These have to be replaced every 6-months or so if you want a good smelling frigerator. You can use baking soda, but these work better. I will repurchase.
Keeps the Refrigerator smelling good no matter how many leftovers are inside of it. No more need for baking soda. Wish all refrigerators had Air filters.
I installed this filter on my refrigerator on 5/3/2013. I woke up this morning (5/31/2013) to a flood in my kitchen. Water was pouring out from around the filter. I did not have this problem with other filters that I've installed.
Best extended warranty I have used. I bought this for my second dishwasher, as well as my first and my laptop. Claims process is very easy. It is the only extended warranty I use.
Easy to work with these guys. They provide very quick replacement or payment. I would get their protection for all appliances made in China and most made in the USA.
I rated this protection plan a five star but there is no way of knowing if it was worth the cost until I have to use it, if and when my Breville coffee maker breaks and needs repair or replacement.
My wife and I had Kitchenaid's top under-counter, dual zone wine refrigerator installed in our new home as an option upgrade. What a mistake! At maximum cooling, the coolest the red range gets is 61 degrees F and the coolest the white section gets is 49 degrees F....that's with the unit empty! If you load it with room temperature wines, it takes days to return to 61-62 degrees and low 50's for the white section (versus the commonly-recommended 55 for reds and 45 for whites). The Kitchenaid customer service rep informed us that their acceptable operating ranges are 60 degrees, plus or minus 5 degrees...are you kidding? That puts 65 degrees in their acceptable range...the temperature above which reds can age at an accelerated rate. We're yanking this thing out and installing the Sub Zero model, that we've had in 2 previous homes....more money, but this is definitely a case where you get what you pay for.
the filter is in two pieces the center started to slide out it just sits in a compartment dont attach to.
I purchased several of these filters because Frigidaire recommends changing the filter and the refrigerator has a light programmed for a certain time. The filters arrived in several days undamaged and at a bulk price that was lower than stores. Plus, stores that stock the filters are hard to find, making more online purchase easier and less expensive due to the price of fuel.
When I bought the service, I bought it for a $650 laptop. However I bought a display laptop for only $450. So in essence I bought a $650 in value laptop for only $450. So when something broke on my laptop they basically told me that they can't fix it, because the service we bought was only up to the coverage of the $450 that we paid for the laptop. Basically they're policies are s***. Not to mention the customer representative started to argue with me and literally shouted at me for 10 minutes before I realized I didn't have to take s*** from them and just ended the call.
I am happy with this purchase, but haven't had to use it yet thankfully, I'll update my review if my espresso machine ever craps out on me.
Frost-Free operation removes the need for defrosting
Bright interior lighting makes it easy to find stored items
I was actually looking for a smaller freezer to take the overload from my fridge freezer, but for the price difference, this somewhat larger freezer (12.1 Cubic Feet), which is frost-free and has an interior light was a much better deal. I remember my mother defrosting her freezer years ago and really didn't want to have to do that. It's a huge hassle. But neither did I need a big fancy freezer and my space is limited. This freezer really fits my needs. It is not too big (outside measurements: 5' H, 28" W, 26" deep)and not too heavy so it can sit on the little platform in the garage outside my mudroom door. We got it up the stairs on a hand truck with no problem. It's handy for me there and doesn't seem to mind the heat in the garage. It's well insulated.
I am using an appliance quality extension cord to the nearest outlet, which is working fine. We adjusted the front leveler legs up slightly per directions so the door swings shut by itself, which is nice if my hands are full. The door provides a secure seal. It has a pocket grasp handhold for opening rather than a latch. The door can not be reversed to open on the other side.
There are no baskets supplied with the freezer and I wanted those so have ordered some small freezer baskets Chrome Basket (Chrome) (8"H x 11.75"W x 12.75"D) for the shelves to contain my produce sealed in plastic using my FoodSaver. These baskets are a shade too wide to fit two abreast on the shelves, but I got one for each shelf and am using the other half of the shelf for things I can stack and larger items. The shelves, by the way, are non-adjustable, but well spaced.
I knew I wanted an upright freezer, but the extra space offers the unexpected bonus of allowing me to freeze homemade juice pops for the grandchildren (which need to be upright and level until frozen) and gives me room for a cookie sheet holding strawberries to be frozen separately before bagging and other unusual options my fridge freezer never really did (it is always too full).
I haven't seen an electric bill yet to assess the impact and I know it will be more than a manual defrost freezer, but I'm so delighted with this unit, I'm willing to pay a little extra. The energy guide that came with the freezer estimates $62/yr. That seems low, but we'll see. All in all this was a great purchase and highly recommended.
