm living with the problem.

As an aside, the rest of the quality is no better. the produce drawer is plastic and doesn't slide on the guides well, so soon it will break no matter how careful I am.

I relied heavily on reviews so wanted to leave one myself. Forget the model number but I got the bottom freezer, SS, icemaker, roughly 2'x6' in 2011. A lot of what I read was true: cheap drawers, after you close the frig door it gets sucked in for 10-15 seconds. Not a big deal as a 2nd unit but if it were in my main kitchen this (& the drawers perhaps) would get on my nerves at times (still if you had to have a small frig I think you can get used to it). I read where noise was a big issue. I've heard it come on but has never bothered me. If there were long spells where I was quiet in the same area then maybe; but so far I've barely noticed it. Also, very pleased w the interior space/shelf options for the room it takes up (again 2nd frig).

I've had it about 3-4 months and (knock on wood) haven't had any problems. Actually I love it since it fits perfectly and has everything I wanted: tall, thin, bottom freezer, icemaker AND counterdepth!...didn't think all that was possible. I was dubious from some negative reviews but after an exhaustive search Summit was the only brand that had all these things. If you're in the same situation then I say pull the trigger and buy it but try to work out some kind of insurance if it does fail on you or you don't like it for some reason. Good luck!

I ordered this item for my Kenmore Dishwasher the top Rack had broken after 8 Years of use and I wanted to fix it. A quick search helped me to discover the correct part number and some price comparison helped me to prove that Amazon had the best price. 4 Stars because the part was about 5 days late but that can't be helped sometimes and you can't complain with free shipping. The vendor was really good any time I contacted them. I bought two because the other one was just as old and by the time the parts arrived I needed both. The part was installed in seconds and the dishwasher is back in business.

****Update****

4-9-2013

About 6 months later the parts are failing. The blue clips seem to be inferior as compaired to the original equipment. The blue plastic is bending under the weight of an average top shelf load of dishes. I wrote the vendor and I was told that there was no warranty replacements because it was too long ago that I had ordered the part however they would be happy to sell me another set. Instead I took the wheels off of the new parts and repaired the original parts with the wheels from the new parts. I hope the wheels last longer than the adjusting clip.

Water Sentinel WSW-2 Replacement Fridge Filter, 2 PACK

Water Sentinel WSW-2 Replacement Fridge Filter, 2 PACKI have purchased these filters for our refrigerator at both our homes and have been very pleased with the water they produce. The tap water at our home in Florida is discolored and has a strong chlorine odor. The filtered water is perfectly clear and all the chlorine taste and odor is removed. These filters work just as well as the brand name filters that cost twice as much. I will buy these filters again. There is no need to turn off the water source and the replacement takes less than 15 seconds.

After much consideration and time I finally decided to replace the filter in my refrigerator. It was easy and there is no reason not to replace this the next time. It's easy and the product makes it simple to do.

You can't beat these filters. I've used them for years and have never been disappointed. Buy them in a pair, so you only have to order once a year.

Laguna Clear Fast Pond Water Clarifier - 67.5 Ounces

Laguna Clear Fast Pond Water Clarifier - 67.5 OuncesI have a 750 gallon pond which I am proud to say I setup myself. I was disappointed when my water turned green from the sun. As I had no experience with this before I went searching for something to get rid of the green water. Came to Amazon and I found this, Laguna Clear Fast which really does clear fast. It contains no harmful chemicals to hurt any of the animals that drink from the waterfall nor the birds that at times bathe also where the waterfall is. Green water one day, crystal clear the next. Easy to use and it works. Won't buy any other product except this one.

This is a wonderful product that really helps to keep your pond looking clear and clean. We ordered the product and it arrived ahead of schedule and in great condition.!

This product worked great in the pond. It really worked fast. I would use it again.

This stuff is great. It works fast, and without any negative effects. I have tried a lot of different products (I hate adding anything to the pond, but sometimes you just have to take action.) and this is the safest, smoothest, most stress free product I have used.

We found this product last year when our pond got cloudy and it worked beautifully. I happened to run across it when browsing pond products on amazon and I couldn't believe the price. If I went to the store here to purchase it I would only have gotten 2-8oz bottles. You better believe I couldn't pass it up. This brand works so well I love having it on hand.

