Thermador 491849 Certified Green Refrigerator Water Filter 3 Pack

We bought a filter for our Thermador fridge from the company and one filter cost us $70. These filters are a much better deal, are green and make our water cleaner and increase by water flow. We bought a 3 pack since we had to pay for shipping.

AE-Select Replacement part 4389102 Refrigerator P.C. Control Board Kit for Whirlpool

This kit has the two circuit boards needed to replace the left and right side icemaker optics in applicable KitchenAid/Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerators. My 7-year-old icemaker quit, and it turns out this is the only repair kit I needed to restore its functionality.

Replacement of the two optics boards took about five minutes: three screws on each side of the freezer compartment, disconnect and remove the optics panels, remove the screws holding the circuit boards in place (one on the left panel, two on the right panel), remove the circuit boards, and reassemble with the new boards by reversing the process. You can watch this step-by-step process online -just search on YouTube for the part number, 4389102.

The kit also supplies a wiring diagram and diagnostic instructions for the new circuit boards, and a suggestion where to save them in the base plate of the refrigerator along with the other diagrams stored there.

I have had this optics kit installed since June 29, 2012. The icemaker has been functioning like new since then.

So how do you know if you need to replace the optics? Do a diagnostic test:

Check that the icemaker on/off switch (right side of freezer compartment) is ON. Look at the red status light next to the on/off switch. You should see the flight flash twice and repeat the double-flash every second. Now close the left side flapper and don't block the light path from the right side where the red status light is. The red status light should stop flashing and come on steady. If it is still flashing, your optics may be blocked -or they might be bad, like mine were. You might want to wait 5 minutes then unplug the refrigerator for 10 seconds to reset the ice maker control board and try the diagnostic again.

If the light still won't come on steady, you can check the rest of the icemaker by bypassing the optics system. USE CAUTION, as the optics connections are live -unplug the refrigerator for safety while bypassing the system. First remove the right side optics panel (3 screws). Next, disconnect the cable plug from the refrigerator going to the optics panel. Now jump 2 specific connections on the refrigerator's plug (I cut a large paper clip and insulated the middle for this purpose). The correct 2 wires to jump are next to each other and may be identified by color: black, and black-with-white. Turns out my model used different colors, but I found online that the correct wires can be identified as the ones immediately below the bottom-most hole on the plug where no wire is connected (there are 4 wires next to each other filling up the rest of the plug below the hole). I found a description and photos of this bypass operation on the ApplianceJunk (Appliance Repair Help) website by Googling the three words: 4389102 jumper paperclip (4389102 is the part number of this optics kit). If the only thing wrong with your icemaker was the optics system, your icemaker will eventually make ice again (24 hours or less -mine took about 2 hours). Note: once the icemaker starts, it won't stop making ice while the jumper is in place, so don't let the icemaker keep going too long or it will overfill the bin and cause problems!

This is the second request from Amazon to review this item, so here goes again for the 2nd time: The module controls arrived within two days after ordering (Web site said delivery could take from 5 to 14 days, so when it arrived in 2 days I was pleasently suprised. Once Module controls were installed within hours the ice maker was making ice and within two day the ice bin was full. The time between cycles is shorter so therefore I'm getting ice quicker than before. GREAT SERVICE, Items received are exactly as described and shown on web site.

These boards were as-described, installed easily, and work exactly as the originals did (prior to failure). I was hesitant to purchase them due to the low price compared to factory replacements or parts website prices but the transaction worked out great.

Installed on Kenmore branded whirlpool refrigerator. Symptom was slow to no ice production. Purchased thermometers first to check temperature which was fine. Dropped first ice about 10 minutes after installation. Installed a couple of weeks ago and has been working great, the ice bin is full. The original broken optics board was blinking twice, once second pause, repeat with no change blocking/unblocking the sensor. The original board would still make ice intermittently / erratically, though not enough to keep us in ice and we'd run out.

I cross-shopped this model with a Samsung RF4287HARS but ended up going with this Whirlpool because of several of the negative reviews I've read on Amazon and elsewhere about the lack of reliability with Samsung refrigerators. I'd rather sacrifice 3 cubic feet of space than an entire refrigerator-full of food! This Whirlpool has the same deli/snack tray feature as the Samsung, has LED lighting, and attached ice maker and water line, which is why we primarily compared the two. I also has solid SS handles (!) and not cheap chrome or SS overlay handles maybe this is why some people think its "skimpy" on SS. I don't think it is. It has it where it should and no where else (keeping the cost down)!

