My grand daughter went to the freezer and said all the ice cream has melted. So I was going to get rid of the freezer as it was over 30 years old. My son said it has to be something simple. so we checked and found the wiring on the defrost timer had burned up. What happened was the breaker points stuck (welded themself together) and burned the wire off. We installed a new end on the wire and ordered your replacement timer and we are once again having frozen food. Thank you very much.

We've had our new dishwasher for two weeks. It is EXTREMELY quiet and seems to hold more than our previous KitchenAid DW of 15 years as we don't seem to wash a load as often. One difference from our previous...even after having the "Heat/Dry" cycle ON, my first load left the dishes and stainless steel interior WET, whereas, I was used to them both being bone-dry. Could be the new technology doesn't dry them the same way. Anyway, I then added a rinse agent per the instructions that it would help with drying, and it did. Now the dishes and interior are much drier. Secondly, I had read previous comments about the outside control buttons being sensitive if you brush up against them--and they are! I have frequently 'started' the DW by accident. So I now keep the child Control Lock ON and only turn it off when I need to start a load. I also moved the upper rack up to the higher level to allow cookie sheets and larger items on the bottom rack, which still leaves plenty of room on the upper rack. The silverware caddy is ample but doesn't have a place for long items like my old one did. Other than that, I'm happy with it.

This gasket fit well. The magnet is a little on the weak side, as when my employees close the bottom door too hard the top door will pop open, but not the other way around. Otherwise nothing to complain about.

This is an awesome side by side fridge. We've had it for a couple of months and we are very happy we bought it. We got it for about half price of what's listed here it was marked down, probably because it is wider than can fit in many kitchens. It's a great looking fridge with the cool blue lighted display on the ice maker. And there are many lights inside the fridge and the freezer. There isn't anywhere you can't see easily. There's even a light illuminating the ice!

Speaking of the ice maker, I read a review before buying where someone commented that the ice spits out and this is true. However, if you hold the glass up towards where the ice comes out, it isn't a problem. Our last fridge caught on fire (Sears Kenmore Elite) thank goodness we were at home when it happened. Anyway, we had to replace parts in that ice maker all the time. Every week I had to take out all the ice and chisel the ice build up out of the chute so the ice could come out. Major pain. The flap holding the ice in didn't close properly and the ice would melt into a big chunk.

This fridge solves the problem the flap to let the ice out is motorized and closes after each use. The ice maker doesn't hold as much as the last one so I have a quart ziploc bag with extra ice just in case we get company and need more. You can choose ice cubes or chips. There are separate pads to push for water and ice which is easier for my mother-in-law to use. She lives with us and is blind. We put a loc-dot on the digital display on the ice maker and she has no problem using it. A great feature is that the water dispenser will discharge a pre-determined amount. We set it at one cup so she can easily get water to mix with her vitamin supplement drink.

The drawers are well built. They glide easily, even when full of heavy items like cans of pop; not like our last fridge where you had to tug and tug to get the drawers open.

So far I have no complaints about this purchase!

I bought this freezer / fridge three years ago and it was, quite frankly, life changing. That might sound like an over the top statement, but in my situation it's true. I drive tractor-trailer for living and in an attempt to keep expenses low, have always had a microwave and DC powered cooler in my truck. This allowed me to avoid eating in truck stops and restaurants and save a lot of money, but my menu was limited because I didn't have the ability to keep frozen food. The Waeco CF-50 (same thing as Dometic CF-50 by the way) has allowed me to greatly expand the variety of food I can keep in my truck.

This freezer has an adjustable temperature ranging from 50 degrees (not sure why you'd want 50 degree food) all the way down to 0 degrees F. It keeps everything from frozen diners to Ben & Jerry's ice cream nice and solid. It comes with handles that you need to attach yourself, but I opted to leave them off. I've got the biggest factory sleeper available on a Peterbilt, but in a truck every inch of space gained is valuable. Since the handles don't collapse when installed, they stick out and cause the freezer to take up an additional four to six inches of space.

My one gripe with the design of this freezer is that the lid is convex instead of flat. This probably won't be an issue for most people, but I have the freezer sitting on the floor of my sleeper berth and my microwave sitting in top of the freezer. This would be an easy arrangement if it weren't in a truck that averages 120,000 miles a year on the decaying roads of America. The convex design makes it very difficult to place anything on top of the freezer and hope it will stay for long once the vehicle is in motion. I've resolved the issue by strapping the microwave down, but still, having a flat surface to work with would make it easier.

Other than that one small gripe, I have nothing but kudos for this unit. It saves me money on the road and when I'm home, we take it out and use it as a spare fridge or freezer, especially around the holiday season... we found it will fit a 14 pound turkey and handle any ham.

Amazon prices can change hourly or daily. I don't know if I would pay the current price... these are available for $550 elsewhere at the time of this review. Obviously that's a decision that you, the shopper has to make, but if you have the need, definitely get one from somewhere 'cause you won't be disappointed.

When I bought the CF 50 I had to bring the thing back twice before I got one that worked. Since then the one I finally got has had the AC to DC converter burn out twice and the light assembly fall apart. You can not get the AC to DC converter that came with the unit any more, which was built in, you can only get an exterior AC to DC converter and try to rig it to work. Forget about the light kit there is a part number however trying to buy one is impossible. After all the aggravation I would strongly recommend that you do not buy a Waeco product. II also have an Engel Frig/Freezer and have had no trouble with it.

Definitely not great. But, for the price I got it, I ain't complaining. They didn't provide me tracking information which was disappointing, however the product came on time. I installed it in minutes and had no issues with installation. After the first two usage, I did notice the white chlorine for the next few times. Finally it blended well. The taste is more or so the same. I am happy I was able to replace my filter. I might stick with this for my next few purchases until I find something better.

The taste of the water is awful at times. I made a whole pitcher of lemonade and had to throw it away. It seems the filter does not work properly. Thought I was getting a good deal. I guess next time I will have to buy the filter directly from Frigidaire, even if it cost more.

I purchased this refrigerator in January 2013. Almost immediately it started making noises. GE repair took 3 weeks to make the first repair. After the supposed repair the refrigerator sounded noisier than before the repair. Now it's probably going to take 3 more weeks to get it repaired again (if that's possible). When looking at other comments, it appears that this refrigerator has a history of being noisey. I'm sorry I purchased it and will never buy another GE Appliance.