17.7 cu. ft. Designer All Refrigerator

17.7 cu. ft. Designer All Refrigerator
  • 17.7 cu. ft. capacity all refrigerator
  • Frost-free operation
  • Dual see-thru vegetable crispers with glass cover
  • Ample door shelving and tall bottle storage
  • Reversible door hinge for left or right hand opening

While I love having an all-refrigerator the appearance on delivery wasn't what I expected. Having nothing to do with the performance of the appliance there are dents all along both sides along the bottom and the butter keeper door is broken upon delivery. There were no indications of damage on the box it came in so I believe the damange happened before it was shipped. I was under the impression that I would be receiving a NEW appliance for the price I paid for it NOT a scratch and dent item!! All in all it does work beautifully and the sides where the dents are are hidden. I can do without the butter keeper cover.

Frigidaire FFBC46F5LS: Frigidaire 138 12 oz. Can Capacity Beverage Center

Frigidaire FFBC46F5LS: Frigidaire 138 12 oz. Can Capacity Beverage CenterWe purchased this for a basement remodel in the kitchen area. It is not sold as a built in unit so we did leave 3 inches of space around the top/sides and back. I have read numerous reviews on Lowes.com and Fridigaire that stated they are using it as a built in and have not had problems. The thing I like best about this fridge is that I keeps cool (mid to low 30s if you want). I wanted to be able to use it for food and it has worked great so far. I used my own thermometer to check temps and it is right on. I believe it hits the designated temperature and goes up 3 degrees before kicking in to cool again. I do not find this particularly noisy, it does not sound like a typical compressor, but rather more like a swishing noise like liquid is moving around. While it is noticeable it is not bad and again, much better than a compressor nose that you would hear in smaller cube refrigerators. As for looks, it is gorgeous. It definitely looks more expensive than it was. We paid three hundred and ninety nine dollars less 10% at Lowes. Nothing else came near this that could actually keep the temps in the 30s. We are very happy with our purchase. One other thing to note is that the handle on the top is fantastic. It is so much easier to open without bending to reach for the handle. The shelves are made of glass and look great with the blue light inside. I prefer these to the typical wire shelves. Another nice feature is that the door beeps when you open it and will continue to beep again if it is left open too long. Also it has a lock which is nice if you are storing beverages you don't want the kids to have access to.

This refrigerator has a good capacity, and it keeps items cold. However, when it is cooling (about twice an hour), it is fairly loud. I have the refrigerator in a medium room, and it is definitely noticeable. The shelves are also arranged at odd intervals that do not easily allow adjustment for tall and short beverages. I probably would not buy this unit again due to the noise.

Buy Frigidaire FFBC46F5LS: Frigidaire 138 12 oz. Can Capacity Beverage Center Now

We've been using this beverage center for almost three weeks -it's built into a wall cabinet in our kitchen, and I must say it looks really nice in a high end kitchen. We chose this one for the price, weren't willing to spend $1000 on another similar product. Overall we are pretty happy with it. I don't notice any noise whatsoever coming from it, but the cabinets (and kids!) may muffle any noise the other reviews complained about. My biggest complaint is with the door: if you give it a gentle push to shut with an elbow, the door very often bounces back open. I find it frustrating to find the temperature at 60 degrees midway through the day, only to realize the door is slightly ajar -and the light shuts off when the door is almost shut, giving no clue that the door has been left open. It happens for grownups too, and we've found if you don't push it all the way shut to make sure it latches, it stays open about half the time. It's made for a training period for all of us!

The shelves have a really odd distance between them -top shelf with just barely fit 16 oz ice tea bottles and water bottles (no 24oz pops going in this thing any way but on their side). In order to have space for the normal size water bottles, it leaves one shelf with only enough space to put bottles/cans on their side -lowest only goes so low, and just leaves an odd spacing. I may be able to squeeze 138 juice packs into this thing, but not pop cans. This would not deter me from buying it again for the price, but would like to see them maybe put a stronger magnet in the door and make the shelving better (or at least more options) -and I feel these issues are big enough to give it just three stars. Good, but needs improvement!