Otherwise, there isn't much else to compare its an excellent appliance for the price and for a french door. The ice maker is a tad loud when it draws water (and it might catch your attention until you are use to it). The "measure" feature is nice when baking and you want to use filtered water. Speaking of filters, it is a generally available item you can get here on Amazon or any store that sells appliances (the filter states it fits 5 different OEM's). I hope this thing gives us several years of trouble-free use!

We got whirlpool WRX735SDBM during the memorial day sale and got installed on 06/01/2013 and looking good so far. Front panel is very easy to operate and is also stylish. I specifically like the measure option of the water dispenser. Visibility inside the top cabinet is very good and the temperature control for the middle drawer is very useful. My experience with this model is great so far and with the sale price tag I recommend this model.

Only had for a day, so I hope to update this. This frig replaces the nearly identical G model, but supposedly (acc. to Whirlpool cust services 800#) removed the "Sabbath" function where apparently some religions believe it sinful to have lights on your device. However, the manual suggests that function is still present.

The computer/data panel is kind of neat. They recommend changing default temp by one degree at a time, & I had to tell it to drop the temp in frig and freezer around 4 5 degrees during mild (67-74 degree) room temp to get it in range that my power company recommended w/ their tiny thermometer. No biggie, but I'm not sure the computer temp or the utility company's thermometer is accurate yet. I will check w/ a third gauge & hopefully post an update.

This frig is DEEP, like many this style, and I'm going to have to bust out my doorway a bit to get it in the kitchen, but it's attractive & running well so far in my breezeway.

Refrigerator Liners - 2 Count

These are wonderful for shelves that are racks instead of glass. It keeps spills on the liner thus keeping your refrigerator cleaner with less maintenance.Take the liner out and clean it off.

These were a little wide for my side by side fridge/freezer. They are easily cut to size. Just cut down the middle and shave some off there, so it won't hurt the looks of the border. They look very nice in my fridge, and are so easy to clean up. Much easier than scrubbing the shelves!

These two refrigerator liners arrived full of tares. The actual substance of the liner is probably o.k. but both of them were ruined by the tares and cracks. I reported this to Amazon and Amazon refunded my money.

Since the liners were better than nothing, I put them to use in my fridge. They are of nice design...but those rips just ruined the day!

Definitely not great. But, for the price I got it, I ain't complaining. They didn't provide me tracking information which was disappointing, however the product came on time. I installed it in minutes and had no issues with installation. After the first two usage, I did notice the white chlorine for the next few times. Finally it blended well. The taste is more or so the same. I am happy I was able to replace my filter. I might stick with this for my next few purchases until I find something better.

The taste of the water is awful at times. I made a whole pitcher of lemonade and had to throw it away. It seems the filter does not work properly. Thought I was getting a good deal. I guess next time I will have to buy the filter directly from Frigidaire, even if it cost more.

We purchased this FRIGIDAIRE side by side for our home and rental property, last year! We are a two person family and the rental property was an older man and women. Approximately, 9 months after purchase we noticed fractures,tiny vein like splits in the bottom of a few bins while cleaning them, on both refrig. We assumed they were natural plastic folds and ignored them. two months ago ,one Gallon bin (# 240-324502) came crashing to the floor, when our niece opened the refrigerator door. The bin held mustard, ketchup and assorted salad dressing bottles. The Gallon bin is rated for two gallons of milk. THIS WOULD NEVER HOLD THAT WEIGHT! The bin broke away at the hinges and the fracture finally broke the bottom out. We assumed she pulled on it and did not contact FRIGIDAIRE! Two days ago, I opened the frig door and another on came crashing to the floor, breaking glass bottle condiments on my kitchen floor. The same breaks and fracture in the plastic were apparent. THESE BINS ARE CHEAP AND DEFECTIVE! I contacted FRIGIDAIRE and they told me its over the year warranty, SORRY; and gave me all the phone numbers, web addys, parts locations in Jacksonville one hour away) and info to purchase some more PLASTIC BINS! GALLONS ARE $43.58 , Smaller bins are $34.50, plus shipping and handling! When I checked our rental properties refrigerator, our tenants had one broken bin in the garage already! All were already fractured!

