Summit : SBC500B 24 Freestanding Full Keg Beer Dispenser with Manual Defrost - Black

Summit : SBC500B 24 Freestanding Full Keg Beer Dispenser with Manual Defrost - Black
  • Complete with CO2 tank and accessories for full draft service
  • Accepts half, quarter, and mini kegs of your favorite brew
  • Over two decades of proven reliability
  • Converts to a refrigerator for added convenience
  • Portable design with heavy duty caster support

I bought this item a month ago and it has worked fantastic. Already tapped my fourth keg. Wheels mean that it's easily moved. This is comparable to the Sanyo version (made at the same plant) just labeled with a Summit Tag. Sanyo products are also dependable.

I question the numbers in the description. The C02 should be "12" to "14" instead of "10". The temperature should be 36 38 degrees. Sam Adams recommends 38 degrees which is colder than anything that you can find in a bar. Since the gauge isn't percise, flirting with 32 degrees sounds appealing but you could run into problems with ice chips, frozen keg or wild keg (too foamy).

If possible, upgrade the CO2 gauge. The one provided is a single gauge, which shows the pressure on the keg. A double gauge would also provide you with whats left in the CO2 tank. The single guage works fine if you are on a budget. I'll upgrade later.

Have owned this product since 2002. Works great and never had any problems with it. Only drawback does not come with a built in drain (most don't). I purchased one separately and cut a hole and added one which drains into a plastic milk gallon jug which is easy to empty and/or replace. I can easily roll it to where the party is via the casters. I have used it outside in the summer out on my deck during BBQ's and my guests love it. Be aware that this keg dispenser (as with most that you will find) comes with an American sankey (fits 95% of beer produced in the US) which is not compatible with most European beers. So you will have to purchase a separate sankey at approx. $35.00.

All in all very pleased with the summit keg dispenser. It came delivered to my house in excellent condition and the driver helped unpack it and inspect for any damage, none was found. Unit was easy to put together, had to put the wheels on and assemble the spout. I've had it for a month or so and it works great! A little more than I wanted to pay but it seems to be worth it.You have to be careful to have the correct pressure (co2) or it can be over carbonated but with some minor adjusting you can find the sweet spot. So far so good!

I read a lot of reviews on kegerators. Lots of horror stories of damage during shipping. This unit came very well packed on a pallet. It was sent by a reputable truck freight company. I also read about all the modifications needed to get the beer below 42 degrees. A 50 degree keg left overnight was down to 36 degrees by morning. Only drawbacks are not the problem of this kegerator. CO2 refills are not the easiest to deal with. No fire extinguisher company in the area refills their own tanks & paintball fields don't have the fittings or scales to properly fill these larger tanks. Commercial gas companies want to swap your new aluminum tank with some beat up old one or wait a week to ship it out. Same with finding a retailer that will order anything but Budweiser or Miller lite. I never knew that beer distributors only deal with specific brands. And liquor stores don't want to deal with kegs because of no profit margin and risk of injury due to heavy weights.

I ordered this Summit product via Amazon via AJ Madison and received the kegerator without parts necessary to operate it. I have been communicating with AJ Madison and Summit for 1 month now and still do not have an operating unit. I wouldn't even give this one star. There are plenty of other companies marketing kegerators...choose another brand!

This cooler will keep your wines at the prescribed temperature, but the controls are somewhat inaccurate, difficult to set and maintain at wine temperature (58-60) It's either 55 or less or 70 plus degrees, ok if you are just trying to avoid the hot summer temperature fluctuations. If I could do it again I would upgrade to something that had better temp controls.

