My old valve had 2 male ports. This replacement--and is noted as such by mfgr--has a male and a female. HOWEVER, this female connection is a compression connection, which required no additional parts. You simply push the flexible water line into the valve opening, then pull back out some to 'snug up' the connection. EASY fit, no leaks!!

Works well, but works better with constant cleaning of the tube. If you are making a bunch of lattes at once, this is your machine. For just one person it might be overkill. I would give it 5 stars but after the power goes out it doesn't turn itself back on, so if you are not home you will have bad milk.

A colleague had ordered this and we both have nearly identical Jura automatic espresso machines. We both work from home, so I wanted something that would make my machine a little more automated.

I've purchased wine coolers and other machines which use the same type of induction technology, and I've been 'burned' by them all breaking down early, not keeping the right temperature, etc.

I've had this device for six months now and I'm still just as pleased with it as the day I unboxed it. Milk is truly kept cold consistently and it's incredibly quiet.

Cons: If you're a Skim milk drinker, and you wait a couple days before using it, I've noticed that the milk can sometimes freeze up or develop ice crystals. I've been able to mitigate this by filling the outer tank with barely just enough water for it to reach the brim when the container is inside of it.

Also, the tube can be a hassle to clean. Sometimes the suction power pulls milk through and lets it sit there in the tube. You have to be conscientious to clean it thoroughly after each use or each day.

I do some work from my home so the Jura Z5 is on most of the day. Milk used for froth of my cappuccino gets warm in the standard containers but this cooler takes care of the problem. It will keep milk in the low 30 degree area and runs quiet. It may seem a bit eccentric but I love it. The Amazon price is great, about $80.00 cheaper than buying it from Jura. Overall, terrific and works as advertised. The minor complaint: the stainless tube attaches to the lid by means of a silicone "washer" it's not quite snug enough to keep the tube from falling into the milk container reliably. A seemingly minor fix if they would just make the silicone washer slightly larger. Not a deal-breaker, but worth noting. Also, you need to wash this container no less than once a week otherwise milk solids tends to collect in the lid which will impart an off taste to the fresh milk that comes through it.

I had always wanted something like this for my Jura S7 automatic espresso machine. It is much more convenient that steaming individual containers of milk, even though I am the only user each morning. I have only had it several days but have been satisfied thus far in its ability to keep the milk cold. One liter seems a lot, but once you have the dispensing convenience, it is surprising how quickly you can go through milk. It integrates nicely with the coffee maker and does not take up too much counter space. I tend to use the milk steamer and not the frother as the froth quantity is too much for my taste.

Pros: Finally I am able to make use of the Froth Express Plus feature; Convenience, especially for multiple single cups. I do not hear the fan that others complain about.

Cons: Condensation; Wish the cap was more like a thermos and clamped down on the entire device-this would stop condensation and keep the milk colder; matte finish is prone to spotting from liquid splashes-should be like the coffee maker finish which is easy to wipe; Large transformer block plug takes up plug space-beware.

As for the functionality of the item, it works fine, no issues yet. Time to replace is about 15-30 min based on your skill set. The seller was quick and the piece was in hand shortly after placing the order, which was nice. It came in OEM packaging, not repack, so you can tell it was a new item. No issues with it or the seller, so I would purchase from them again if need to.

This is an awesome side by side fridge. We've had it for a couple of months and we are very happy we bought it. We got it for about half price of what's listed here it was marked down, probably because it is wider than can fit in many kitchens. It's a great looking fridge with the cool blue lighted display on the ice maker. And there are many lights inside the fridge and the freezer. There isn't anywhere you can't see easily. There's even a light illuminating the ice!

Speaking of the ice maker, I read a review before buying where someone commented that the ice spits out and this is true. However, if you hold the glass up towards where the ice comes out, it isn't a problem. Our last fridge caught on fire (Sears Kenmore Elite) thank goodness we were at home when it happened. Anyway, we had to replace parts in that ice maker all the time. Every week I had to take out all the ice and chisel the ice build up out of the chute so the ice could come out. Major pain. The flap holding the ice in didn't close properly and the ice would melt into a big chunk.

