Maytag 8212652 PuriClean IV Refrigerator Water Filter

I recently purchased the Puriclean IV at Home Depot.

I tested this water filter using a TDS meter which measures total dissolved solids in water.

Results:

Tap Water = 367 PPM (parts per million)

Puriclean IV = 370 PPM

As you can see, the Puriclean IV produced no difference in water quality based on my TDS meter.

This is a very simple filter that uses charcoal to reduce odor. Charcoal does not filter out harmful solids, they just pass right through the filter.

I purchased this water filter for my refrigerator and the product works as advertized and was delivered on time. No complaints on the item itself.

However Amazon fulfills the order via a 3rd party seller and in this case the seller uses my email address to send spam and advertizements. Very annoying. I would understand if my Amazon preferences permitted email marketing, but I had all those options turned off. If Amazon insists on allowing 3rd parties to see email addresses they should enforce a policy which prohibits the 3rd party vendor from using the information for any other purposes other than delivering the exact product which was ordered.

works great for a Kitchenaid Superba refrigerator. You cannot get a better price on these anywhere physical.. at least I couldn't find anything reasonable

I don't find the water tastes all that great with this filter, but maybe it's because I am addicted to smart water.

We needed a new filter for our refrigerator, but found out it was no longer available. I looked on Amazon & sure enough they had the filter we needed. Easy to use, just turn & pull to get the old one out, & just insert the new one & give it a slight turn. What a difference a new filter makes, the water in the door comes out at a faster rate & the ice is much better in apperance & taste. This is a great filter.Easy to use, & it lasts longer than others I have had in the past.

Cannot tell different in Original filters from Kenmore and this compatible brand. The

price was very good and very pleased with the performance so far. Price was big factor in making this purchase.

This is by no means a brand name or high quality filter, it's one that should be changed in 3 months instead of 6, but it works and doesn't cost an arm and a leg either.

Portable Mini Fridge Cooler and Warmer Auto Car Boat Home Office Ac & Dc Red

The title says it all. I am surprised how well this little fridge cools, but it is quite loud so I wouldn't want it in a hotel room with me overnight. Great for car and good if it is somewhere NOT where you are sleeping.

I was very disappointed with this product. I brought it to have a little Fridge at work but it turns out to be a waste of my money. It does not get cold so the food goes bad.

I bought this product and had it in my bedroom with me. It was very quiet and cooled exceptionally well, but after about a week of it constantly running it stopped working. there was so much condensation inside the back that the mini fridge just shut down. That is the reason why Im not giving it five stars.

Received this two days ago and have already done about 3 or 4 loads. While the color of white does not match my Whirlpool dryer, the function seems to be the same. I wish it matched... But it isn't sitting in the living room so I can live with it. The safety of having an intact screen is more important. We bought this model for use in our game room bar in July 2008. Upon delivery the temperature controller failed to work properly and the unit never cooled. The controller went completely blank in just a couple of days. The retailer refused to provide us with a new unit and sent a service technician to our house. The technician found that the wiring harness to the cooling fan had either come loose or been installed incorrectly. After connecting the wiring harness the unit began to cool but we found the digital controller still wasn't working properly. The technician asked us to use it for a couple of days to see if it worked itself out. Several days later, unable to change the temperature at all, we again called the appliance retailer and demanded a new unit. They again refused, sending the technician out again. He said he thought the entire computer was fried and needed to take the unit to his shop for service. We were without the refrigerator for three weeks while all of the electronics were replaced. When it was returned it seemed to work fine. Now, almost one year to the day after it was repaired, the temperature controller has again failed and the digital readout is blank. I expected more from a $1,000 bar refrigerator from U-Line. I would not recommend this unit based on my experience with it. Check out the Marvel or Scotsman refrigerators for roughly the same price.

So we purchased this model about 4 years ago from a Lowes Home Center. We don't usually buy extended warranty plans but since I was not real familiar with Electrolux, we purchased a 4 year extended warranty. The first failure occurred in the ice maker/water dispensing unit--(could not turn off the water). Took one visit by the repair vendor to figure out what parts he needed, than about two weeks for him to get the parts and make the repairs. Three years the water dispenser stopped working. The repair contractor said the heater had failed iside the door and they would have to replace the door. Yesterday they replaced the door and now, not only do we not get water, but we do not get ice and I've had to move all the food to another refrigerator because the neither the refrigerator or freezer are able to maintain a safe temperature. So my problem is first with the multiple failures we have experience with the electronics in the refrigerator and I guess a related problem with the way they train/certify/authorize repair vendors...My advice--stick to a major brand that can be properly serviced by a wide variety of vendors. Electrolux is off my list--permanently--for anything they make.