On the plus side, the unit is attractive, keeps things quite cold, and is not very loud although I'm not sure I'd want it in my study. I have three problems with the unit. The first is that the packaging is terrible. Even though there was no evidence on the box of any trauma, the door of my unit was dislodged due to the upper hinge being displaced. It fortunately came back into line with a few taps using a light hammer. The cause of the dislocation is that the bottom of the shipping package lacks rigidity. In fact the whole thing lacks packing protection, being shielded by a miniscule amount of thin, low density styrofoam. It's been a long time since I saw a new product packaged this poorly. I consider myself lucky that the unit arrived in as good a shape as it did. Second, the exterior is painted with a matte black paint that is neither smooth nor easy to clean. Third, the front door sweats like crazy in a non air conditioned environment. The condensate then drips from the door onto the underlying surface. I have this in my garage. I've not yet figured out what I want to do with this item, but I'm not totally happy with my purchase.

Vinotemp 142-Bottle Dual-Zone Touch Screen Wine Cooler, Right Side Door Hinge

Vinotemp 142-Bottle Dual-Zone Touch Screen Wine Cooler, Right Side Door Hinge
  • Dual temperature-zone wine cooler to store red and white wines at separate temperatures
  • Frameless black cabinet with seamless, all-glass technology and dual-paned glass door with hinge on right side with door opening left to right
  • Complete with interior blue LED lighting and external security lock and key
  • Temperature Range: 45-65F
  • Approximate Bottle capacity: 142

I've been looking for over a year for a unit that would store my decent collection of reds at a price that makes sense. Let's just say it has not been easy. The decent units cost a fortune and almost everyone has some poor reviews. I thought I found a nice wine fridge on Craigslist and borrowed a truck to go pick it up. Thankfully I took a thermometer with me because the new unit never got below 75 even though the reading on it said 60. I left and decided to stop at Costco for some grocery shopping. By luck I found this unit there for $999 and picked it up. First I would probably advise against getting any such unit off the web. Get it somewhere you can return. I have had no issues but bases on some of the reviews I've read on every model, I've come to the conclusion that some just have defects and need to be returned. Shipping charges are also ridiculous. These units are heavy and once you take the packaging off it's impossible to get back on. Anyhow, it took me less than a minute to start it and set temps for both zones and my thermometer confirmed its got the right reading in both zones so effectively it does what it advertises. Also this must be the only unit that will actually hold as many bottles as advertised. I got exactly 142 in and they include Pinots, Syrahs, bigger Cabs, etc. I only give it 4 stars for two reasons: first, it's louder than I expected as a fan in there runs almost all the time. Mine is in a formal living room and while I can hear it, it's not any different than my top of the line kitchen fridge. Secondly, the lock on the bottom is truly a puss poor design. It works for my purposes which is keeping my kids out of it but any adult can pull bottles out of the top racks while it's locked. I'll write an update if things change but for now I'm very happy. It's a good looking unit though deeper than I expected. Not sure how Costco had it for half or 40% off Amazon and other web stores. Maybe it's being discontinued as with everything these days.

Ordered this unit after space limitations limited my options, but also performed web research on the company and product. It looks great, and keep your wine consistently chilled at the temperature set. My only negative, and it is significant, is the unit's noise. Every time the compressor kicks on, it is LOUD. Then it fades to an acceptable level. The problem however, the unit also vibrates to the point I'm calling in a service request (or it will be returned if not remedied). It is louder than two other fridges in the same space combined by far. I emptied the unit of all bottles, rechecked the leveling on the floor, and set it up a second time, no improvement. The vibration is from within the walls of the fridge, not the wine bottles or racks.

Allavino MWR-1681-SSR 170 Bottle Single-Zone Wine Cellar Refrigerator - Black Cabinet with Stainless

Allavino MWR-1681-SSR 170 Bottle Single-Zone Wine Cellar Refrigerator - Black Cabinet with Stainless
  • Built-in wine cellar with up to 170 bottle capacity
  • All black interior emulates the traditional wine cellar
  • Hinge is on the right. Door is not field reversible.
  • Security Lock
  • Size: 72"H w/hinge x 23-3/4"W x 27"D

Quiet, nice looking.

Standard bottles only...