Update 12/14/09
I've now received three electric bills and am even further pleased that there is very little impact from running this freezer. I'd now guess I'll being paying about $50/yr to run the freezer. Another neat thing is that when a bad storm tripped the reset outlet where the freezer is plugged in and I didn't know it for two days, the temp never rose above 21 degrees in the freezer and everything remained well preserved even with no power. When I went to put something in the freezer and saw the light was off, I knew right away what had happened. Another reason to have the interior light, because when the freezer is between cooling cycles, it's completely silent so the light is what tells you it's 'on'. I have a gauge clipped to the outside of the freezer with a probe that attaches inside and lets me see what the temperature is. It maintains a much more consistent temperature than my fridge freezer does.
Update 6/1/13 Just wanted to let folks know my great little freezer is still working perfectly. Even though I sometimes wish I had even more freezer space, the size keeps me rotating things in and out and stuff doesn't get lost in the depths. I also appreciate even more the fact that it's not very tall so I can easily store things on the top of it and retrieve them even though I'm not very tall myself. Since it's in the garage I'm not bothered by that fact that when the compressor is on it's louder than my regular refrigerator. I'm still really pleased with my purchase.
This freezer does the trick; it freezes. I had to set it almost to the highest setting in order to get the temperature slightly below zero. The factory setting wasn't cold enough. Of course, I had to buy a thermometer in order to find out how cold it was getting inside. It's a little loud, so I am glad it's in our garage. I love the size though. We have a regular size two car garage, and there is plenty of room for it and both our cars. Realize when you order online, you will have to remove the freezer from the wood bolted on the bottom, and lift it off the pallet. You won't get the service you would from buying it from an appliance store.
We bought this based on good reviews. It was fine for 1 1/2 years when it stopped freezing. Not worth fixing for the price paid. We plan to avoid the Frigidaire brand completely now since a new refrigerator we bought recently for over $800 is having issues after only one month! Guess their products have really gone downhill.
I needed a moderate sized freezer with shelves so things didn't get burried in the bottom of the freezer well. This freezer has done a great job after three months and keeps everything rock hard. The shelving works great too and everything is easy to find. Why only four stars?? Although I highly recommend it, you can hear it when the compressor kicks on (which is rare) but it is quiet enough that you can't hear it from the next room. I'm just nit picking, it is a great freezer.
By the way, be st buy dot com
I have it in my garage, it's frost free and works great and was delivered to our door. It's a good family size freezer. I am glad we got it.
REPAIR PART FOR FRIGIDAIRE, ELECTROLUX, KENMORE AND MORE
PART MEETS ALL OEM QUALITY STANDARDS MANUFACTURED BY A THIRD PARTY
I recommend this product to anyone having problems with their refrigerator compartment not cooling as it should. The original defrost timer seemed to have failed on me because there was ice accumulation in the vents running from the freezer compartment to the refrigerator blocking air flow. Replaced the defrost timer and everything has been working properly for well over a month now. On top of that, delivery was prompt and I am very satisfied with this product and the seller.
This is a beautifully sleek designed corner microwave. Solid door and hardware. Simple user friendly keyboard with large blue LED display. For a .5 capacity it can accomodate large dishes. Heats and defrosts perfectly. Highly recommend it!!!
I have been looking for a corner microwave for years. My daughter found this for me. Don't ussully buy appliances on line. It is great. Compact, easy to use and very high quality. I love it!
This is absolutely the BEST microwave I have ever had!!!!!
Someone else here noted that you can't just punch in a time (say 3 min). While that is true (you must hit the 30 increment button) to get the time you want, in reality this doesn't take any longer than punching in 3:00. Clean and concise. An awesome little beauty that does everything I need. Heats up my drinks, melts my chocolate better than any other machine, potatoes turn out great and also does the steam bags to suit me. I really have to wonder how long it takes to figure out the control panels of OTHER microwaves. This is a short and sweet machine and I don't mind a bit paying a little more here at Amazon. The smallest ones at Wally World are $59.00 and aren't worth even a portion of that. Keep up the good work Whirlpool, you really nailed it on this small and mighty appliance.
One other note that seems minor but it turns out to be a great selling point for the less flexible among us. All other microwaves are built so you have to dip your head to get your stuff out or just clean the inside. Some wonderful genius made this machine so the shelf is elevated ....YEP you just look in at normal height and there is your heated stuff and you don't have to stand on your head to clean the interior. IT'S G-R-E-A-T-!!!!!!!
I was looking for a small .5 cu ft microwave to replace two previous microwaves of similar size but different makes. This microwaves has done a great job after one year. Compared to the previous two, it is solid, reliable and quiet. More powerfull too. This has been our favorite small microwave that fits back into a corner of our counter top. Also, unlike the previous two small microwaves the rotating glass plate stays put better when loading and unloading and the unit is heavy enough that when you open and close the door the unit does not slide forwards or backwards. I am buying another one for my mother and thought I would chime in on a good product. A+++
I am changing my feedback on this item.
