Sioux Chief 696-1010XF Ox Box Icemaker Outlet Box for 1/2" PEX w/ WHA

Sioux Chief 696-1010XF Ox Box Icemaker Outlet Box for 1/2' PEX w/ WHAEasy installation. Had no issues with any leaks. Cover looks good. My only complaint is that the seller bent the metal bracket in a U-shape to fit the item in a smaller box. I didn't need it because I was mounting directly to a stud but someone that was planning on using the bracket would have had to try to get the bracket straight before installing.

Spt Dual-Zone Thermo-Electric Wine Cooler with Heating, 18-Bottles

Spt Dual-Zone Thermo-Electric Wine Cooler with Heating, 18-Bottles
  • 18 standard bottles (top 6 and bottom 12) / 58-liter capacity
  • Digital controls with led temperature display
  • Environment friendly (refrigerant free)
  • No vibration (bottle sediment is not disturbed)
  • Adjustable temperature range: top 44 ~ 64-degree f/bottom 51~64-degree f

The unit vents out to the sides, not out the back. When you try to build a cabinet around the wine cooler, it will not reach desired temperatures due to insufficient ventilation. The units measurements in the advertisement on Amazon were also incorrect. It said it was 13" deep and 22 inches wide. Actually, it is 13 inches wide and 22 inches deep. I contacted Amazon by phone and let them know of this discrepancy.

While looking for a reasonably priced small capacity wine cooler, decided to give this one a try.

The touch panel controls and temperature control mechanisms are unreliable and I first noticed touch panel strangeness after setting it up. The touch panel was initially non functional but with some fidgeting and taps to the top door hinge and realizing there is a wiring harness under the hinge cover, the touch panel worked but remained somewhat tempermental.

The unit appears to have gotten the temperatures mixed up and ended up activating the heater to heat the wine to a nice toasty temperature of over 85 degrees. I had a separate fridge thermometer to monitor after some initial temperature variances and an overheating incident related to a power outage. Two corks popped with such great force that the door popped open and spilled wine all over the floor.

When the unit worked it was fine and temperature was cool at the 45 and 55 degree settings. However, the unit ended up overheating or activating it's heater function and cooked the wine TWICE... no more going back to amazon after 2 weeks. Look elsewhere as now I am running triage on the 18 bottles of wine to see if they are still drinkable after a cook cycle... A lesson learned while getting into the hobby of wine drinking/storage/enjoyment.

Better luck to all.

Bought this to supplement a much larger wine refrigerator out in our garage that is only used for reds...this one is for the modest number of whites that we have on hand at any given time. It looks nice in our kitchen and is very quiet. It can hold 44 degrees in the upper compartment and maintain a 10 degree difference between compartments, with the caveat that the thermoelectric cooling cannot attain a temperature that is more than 30 degrees below ambient. What that means is that this fridge is not for use in a garage that can get to 100F+, as the wines would then get above 70F (I haven't tested the heating capability, but assume it is much more capable). There were no instructions for attaching the handle, but even I was able to figure that out. :-)

Bottom line: Do not buy this cooler. It's not worth it. The quality is horrible and it will break before a year is over.

If you still want to know why I feel this way: The top part of this "cooler" stopped working in January. I got the unit in October. The top portion "claims" to be able to cool to 44 degrees so I placed my white wine on top and the red wine on the bottom. I set the temperature to 47 but noticed recently that it was 60. Then it climbed to 70. And today was a whopping 77 degrees! It's February (read cold) and not even that warm in my house. My house is at 70 which means that the "cooler" is actually heating my wine. *horrifying* It's less of a wine cooler and more of a wine baker.

In regards to getting it fixed/replaced: The return window from Amazon has closed. They directed me to Home Depot who fulfilled the order. Home Depot did nothing to help me other than transfer me to other phone numbers/associates. The total time on hold/wait exceeded 1 hour. I finally got a hold of SPT. Their phone number is 1.800.330.0388. My problem is exacerbated by the fact that this was a gift from my wedding registry. So I had to hound my gift giver for the order information. Now SPT wants me to drive the fridge to their warehouse so they can inspect and possibly replace. Will post updates.

So I got this product and it makes a loud buzzing noise and the digital display does not work. Up to this point I have never had a problem with electronic products ordered through Amazon but I guess there is a first for everything. If you are looking for a headache and what is clearly inferior manufacturing, go with this product. Otherwise, stay away from this one...