What does this mean? This means, no Pinot Noir bottles, no Reserve bottles from most vineyards, no... Well... No bottles of any kind that you'd need the fridge to age wine with. In other words, all the cheap wine that you aren't going to age will fit fine in an ideal environment for aging wine. That being said, you could remove every other shelf or simply buy fine wines that would fit... Like Ridge Monte Bello. But then you'd be limited & unable to age wines like Schaffer, Trefethen, etc.

All that aside, you can fit a few larger bottles in the top shelf, maybe the bottom shelf (seems slightly larger) and if you're entertaining a lot this unit should work fine for you to keep your wine ready to serve.

Bosch B22CS50SNS 500 21.7 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel Counter Depth Side-By-Side Refrigerator - Energy

Bosch B22CS50SNS 500 21.7 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel Counter Depth Side-By-Side Refrigerator - Energy Star
  • Raise or lower shelves without having to unload them first
  • Spend less with energy-saving economy and vacation modes
  • Extra bright halogen lighting illuminates interior brilliantly so you can find what you need
  • External controls wih LCD display let you manage inside temps without opening the fridge
  • Dual evaporators maintain perfect humidity and protects against odor transfer

I'm vacillating between 3 and 4 stars, but we certainly like our Bosch better than others who have written about it. The first point I'd like to make is that most reviews of larger appliances are really comparisons between what we had and what we just chose.

We moved down from a 25 cu ft GE Profile (counter-depth) that was 15 years old, and the only reason we did was that it was white (and a little noisy) and didn't go with our new kitchen decor. This wasn't exactly my idea, but I got dragged from appliance store to appliance store, and when I saw this one, I gave it my "seal of approval." The handles were less obtrusive than all the rest, and that for a galley kitchen was the clincher.

Pros: We've had it over a week, and time will tell, but so far it's extremely quiet, and it's good looking. It holds all our food because my wife got very efficient and economized the space, and we're only two people. We've measured temps on both sides, and each was right on the mark to the degree, 0° and 39°. It makes ice cubes very well and quickly.

Other things took a few days to get used to, and have gone from "Cons" to "doesn't matter." This includes the poorly designed ice and water dispenser. The water dispenser is well toward the front and for those used to putting a glass to the back of the dispenser compartment, you'll be cleaning the floor as often as we did in the first 3 days. On the other hand, our floor had never been so clean. As for ice, you should place the glass up against the to of the dispenser, push the button, and you won;'t get any shavings on the floor. To be fair, when it came to crushed ice, our GE used to spit out ice on the floor as well.

Cons: The shelf sizes are badly designed. The bottom shelf on the refrigerator door is almost useless. Maybe some sliced cheese and that's about it. I think it's just 2" deep and that's because, with the door closed, it abuts the vegetable compartment.

The refrigerator door has to be completely open to open some of the drawers all the way. The top shelf is okay for large bottles once you toss the completely useless and space consuming wine rack. There is one door shelf that will hold a gallon jug of milk, but right now we're wondering where we're going to put a Thanksgiving turkey. 22 cu ft either ain't what it used to be, or the extra 3 cu ft our GE had was space we never really appreciated.

If you just want a few ice cubes ADDED to a drink, and you don't want to splash water or soda by adding cubes through the dispenser, you have to pull out the ice cube bucket to get to the cubes. On the GE, there was a door that you could open to the ice bucket and just stick your hand in to get a few cubes out. We miss that door. Well, I miss that door. It's always been too high for my wife to see what she's doing. Is this really a "Con?" If you do this more than two or three times a week, yes. If not, then forget about it and move on to the real pros and cons.

We couldn't figure how to stop the alarm from going off and keep the panel lights on, but I suggest that, if you read the manual CAREFULLY, you'll get the answer. You can lock them out or on as the case may be. And so I'll add the manual as a CON. It must have been translated from the German because there are a few things that take some "interpretation" to understand.

