This is the same refrigerator you can go to a home improvement store and pay $3200 (plus taxes) if there are no "sales"; I bought it here on Amazon for $1800!!

I cross-shopped this model with a Samsung RF4287HARS but ended up going with this Whirlpool because of several of the negative reviews I've read on Amazon and elsewhere about the lack of reliability with Samsung refrigerators. I'd rather sacrifice 3 cubic feet of space than an entire refrigerator-full of food! This Whirlpool has the same deli/snack tray feature as the Samsung, has LED lighting, and attached ice maker and water line, which is why we primarily compared the two. I also has solid SS handles (!) and not cheap chrome or SS overlay handles maybe this is why some people think its "skimpy" on SS. I don't think it is. It has it where it should and no where else (keeping the cost down)!

Otherwise, there isn't much else to compare its an excellent appliance for the price and for a french door. The ice maker is a tad loud when it draws water (and it might catch your attention until you are use to it). The "measure" feature is nice when baking and you want to use filtered water. Speaking of filters, it is a generally available item you can get here on Amazon or any store that sells appliances (the filter states it fits 5 different OEM's). I hope this thing gives us several years of trouble-free use!

We got whirlpool WRX735SDBM during the memorial day sale and got installed on 06/01/2013 and looking good so far. Front panel is very easy to operate and is also stylish. I specifically like the measure option of the water dispenser. Visibility inside the top cabinet is very good and the temperature control for the middle drawer is very useful. My experience with this model is great so far and with the sale price tag I recommend this model.

Only had for a day, so I hope to update this. This frig replaces the nearly identical G model, but supposedly (acc. to Whirlpool cust services 800#) removed the "Sabbath" function where apparently some religions believe it sinful to have lights on your device. However, the manual suggests that function is still present.

The computer/data panel is kind of neat. They recommend changing default temp by one degree at a time, & I had to tell it to drop the temp in frig and freezer around 4 5 degrees during mild (67-74 degree) room temp to get it in range that my power company recommended w/ their tiny thermometer. No biggie, but I'm not sure the computer temp or the utility company's thermometer is accurate yet. I will check w/ a third gauge & hopefully post an update.

This frig is DEEP, like many this style, and I'm going to have to bust out my doorway a bit to get it in the kitchen, but it's attractive & running well so far in my breezeway.

Very nice fridge and shipping was decent for how far it had to come. I have looked for months for a stand-up solar but only could find smaller ones in the U.S. I took a gamble and it payed off as this is a great company (Many thanks to Ben) with helpful/quick responses.

I have had it hooked up (1x 200Watt/24Volt Solar Panel + 2x 12Volt Marine deep-cycle batteries connected in series to make them 1x 24Volt) now for 2 weeks with no problems at all. It is surprisingly quiet and the freezer was alot bigger than expected.

If you are looking for a good fridge for a Cabin, or just want to get off-the-grid. This is a great fridge to do it.

this refridge/freezer lived up to my expectations. So many before pulled more amps than rated this one's stayed at its rating. The only suggestion would be to design the shelfs to be able to hold a gallon jug of milk. The service department was excellent with thier follow up and help. Definatly will purchase future products

gauges don't stay calibrated. as soon as i got them i had to calibrate them to zero and without ever using them once they were both out of calibration within a few days.

Buy something thats higher quality. Ive always found that when it comes to tools you don't want to cheap out.

Magic Chef MCCF35WBX 3.5 Cubic Feet Chest Freezer

I bought one four months ago at Home Depot. After a month, the temperature control went out for no apparent reason which caused all the contents to thaw. I unplugged the freezer, plugged it in again and it began to work. Magic Chef sent out a repairman to replace the temperature control. He seemed no at all surprised by my account of the freezer suddenly stopping then restarting.

After about a month, I noticed smelly, bloody liquid coming from the freezer once again. As I'm sure you've guessed, the freezer stopped once again for no apparent reason causing the loss of all contents once again. This time the freezer restarted without any assistance whatsoever after a few days. The freezer is in my basement, so it's quite possible that the contents could have thawed, sat that way for a few days and then frozen again after the freezer restarted. I'm not a bacteriologist, but I don't think anyone would recommend eating turkey, fish, beef, etc. that has sat at room temperature for a few days before being frozen.

Magic Chef has offered to refund the purchase price, but refuses to do anything about the lost food which only totals $62.50. Nonetheless, a freezer that works 98% of the time is more worthless than a freezer that never works. At least you won't lose food in the freezer that never works.

Based on my experience, I would urge you to stay away from Magic Chef. At the very least, don't put anything that would spoil in one.

Please do not buy buy. Don't waste your good earn dollars on a magic chef.you gonna regret it .you will be sad.the mcappliances customer service is horrible and annoying. They do not care about you. Life is hard enough you don't wanna pay money for extra problems in your life . Say no to magic chef.

The fridge arrived yesterday as expected. I love it. It's great and the smaller size was exactly what I was looking for. However, the experience that I had with the delivery service was terrible.