Update: so we've been using this for 5 months, and have realized that water somehow manages to freeze on the inside back of the freezer (I think just poor air circulation overall, as beverages at the back are freezing cold, and ones at the front are just cold), and every time we add beverages, this ice thaws, runs down behind the shelves and puddles on the bottom of the cooler. I'm just not impressed with the model... We keep it set at 46 (our diet pop freezes & explodes if you go any colder than this -but only at the back). Downgraded to 2 stars! And I see the price has gone up 25% -I personally would spend a little more and get a better style.

We bought this at another retailer and brought it home. Despite changing the temperature up and down several times along with moving the cans further away from the back wall, we still had cans constantly exploding. The coils are only on the back wall so the rear of the fridge is much colder than the front. When the cooler went on it would freeze the rear cans and they would explode. We tried everything to keep it but to no avail.

Want Frigidaire FFBC46F5LS: Frigidaire 138 12 oz. Can Capacity Beverage Center Discount?

I got this at LOWES due to an error on pricing for about 100 bucks less then the normal price. The compressor is loud on this, however, I don't find it annoying. The fridge definitely keeps things cold. It's a little cumbersome to set the temp but I have yet to have a problem with a warm drink. In fact sometimes the drinks are frozen.

Definitely worth it.

I purchased this fridge from another vendor and I was happy with it except it died after about 2 years of use. I looked into getting it repaired, but the person I spoke to said it would be more cost effective to replace it due to the labor charges. I saw on the Target website that another person had the same experience, so it seems the longevity of this product is in question.

I guess the person who wrote a good review is from the seller or someone who got the ONE good product this company put out. I would be highly skeptical of any rating of a Haier product that's higher than 1 star. I only gave it one star because negative stars are not an option. This is one of the worst purchases I have ever made. It arrived with a warped door. I tried for a month to contact customer service by phone and by email. I never got any response from them ever. And while the product worked, owning it was a chore.

I got rid of it in a yard sale for a tenth of the price I paid. I let the person know why I was getting rid of it. They just wanted it for their garage.

I can't believe Amazon is still selling Haier products.

And, Haier, you should just be ashamed of yourselves. Can't you just make an honest dollar?

I have one of these in my garage. It's positioned with nothing on either side of it. So far it has not got hot as stated in another review. I do have a freezer at home that gets hot on the sides when it goes into the auto-defrost cycle. So far that freezer has been running for 5 years.

Back to the fridge, I keep it packed with drinks and place a new one in for each that I take out and so far it's keeping everything nice and cold. I keep my garage climate controlled at a steady 70 degrees. I read somewhere that keeping a cooling appliance full helps it stay cold inside. Not sure if it's true but I try to keep everything reasonably full.

I took a chance on this because of the price and I figure that if it only runs a few years then at the price I'll just replace it. I hope that they don't stop making these. I found it cheaper at Sams Club and it was in stock to take home that day. I figure if I have any problems Sams will stand behind their products.

Good luck if you buy one of these....I don't regret it at all yet!

I purchased this refrigerator a year ago and the unit has stopped working. These are really cheap units and are not worth the money. The name says Black & Decker so you would think it is a good product, the problem is this is made in China by Haier and it is poorly maid. The warrantee is for one year because it only last one year. Read the reviews over at Wal-Mart and you will see most of the folks have had them fail after one year. Pure junk!

Does not have a compressor like a traditional mini fridge. It does not cool as well either. The coldest I can get mine down to is about 50 degrees on the coldest setting. After about a year mine completely quit working. I was able to fix it by taking off the back and cleaning an oiling the little fan that had stopped turning. After reading other reviews it seem everyone has the same problem. I would not buy one of these. Get a traditional mini fridge with a compressor. They get colder and last longer.

Electrolux EWDW6505GS Wave-Touch 24" Stainless Steel Fully Integrated Dishwasher - Energy Star

Electrolux EWDW6505GS Wave-Touch 24' Stainless Steel Fully Integrated Dishwasher - Energy Star
  • Electrolux
  • Electrolux EWDW6505GS Fully Integrated Dishwasher with 9 Wash Cycles Nylon Racks WaveTouch Control and Silence Rating of 45 dB Stainless Steel
  • EWDW6505GS
  • Electrolux - EWDW6505GS

The below is a running commentary on this unit, from original 2008 purchase to 2010.