The water filter is outrageously expensive ($70 retail, $50 through Amazon companies) and is supposed to be changed every 6 months. Our water is hard, but of good quality, and I won't be changing the filter but once a year if that. This is ridiculous. Our GE filters had to be changed every 6 months and cost $34 for two! I changed those every 8-12 months, and the water tasted fine.

Bosch gives you all of one sample cleaning cloth, and it does a fantastic job. No fingerprints show, but after application, use a T-shirt to clean off the oil residue. And note that the application of any cleaner makes the front of the appliance appear or actually be darker. Still, we will be buying the wipes and even after the two grandkids come to visit, we'll be able to simply wipe off whatever smudges they leave behind. (Our 2.5 year old grandson was born with 12 hands, so we're also looking for a good glass cleaner. P.S. A house cannot be kidproofed against a 2 year old little boy.)

Last, I'll be calling Bosch for an explanation as to whether this is stainless steel or clean steel (google, don't wiki this). A magnet will stick to the doors and that means clean steel. Clean steel will rust if scratched through, and I shouldn't be paying $2,400 for clean steel! IF manufacturers are using the terms interchangeably, then the practice should be stopped. And since our salesman knew the difference. but conveniently couldn't find his magnet, he should be stopped as well. We were assured that this was stainless.

Would we buy this again? Probably. Our favorite brand became LG, but there are people who hate LG. Others hate GE, and other love KitchenAide. We can't buy one of each and see who's wrong. Sometimes I think that reviews even one like this only tend to confuse. And some make you wonder how people could think that a refrigerator-freezer was going to play Beethoven's 5th every time you open the door.

All and all, we're getting happier about the purchase, but there are still some things that would need improvement and absolute correction for us to be "delighted." Let me put it this way: we're not unhappy with the purchase. That's 4 stars max. On a scale of 1-10, it would be a 7.5 or an 8, and those are pretty high marks, but we haven't had any of the problems the other reviewers have had. Maybe buying through "the mail" isn't such a great idea. If anything goes wrong, not only do we have the seller 5 miles away, we have the service center just 20 miles away in San Francisco.

I replaced my 14 year old dead quiet white Maytag with a stainless steel Bosch. It has a nice, sleek look, but problems and more problems. The first Bosch refrigerator was different from the showroom model in Lowes (stay away!). The showroom model did NOT have two large vent holes on the top surface of the unit, and the refrigerator I received did--covered with stainless steel tape. I was told by the deliveryperson to keep on---a real pretty site, right? That was the first thing. Second is the constant-I repeat, constant--and penetrating alarm sound/shrill beep that goes on 15-20 seconds (not one minute) after the door is open, and there is NO way to permanently shut it off. It can drive you CRAZY. Next is when you get water from the dispenser. No matter how careful you are, it leaks and drips onto the surface of the door, then drips AFTER you take away the drinking glass. In addition, the freezer shelves fill with frost VERY quickly. However, I noticed a crack in the interior of this unit, so back it went to Lowe's, and I received the same model as a replacement. Why I just didn't select another/different brand, well, I was naive. I have a space problem and need a counter depth refrigerator.

Anyway, the second Bosch refrigerator arrived, complete with the holes on top and all its other sundry faults I mentioned above. Now, the difference is that this second unit was so noisy, so loud, that I heard the noise from my bedroom, which is quite far away fron the kitchen. The noise was that loud and constant. Let me repeat: constant. I absolutely could not and cannot take it. I could not get a restful night's sleep. Mind you, the first refrigerator was quiet. This second replacement, as loud as can be, and extremely intolerable and unrelenting. Obviously, there was something wrong with it. I called Lowe's and they are picking it up tomorrow, and that is the end of my buying a Bosch refrigerator. I will have my money refunded. I am thinking about an LG. I hear that brand is the quietest. Any suggestions? Bottom line: please stay away, far, far away, from Bosch refrigerators. The absolute worst. Oh, one more thing: I have a Dacor range and microwave. The stainless steel on Dacor appliances seems superior in shine and durability to the much more duller Bosch finish. Don't buy Bosch. Ever.

