We bought this compact refrigerator (in white) about 5 days ago at Home Depot and it seems to be working very well. However, as with any appliance it would have helped to know things like when you buy it you should try to transport it vertically or you will have to wait 4 hours before starting it up (so the refrigerant can settle I guess). Also, they say in the manual but nowhere else that you need 5 inches of space between the sides of the fridge and the wall, so this might not be best for a tight or "built-in" space. The manual also says not to use this unit with an extension cord, so again placement is critical. It is very quiet which is something I really wanted. We looked at a lot of models and a lot of reviews and so far we're very satisfied.

Bought the fridge on July 17, stopped working completely October 15th. There are signs of corrosion on the metal in the back, it appears as if perhaps the refrigerant leaked out.

I'd stay away from this brand. Thank you Home Depot for the full refund

I have installed two of the Culligan under sink water filters, one in my home and one in my son's home. I would recommened buying just the filter and attachment and a watts faucet vs. the kit though. The kit has plastic parts and if you go to Menards or Home Depot you can get Watts standard fittings and connectors to do it yourself that are not plastic, they will also carry the plastic water line as well.

It is easy to install and the water tastes great.

On another note: The second filter and attachment I purchase leaked but Amazson made it easy to get a replacement and the second one was there in a couple of days. They are easy to work with on returns. Good customer service.

My son likes his filter system as well.

This filter produces great tasting water and the ice made from the water is prefectly clear. Our water had formally had a very bitter, metallic taste and the ice was cloudy.

It was also very easy to install even using copper tubing. The water seals work great as well. I have not had a single water drop leak

The water filter installs bayonet-style with an easy, quarter-turn twist. The mounting device that the filter attaches to has what appears to be a built-in valve piece which also turns a quarter-turn when installing the filter. Make sure when inserting the new filter that the inlet and outlet nipples on the filter properly insert all the way up into the two, round holes in the valve device (the mounting device) before turning the filter, otherwise the built-in valve may get turned part way thus preventing proper installation. When everything is lined up properly the new filter goes in with minimal effort. If you encounter significant resistance when making the quarter-turn, stop and check the valve piece and make sure that it is turned fully counter-clockwise (as you are looking at the two holes that the nipples go in to). Then insert the filter again and turn. It really is very simple when you do it right (which I didn't do the first time)! This is my second RC-EZ-4 (the replacement filter #). I believe it does an awesome job filtering my lousy tasting tap water and makes our drinking water from the fridge taste great! I love it!

When buying this type of appliance, you expect at least to be operative right out the box. Oh well, I got delivered a unit that had the compressor for the refrigerator non working, so I have not been able to enjoy the unit. I would have believed that the right thing to do is to deliver another new unit in working condition; but not, Thermador says that they have to fix it in the house. That means replacing the compressor and cutting into the line that is sealed from factory. Way to go Thermador;nice way to treat your customers after spending $6,000+ in those units. If you are considering Thermador refrigerators, please buy Sub Zero at the same price; I have not heard of any complains on customer service issues.

This was the perfect refrigerator fit for our kitchen. But after 18 months the refrigerator section stopped working. It took two weeks to get the condenser replaced. Thermador has very poor customer service. I waited a week for their repairman to come out since it is has a 2 year warranty. The man took one look at it and said I needed to call a local repair company in Dallas. So that took another week to get the part and get it working. I also ordered the charcoal filter and ice maker filter from Thermador. They sent some random and incorrect parts like a water inlet??? I have spent almost a month trying to get them to take those parts back without charging me a restock fee or shipping. I can get them on the phone but it's like the Keystone Cops over there. The unit is working now but I don't have a lot of confidence.

The outfit who eventually repaired the unit said it's full of Chinese parts, as are all refrigerators now and basically "they don't make 'em like they used to". I guess I would feel differently about that if I spent $2,000 on the unit versus $8,000.

The only good thing I can say about it is that the size is nice; it is really attractive and it had the french doors, which we needed to fit in our kitchen vs. the subzero which wasn't available.