This is a great looking unit with a lot of nice features. We may just have gotten a bad one, so take this for what it is worth, but we have been pretty frustrated. The unit keeps showing Code 1 and refuses to work. I called Electrolux Customer Service, who I must say were honest and stated that their engineers had misdesigned the computer board and they were having a lot of problems. Said they had redesigned the board and would get one right to us. About four days later a repairman changed the board out. Only problem, it is still showing Code 1--a leak in the tub. So we have a brand new $1300 dishwasher that a contract repairman must completely take apart to fix a seal in the unit. Not what I would expect for a high-end product. Wish we had gone with the Bosch.

Want to amend my review a little, and raise this to four stars. The above unit was defective. Lets face it, no company is perfect and everyone produces a lemon every once and a while. I must say that Electrolux customer service was great to deal with. After I told them that the panel replacement had not fixed the issue, they immediately stated they would replace the entire unit. We have the new unit in and it is a very nice dishwasher. Its quiet, does a good job, and has a lot of room inside. My only complaint would be that if your dishwasher is to the left of your sink, sometimes you will accidentally hit the touch panel on top of the door. Not a big issue though. We are happy with the unit, so I take back my words about preferring the Bosch.

Well, I will go down to 1 star. Now, almost two years later, and all of the above, guess what we got with the new unit--Code 1--a leak in the tub, only this time it was also leaking water on the floor. I called customer service, but they told me that it was past its warranty, so I would have to fix it on my dime. After I complained about the trouble we have had with the unit, they agreed to send a parts kit and a repairman, but stated this would be the last time they would cover anything. If they hadn't agreed parts and labor would have been $350 on a unit less than two years old. Got the parts kit quickly, and the repairman changed out the parts--including one of the pumps which his tests determined was also failing--it had become really loud. It is now working, although I have no idea how long it will be before the next problem. At the next problem, I'm not calling Electrolux, I'm just throwing this dishwasher out and buying a Bosch. I would never buy this dishwasher again, nor frankly would I buy any additional Electrolux appliances. My family members have $500 dishwashers which have lasted far longer and frankly clean the dishes better than this appliance. This is not an Electrolux of European quality, its a Frigidaire with Electrolux stamped on the outside. Electrolux is doing itself some serious damage in the US market with appliances like this. We also have their gas range, which I have also rated poorly, because of some easily avoidable poor design features. Avoid this dishwasher!!

December 2010 :) The happy face is because sometimes in life you just have to laugh!!! So after the last fix it has lasted 8 months. Tonight Error Code 1. I'm staying true to my last comment, its going in the garbage and I will buy a Bosch tomorrow. This is clearly a case of a manufacturer foisting a defective product on the public. I'm going to review the California Lemon Law and possibly discuss with an attorney. This is a $1300 appliance!!! Quite simply, unbelievable!!!

The worst. Let me repeat myself. The....worst.... dishwasher... ever... made. I'll never buy anything with the name Electrolux on it again. Three solid years of service calls for various and sundry problems, and today is yet another call,; this time my dishes are not just dirty, they actually smell! Save yourself years of frustration and buy a cheaper dishwasher, and make sure it's NOT an Electrolux. Heck, you could even get more satisfaction from having goats lick your dishes clean.

I was really scared by all these negative reviews. However, we went to the store with my tallest cutting board, cookie sheets and casserole dishes in hand. The Electrolux was the only one that actually fit everything in without the water sprayer thing hitting the tops of the dishes as it spun. Despite the negative reviews we read on Amazon, this dishwasher is fabulous! No leaks, no dreaded Error codes, nothing but clean & dry dishes (it even took really hard water stains off the glasses that had been deposited by the previous dishwasher)...oh, and did I mention that it is virtually silent? Awesome! I am glad that we bought we plan to bring it with us when we move!

Want Electrolux EWDW6505GS Wave-Touch 24" Stainless Steel Fully Integrated Dishwasher - Energy Star Discount?

