I had installed this filter into a samsung frig. Lasted about a week and stopped working. Pulled out out and it shot out of the holder. So my guess is it clogged. Returning and getting an other brand. Signed like a good quality filter. But bad in my use.

Just received it and it seems to work. Don't see how this can be called a 26-bottle unit. I see 21 tops, 6 in the upper zone and 15 in the lower. The picture shows only 17 bottles. Had it been advertised as a 21-bottle unit, I would give it more stars. It replaces a trash compacter quite nicely and it is attractive; I don't care for black or stainless steel (and it would look good with either) but using it as a built-in enough wood shelving shows for it to fit nicely in my bisque and wood kitchen. Under-counter, it would be nicer if it were about 3 inches taller; there's about a 4-inch gap to cover.

Doesn't really hold 26 regular bottles otherwise nice quite operation.

While this is, indeed, a dual zone wine cooler, the upper zone's range is calibrated for red wine, and the lower zone for white. You can fit 7 bottles of red in the upper zone, and 19 in the lower. Other gripes:

* Overall appearance is nice, but the pull-out drawers are lightweight and feel cheep

* The bottom drawer is added as an afterthought it just sits on the floor of the cooler

Also, if you buy this cooler from Livingdirect, you are STUCK WITH IT we tried to return it and would have needed to pay over $200 to ship it back plus a 15% re-stocking fee. Go to a local Home Depot and find the right cooler for your needs you'll be better off.

My Maytag refrigerator started leaking water and I didn't know why. I called a repairman who opened the back and immediately told me it was the water inlet valve. We purchased this FRIGIDAIRE side by side for our home and rental property, last year! We are a two person family and the rental property was an older man and women. Approximately, 9 months after purchase we noticed fractures,tiny vein like splits in the bottom of a few bins while cleaning them, on both refrig. We assumed they were natural plastic folds and ignored them. two months ago ,one Gallon bin (# 240-324502) came crashing to the floor, when our niece opened the refrigerator door. The bin held mustard, ketchup and assorted salad dressing bottles. The Gallon bin is rated for two gallons of milk. THIS WOULD NEVER HOLD THAT WEIGHT! The bin broke away at the hinges and the fracture finally broke the bottom out. We assumed she pulled on it and did not contact FRIGIDAIRE! Two days ago, I opened the frig door and another on came crashing to the floor, breaking glass bottle condiments on my kitchen floor. The same breaks and fracture in the plastic were apparent. THESE BINS ARE CHEAP AND DEFECTIVE! I contacted FRIGIDAIRE and they told me its over the year warranty, SORRY; and gave me all the phone numbers, web addys, parts locations in Jacksonville one hour away) and info to purchase some more PLASTIC BINS! GALLONS ARE $43.58 , Smaller bins are $34.50, plus shipping and handling! When I checked our rental properties refrigerator, our tenants had one broken bin in the garage already! All were already fractured!

I spoke with FRIGIDAIRE AGAIN! Explaining to them this is a defective plastic and needs their attention. I was told for a service fee of aprox $125.00, they would send out a rep to view the plastic bins for defects. But only then would it be noted that they were defective and it was their opinion that had the last word.

Who thought that game up over there at FRIGIDAIRE?? Make the customer pay out of pocket $125.00 bucks for a FRIGIDAIRE REP to tell you what you already know they will say.." Sorry, they are not defective", and be out $125.00 and still have no bins to hang on your refrigerator door inside this big stainless steal over priced chill box?? Are they that cruel and uncaring?

That deal already sounds BIAS and being out $125.00 is not fair game. So, all in all this is my OPINION:

They make money off these broken bins! BIG BUCKS! They want them to break away and make you think its your fault! Your kids are pulling on them, you are chilling 50lb weights in the bins, YOU ARE THE PROBLEM HERE, not FRIGIDAIRE!!

The solution is to NOT buy the refrigerator in the first place. An expensive lesson for us. The flimsy clips on this bin spontaneously shattered and dumped everything on the floor when I gently tugged the door open one day. It was the LEAST-used bin in the fridg, just a few condiments.

Also, the crisper drawer wasn't completely closed one day, and parts of THAT drawer AND the shelf it hangs on shattered when the closing door nudged it shut as it closed.

A similar shelf/drawer arrangement in the freezer broke from (gasp!) the weight of 8-10 pounds of frozen food in the drawer. All told, it's been close to $200 to replace all the the cheap junk with more cheap junk. Pathetic, but I'm sure Frigidaire sees that as a huge success story.