Update: I finally found a refrigerator--a KitchenAid. See my review of this.

During my shopping process for a whole kitchen full of appliances, I noticed reviews are either penned by haters or lovers. That makes it hard for people trying to balance cost, function and reliability, because no appliance will ever be perfect. I was just now shopping on Amazon for a new filter for our fridge and noticed this product did not get very good reviews, I mean not at all. So I have to chime in and tell everyone this refrigerator is fine!

We've had this fridge installed for 6 months now. Two weeks after we put it in the ice maker went out. I immediately predicted gloom and doom and cited all the negative reviews we'd read here. But the warranty repair company sent someone out immediately. He told me this unit uses the exact same model as most other brands out there (like Jenn-Air, Thermador, Kitchenaid and GE, and all the icemaker units come from same manufacturer in China) and we just got a lemon ice maker and a gear was stripped out, which meant it wouldn't turn out the ice cubes. That whole unit got switched out at no cost, no problem. Since then we have had no issues.

Some pros, as I see them: the lighting inside is good, even being "not LED." Seriously, it's a fridge not an operating room. I really like the shelf that rotates up or down easily. I can do that to make room for something tall below without unloading the shelf. The doors do need to open almost all the way (like almost all side by sides) but the drawers slide in and out very smoothly. It is consistently very cold, and I love being able to adjust the temp on the lower drawer independently. Some weeks it holds meat at a lower temp, sometimes it's just regular stuff that's overflowed into the drawer. Also, we had an "oops" where my young son pulled the milk carton out of the door shelf too fast, and knocked that whole shelf out onto our tile floor. It hit pretty hard, and the silver rim came off, but it did not break or crack. (and the silver rim popped right back on.) Thank you, Bosch, for plastic strong enough to survive young families!

Now for some minor, picky cons: The very bottom refrigerator door shelf is useless. I think I currently have a baggie of pine nuts shoved in there, and that's really all it will hold. And the shelves on the freezer door are a little small too. This is a pretty compact unit! The control panel on the outside really takes some practice. If we ever have to do anything tricky it requires a trip to the manual drawer. I would never, ever use that panel for the timer function. Heaven help you if you set that thing. It's not intuitive. Most people who come to our house and try to use the water/ice function without a warning get their feet wet. The water dispenser is pretty far forward. This is a minor complaint, because you only make that mistake once, but I can see how people keep mentioning it in reviews because it is a little startling at first. I've never met an ice dispenser that behaved all the time, and ours does just what they all do occasionally. Crush when you've asked for cubed, spit a piece out spontaneously, etc. Very rare but it happens.

All in all, I'm really happy with this purchase. For a mid-price, sleek, stainless refrigerator, it's performing exactly as I'd hoped, which is to say that it does its job so well I usually don't even notice.

Want Bosch B22CS50SNS 500 21.7 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel Counter Depth Side-By-Side Refrigerator - Energy Discount?

I so want to love this refrigerator. It is beautiful and the space inside is incredibly usable...seems like more room than my last full depth refrigerator. We did notice in the first few days that the interior temp was not accurate (different than the display temperature). But, we simply turned down the temp a few degrees. Two weeks later, a very, very loud squeeking/chirping noise started coming from the rear of the refrigerator. We could hear it from outside. We called Sears who were happy to send a repair person or exchange the frige since we had it such a short time. Bosch was not helpful in the slightest. Remarkably, the noise stopped. I really hoped some sort of kink had worked itself out. Today, the repair man came to take a look and apparently the fan blades had fallen off. Apparently, the squeaking was when the fan was in trouble. It quieted when the blades had fallen entirely off. I'm just glad it happened during the 90 day return period.