This fridge solves the problem the flap to let the ice out is motorized and closes after each use. The ice maker doesn't hold as much as the last one so I have a quart ziploc bag with extra ice just in case we get company and need more. You can choose ice cubes or chips. There are separate pads to push for water and ice which is easier for my mother-in-law to use. She lives with us and is blind. We put a loc-dot on the digital display on the ice maker and she has no problem using it. A great feature is that the water dispenser will discharge a pre-determined amount. We set it at one cup so she can easily get water to mix with her vitamin supplement drink.

The drawers are well built. They glide easily, even when full of heavy items like cans of pop; not like our last fridge where you had to tug and tug to get the drawers open.

So far I have no complaints about this purchase!

If you're reading this then you're probably neck deep in trying to figure out if there's any chance this will actually fit your fridge. While I'm not sure how much help I can be with that, all I can do is share my experience. My fridge is a Kenmore 79142 built around 2000. The ice maker in it puked and I needed a new one. After searching forever I finally convinced myself that this one would fit just fine. It seems like there are only a handful of ice maker manufacturers that send their units to everyone who, in turn, put their own model numbers on them and *poof*...confusion city.

In the end this ice maker fit just fine. The ice tray is metal unlike some of the cheaper plastic generic units. The description says this is a genuine Whirlpool part but the box is certainly very generic looking with a generic model number on it. I opened the box, it looked like a quality unit and I installed it. The next day I had ice so that's a win in my book. It's been working great ever since. Depending on your particular setup you might need to borrow brackets and the wiring harness from your old unit. I also had to remove the scored cutout section for the water inlet. Beyond that it was pretty much plug and play.

This ice maker worked perfect. It was easy to install and after five years I finally have ice again. Love it.

The icemaker was delivered promptly and was pretty easy to install. The only caveat I'd offer is that I thought it best to re-use a couple of clip on parts off the old one (for instance, the arm that dips down to sense ice volume. The one that came with this unit was slightly different.

Been working flawlessly for several weeks. No complaints at all. I liked that it came with the test diagram in the instructions (the front panel, when off, shows where to use a multimeter probe to find out what's broken. Although hopefully I'll never need to do that!)

Finally, I have mounds of blessed ice in the tray! My old icemaker s-l-o-w-l-y died over years, delivering fewer trays until it would only cough out one every few days and then none at all.

This replacement was identical, except it doesn't come with the wire harness you just unplug from the old maker. Less than half the price of the maker from Sears, and about half of local parts stores. Great!

The only thing you need to know is there is a TINY screw on the side of the face, that can be turned SLIGHTLY in or out to adjust the fill time, if your water pressure is unusually low or high.

OK here is all the info you need but could not find about this kit. This is an "ERP Exact" kit. Its not the FPS "official" Whirlpool box. BUT it appears to be identical and the price is great. The photo shown is incomplete; this kit contains the Embarco cover, jumper, relay, two thermal overloads, and the instruction sheet. The jumper is just a simple wire with male and female spade-lug connectors that allows the existing small female connector on your refrigerator wiring to adapt up to the larger male terminal on the new relay "white wire" contact without crimping on a larger terminal. Nothing special, just simple. The overload protectors are both Klixon just like the OEM kit. I did not notice a brand on the relay but the fit, finish, and installation were perfect.

Installation is trivial for anyone with a basic set of "repair skills". I fully respect that many people just cringe at the thought of repairing a refrigerator but seriously if you have gotten to the point that you have decided you need this part based on hands on diagnostics, then you can replace it.

Diagnostics, internet research, and disassembly, took about 2 hours. Re-installation of the new parts took 3 minutes. Installed Aug 15, if it fails I will add more. If I don't post again, its running fine.

Three Evaporators replaced in 2.5 years. Total Junk. Four months prior to the manufacturer warranty expired and it failed. Evaporator replaced. Six months later under a service contract, it failed again. One week after receiving it back, failed again. I'm convinced that the service companies are milking the service contract for low hanging fruit on this product, but aren't actually finding the real leak. Danby all but said, sorry about your luck and were no help. I don't recommend this product or any purchase of a Danby product as a result. This thing has been a total lemon. It's currently unplugged and awaiting yet another repair under the service contract. I plan to replace it with another name brand product.
