This unit was acceptable, just acceptable as it never did impress, but after about a month it stopped cooling. Very cheaply made. Even before it stopped cooling I'd open it to discover a puddle of water inside of it.Read Best Reviews of Koolatron BC-46SS Kool 48-Quart-Capacity Compact Fridge, Silver Here
This item arrived with several dents in it and the freezer takes up too much space in an already tiny refrigerator. It is not even nessesary to have a freezer in this because it does not even fit anything anyhow.!!!!!!Thursday, March 13, 2014

We use these in our Kenmore refrigerator that dispenses water and ice. They work great and at a lower price than others. These work just as great as the ones I was buying from the appliance store at a much better price. I would recommend this product.Friday, January 24, 2014
Dual Zone Built-in Wine Cellar
- Voltage/frequency: 115 V AC/60 Hz
- defrost type: Automatic
- depth: 23.38
- height: 32.0
- width: 23.63
Fit under countertop with nice appearance
Have Dual zone temperature
Have Front vent placement to prevent burnout
Come from a Credible manufacturer
Cost Under $1,000
I simply could not find any other wine chiller that met all of these needs. Summit is a great brand (from kegerator experience), and the capacity of this fridge is PLENTY (trust me) for those who like both red & white wines.
The fit & finish is rock solid, while the inside is beautiful with red-stained wooden support beams & blue LED lighting. The white wine temp range is from 40-50F, while the red wine temp range is 50-64F.
The chiller fit perfectly--just snug enough--underneath the countertop & flush against its neighboring base cabinets. You will need to make sure you install an additional grounded outlet very low in the wall in order to plug this item in and have it pressed directly into the back wall, but it will look & function great once it has been installed.
A couple precautions for prospective buyers: 1) Beware of any wine chillers that do not have a front vent placement if you plan on placing this under a countertop (your compressor life will be shortened). and 2) do not place this item directly next to a heat-producing item such as an oven or dishwasher (this will also shorten its life and reduce its effectiveness).
Cheers!

Purchased this product because we wanted a dual zone under counter unit. While it's a very nice looking unit that is reasonably priced for its dual zones, and the only one we could find that had an a physical separation between each zone, it's very noisy. In addition, judging by the temperature monitor on the face, the temperature zones seem to fluctuate about 10 degrees either way without apparent reason. We set the red at 60 degrees but often it reads as low as 54 degrees and as high as 64 degrees. Same for the whites albeit at lower temperatures.Read Best Reviews of Dual Zone Built-in Wine Cellar Here
Summit SWC530LBIST I have had this cooler for over a month now and have mixed feelings about it. I did not purchase it from Amazon but wanted to write the type of review that I wish I had seen before purchasing this unit. The few reviews I found for it, said that it did the job and wasn't too noisy. I guess I have a different opinion about acceptable noise levels. It looks nice and chills wine just fine, but the compressor is very noisy. It is in my kitchen and I do not have it mounted in a cabinet yet so that could contribute somewhat to the loudness. This unit has 2 fans that are mounted inside the cabinet. They look like the same type of cooling fan that you find in a computer case. The bottom one is fairly quiet but the top one is another story. It cycles on for 10 seconds and then off for 10 seconds 24 hours a day. It has a loud whine when it starts and a loud whine the entire 10 seconds it runs. The only time you don't hear it so much is when the compressor is running because the compressor is very loud!
So while it does a nice job of chilling wine (and surprisingly there is a temperature difference between the top and bottom "zones"), it just might drive you a bit crazy listening to it if it is within earshot!