We went ahead and bought our Bosch appliances after reading several reviews. We had a Bosch dishwasher which was outstanding in terms of how truly quiet it was. But it was at the end of its life and had to be replaced so we wanted to stick to a Bosch dishwasher and my wife insisted that all the appliances had to match in appearance, so we stayed with the brand including the Refrigerator.

As people had pointed out, it was loud after the 1st 24 hours of operation and we were wondering if we had made a mistake. I called that Appliance store and they said that all new high efficiency refrigerators are on the loud side. I took that with a grain of salt. However, after realizing that the temperature setting for the Crisper drawer was much lower than that of the Refrigerator, I bumped it up a bit (i.e. the Refrigerator is at 39, and the Crisper is at 37.) This dramatically brought the noise level highly infrequent and at a much lower level. I'm wondering if the temperature differential in the same side of the refrigerator was making the cooling system compensate frequently and perhaps decreasing the difference fixed the problem.

We're much happier with the purchase in the 3 months we've owned it. As others have noted, it depends on what people are used to but the water dispenser doesn't have a dispense latch that opens the valve. Instead it is activated by the button up in the front, which doesn't bother us, but guests that we have over appear to look for it.

We love the SuperCool feature. There were concerns initially on whether the refrigerator was cooling sufficiently, but as time has gone by, we are used to how the system works. We have not used the SuperCool feature in the last month and the cooling is very consistent with no worries.

We've had this fridge for over 3 months. It chills very well, looks great in our upstairs breakfast bar, and is very quiet.

I would recommend this.

Update: After having it for 6 months, I walked by and noticed water on the floor in front. I began to inspect what was causing the leak found in the lower back of the fridge was about 3/4" of ice and was keeping the unit from cooling. So I dethawed and was back in business, but also notice the light wasnt working. Just keep in mind that you will have to manually defrost this unit.

We use this as our beverage refrigerator for sodas, beer, etc. We've had it now for about a year and it has been fantastic. A perfect replacement for the ugly old trash compactor we had in the spot before.

Like others, I purchased this cooler to take the place of an old trash compactor and I couldn't be more pleased. Unpack, plugin, and slide into the hole. That simple! You have to remove one of the shelves to put normal sized water bottles, etc in it but it still holds plenty of drinks and keeps them ice cold. Highly recommended!

My beverage center arrived on time and fit like a glove. However, the door lock does not work. If it did I would give it 5 stars.

Unit was shipped as promised, and came undamaged, and operated fine out of the box.

Unit got cool and stayed cool in first 2 weeks, so no complaints about performance.

However, you should know that the built-in light: a) is insufficient, b) does not go on when you open the door, c)will only stay on for 10 minutes before shutting itself off, and, d) most annoyingly, can only be turned on by first unlocking the whole unit by pressing two buttons at the same time, and THEN the light button. Unless you are the owner, you would have no way to know this. I contacted customer Service and they confirmed these features and that there are no ways to alter them. Frigidaire Refrigerator Gallon Door Bins 240356402

Frigidaire Refrigerator Gallon Door Bins 240356402
  • THIS 240356402 FRIGIDAIRE DOOR BIN IS COMPATIBLE WITH MANY FRIGIDAIRE, GIBSON, CROSLEY

  • WESTINGHOUSE, ELECTROLUX AND KENMORE REFRIGERATORS.

THIS REFRIGERATOR BIN IS DESIGNED TO

  • HELP YOU ORGANIZE AND KEEP TRACK OF THE FOOD IN YOUR REFRIGERATOR. MANY BINS HAVE SEPARATE
  • Works with the following models: Frigidaire #N/A, Frigidaire BGHS2634KE0, Frigidaire BGHS2634KE1
  • Frigidaire BGHS2634KP0, Frigidaire BGHS2634KP1, Frigidaire BGHS2644KF0, Frigidaire BGHS2644KF1

This is the right size and fit perfectly. But these are made of cheap material

and will not LAST LONG. This is not fault of the seller. FRIGIDAIRE needs to

make a better product. These break very easily just opening and shutting the door.