I spoke with FRIGIDAIRE AGAIN! Explaining to them this is a defective plastic and needs their attention. I was told for a service fee of aprox $125.00, they would send out a rep to view the plastic bins for defects. But only then would it be noted that they were defective and it was their opinion that had the last word.

Who thought that game up over there at FRIGIDAIRE?? Make the customer pay out of pocket $125.00 bucks for a FRIGIDAIRE REP to tell you what you already know they will say.." Sorry, they are not defective", and be out $125.00 and still have no bins to hang on your refrigerator door inside this big stainless steal over priced chill box?? Are they that cruel and uncaring?

That deal already sounds BIAS and being out $125.00 is not fair game. So, all in all this is my OPINION:

They make money off these broken bins! BIG BUCKS! They want them to break away and make you think its your fault! Your kids are pulling on them, you are chilling 50lb weights in the bins, YOU ARE THE PROBLEM HERE, not FRIGIDAIRE!!

It the lowest of lowest scams. FRIGIDAIRE Produces cheap break away plastic bins that can't hold a bag of marshmellows, yet rate them for two gallons of milk, and keep the customer re-purchasing their parts. I'd be ashamed to be the engineer who rated these! It was probably a monkey with some building blocks and a banana reward system, named BOBO the chimp!

FRIGIDAIRE is not true to its customers. FRIGIDAIRE is GUILTY of producing Cheap bins for a high grade expensive refrigerator and refuse to do anything about it! "FRIGIDAIRE" SHAME ON YOU!!!

My Frigidaire Model Number FRS6LF7JS0 uses two of this type of bin, both are on the two lower-most door bins. One of our bins broke off, the lower-most door bin after 46 months of solid use. It gave out without warning, but if you look at the plastic it is molded from, one can see that it can crack suddenly if taken to it's threshold. We would place all sorts of condiment jars, juice bottles, 2 liter soda bottles. It held a good amount of weight for it's size, it just gave out. I rate this bin 4 out of 5 stars because they could have made it out of a more rubber-like plastic, something that would not be as fragile or sudden to break under normal wear and tear. I inspected the remaining same-part-number bin above this and found some crazing on one side, where the plastic bin hooks onto the inner door liner. I would expect this other bin to give out soon as well. NOTE: The FRIGIDAIRE REFRIGERATOR DOOR BIN P/N 240323002 goes on the two lower-most door shelf spaces on my model FRS6LF7JS0. The actual P/N that you will find on the part is 240323000, but for some reason, the catalogue will list the part as 240323002. It is the correct part for this fridge!

The bin itself is fine, and the price is reasonabe. Seller shipped quickly and appropriately packaged. Arrived without incident. Only problem is that it is hard to tell from the picture which of the four different types of door bins used by my Frigidaire refrigerator this is. This is the UPPER refrigerator door bin, not the Lower one. It cannot be used in several of the positions on the right hand door, nor can it be used in the freezer. This is a design flaw in the refrigerator, and a problem with the documentation of the unit, (the parts section of the user guide does not identify these as different parts) and no fault of the seller.

One of the shelves in our Frigidaire crashed to the ground (with several glass bottles of salad dressing) when we opened the refrigerator door a few weeks ago. As frustrated as I was, I did not call your company because I thought it was some fluke thing. This morning, the exact same thing happened as I was trying to get breakfast ready for my children. I had a disaster to clean up, simply from opening our refrigerator door. Shelves on the door should not be breaking in a refrigerator, from a reputable brand, that is barely 2 years old. I am so disappointed in Frigidaire. They are exactly the same and broke exactly the same way, so I am quite positive there is a problem with these shelves. It is so disappointing to be expected to purchase 2 new shelves for over $70, just to have the same thing happen again.

The shelf in my fridge broke. With a little effort I determined exactly the correct replacement part this smaller lower shelf. (A call to the Frigidaire rep helped. She was very precise in her question to be sure I was buying the correct replacement. There are two sizes of shelf in the right door. Upper shelves are larger, deeper with four plastic walls; lower shelves are more shallow with three plastic walls.) I think this product is a little overpriced for what it is -a plastic shelf. I also find that it breaks too easily during normal use (opening and closing the door with food or bottles occasionally falling over). I am very pleased with how well it fits. Make the effort to determine the right part and it will fit exactly in place.