1/2" Compression Hose End Plug Raindrip Replacement .620 OD with 3/4" Cap - Green Ring
These are great fittings and I use them on systems that operate with a pressure reducer at 25PSI so I can't say how effective they would be at higher pressures. The downside is that once on they do not come off and that's why they get 4 stars. I much prefer the Orbit & DIG systems because parts are interchangeable (these will not work on them because they are yet another variation in the 1/2 -inch measurement) and they can easily be removed if you want to add more hose or change an end cap to a tee. I purchased 500' of Rain Bird hose not knowing that I would end up with a 1/2-inch drip line that required special fittings so I have had to buy even more fittings to get the line useable. It's your choice which way you go but don't pay more than a buck for these fittings and since I can't buy them locally I'm glad there's some choice on Amazon. I still prefer the Orbit & Dig because home centers carry parts and they're pretty cheap also. If you remove one of these fittings you will need to use another fitting to use it again... if you want to remove and end cap to extend a line you will need to add a coupling ahead of the end cap to use it again so don't cut them off too close... or you can use a female hose end, remove the cap and screw them together. I have several pretty extensive drip line systems that cover several large gardens, trees, shrubs and flowers so the cost of parts adds up quickly. Bottom line... nice fittings, can't be removed and I think they're somewhat inferior to the Orbit & DIG line of fittings.

Haier WDNSC145 Convertible Freestanding Full-Size/Tabletop Water Dispenser
One problem i've noticed (minus the one star) is that when you have both hot and cold water switches on, both the hot water and cold water compete for ready access. This is not a big deal, so I usually just leave one switch on a time (usually cold since it gets the majority usage).
As far as heating and cooling quality, when it's hot, it's SUPER hot. When it gets cold, it's cold enough to condensate your glass, but not ice cold still refreshing!
UPDATE: Here's something else I wanted to add. Unlike other water coolers, this one does not run constantly cold or hot. If you have the cold switch on, it will keep recooling the water in cycles (you'll see the cold water light go on every 20-30 mins or after use). Same with hot water. If you have the switch on, it will reheat the water in cycles (every 20-30 mins or after use). Another minor annoyance (-.5 stars), but again, it's tolerable.
Updated rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsI was attracted to this unit because it includes separate power switches to turn off the hot and/or cold water when you want to. I like hot water on the red tap, and room temperature water on the blue tap, and it's actually very hard to find that combination of features.
Unfortunately, the water that comes out tastes like burnt plastic. I called manufacturer, who suggested soaking the inside of the unit with solution of baking soda (1 Tbsp), vinegar (1 Tbsp), and water (1 Gal), but this did not fix the problem.
One other note: Having tried out a few water dispenser units recently, I can say without a doubt that this one has the most annoying child safety device on the hot water tap. As a result, the hot water tap is awkward to use.
Manufacturer offered to send a replacement but it would take three weeks to arrive. Since we had already waited two weeks for delivery of the original unit, I decided to return the product for a refund instead.
The Amazon.com return page said I would have to pay return shipping, but I called Amazon and they sent me a free return shipping label.
In sum: the product quality was lousy but the customer service from the manufacturer was pretty good and from Amazon was outstanding.