SAMSUNG OEM DC47-00015A Thermostat;B-2,-,250

SAMSUNG OEM DC47-00015A Thermostat;B-2,-,250First, I dont like to pay repairman for jobs I can do. There are lots of places/forums which you can ask the experts for the parts and help. Just take proper precautions while working with electrical items. That being said, replacing thermostats, limit switches and coils are very easy to replace for the relative handy person. These parts can easily be tested using a the cheapest basic multi-meter for continuity. My coil and thermostat went on my Maytag Neptune front loader. The packaging and shipping great as usual. I tested the thermostat for continuity prior to installing. While i was in there i ordered the other thermostat, limit switch and heating element(coil) and replaced them all (less than$100 for all of them) The dryer now has all new parts and works like a charm (changing the heating element certainly makes drying times faster!)

I bought thinking this was a different thermostat but this will be a spare. good price and nice to have on hand.

Samsung RS265TDRS 26 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel Side-By-Side Refrigerator - Energy Star</nos

Samsung RS265TDRS 26 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel Side-By-Side Refrigerator - Energy Star
  • Twin Cooling Keeps Food Fresher
  • ENERGY STAR Compliant
  • External Digital Display To Easily Adjust Controls
  • Dimensions (WHD): 69 7/8" X 35 3/4" X 33 15/16"

I have owned this refrigerator for nearly a year. It is very quiet and it has lots of freezer storage space. However it has one problem that drives me up the wall. The ice dispenser plugs up about every three weeks and I have to take the ice bucket out and clean out the ice clog in the bucket and the dispenser chute with warm water.

Here is the scenario that always occurs. I have the freezer temperature set at -2DEGF. Mostly I leave the dispenser switch on "water". I switch it to "cubes" or "crush" when I want ice. After a several days I start getting a combination of crushed ice and ice cubes when I ask for cubes. After several more days I can only get crushed ice even though I have the setting on "cubes". After several more days, It just grinds away with nothing coming out.

Here is what I have to do to get Ice cubes. I open the freezer door and remove the ice bucket. Then I dump the ice from the bucket. I then run warm water through the extraction chamber to clean out the ice clog. The cubes/crushed ice has formed a clog. Then I have to pour warm water though the dispenser chute in the door. Yes, it is usually partially clogged too but the main clog is always in the ice bucket. After cleaning out the clogs, I put the ice bucket back in the freezer door and I am good to go for two or three weeks.

This problem started as soon as I got the refrigerator. I called Samsung and they sent me a new ice bucket. I thought my problem was solved. But it made no difference. The same problem occurred. I swapped the ice buckets a couple of times just to be sure. The problem was the same for both ice buckets.

I lived with the problem for a couple more months before I called Samsung and asked them to send a repairman. The repairman came a couple of days later. It was plugged when he got there. He cleaned it out just as I had. He said this was just something I had to live with and I should switch the setting to "cubes" after each time I asked for crushed ice and dump a few ice cubes. It seems likes the crushed ice is partially melting and then refreezing.

Incidentally, I wrote a version of this review about four months ago and sent it to Amazon. I got an email from Amazon saying someone read it and it was helpful. That review has mysteriously disappeared so I'm writing it again. I think the problem I am having is a design flaw. Samsung should modify the Ice Bucket. I bought this refrigerator based on the Consumer Reports review and rating. They probably only tested it for several days.

Fridge works great, but I found out that you can turn it off with your belly (Im 190 @ 6 feet) when reaching for things you might place on top of the fridge.

The buttons on the ice/water dispenser can turn your condenser off, when pressed at the same time, setting your temps to 0Fc. When that happens your fridge doesn't work and stops producing cold.

Lucky I noticed this before all my food went bad. I called the 800 service number and it was fast and told me the buttons to press to fix this. My temps went up 10 degrees before I fixed it since there is no mention of this in the product literature.

I cant say whether this fridge is worth buying in the long run but having owned it now for a couple of months I think its a very nice fridge with great features for the money. Got cold very fast when first plugged in (a few hours only) and has so far been problem free.

I have read complaints of the led lighting not being bright enough but I think its just fine. Plenty of room for storage, it has solved all the problems I had with my old fridge.

Very happy with the purchase.

Update: a few months in only and the ice maker is now being temperamental about dispensing crushed ice. Second samsung product I have had to have service on so soon after purchase, not good...

2nd update: turns out the problem was trivial, ice caught in the crusher froze, clearing it fixed the problem (but not before a repairman came out to point this out). So upping my review back to 5. Fridge still great!

Want

I've had the fridge for over 7 months, replacing a 12 year old Kenmore. The first Samsung delivered was a lemon (ice maker and condenser malfunction). Returned.

So, let's start from the top down.

