I purchased this fridge because I had a tiny kitchen. On a cu ft basis it is one of the most expensive fridges you can buy. I have redone 3 kitchens in the past 5 years, and have spent about $30,000 on appliances. I have never seen such poor quality. The MAIN problem is that the refrigerator slopes--the bottom is 2" further away from the wall than the top even after I adjust the legs as far into the cavity as possible--it looks like a s___ show. I called Mark Goldman (Summit customer service) to help solving the problem. First he claimed this was how the fridge was designed--the door should close slowly. I said it doesn't--it SLAMS shut. Then clearly demonstrating the design story was invalid, Mark told me I could build up my floor with shims! I said that was ridiculous for $1000 fridge (it's $300 extra for the icemaker). He said I needed proof there was a problem, so I sent an email with a photo of the slanted fridge and a photo of a 36" level on the floor to show it was level (i tried to paste photos here, but can't). Under pressure from the retailer, Summit sent a service rep. The service rep agreed the floor was level and the legs were into the cavity, so there was nothing he could do to fix the problem--that there was clearly a manufacturing or design flaw. When Summit received this information, they said since it wasn't a MANUFACTURING flaw (it was the design flaw--so ALL fridges will have the same problem), they weren't required to do anything about it. So I'm living with the problem.

As an aside, the rest of the quality is no better. the produce drawer is plastic and doesn't slide on the guides well, so soon it will break no matter how careful I am.

I relied heavily on reviews so wanted to leave one myself. Forget the model number but I got the bottom freezer, SS, icemaker, roughly 2'x6' in 2011. A lot of what I read was true: cheap drawers, after you close the frig door it gets sucked in for 10-15 seconds. Not a big deal as a 2nd unit but if it were in my main kitchen this (& the drawers perhaps) would get on my nerves at times (still if you had to have a small frig I think you can get used to it). I read where noise was a big issue. I've heard it come on but has never bothered me. If there were long spells where I was quiet in the same area then maybe; but so far I've barely noticed it. Also, very pleased w the interior space/shelf options for the room it takes up (again 2nd frig).

I've had it about 3-4 months and (knock on wood) haven't had any problems. Actually I love it since it fits perfectly and has everything I wanted: tall, thin, bottom freezer, icemaker AND counterdepth!...didn't think all that was possible. I was dubious from some negative reviews but after an exhaustive search Summit was the only brand that had all these things. If you're in the same situation then I say pull the trigger and buy it but try to work out some kind of insurance if it does fail on you or you don't like it for some reason. Good luck!

This is by no means a brand name or high quality filter, it's one that should be changed in 3 months instead of 6, but it works and doesn't cost an arm and a leg either.

I bought this to replace my original Everpure H104 filter. Unfortunately, this filter was a rather loose/wobbly fit in the collar of the filter system, so I had to return it and buy an Everpure model for a much higher price. I have this product for my whirlpool fridge. The drawer I originally had started breaking. I did some research and found this drawer. While it does not say it's a replacement for the 2188661, the 2188656 part is a perfect fit and match! I loved it because it also saved me $50 off the cost of the "main" product. I don't know why they're offering 2 different products at such a steep/different cost, but go for the cheaper part. Frost started to build up in the back panel of my freezer, called the customer service who said the warranty is only 2 years and only the closed loop system is covered up to 5 years. He promptly said the problem is unlikely the closed loop system because the freezer is cooling and said good luck. You pay 5 times the price to have things break in 2 years with no warranty. I needed a small freezer for storing excess frozen blueberries from a bulk purchase so after researching different makes and models, I finally decided to purchase the Haier mini-freezer from Amazon. Amazon offered free shipping and the price of the unit was $20 cheaper than my local walmart and target. It was very good customer service for Fedex sending two employees to deliver the mini-freezer so it arrived in excellent condition even though the way the mini-freezer was packaged from Haier was the worst I've ever encountered. There was absolutely no foam or packing material to protect the unit and after cutting one plastic strap the card board box fell apart.

After inspecting the unit for damage, I found one small dent near the top-right of the freezer door (See the images that I've posted above). I proceeded to follow the instruction booklet and plugged it in. I filled the mini-ice tray (Included with the unit) with water and left it in the freezer. Two hours later I checked to make sure the unit was still working and noticed the water had already frozen so now I have mini-ice cubes ^_^

I thought it would be helpful to include the mini-freezers interior measurements for usable space: I've measured the freezers interior top half at 15 inches wide with a depth of 12 inches, while below the removable wire shelf the bottom half measures 15 inches wide with a depth of only 7 inches (Usable space is lost due to the units motor).

Pros-

The unit is very quiet.

It looks nice and the handle is built into the top of the door.

The hinge can be moved to the opposite side depending on which way you prefer the door to open.

It has a switch in the back which allows temperature adjustment from 1-7 (I have it set on 4).

It has a removable wire rack inside the freezer.

Cons-

Some of the space in the lower section of the freezer is lost to the units motor.

I'm very happy so far with my purchase and recommend this mini-freezer to anyone that needs a little additional freezer space, but keep in mind there is a high percentage chance it will arrive with a dent >_