I purchased this range from a local brick and mortar store and I love it, so far. It has a solid, high quality, updated but traditional look and feel that won't go out of style. It may sound silly, but the big, smooth, heavy metal knobs make a difference to me.

This range has a couple of features that some similar "non-backsplash", freestanding units don't have. It has a stainless trim around the cooktop, so the unit snugs up to the countertop without overlapping, making it simpler to install. In addition, many of the freestanding units vent oven air out the front of the unit. I read that some customers felt a strong gust of air blowing on them, while cooking. This range vents UPward from the back of the cooktop, so exhaust gets pulled away by our range hood fan.

I love the high wattage, extra-large burner in front, which can be used as a medium sized burner as well. Another medium on the other side, a variety of sizes in back and the 5th burner cooks as well as warms. I also love the baking drawer. There is one medium wattage element in the baking drawer, so it requires a longer preheat time, but as long as I remember to turn it on about a half hour before I want to bake some potatoes or a casserole, it does a great job. The larger oven preheats quickly and has many racks for cookies. So far, we used convection to evenly and quickly cook meatloaf and cookies.

We have experienced a couple of minor snafu's. The first scheduled delivery, the unit had a medium size dent and had to be sent back. The second delivery went smoothly, but after the delivery guys left, I noted a very small bend and unpainted section (small like 1/4" x 1/4" triangle shaped section) on the inside section of one of the exhaust holes. I probably could have requested a new unit, but frankly I didn't want the hassle. I called the store and they scheduled a service visit. GE Service carefully straightened the slight bend and ordered some heat resistant touch up paint. As a backup, they also ordered a replacement part for the section of metal that includes the unpainted area. Replacing the part seems like overkill, however, since you need a flashlight and to squint your eyes to see the spot. My only concern is rust (over the years). The paint should take care of that. They have scheduled a followup visit when the parts come in and indicated that I can choose to have them replace the part if I'm concerned that the touch up paint does not look ok. So, I'm very satisfied with their response.

This unit does not have a "hidden element" in the oven, as some ovens on the market do; easier for cleaning. I also would have liked a split oven rack and perhaps a rack with ball bearings, but these are minor issues.

I left a star off only because quality control might need improvement. If our unit arrived without any flaws, I would have given it 5 stars.

I bought this stove nearly 3 years ago. So far I've been pretty pleased. It looks nice and works well for me. I bake a lot and generally just use the regular bake function. The 3 racks are very helpful. I don't have much experience with a convection oven and only use it if I need to dry something out or brown something quickly. The lower oven takes a while to heat up but is convenient if you need to keep something warm when cooking a big dinner. Or if you have a bit of time and don't really want to watch whatever's warming. I just throw whatever I want warmed up in the oven without preheating it and let it slowly warm. My biggest complaint is the metal piece above the knobs in front of the glass plate because it scratches, and also food and dirt tends to accumulate in between the metal and the glass and it's not easy to clean. Also, I'm not sure but I think the oven is getting nosier when it heats up. I can hear a fan or something going that sounds uneven. I will be phoning GE about this. All in all I am happy with the range. I would recommend the extended warranty because it is a pretty pricey item and from my research quality seems to be unreliable.