This little MW started out well, apart from being somewhat underpowered and a bit small inside (won't take many larger "TV dinner" type products). However, after about 10 weeks it suddenly developed a worrisome problem; it wouldn't stop when the timer went off. We didn't burn anything because we were there when it happened, but I don't know what would have happened if we hadn't. A loss of confidence means we have since replaced it with a more standard MW.
The part worked perfectly. Only took minutes to replace. I recommend this part to anyone who needs a direct replacement for their water/icemaker valve.
This part was an exact replacement for the failed valves in my Kenmore side by side refrigerator. Installation was easy 10 minutes max an there were no adjustments needed. It comes with a bunch of extra stuff adapters and fittings which are probably needed for some other models. But I didn't need any of that. Check the part number on your own refrigerator and see if this is the same. If so, your experience will likely be like mine.
This functions as intended; but, the design is different from the original and positions further away from the lines. The lines have to be rerouted outside of the cabinet clip in order to attach to this valve. I used this on model KSSS42DA _ _ unit.
Compact upright freezer with 1-2/7-cubic-foot capacity holds up to 46 pounds of food, with running amps of 1.4A
Full-width coated wire shelf slides out for easy access or removes for storing taller items
Adjustable thermostat for customized temperature control; manual defrost system
Reversible door with recessed handle for convenient placement almost anywhere
Measures approximately 19-3/4 by 19-3/4 by 20-2/7 inches; 1-year limited warranty
I needed a small freezer for storing excess frozen blueberries from a bulk purchase so after researching different makes and models, I finally decided to purchase the Haier mini-freezer from Amazon. Amazon offered free shipping and the price of the unit was $20 cheaper than my local walmart and target. It was very good customer service for Fedex sending two employees to deliver the mini-freezer so it arrived in excellent condition even though the way the mini-freezer was packaged from Haier was the worst I've ever encountered. There was absolutely no foam or packing material to protect the unit and after cutting one plastic strap the card board box fell apart.
After inspecting the unit for damage, I found one small dent near the top-right of the freezer door (See the images that I've posted above). I proceeded to follow the instruction booklet and plugged it in. I filled the mini-ice tray (Included with the unit) with water and left it in the freezer. Two hours later I checked to make sure the unit was still working and noticed the water had already frozen so now I have mini-ice cubes ^_^
I thought it would be helpful to include the mini-freezers interior measurements for usable space: I've measured the freezers interior top half at 15 inches wide with a depth of 12 inches, while below the removable wire shelf the bottom half measures 15 inches wide with a depth of only 7 inches (Usable space is lost due to the units motor).
Pros-
The unit is very quiet.
It looks nice and the handle is built into the top of the door.
The hinge can be moved to the opposite side depending on which way you prefer the door to open.
It has a switch in the back which allows temperature adjustment from 1-7 (I have it set on 4).
It has a removable wire rack inside the freezer.
Cons-
Some of the space in the lower section of the freezer is lost to the units motor.
I'm very happy so far with my purchase and recommend this mini-freezer to anyone that needs a little additional freezer space, but keep in mind there is a high percentage chance it will arrive with a dent >_
If unsure, please ask your seller if it would fit your model
Plastic piece does not have a "bottom out" position so if someone presses too hard on it, it will break. Hard to believe $75 is a good deal on this piece of plastic with 2 led's, but is the best deal I could find.
When our actuator snapped into two pieces last week, I found this to be the most reasonably-priced replacement on the web. BUT, since it still means spending $70, I held off and went to Home Depot and spent 20 minutes comparing different plastic-fusing glues. I went with Henkel 681925 Loctite 0.07-Ounce Super Glue Plastic Bonder, which is also sold here on amazon.com
Following the instructions (applying the primer on both surfaces, waiting for 60 seconds and then applying the glue sparingly on one of the two surfaces you want fused together), I added another thin bead of glue to the joint then carefully held the two pieces together with blue masking tape. I left the tape on for about 24 hours, and it's been five days since and the glued together pieces are staying put. Feels like it never broke. Of course, our house has no kids--just my husband and I so we don't really slam the glass against the lever, which is something kids could easily do.
Note: I left the the actuator on the freezer door which means I did not need to use any tools (it broke where the top of the clear and black lever tapers off suddenly narrows but thickens towards the top).
This was the right part for our fridge (except for color, but we chose price over color match). The average homeowner would have difficulty installing it; instructions would have been helpful.
Part was delivered quickly and worked as anticipated. Install was a half hour job, hardest part as other reviews stated was getting water hose line back in properly. Otherwise a fairly easy do it yourself project.
This part was challenting to replace it on our Frigidaire refrigerator but I think it was worth the savings. My husband and I watched internet video which was very helpful. It took 2 hrs. Due to the design, it was difficult to get into replacement area. We woud do it again.