Sadly when I went back to the store to see if other fridges might be an improvement, their shelves and bins looked equally flimsy.

I don't know if the title to my review was descriptive enough, but I will say it another way these bins are worthless I can't believe they would put them into a refrigerator to hold milk, what a joke. I was upset when my two year old broke the 1st one I thought he had pulled on it. Then my wife broke the 2nd one. Junk and I agree I am sure electrolux (who owns frigidaire) loves that they screwed us, but people remember quality.

It deserves zero star. The shelves keep breaking, the design is so flawed and the quality so cheap. I replaced all 3 door bins but finally gave up because the expense was getting ridiculous for replacement bins lasting no more than a couple months with light use.

Now I have a mostly useless fridge door where I can't store anything. Very unhappy customer, but the company must be laughing all the way to the bank, making a lot of money from people buying replacement shelves over and over.

Needless to say, I will never buy a Frigidaire appliance again. And next time I buy a fridge, I'll buy one with molded door shelves if they still make them.

We have a Prof. Series side by side, stainless fridge, the glass / plastic feeezer shelves are poorly designed, the extruded "clip" on le leading edge fits poorly and looks like a child designed it.

I too bought this item from another dealer for $100 more in price and am having the same experience. The concept was just what I was looking for, but there is absolutely no quality to the product. My problem started with the upper shelves not fitting properly and the temperature never going as low as I wanted for white wines. I called Haier and they sent out a technican who opened the door, took one look, and told me the insulation was blown out and the unit was not repairable. He then proceeded to tell me of all the problems I would encounter in trying to get a refund. Well, he was right! It's amazing how many faxes and emails can simply get lost at Haier America over a two month period. I am now in my 30 day wait for a refund after refusing an exchange. I will never buy another Haier product . . . a Korean product made in China.

Update Nov 8, 2007: I just received my refund check minus 10% for using the cooler. I called Haier and asked how I could "use" a product that had no insulutation. I now have to wait another 4 6 weeks to receive the balance of my refund. . .

I bought this at Fry's for $299. At first I was pleased with the product. About 1 month later the fun began. The bottom portion no longer maintained temperature. I called and was surprised when they sent a technician to my house within 2 weeks. The technician said the cooling unit was bad. He ordered the unit and scheduled a follow-up appointment for two weeks from that day. I could elaborate but I will say that the part never came. About 6 weeks later I called Haier, who said it could take up to 90 days to receive the back-ordered part. When 90 days was up, I called Haier again and they initiated an exchange. In short the exchange took another 2 months. I received the replacement unit 6 months after I bought the original unit and 5 months after the original unit ceased functioning. I've had the second unit for a little over 1 month and now it will not maintain temperature. I've been on the phone with Haier for over an hour, trying to get a refund. Please pray for me. Oh, and I forgot to mention that the shelves are too narrow for their slots! Instead of wine bottles sitting on the shelves, the shelves become part of the stack of wine bottles starting on the floor of the unit. When I want to get a bottle out from the middle of the stack I have to disassemble the entire stack. This is a horrible, awful, hideous product. It is now 8 months after my original purchase and I've been through 2 units that each worked for 1 month. I'm afraid this will continue until the warranty expires, at which point I'll purchase a unit from a reputable company.

I bought this wine cooler and it was never right from the start. It had wiring problems, and the parts were not available. After a month of trying to get it fixed, the company shipped 2 replacements to me (over 2 more months), both of which were damaged at the factory. Four months later I still do not have a working wine cooler. I have applied for a refund, which they tell me will take another month. More junk made in China!!

We have had several problems with this wine fridge.

The fans for the upper compartment (white wines) regularly seize when too much ice builds up behind them. Since the fans aren't running, the compartment (and wine) warm up. To get rid of the ice you have to unplug the unit, which causes all of the wines to warm up. Thus some of the wines we've wanted to save have both 1) gotten too warm; and 2) been through several temperature cycles.

The cooling unit for the lower compartment has now completely given up. The fans seem to work but with a temperature set point of 58 deg F it isn't keeping the temperature below room temperature.

Haier's only troubleshooting advice is to make sure the fridge is level and that the door is well-sealed. It is on both counts.

We're now looking for a new wine fridge, and it will not be a Haier!

Frigidaire 297250000 Motor for Refrigerator

The motor comes as pictured and was a screw-in replacement for the one in my Arctic Air upright freezer. This motor has the pigtail cable already in place; all I had to do was clip the wires together and it was good to go. The sockets that the screws thread into are coated with plastic so that they can receive various screws or bolts specific to different fridge or freezers.