Please do yourself a favor and do not buy this range. I wish someone had told me all of the reasons you will hate this range. First of all it is seriously over priced. I owned this stove for approx 4mths when the real troubles started. I did not buy my stove from this company. There is only one big element. It looks like there is two but in reality there is only one. You pretty much have to cook everything on 8-9 or high, anything lower was just a simmer. The piece of metal that runs across the top above the knobs scars at nothing. My husband sat a pizza pan on the top and it was part way resting on the metal, he used the pizza cutter while holding the pan with the other hand and just the slight movement looked like he took sand paper to it. The knobs look great being on the front but in reality this is a real pain as grease and food drop on them while cooking, there is no way to avoid this and also no way to clean behind the large ring that the knob fits in. The knobs themselves can be removed for cleaning but the base cannot. There is a gap between this ring and the stove which food gets in. We had a accident involving pancake batter being dropped on one of the knobs and I could not get it out. I tried a tooth pick, I tried laying a wet cloth on it to soak it and it simply could not be removed. The touch screen on the front looks nice and works great but is super sensitive. It works like the touch screen on a iPhone, iPad etc. It is not one you push you just barely touch it. It is made of glass. On one occasion the oven was cut on just by rubbing against it and on another occasion I went to get dinner out as the timer was going off only to discover the oven had been cut off and the food was still raw. Everything else was done but the main course was raw chicken....not good. You would really hate this setup if you have small kids. The oven drawer is a joke it takes forever to heat up and only has one element resulting in burned food, also as we all know oven drawers seem to attract dust bunnies even if it is barely ever opened. The final straw was the piece of metal above the knobs developed a bulge in it for unexplained reasons. Because of this bulge the rubber gasket that fits between the glass top and the metal started to work its way out of the slot. I pushed it back in only to have it back out inside of a week. GE sent out a repair man who ordered a new part, when the part came someone had attached the gasket on the wrong side of metal piece making it unusable. I got a second part shipped UPS when I opened the box it had a used parts in it with food on it and no rubber gasket. The gasket problems resulted in electrical problems where moisture was able to get between the glass top and the metal piece.This is where all of the electrical parts are located for the knobs. This resulted in the oven thinking the door was not closed and the oven will not come on until the door is closed. It would just keep saying please close oven door. I would open and close the door until finally it would recognize that the door was actually closed. After nearly 3 months of dealing with this mess the place I bought the stove from brought me a new stove. I lost approx $300.00 by doing this but I was just happy to have this nighmare out of my house. The only thing this stove has going for it is that it is pretty. Stay away.

I too bought this item from another dealer for $100 more in price and am having the same experience. The concept was just what I was looking for, but there is absolutely no quality to the product. My problem started with the upper shelves not fitting properly and the temperature never going as low as I wanted for white wines. I called Haier and they sent out a technican who opened the door, took one look, and told me the insulation was blown out and the unit was not repairable. He then proceeded to tell me of all the problems I would encounter in trying to get a refund. Well, he was right! It's amazing how many faxes and emails can simply get lost at Haier America over a two month period. I am now in my 30 day wait for a refund after refusing an exchange. I will never buy another Haier product . . . a Korean product made in China.

Update Nov 8, 2007: I just received my refund check minus 10% for using the cooler. I called Haier and asked how I could "use" a product that had no insulutation. I now have to wait another 4 6 weeks to receive the balance of my refund. . .

I bought this at Fry's for $299. At first I was pleased with the product. About 1 month later the fun began. The bottom portion no longer maintained temperature. I called and was surprised when they sent a technician to my house within 2 weeks. The technician said the cooling unit was bad. He ordered the unit and scheduled a follow-up appointment for two weeks from that day. I could elaborate but I will say that the part never came. About 6 weeks later I called Haier, who said it could take up to 90 days to receive the back-ordered part. When 90 days was up, I called Haier again and they initiated an exchange. In short the exchange took another 2 months. I received the replacement unit 6 months after I bought the original unit and 5 months after the original unit ceased functioning. I've had the second unit for a little over 1 month and now it will not maintain temperature. I've been on the phone with Haier for over an hour, trying to get a refund. Please pray for me. Oh, and I forgot to mention that the shelves are too narrow for their slots! Instead of wine bottles sitting on the shelves, the shelves become part of the stack of wine bottles starting on the floor of the unit. When I want to get a bottle out from the middle of the stack I have to disassemble the entire stack. This is a horrible, awful, hideous product. It is now 8 months after my original purchase and I've been through 2 units that each worked for 1 month. I'm afraid this will continue until the warranty expires, at which point I'll purchase a unit from a reputable company.

I bought this wine cooler and it was never right from the start. It had wiring problems, and the parts were not available. After a month of trying to get it fixed, the company shipped 2 replacements to me (over 2 more months), both of which were damaged at the factory. Four months later I still do not have a working wine cooler. I have applied for a refund, which they tell me will take another month. More junk made in China!!

