GE Part Number WR71X10957 SHELF MODULE FF

We bought a house that came with the appliances but for some odd reason, the fridge was missing all the drawers and some of the door shelves (not all mind you) so weird... Anyway, I got the part numbers off GEs site and ordered them from here. Most were half the price! They came quickly and were the right part!

The picture by "Buy-it-now-store" shows water valve Part#: 4318047 (which is exactly what I uninstalled from my Whirlpool fridge; see my pictures above or search for the video on youtube "Refrigerator Water Valve Repair Refrigerator Repair Help") but they sent me the Whirlpool 2315576 Valve-Inlet for Refrigerator.

Before getting upset I decided first to give it a try and... it worked. So, I didn't complain to the seller; their price was much lower ($18.21) than the Whirlpool's. It turned out to be a win-win situation for everybody.

Apparently Whirplool replaced some time in 2003 the old 4318047 with newer 2315576 because along with the installation instructions for the 4318047 (5/98) there was an insert from the company for the "Quick-Connect Single Water Valve" (6/03) explaining what to do in case I received either valve. I also got a small bag of add ons for the old valve. So, the two valves are interchangable and compatible with many refregirator models.

Still, in order to get a better idea on how to work with the new valve, I found and watched the video on youtube, which made the installation process a breeze [search for "Refrigerator Repair Replacing the Water Inlet Valve (Whirlpool Part# 4389177)"]. Enjoy the new valve :).

This looks to be a good quality replacement part, however the description makes it sound like it will work if you have ice and water in the door "ice maker and water valve" it only has one valve so it did not work for what I needed. It was cheap though so I was only out $10.00. The company I got it from said I could get a refund but it would cost $10.00 in shipping to return it, so I just kept it and put it in my parts bin in my garage, maybe my neighbor will need one someday.

This water valve is exactly as the picture shows. It is a direct replacement for single valve Whirlpool or Kenmore refrigerators, and is identical to the one that I replaced on a Whirlpool refrigerator. If your refrigerator has a water dispenser, then you should get the double water valve (two of these valves combined into a common frame).

I bought this product a long time ago and am just now posting. It was NOT hard to install and works great. By purchasing this product on line and then installing it myself, I saved at least $100

I ordered this part not being sure it was what I actually needed to get my ice maker working again. I thought very strongly that my problem was with the old valve but was not 100% positive. After searching at my local big box hardware stores only to find that they only have these items available through their phone in parts department and at what I thought was a higher price than I wanted to pay, I searched Amazon and found this part. The part I was considering from the big box hardware phone in parts departments were priced at 3+ times as much as this valve here. The price they wanted was more than buying a whole new icemaker with all the parts included. I ordered this part, had it express shipped, received it two days later, installed it and had ice that evening! Installation was easy...I just looked at how to take the old one out and put this one right back in the exact same way. I have been using this part for over a month now and have had no problems at all and plenty of ice!! I highly recommend this part!!

We bought this to take care of the holiday overflow from our smallish counter-depth Side-by-side. At 4.3 CF it is the ideal companion product and fits perfectly in my man-cave. That extra holiday food is now stored safely in a fridge that got cold in just a few hours. 38F inside. Freezer at 18F. Freezer will hold a few packages of frozen food and a couple of quarts of ice cream, and maybe a couple ice cube trays.

Nice feature is a metal rack under the center shelf for 5 wine bottles. Not boldly mentioned, but could be significant to others, is the lockable door, for when it's used in an office environment, or to keep the beer from being pilfered.

It is reasonably quiet, making only a soft whirr when starting. The unit came reasonably well-packaged although a corner in the back is ever so slightly wrinkled from being set down too hard during transport. Not noticed where it sits.

To AMAZON's ( and FED-Ex's ) Credit it arrived at my Arizona home just 26 hours after I ordered it, delivered from the Austin TX warehouse! and for the low-low one-day Prime shippers fee. Cannot be beat.

Recommend this over others because of the depth and overall capacity, AND the white interior that shows contents better and is much easier to keep clean.

I just purchased a refurbished mini-oven on Amazon.. This warranty was linked at the bottom of the ad for the oven. I clicked on this ad and there was no mention of new or refurbished on the ad, so I bought it, received my product and went to register it by serial number and I noticed that my item was listed as "new". I called Squartrade and they told me that the Amazon warranty will not cover refurb products and were rude on the phone. So, in summary even though there was no exclusion on this ad, Squartrade will not honor this warranty. They didn't offer a decent discount on the much higher price warranty from their site. The unfriendly Squartrade rep was not a bonus.

I'm hoping Amazon will update the item description that this warranty will not cover a refurb so others don't waste their time. If I hadn't called, I wouldn't have known.