I bought this unit when I was moved to the bungalows at my school and wanted a way to have hot water for instant coffee and cold water for the many days when our room a/c is broken. For the three months that I've had it so far, it's been great. I like the fact that I can turn the power off on the unit for evenings or weekends (just adds good peace of mind), and switch it on in the mornings for quick hot water and refreshing cold water throughout the day. I use 3-gallon home delivery bottles that I take to and from school without problem and these, combined with the countertop nature of this dispenser, make this just too convenient for me NOT to have!Read Best Reviews of Haier WDNSC145 Convertible Freestanding Full-Size/Tabletop Water Dispenser Here
We've only had the dispenser for about a month now, so I don't know how valuable my opinion really is. Nevertheless, no problems thus far. The design is slightly confusing, not in respect to putting the base together, that was pretty straightforward, took only 15-20 minutes. But the base is made out of thin plastic panels, on which you place the 25-30 pound water filter machine, and then on top of that goes the 5 gallon jug of water. Honestly, I'm amazed the whole thing hasn't collapsed. But there it is, with no visible signs of the dispenser falling over anytime soon. There was a bizarre, chlorine like odor in the kitchen the fist week we turned the machine on, but no one's gotten sick from the water. -UPDATE: the dispenser lasted from 2007 to 2012. That's five years without one problem with it. Not a bad deal for the price.Want Haier WDNSC145 Convertible Freestanding Full-Size/Tabletop Water Dispenser Discount?
We recently discontinued our bottled water service at work to save some money. So the four employees that are in the office on a daily basis chipped in to buy our own unit (and refill our 5-gal jug at home). I did a lot of reviewing on Amazon and other sites. This unit stood out as the best deal. After some easy assembly and start-up, we are all extremely pleased with it (one month later). It's great having on/off switches for both hot and cold water. We can turn the unit off on the weekends to save power. We did have a slight leak in the cold water spigot. But after popping the lever with it's own spring action, it re-seated and has worked fine since. Something to keep an eye on. Very happy overall.Thursday, August 8, 2013
Whirlpool WTW8200YW Cabrio 4.6 Cu. Ft. White Top Load Washer - Energy Star
- H2Low Wash System
- Quiet Spin Technology
- ENERGY STAR Qualified
- Dimenisons (WHD) 27 9/16 X 45 1/8 X 27 5/8
I can't comment on the last two items personally, since I am one of the people the reviewer above refers to, who fortunately replaced my disappointing Cabrio with a Speed Queen, the only fully mechanical, American-made (to last!) washer left on the market. (Speed Queen's main competitor used to be Maytag, until they were bought by none other than a company that begins with W.) My Speed Queen AWN412 is a complete 180 degrees from the Cabrio in every way. It looks and sounds like my grandmother's circa 1960 washer (complete with simple dials and a pull knob) and it functions like it, too, washing clothes thoroughly, without undue wrinkling and in half the time the Cabrio would take. Just beautiful.
Like my fellow reviewer said, don't be fooled by appearances and a fancy platinum panel of electronic buttons that are far more likely to malfunction--or the quiet, high tech noise that belies new but unimproved technology. It doesn't matter what your washer looks like--just that it cleans your clothes well. If you can't stand the traditional sounds of an agitator churning away, just turn up some music or sing Hallelujah that you don't have a high efficiency washer attempting to spin the dirt off your clothes at warp speeds. The bottom line, as I learned the hard way (and paid for, with a steep 20% restocking fee from a local appliance dealer--despite being oversold on the Cabrio), is that you simply need a tub full of water and an agitator to clean clothes properly (and there are multiple settings on the Speed Queen so that you can match that water level to your load size).
The government regulations that led to this new "green," low-water technology may be well-intentioned, but they are nonetheless misguided. As much as liked my previous Maytag, it died after 7 years--which is probably longer than I would have gotten out of the Cabrio. So to echo what a Speed Queen reviewer wrote on Amazon, the savings on energy and water with high efficiency washers is completely negated by the energy from manufacturing plants polluting our environment as they create appliances that break so quickly and end up in landfills. Not to mention having to rewash clothes that aren't clean, doubling the amount of water/energy use, and having to prematurely replace clothes that are destroyed. Or the increased use of your dryer--and iron--to remove wrinkles. Or the need for toxic cleaning agents to prevent mold (which undercuts the use of natural and organic products). So, it turns out, "high efficiency" does not equal "green" when it comes to washing machines, and it certainly doesn't equal "effective."
To those who are in the market for a new washer, do yourself a favor and pass on the flashy HE models. And to those who are stuck with one--Good Luck and God Speed (Queen)!

I bought this washer in 2010 and in Dec 2012 the bearings were worn and I was going to have pay around $300 to have it fixed. It still worked but the noise on the spin cycle was so loud we had to do something. The repairman said it would probably happen again after I fixed it so I decided NOT to fix it.I bought a new Speed Queen, a very simple washer without all the bells and whistles and I am very pleased. The salesman here in TX said he replaces Cabrios with a Speed Queen on an average of 8 a day. Hmmmm. What does that tell you?
Want Whirlpool WTW8200YW Cabrio 4.6 Cu. Ft. White Top Load Washer - Energy Star Discount?
be warned about this washer, it is a lemon!!! it does not get the clothes clean, it is because there is not enough water in the machine and there is not a good old fashioned agatitor to to properly agatate the clothes to get the soil out, then it never rinses all the soap out and then it does not drain all the water out, so you have to redrain and rerinse the clothes, which uses more energy. I am stuck with this machine for a long time. in the future when I buy a new machine, it will have an agatater and I want to see the water fill to over the top of the clothes. the heck HE machines, very very madvicki
