AquaFresh Replacement Refrigerator Filter for Maytag UKF7003AXX, 3-Pack

I am horribly disappointed at the rate of flow with the first (of three) of these filters I recently installed (April 2013). The flow to my refrigerator's water outlet is less than half the rate I am accustomed to with both the OEM filter and other after-market units I have purchased over a ten year span. I will be forced to tough it out for the 6=month period I typically leave a filter installed and may or may not have an equal opinion of the second of the three I bought.

Don't be "tricked" into buying the AC adaptor since it shows you an upsell message saying the two items are purchased together the item comes with one. Regarding the item itself: Keep in mind this is a novelty item. It's not meant to be a fancy vending machine. There is also a pretty annoying design flaw. The way this thing dispenses is by dropping sodas from the various shelves where the corresponding buttons are. Sodas in the higher shelves have a higher drop and thus get shaken up a bit which isn't fun when opening up the can for consumption.

This product is so neat. We were finishing our basement with a whole retro theme, and purchased it to sit on the bar as more of an ornamental item. I use this to keep soda cool in an already air conditioned office and it does a fine job of keeping it quite chilled. I start the soda in our fridge and then out ti in this but it gets colder in this then it is in the fridge.

Yes it drops the soda to dispense but I havent had any shaking problems even from the top level.

It didn't come with the Coke stickers but its trivial to find them on the net and print them to clear sticky-back plastic in a laser printer.

The only remaining question is durability... I'll let you know in a year :)

Koolatron Vending Fridge

One day I looked at my "Man Cave Command Center" and I asked myself, "How can I revamp my creation to look even more appealing?"

As I searched online, I found this little machine. There are three colors: RED, BLUE, and SILVER. I chose blue since it's my favorite color. The Red and Blue only vary in color, but the function of it is still the same. As for the Silver Edition version, it has a coin operated slot where you can either add coins or use the special tokens that come with it. That, to me, comes in handy if you work in a place where people try to leech off your sodas! Ha!

The Koolatron Mini-Vending machine wows many friends of mine when they come into my room. You'll be amazed at how this little machine doesn't consume much space. In fact, it only stands about 18 1/2 inches with a length of little over 12 inches. I enjoy sitting at my computer station and when I get thirsty, all I have to do is press the button. The temperature of the drinks are perfect.

I don't mind the small sound that is emitted from the vending machine since I have my music blaring in the background. This is an awesome creation! I love it!

OMG! This vending machine is perfect if you want a cold drink. I Love it so much. It has a a little slot where you can hide/store stuff. The drinks get REALLY cold. You would be amazed. I have to warn you about two things though: at night the Vending Machine has a light that isn't too bright but it it is sort of like a night-light, and also every few days this tray inside fills up with water and you have to dump it out. Thats really it and it's so great otherwise. It can hold 4 cans of a soda on each side (8 total). It is an awesome gift. The best place to put is in an office or kitchen, though mine is in my bedroom. My friends always want to come over to look at it. Get one!

I purchased this pop cooler for my small concessions area to hold drinks. When it arrived it was obvious the door hinges had been bent and we had to fix this for the door to even stay on.

The top handle should have been attached at the manufacturer because there is not way to attach the top handle without removing the seal around the door.

The shelfs themselves are weak. The top shelf bowes in when you put bottles on the shelf.

Spend a little more and get a better quality product.

I purchased this unit to use at business trade shows. The very first time I took it out of the box it wouldn't work. I had an electrician trouble shoot it and was able to determine that there was power all the way to the electronic controller, but that controller must have been defective. I decided it was way too expensive to ship it back to my office and then try and determine how to get it fixed. In the future I will "Buy American".

Maytag 8212652 PuriClean IV Refrigerator Water Filter

I recently purchased the Puriclean IV at Home Depot.

I tested this water filter using a TDS meter which measures total dissolved solids in water.

Results:

Tap Water = 367 PPM (parts per million)

Puriclean IV = 370 PPM

As you can see, the Puriclean IV produced no difference in water quality based on my TDS meter.

This is a very simple filter that uses charcoal to reduce odor. Charcoal does not filter out harmful solids, they just pass right through the filter.

I purchased this water filter for my refrigerator and the product works as advertized and was delivered on time. No complaints on the item itself.