We are very satisfied with purchase. We did not get from Amazon, I often go here to look at reviews on big items like this. It is very big, plenty of room. Love the middle drawer. The owner's manual said you can use it for: 1. items you use most often, saves energy from opening a small drawer versus the 2 french drawers. 2. for kids, the things they use most often, they can serve themselves. 3. fruits and veggies. The freezer holds more than I expected, like the basket shelf at the top. A review on another site mentioned she had to lay her juices down, but we found the shelves to be quite adjustable, we can fit a pitcher and large juices on the bottom left of the fridge. Also like that a gallon of milk fits is the door. The icemaker is small, but we don't use tons of ice anyway. All the controls are on the outside. We like the feature that premeasures water for your special water bottle, or for cooking (read manual to calibrate before using feature).

This unit is great. It handles what a family of 5 needs. The ice maker is perfect for our family, not sure what the other person had a issue with. It holds up to 10 lbs of ice and keeps up with our busy family. This is a great frig, and would highly recommend this.

You can pick up this fridge for about $1,500 as it often goes on sale.

So far everything appears to be wonderful for us with this unit. As for the ice maker the manual states that you should expect your first batch of ice in 24 hours. Ours dropped in about 6 hours (only a few cubes), but after that a it produced a lot of ice. Water quality and temperature settings can affect ice production, but there are no problems to report here..so don't get scared by other reviews claiming otherwise.

well , did receive item on time but once i made the installation the filter stays loose . I drained water as per instructions but water stil smells funny and we can taste the water not being properly filtered . My NewAir AW-120E quit cooling 18 months after I bought it brand new. I did not buy it from Amazon. Of course, the warranty is only 12 months. It was working fine one day, then stopped cooling the next day, even though all fans and lights looked normal. These units seem to have a reputation for failing after 1-2 years. I guess the filter may be filtering the water of harmful contaminants, but looking at the glass of water there is stuff floating in it. The product is made from natural coconuts fibers, so it might be natural, but I don't like having visible floating material in my water.

I am ordering a standard filter and plan on removing this one when I get it.

Liebherr 15.5 Cu. Ft. Panel Ready Freestanding Counter Depth Bottom Freezer Refrigerator - CS1660

My Liebherr refrigerator broke down often in the last three years electronics, leaks, icemaker, door hinge recall... stay away. Looks great. Wish it worked as well as it looks. Wish Liebherr customer service was more accomodating.

We purchased a Liebherr CS1301 a few years back and had nothing but problems.

The finish, or lack thereof is almost impossible to keep clean. We contacted Liebherr service and were told the fridge only had a partial factory finish and we should use the 2 oz bottle supplied to do the final finish. Talk about insane for a premium priced product.

We have tried no fewer than a dozen different cleaners and nothing works.

The freezer started acting up, the alarm would sound showing temp rising. After awhile I contacted Liebherr. I was told there is an issue with the sensor whereby it freezes. This causes the fridge to bypass the thermostat.

Ok, so where is the customer notification or recall to fix this issue?

I've always purchased German products whenever possible, this brand is a total disappointment.

If I ever wanted my wife to leave me, all I would have to do is buy another Liebherr product.

My only problem with reviews is most folks only take the time to write bad ones to vent. I bought this unit about 1.5 years ago. Overall when people buy, Viking, Wolf or a BMW, MB... they are forgetting that these are premium products pushing the envelope in terms of performance and features. These trend setters often test out what works years ahead of `mass market'. For perfect reliability and average form buy the middle never the top. Just don't forget 5K is still upper middle. Built ins run 12k and up in some cases.

Astatically

I love how this unit goes from the floor to ceiling giving the built in look. Its hard to find a flush counter depth which fits like a glove. This looks like a 10k unit at half the price. Any stainless appliance is hard to keep clean. Working in a kitchen for 8 years we wiped down appliances throughout the night and every night we polish all the equipment. I never understood why the consumer market wanted the commercial look.

When entertaining I am constantly complimented by the appearance. Few counter depths have this much storage or can fit a pizza easily on the shelves. The interior lighting is one of the best but that is just an opinion. My only ding is the freezer light is on the fridge door. Occasionally I leave both open while unloading supplies. As such, the fridge is internally lit the freezer is lit from the underside of the door thus underwhelming.

Functionally

The freezer drawers work well rather than digging to the back to find green beans which have been frozen for 5 years with my older units. The machine is silent. I have a dedicated gourmet kitchen with eating area. I wanted silence when running the dishwasher and when the fridge kicks on. This was HUGE draw for me with this unit. While the dual compressors keep the food at a constant temp I hardly know when it kicks on. The additional fan mode keeps air moving to reduce moister as is a problem with many of the new fridges.

I opted for the internal icemaker. While I sacrifice some storage cubes use filtered water (pretty much standard now) and are good size. I have yet to run out or have any issues with the icemaker.