1. The exterior has good, clean lines, with hinges hidden behind the door frame.

2. Handles are secure and doors are easily opened and closed.

3. The ice and water functions are consolidated. You must select ice or water and depress a lever dispense. This is one of the major design flaws of this refrigerator: the ice frequently comes out all at once, often spilling over to the floor below; ice is of poor quality, often coming out with chips, and melts rapidly; water is not adequately cooled-no cooler than getting from sink faucet. I much prefer Kenmore's dual dispenser, ice size and quality, and water temperature.

4. Icemaker is SLOW. We have to buy or make additional ice even for small gatherings and, like many brands, the icemaker is noisy. However, having it on the door vs. mounted in the freezer compartment has given us a little more storage space.

5. Temperature distribution is even throughout and items to the rear do not freeze up as with our old Kenmore.

6. A common complaint is there is limited shelf adjustability. However some of the shelves are retractable for easier access.

7. Energy savings have been better than our old Kenmore, but unremarkable.

8. The compressor is fairly quiet.

9. My experience with Samsung customer service was poor.

Overall, while I'm disappointed in the performance of the icemaker, water, and shelf flexibility, the unit has performed acceptably, yet with no notable qualities.

This refrigerator looks really cool, has all sorts of sensors and other electronics, and that may be where the trouble lies. From the beginning, was not happy with the lukewarm water from dispenser (manual says if you don't like it, add ice, no kidding). At 11 months the refrigerator temp rose to 56 degrees and hung there. Electrician replaced computer panel (this refrigerator has a computer), and that solved the problem for one more month. Same thing happened, and this time we learned that the welding on the freon tank was bad, so there was a slow leak that could not be repaired. The repairman said this is a classic issue with many Samsung refrigerators these days. Well, its been nearly two weeks of hanging on customer support lines at Samsung, but we finally have a certificate to replace the refrigerator (the freon unit, thankfully, carries a 5-year warranty). Will not ever buy a Samsung product of any kind again, but then, I'm cranky.

Amana 25 -Cubic Foot Side-by-Side Refrigerator, ASD2522WRS, Stainless Steel

Amana 25 -Cubic Foot Side-by-Side Refrigerator, ASD2522WRS, Stainless Steel
  • 25.1 Cu. Ft. Total Capacity
  • ENERGY STAR Qualified
  • Humidity Controlled Garden Fresh Crisper Drawers
  • 3 Clear Adjustable Door Bins
  • Control Lockout

The only problem we have had in 6 months of usage is a lopsided lower crisper drawer. The drawer works fine but seems a bit off kilter. Runs quiet, but the ice crusher is loud, they all probably are. Have not had a single bit of trouble with anything else. The doors default to the open position, so you must close them manually every time, not necessarily bad. Very good refrigerator.

Model numbers change and "new" versions are released, but this is the fridge that I bought a few years ago... today, just 5 years later, it has basically fallen apart.

DRAWERS FREEZE Yes, I do turn it down but the bottom two drawers freeze no mater what I do. Therefore, they can't be used unless I want to freeze something.

EVERYTHING BREAKS Ever singe drawer has the same problem the plastic isn't strong enough for normal wear and tear so they ALL broke after about 2-3 years of use. The deli drawer no longer hangs at all, the hanging drawers on the door also broke and can't be used much.

HANDLES ARE LOOSE Don't know why, they just are.

BOTTOM CAME OFF You know that black thing that goes across the bottom, it fell off too. Don't know how or why.

POORLY DESIGNED SHELVES It has shelf lips in all the wrong places to reduce the actual usable size.

The good news for me is that I saved my old refrigerator in the laundry room. I keep this one because it is stainless steel and matches the other appliances. Otherwise, I am not sure how I would use this thing.

NICE FINISH that is about the only thing I can say. It has a pretty stainless steel finish.

edit... for some reason I had five stars... must have fat fingered that. Corrected to a rating that reflects my opinion about the product!

The water from my refrigerator door started to have a "funky" taste. We replaced the filter with this one and I could immediately taste the difference. I love the fact that it came in a 2 pack so that I won't have to worry about changing it again for another year or so.

Leibherr 9.4 Cu. Ft. Panel Ready Bottom Freezer Counter Depth Built-In Refrigerator - HC1050

Leibherr 9.4 Cu. Ft. Panel Ready Bottom Freezer Counter Depth Built-In Refrigerator - HC1050Extremely expensive product that stops working properly after 2 years. Frost started to build up in the back panel of my freezer, called the customer service who said the warranty is only 2 years and only the closed loop system is covered up to 5 years. He promptly said the problem is unlikely the closed loop system because the freezer is cooling and said good luck. You pay 5 times the price to have things break in 2 years with no warranty. HORRIBLE.