We have had several problems with this wine fridge.

The fans for the upper compartment (white wines) regularly seize when too much ice builds up behind them. Since the fans aren't running, the compartment (and wine) warm up. To get rid of the ice you have to unplug the unit, which causes all of the wines to warm up. Thus some of the wines we've wanted to save have both 1) gotten too warm; and 2) been through several temperature cycles.

The cooling unit for the lower compartment has now completely given up. The fans seem to work but with a temperature set point of 58 deg F it isn't keeping the temperature below room temperature.

Haier's only troubleshooting advice is to make sure the fridge is level and that the door is well-sealed. It is on both counts.

We're now looking for a new wine fridge, and it will not be a Haier!

Got this belt for my samsung. This is the third time replacing this belt in the 5 years I've owned my dryer. This one has "belts" inside to maintain strength, but I don't think it helps. I would get 2 now and tape the other to your dryer. The belts are relatively inexpensive and I have the steps to replace down pretty good now. Whole job takes about 25-35 minutes.

It's amazing that we owned a cheapo dryer for 15 years and never broke a belt. Now I've replaced 3 on my high-tech expensive dryer!!! humpf..

My order arrived in just a few days...and my boyfriend installed this in about five minutes....the water pressure and flow span are both decent... I did notice that the temperature changes just a tad when i switched threw some of the settings...but over all so far this shower head seems okay...

If your a lady looking for a "strong pulsation" show head (wink,wink) this may not be the best shower head for the job...due to the way the water flow falls...but it can still do that job also...just not the best...

but when its on full blast its great for removing shampoo from your hair super quick!

It is a great refridgerator, but the ice maker is not creating enough ice. We've had a technician already replace the motor and it still isn't working properly. It will only make one tray of ice during an entire night. A tech will be back out in a couple days to try and fix it again. But if this doesn't finally resolve the problem, I'm swapping it out for a different model (non-LG).

Icemaker on new model is way too touchy. Does not make ice for days. We follow directions in detail. Then we have to deal with customer service -another country heard from -literally.

Fixing this problem should not take this much man-hours on my part. Wishing we could just phone a repairman like when I was a kid.

Our prior fridge we had a model for 15 years before it began to fail. Only drawback on that model was difficulty in changing water filter. This LG -the most positive thing is ease in changing water filter. That is the only improvement over our late-'90s fridge.

Frigidaire FRU17G4JW 16-2/3-Cubic-Foot All Refrigerator, White

We've had it for 2 weeks.

Door is soooo hard to open that the handle is loose now. I can see that in weeks it will break apart. We called the store back and they are to come check it. I tried vaseline as recommended by a tech (not from store) on the rubber seal, and did nothing to ease the opening.

Also it is verrry noisy. I can hear it from another room. It also start on/off very often. I'd be surprised if the compressor lasts 5 years at the rate is is going on/off and it is not even set as super cold. And it meets all Frigidaire's recommendations for installation.

Would I recommend? No

Would I have bought it knowing this? No

But we're stuck with it.

Edited to update:

Finally found a way to make the door easier to open after trying multiple things. A regular straw that cut the size (height) needed and just put it inside top door (on seal), taped with a tiny piece scotchtape. The hole in the straw prevents the air to be sucked in causing the door to be almost unable to opened. The straw is squeezed when closed but the "vaccum" effect no longer exists and door opens normally.

Also called a technician who told us how to open the door knob plastic cover to tighten the screws. Now all is working perfectly.

Another thing that is annoying is the fruit/veggie basket. Only one huge compartment. No way to separate fruits and veggies. And it has large spaces between rods so everything tends to fall out the fridge. Not practical. All baskets (fruit and top ones) are all grids. So we used plastic cardboard (found in any home improvement store) cut to the size of the drawer to act as a bottom. Otherwise it was impossible to have anything stable. I think engineers must not cook/use fridge a lot to design such poor drawers!

But it still remains a noisy fridge. I would not buy it again but it does the job it is supposed to do: keep food at decent temperature.