It is actually an improvement over the original drawer in that this product has humidity control. This is no knock-off; the crisper pan (as it is officially called) is a Whirlpool factory certified part. If you're new to this experience, first get the appliance number to your frig: it's located inside the unit on a metal tag. Second, go to partselect dot com and enter the number. It will show the specs to every part in your refrigerator. Find the PartSelect Number to the drawer but don't get it through that site as you'll pay double. Finally, search Amazon for the PartSelect Number. While the search may or may not take you to this item, I'm under the impression that these crispers are pretty universal as this one works in refrigerators made by a dozen manufacturers. If you have to take a leap of faith, the odds are in your favor. Considering the discounted price and ease of the overall experience, I can't believe that I waited so long!

The product I received from this Amazon Marketplace seller was a cheap, poor quality knock-off. It's not the real Mccoy. First, it did not have the same amount of layers that my old one did, so clearly you will not have the same quality filtering. Also it did not come in a box, but was merely shrink-wrapped and shipped in a padded envelope. This is not a negative review of the Puresource filter, which is a fine product. I would just buy it from a different seller. As the saying goes, you get what you paid for. I learned my lesson.

The filter was as expected and replaced the OEM filter that we were getting at Sears. This filter cost 1/2 the price of the OEM filters and it is working fine. I don't taste any difference in the water from the orginal filter. Product was received days before promised delivery date. Great transaction!

After installing & using for a week, we have noticed this filter does not remove odors and taste from our water the way that the frigidaire brand replacements did (which is all I had bought previous to this purchase). My Frigidaire Model Number FRS6LF7JS0 uses two of this type of bin, both are on the two lower-most door bins. One of our bins broke off, the lower-most door bin after 46 months of solid use. It gave out without warning, but if you look at the plastic it is molded from, one can see that it can crack suddenly if taken to it's threshold. We would place all sorts of condiment jars, juice bottles, 2 liter soda bottles. It held a good amount of weight for it's size, it just gave out. I rate this bin 4 out of 5 stars because they could have made it out of a more rubber-like plastic, something that would not be as fragile or sudden to break under normal wear and tear. I inspected the remaining same-part-number bin above this and found some crazing on one side, where the plastic bin hooks onto the inner door liner. I would expect this other bin to give out soon as well. NOTE: The FRIGIDAIRE REFRIGERATOR DOOR BIN P/N 240323002 goes on the two lower-most door shelf spaces on my model FRS6LF7JS0. The actual P/N that you will find on the part is 240323000, but for some reason, the catalogue will list the part as 240323002. It is the correct part for this fridge!

The bin itself is fine, and the price is reasonabe. Seller shipped quickly and appropriately packaged. Arrived without incident. Only problem is that it is hard to tell from the picture which of the four different types of door bins used by my Frigidaire refrigerator this is. This is the UPPER refrigerator door bin, not the Lower one. It cannot be used in several of the positions on the right hand door, nor can it be used in the freezer. This is a design flaw in the refrigerator, and a problem with the documentation of the unit, (the parts section of the user guide does not identify these as different parts) and no fault of the seller.

One of the shelves in our Frigidaire crashed to the ground (with several glass bottles of salad dressing) when we opened the refrigerator door a few weeks ago. As frustrated as I was, I did not call your company because I thought it was some fluke thing. This morning, the exact same thing happened as I was trying to get breakfast ready for my children. I had a disaster to clean up, simply from opening our refrigerator door. Shelves on the door should not be breaking in a refrigerator, from a reputable brand, that is barely 2 years old. I am so disappointed in Frigidaire. They are exactly the same and broke exactly the same way, so I am quite positive there is a problem with these shelves. It is so disappointing to be expected to purchase 2 new shelves for over $70, just to have the same thing happen again.

The shelf in my fridge broke. With a little effort I determined exactly the correct replacement part this smaller lower shelf. (A call to the Frigidaire rep helped. She was very precise in her question to be sure I was buying the correct replacement. There are two sizes of shelf in the right door. Upper shelves are larger, deeper with four plastic walls; lower shelves are more shallow with three plastic walls.) I think this product is a little overpriced for what it is -a plastic shelf. I also find that it breaks too easily during normal use (opening and closing the door with food or bottles occasionally falling over). I am very pleased with how well it fits. Make the effort to determine the right part and it will fit exactly in place.