I had received a call notifying me of delivery for Sunday 6/2/13 between 3-5pm. I was going to be alone in the house so I asked my son to stop by to help me install the water lines after it got delivered. I received a call that the fridge was coming by 1pm, earlier than expected. Fine. I reached out to my son so he can stop by but he was going to be there a little after 1pm. When the delivery company came with the two men, one of them told me that they would be leaving the fridge on my front lawn! I asked them why? They told me that to bring the refrigerator in the door would cost me an additional $80. I was shocked and upset. I had never heard of anything like that. I told them that I know I said I would not want the installation service for $99 but the refrigerator can not be left outside and that when the company called me to set up the delivery date, I was never told that it was so. The delivery men argued with me and said that they would not bring it in if I didn't pay. I called my daughter who helped me order it. She asked them for their bosses phone number and was given the wrong number twice. When she questioned them, they told her that their boss doesn't work on Sundays and that they didn't want to give her the number. She immediately got on the phone with Amazon. My son arrived while she was on the phone with Amazon and he tried to talk with the delivery men. They told him that they would not bring it in the house and even if they tried, the box would not fit. When my son told them that my daughter was on the phone with Amazon, they finally decided to do us the "favor" of bringing the fridge into the foyer of the house at no cost. They obviously didn't have a problem bringing it in the house as they did it within 10 minutes.

All in all, it was a disappointing experience. Don't know what kind of freight service the vendor is using...

If you're looking for a french door refrigerator in the 33" width, you don't have many options. This is one of the few.

It could so nearly have been a great fridge, but it's the design that brings it down.

The doors are clunky, and the buttons on the outside are unappealing and cheap looking. But the inside is functional and though the drawers are a bit plasticy, it's pretty good.

The worst part about it is the water/ice dispenser. When you think about it, you pay quite a premium for a thru-the-door water dispenser compared with fridges that don't have them. The best thing about this one is that the internal mechanism for dispenser is slim. Unfortunately, it clogs up far too often. But the actual dispensing section is the real let down. The water comes out in a weak trickle from what I can only describe as a urethra, positioned in a way that always catches people out first time they use it, and always makes them laugh at it. But whoever designed the paddles you push to dispense water or ice needs their design license revoked. They made the paddles to curve outwards a way that is not complimentary to a glass or bottle you're basically trying to hold a curved surface up against another curved surface, so your glass is always slipping about on the paddle. If they'd have curved it the other way it would not have been a problem.

This refrigerator does its job, but we aren't completely happy. There are a few things that aren't up to par. The french doors are very loud when opening and closing them, and so is the freezer drawer. When opening the left door, the mechanism snaps open. when closing it it snaps closed much louder. The freezer drawer has a clicking sound when the drawer slides open and closed.I already had to call to get a replacement part for the french door mechanism that guides the door open and closed inside of the refrigerator.

Very quiet, works very well. Doesn't hold temperature when loosing power, but since it's more of a cellar than a standard fridge, it resets to its lowest setting (55'), which is perfect. Only thing keeping it from 5 stars is not having wooden faces for the drawers.

Received this wine fridge last night-so far it is fantastic! It shipped well and was in pristine condition when I received it. I let it sit upright as recommended for about 2 hours before plugging in. Empty it cooled from 78 to 55 degrees in about an hour. After I put my bottles in (18 total), it took about 3.5 hours for the temp to register back to 55. My single, minor dislike is that while the shelves are stated as being able to fit a standard sized pinot bottle, they seem a little narrow. Maybe I have larger bottles, I am not sure. I did take out one shelf and adjust the other five to give some more room and I also did not use the bottom of the fridge as a shelf. With the racks set up as you receive it, you can fit 24 bottles-using the bottom of the fridge gives you the extra 4 to make it able to hold 28. For the rows of bottles that we will be laying down for 5+ years, I removed the shelf above the row, put in the bottles and replaced the shelf-this let me get my bottles in with no lable damage. Overall I am very, very happy with the fridge. It is quiet and seems to have very little vibration and did not require any leveling.

**EDIT 6/10/13: I still love this product but have problems fitting my bottles in it-this has limited how many bottles I can store. A little disappointing condisering the cost and that it is supposed to fit a 'standard' size bottle. I will likely get a 6 or 12 bottle cooler just for my ready to drink bottles so I no not have to wrestle with the shelves just to get out a bottle of wine. I save labels so I really do not want to destroy a label just to get out a bottle. Great product, looks beautiful, runs well, but the shelves are just too narrow.

I bought Wine refrigerator unit (Capacity: Up to 235 bottles) in 2007 and since that it was broken twice and even though it's on 5 year warranty, WINE ENTHUSIAST refused to fix it for the second time it's broken and ask me to pay extra for the new unit to ship to me ( STILL UNDER WARRANTY!!!). Never buy here again, share my terrible experience with everyone I know. Spent 5 days on the phone with customer service and promise that their GM will call me back...never called me back. Very disappointed.

I'm surprised that the other two reviewers' product lasted so long. My wife got this as a Christmas gift from work, and we decided to use it to cool bottles for our newborn at night.