I bought this dishwasher because, stupid me, I was sold by the great commercial, the cute little blue light, the large size, and, the main reason--how quiet it was. It has been a disaster ever since. We get code 01 all the time--just like ALLLLLL the other people who are upset here! Our dishwasher does a HORRIBLE job of cleaning dishes--just like all the other people said. I need to put it on Heavy wash just to barely get things clean. My glasses are always filthy. I wash most things by hand. It isn't quiet anymore (a little over a year old.) It doesn't drain some of the time. So, here I am, stuck with a horrible dishwasher that doesn't clean, always breaks, doesn't drain, and isn't even quiet anymore. AND, I paid 1200 bucks to get this ridiculous thing!!! I have never been so upset. Our warranty was a year, and we are over a year, so, it is all on our dime now. It is 16 months old--and these problems started right at the one year mark--right when the warranty stopped. Of course. How perfect. I almost feel like they planned it that way--well, of course they couldn't do that, but, if they can charge people enormous amounts of money for such a defective product, then, who knows what else they may have done, right? If, after all of these horrible reviews, you STILL decide to buy this lemon of a machine, then, you're seriously troubled.

We have has this unit (EIDW6105GS1)for just over 2 years and it has been nothing but problems. Pump was replaced under warranty at 1 yr.. Now the pump has gone out again. The lower door seal tears when the dish rack catches it. For a high end machine, it has too many problems.

06/09/2011: Well had a repairman look at it and was told it needed a new wash pump and controller board to the tune od $500.00 + with labor, so after 2 years no we have junked it. I inatalled a new Bosch dishwasher Saturday. It's not as quiet as the Electrolux but cleans dishes 100% better.

My advise, run away from anything Electrolux.

Kitchen Aid 20 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel French Door Refrigerator - KFIS20XVMS

Kitchen Aid 20 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel French Door Refrigerator - KFIS20XVMSThe worst part of the fridge which makes it destined for failure is the location of the condenser. Underneath the fridge, and below the condenser is an unnecessary piece of cardboard which holds an uncanny amount of dust.

In order to perform preventative maintenance on this fridge me and another two other individuals had to lift it up and support the unit on 2x4s first two inches up, then four inches off the ground. The cardboard was unnecessary and had to be ripped off in order to clean it. when the cardboard was removed there was dust caked up, preventing all airflow.

Such design of the condensing coil is really setting this unit up for extra strain on the compressor, waste of energy, and ultimately a costly compressor failure. They figure if you'll fork out 3 grand for a fridge, you'll probably be able to afford another one in a couple years when this one breaks.

The refrigeration aspects works well. The amount of storage is compromised by the compartments, and my wife complains about the lack of space constantly.

the ice machine is a little slow. When entertaining any more than 3 guests you will run out of ice, so I suggest freezing some for such occasions.

Has multiple cracks of the interior liner after only 3 years. Icemaker lousy. Storage and temperature cause wife to be aggravated

Worst thing is the drone idiot "service" which just repeats the same line like robots. They do not care and will not help even though it is under warranty! They act like they are programmed to find any reason to deny restoring the product to acceptable condition.

After looking at the product we selected the Kitchenaid because we thought it was a strong brand. Three months after delivery the stainless steel door began showing rust spots. I called the company and was told they could do nothing for me because it was "cosmetic" and not covered. I escalated the problem as high as I could with the same answer cosmetic, not covered. This is a bad product and Kitchenaid is a poor company. Stay away from their products!

Electrolux EI26SS30J 36" Standard-Depth Side-By-Side Refrigerator with IQ-Touch Controls and Luxury

Electrolux EI26SS30J 36' Standard-Depth Side-By-Side Refrigerator with IQ-Touch Controls and Luxury-G, WhiteSo we purchased this model about 4 years ago from a Lowes Home Center. We don't usually buy extended warranty plans but since I was not real familiar with Electrolux, we purchased a 4 year extended warranty. The first failure occurred in the ice maker/water dispensing unit--(could not turn off the water). Took one visit by the repair vendor to figure out what parts he needed, than about two weeks for him to get the parts and make the repairs. Three years the water dispenser stopped working. The repair contractor said the heater had failed iside the door and they would have to replace the door. Yesterday they replaced the door and now, not only do we not get water, but we do not get ice and I've had to move all the food to another refrigerator because the neither the refrigerator or freezer are able to maintain a safe temperature. So my problem is first with the multiple failures we have experience with the electronics in the refrigerator and I guess a related problem with the way they train/certify/authorize repair vendors...My advice--stick to a major brand that can be properly serviced by a wide variety of vendors. Electrolux is off my list--permanently--for anything they make.