GE FUF14SVRWW 13.7 cu. Ft. Upright Freezer - White

GE FUF14SVRWW 13.7 cu. Ft. Upright Freezer - White
  • ALWAYS FREE SHIPPING WITHIN THE USA

I recently purchased this GE upright frost free freezer from Home Depot for $delivered (model FUF14SVRWW). Having used it for a few weeks now, I realized that the priced at Amazon for $588 is not unreasonable, if they take off shipping.

Link:I have heard complains that this freezer is noisy and humms loudly. Unless you plan to have this freezer sitting in your kitchen, this is a non-issue. Sitting in the garage, we just enjoy the extra cold storage. The frost free feature means we no longer have smaller and smaller storage as the months turn around, and we are starting to like it saving us time from defrosting and clean up from time to time.

The lock feature is good if you have small kids at home. At least this will eliminate a spot for what might turn out to be a deadly 'hide and seek' game.

The finishing is much more refine than the earlier models, the baskets at the bottom and door compartments makes for easy and convenient storage.

All in all, a great product.

Considered this and purchased at HD in early July (7 weeks ago), put it on my patio. It has worked out very well, not that loud it hums along when its on, but its not like LOUD no way. Holds a lot of stuff I organize it in cardboard boxes by type, has worked perfectly so far, but just in case, got the extended warranty. The outside does get warm (as mentioned in the comments) but it is not hot. If you read the manual, it is supposed to get warm that's how it gets rid of the excess heat to cool the interior. That is normal. So don't go piling stuff on top or you cut down on the efficiency. My only complaint is not with the freezer itself, but with HD and their outsource delivery service. I told them I did not want it deliv 1st thing in the morning. I told them 3 times b/c I have scheduling problem that early. What did they do? Scheduled me as the first stop. It was a problem trying to reach a live person as they were on their way here, but did finally get them to turn around and come later. I noticed on the truck they had laid it down said manufacturing had changed and they can now do that blah blah. I stood it up for most of the day (6-8 hours) before plugging it in, then let it run overnight before putting stuff in it. Leg levelers are only on front since patio slopes we put shims underneath feet to level it out. I love this freezer, wish I had got it long ago. It is an excellent buy and I would definitely do it again. Frost free is the way to go! And, NO, its not loud at all.

Sunpentown WC-12 ThermoElectric 12-Bottle Wine CoolerSunpentown ThermoElectric

Sunpentown WC-12 ThermoElectric 12-Bottle Wine Cooler
  • Freestanding wine cooler properly chills up to 12 bottles of wine
  • Thermoelectric compressor-less technology for quiet operation and no vibration
  • Digital controls with LED display; adjustable temperature from 50 to 66 degrees F
  • 3 removable shelves; interior light; front leveling leg; double-pane insulated glass door
  • Measures 21 by 14 by 19 inches; 1-year limited warranty

This is a piece of junk. It can barely keep wine cool in the winter with the heat off. The fan runs all the time no matter what. Furthermore, when the room temperature is a tad bit above 70 degrees, the light starts flashing along with a constant beeping. The only way to stop this, is to unplug it.

The manufacturer offers no suggestion other than saying it's probably the pc. In my mind "pc" is personal computer, not microprocessor which is probably what is controlling the light flashing and beeping. The manufacturer offers no method of getting a unit which is properly working, even though they shipped the original flashing and beeping unit. They consider it yours because you, well, opened their box. This is the kind of treatment that gives a bad name to internet shopping.

I had to return it because it was very deep and very skinny, just the opposite of how the specifications list its dimensions. It would not fit in the space where I'd intended to put it.

It worked well for a while.

Sure it took a couple days to truly cool stuff, but then it totally died days after the warranty.

Zero. Nothing. Nada.

I'm very sad it was a wedding present with best intentions, and we enjoyed it immensely.

Now this "thing" is in a Florida landfill.

Consider a real refrigerator if you really care about wine temperature.

Refridgerators cost more to operate, but failure is rare, even at the low-end. Add up your costs and you will conclude as I have that this technology is unreliable. Search the internet and you will discover many like me.

Say no.

So sad...

I bought three of these last night at WalMart for $39 a piece. Added a 2 year WalMart warranty for $4 each. I loved the size and how they could actually fit 8 real bottles, including burgundy style bottles. The size is perfect for my application. I plugged them in and after about 2 hours, they were at 55F. I loaded one with 8 Italian-style bottles (long and skinny) and they fit very well! The other two I took out the bottom rack and put a magnum in sideways WITH 7 other bottles! The temp shot up to 65 on all of them (ambient temp + warm wine bottles), but they slowly fell to 55 over a few hours, which is better for wine. I hope these last a long time, since they are great for my application. I will come back in 6 months and do a follow-up. As of right now, they are working like champs!