I have replaced 3 of the bins and have owned the fridge for 2 years. I will

definetely never buy another FRIGIDAIRE refrigeratior again. I did not rate

a one star because like i said no fault of this seller just a cheap product

that will not last long. The item does fit and was sent promptyly.

The shelf broke shortly after purchase. I emailed the company to ask about their return policy and they never returned my email. Very disappointed. Usually companies on Amazon have better customer service.

Frigidaire FFHT1817LB 18.2 Cu. Ft. Black Top Freezer Refrigerator - Energy Star

Frigidaire FFHT1817LB 18.2 Cu. Ft. Black Top Freezer Refrigerator - Energy StarComplete garbage, as are most Frigidaire appliances these days. Compressor died two years after purchase. I will not ever buy any more Frigidaire appliances. I had one dishwasher by them replaced three times under warranty and after it died the 4th time, I bought another brand. It is 8 years old and runs like a champ.

The compressor failed after just 18 months. Apparently, these items used to have 10-year warranties with this Fridgidaire but now it's only a year. Now I need a new 'fridge.

It works as a fridge, but has some design choices that really irritate. The small drawer doesn't come out very far, and there's no way to remove it for cleaning. I live in a slightly off kilter Victorian, and I've always used after-market rollers adjustable for height. But for some reason, Frigidaire decided to use a smaller threading for the leveling feet than every other appliance on the market. So I'm stuck with a choice between an immovable but level fridge or one I can move for cleaning on the built in rollers, but with the door swinging open wildly because it's so far off level.

The Maytag matches very well our other newer Bisque appliances so that is a plus.

It has about the same space as our older replaced Jennaire Side by Side 33 inch width one. Maytag : MFI2269VEQ 33in Bottom Freezer Freestanding Refrigerator Bisque

To fit this new one in we had to shorten the height of a cabinet above it but expected to do it for most newer refrigerators. Also it being deeper than our side by side we decided to reduce the back free-standing wall and got an extra 3.5 inches, which was most welcome. So it barely stands out no more than an inch than our side by side one.

In general it has worked very well for the week or so we have had it.

It produces enough ice for a family of three. We like two gallons of milk can fit on the door and easier access for our child to get snacks. It seems very well lit considering our Jennaire was a very well lit model also. I think it will do even better as it has more glass to let light through. It is one of the most energy efficient models in the French Door style we could buy even with the Ice in the Door front dispensor.

We got it from a Big Box store for a fair price that included free delivery and removal of the older one. They also offered a 10% Energy Rebate that helped the price for us even more! (considering we had to do some minor remodeling to get it to fit into the wall better).

The only real complaint is we wished it had an option for an Egg Tray that would fit into the Door's Dairy area! We may make our own one by cutting a nice one we have been using! Or just put 6 eggs in a large silicon ice tray since it is not yet offered. CS replied few of Maytags new refrigerators offer/include an Egg Tray.

It balanced fairly easily unlike our previous model. So over all we like it but do have to adjust to the ice in door taking up room in the top tray area but do fit a few items underneath it. Our last model did not and probably could not have the Ice in the Door so now we do have that option and like it at our currently 33 inch width.

I would not hesitate to buy it again.

We purchased a Maytag refrigerator in July of 2012. It quit working in October. Maytag repairman did not have the replacement compressor that was needed. Home Depot brought us another refrigerator 10 days later. That refrigerator worked until the beginning of May 2013 (7 months later). Home Depot brought us another refrigerator 7 days later. We contacted Maytag after we received the new refrigerator and they were not willing to send us any compensation for aggravation or loss of food. Their customer service to say the least is non-responsive. We will never buy another Maytag refrigerator and we tell everyone we know not buy a Maytag refrigerator. Maytag had to know these refrigerators were defective and they should have recalled them. Home Depot Appliance manager told us there were multiple customers who had issues with these refrigerators.

There are many manufactures of appliances and our advice would be not to buy maytag!