However Amazon fulfills the order via a 3rd party seller and in this case the seller uses my email address to send spam and advertizements. Very annoying. I would understand if my Amazon preferences permitted email marketing, but I had all those options turned off. If Amazon insists on allowing 3rd parties to see email addresses they should enforce a policy which prohibits the 3rd party vendor from using the information for any other purposes other than delivering the exact product which was ordered.

We needed a new filter for our refrigerator, but found out it was no longer available. I looked on Amazon & sure enough they had the filter we needed. Easy to use, just turn & pull to get the old one out, & just insert the new one & give it a slight turn. it did not work. it was not a good deal because it did not work and it is hard to remove.

This product was inexpensive and worked perfectly for automatically turning my Safe LED lights off/on during safe door opening/closing. If you do something like this you will need to fabricate a bracket for mounting the switch unless you are buying this as a replacement part for your refrigerator.

This item is solely the small icemaker portion that is attached to the top of your Samsung refrigerator (my model is RF26VABBP). What it does not contain is:

the clip in holder that actually connects the icemaker to the top of the fridge

Luckily all those piece were salvageable from my old one, and within several hours of reconnecting I had a full tray of ice.

(In case anyone is interested, the failure of my old icemaker, exactly 1 month after warranty ran out, was the heating element stopped working, which is what slightly warms the ice so it detaches from the maker and can be dumped into the tray)

Product arrived quickly and in good condition. I needed to move a few plastic support parts from the original to the new one, plugged it in and we now have ice again.

We've been plagued with poor ice maker results with our Samsung french-door unit with ice in the door. Ice gets clumped and stuck regularly. We'll see if this changes.

Immediate problem was a burnt out heater in the unit I replaced.

This icemaker is very good except for the automatic flap shut off valve gets pinned in the down position so ice continues to overflow. All that we do is shut off the ice maker until we need more ice. Also the switch is horizontal and our ice maker cover the switch is vertical.

Great replacement for the original ice maker that never worked correctly. The only down side to this one is that the arm comes out a little further than the unit that came in the fridge. I can't use the shelf that fits over the ice bucket because of this but I'm happy I now have ice.

Ice maker works. Was slow to process from Appliance Parts Pro, but once shipped received quickly.

Doesn't fit my Electrolux Perfectly, but works none the less.

The shut off bar doesn't fit my hopper exact and the on off switch has a different orientation. I could modify my hopper and upper tray if I need too.

The ice maker came with no instructions but if you managed to get the old one out, this one slides in fairly easily by reversing the process. There was an odd plastic piece screwed to the bottom of the unit which I removed and the bolted on the sliding shelf piece that was attached to my old unit. I plugged the unit in, slid it back into place and within 15-20 minutes the tray was already filled with water.

Make sure you let the first several batches go through and then throw away the ice to make sure you're not getting any manufacturing contaminants. I wiped the unit out a little and then let it run over night and dumped what it had created just to be paranoid.

If you replace this item and you're still having trouble, be sure to check the blinking LED on the side of the freezer that is the sensor/indicator light (assuming your model is like mine). There's a pattern to the LED blinks. On mine, it would blink twice, pause, and then repeat. If you close the flap for the sensor, the blinking would change to a solid light. If you close the flap, and you're still getting blinking then there's a good chance that the sensor is somehow blocked or no longer good. In this case, you'll need a control board which for mine was...I believe...this model: Whirlpool Refrigerator P.C. Control Board Kit 4389102

I used the control/motor piece from this unit (connected with three screws) to replace the one in my old ice maker (from a Kenmore 106.565xxxx side-by-side black fridge bought in 2005) and it seems to have done the trick. It is now making ice again. Even though I only used that part from this unit, it seems it was the cheapest way to get the part, plus I have the rest of the unit should I need it in the future. I'm sure this saved me a bunch of $$$ compared to having a Sears repairman do it (probably about $300).

The ice maker replacement works fine. Note that our frig requires a different ice guide. That's the big white piece in the front. This part has a flat front but our OEM had a ramp guide. Without the ramp guide, your ice will eject all over the place inside your freezer. I was able to completely disassemble the old and new unit to replace the ice guide with the OEM guide. Pop the cover on the left side, remove the two silver screws only that hold the ice-tray to the motor assembly. Do not take apart the motor housing screws! Once the two screws are out, you can separate the tray assembly from the motor housing to replace the guide.