Mechanically

I am very pleased. The Bosch, and Miele were the two alternatives I had looked at. If you look at the design of the dual compressors the lack of variation keeps food fresher longer. I learned while doing my research that cheaper units tend to vary more in temperature. Some friends have knocked this as a faux performance issue but at 33 you have water at 32 ice. A slight degree variation makes a large difference with respect to bacteria, and the cells in meats and veggies. I have noticed better food storage when compared to my $1700 fridge which is now in the basement kitchenette.

I have not yet had a problem with the alarm yet but I have left the door open and been woken up at night by the beeping. Simply pressing the silence button and closing the door has saved me more than a few loads of groceries. I bought from a reputable local buyer who handles complaints so I have no fears when/if something should go wrong with the unit.

I bought this wine cooler to put under the bar top in my winery tasting room. It has functioned well and is sleek and compact and completely silent.

BUT...perhaps it is my fault but I did not notice before I bought it that the COLDEST setting it goes to, which I now understand is a function of the non-mechanical way it creates cooling, is 54 degrees! While this is adequate for dry white wines, it won't we cold enough for sweeter wines and certainly not cold enough for late harvest, dessert type wines that should be chilled to 45 degrees or so.

ALSO... be aware of two limitations caused by the very compact design:

FIRST, heavier weight (read that, more expensive) bottles with even a slightly larger diameter than standard Bordeaux bottles WILL NOT FIT in the wire racks. There is a reason why it will fit eighteen bottles in such a small space: the tolerances are VERY TIGHT and sized for grocery-store standard cabs, etc.

SECOND, opened bottles with the cork reinserted part way or with a vacuum cork WILL NOT FIT in the cooler because the depth of the cooler brings the glass door right up to the foil of the unopened bottles.

As I said, it's a nice cooler....BUT

I just recieved the wine cooler. I have to say its pretty amazing. The build is top notch. Very comparable to my friends Vinotemp but hundreds $$$ less.

The Review:

The package arrived with good protection as seen in the photos below.

The used double boxes with a layer of foam in between the boxes. Then another round of padding is added to the cooler edges. The cooler was delivered in perfect condition.

After un-boxing, I did a quick check around the cooler to check out the quality. It is very nice. The brushed stainless matches my Samsung refrigerator and seems of good quality. The door hinges are solid and have no play. The window is double pane and the seal wraps around the frame with continuity which should help with the efficiency.

Looking inside of the cooler. There are chrome racks that slide in and out easily. The door handle and screws are inside. The door handle is the only part of the unit that needs assembly. It is very easy, you just lift part of the rubber seal to expose the screw holes, put the screws through, and screw down the handle via the 2 stainless steel screws.

Its a clean and easy to use setup. There is and "up" and "down" temperature control buttons and one light button, which controls the LED internal light.

Once plugged in, the thermostatic showed 74 degrees. I started my chronograph to clock the amount of time it took to drop down to 54 degrees (the lowest temperature setting).

The internal LED lighting is really cool looking. The blue light reflects off the chrome racks to appear like there are hundreds of little blue sparkly lights. The photo doesn't do justice. It is a nice look at night and should impress the friends if they come over for a drink.

The cooler took approximately 20 minutes to drop the internal temperature from 74 degrees down to 54 degrees. I think that's pretty fast for a coolant-less thermoelectric cooler. I also go my analog thermometer to gauge the accuracy of the built-in digital thermostat, its dead on accurate. One thing to note is the that since its not a wine "refrigerator" you can only get down to 54 degrees, which is perfect for both red and white wines. However, you cannot effectively store other beverages like beer and soda because they need much lower temps unless you like semi-warm beers. On the other hand, you save money on the unit (thermoelectrics are much cheaper than refrigerators) and you save money on power consumption.

The noise...5 stars! Not much noise at all. There is a slight humming. Maybe slightly louder than the electrical humming of an alarm clock.

The capacity is 18 regular sized bottles. It will hold much less if you have over-sized bottles or champagne bottles to store inside. After playing around with the wine bottle configuration. I noticed that the top shelf is the only shelf that can fit over-sized (extra girth) bottles. You can fit 3 girthy bottles on the top shelf. The rest of the shelves only fit normal sized bottles. * also notice in the photo below, my cooler actually got down to 53 degrees.

I shopped high and low for the right wine refrigerator, reading all reviews available and even consulting with friends who own one. I settled on the New Air model because it seemed to me it fulfilled all my requirements: good quality, right size, good looking and great value.

I'm very impressed with this item. It arrived in one day, and came well packaged no chances for dents or scratches. The handle was easy to install and does not compromise the door seal. The unit is light enough that one person can handle it.

I followed the instructions and let it rest two hours before plugging it in. It cooled down to my desired temperature (62') in less than an hour. It's pretty quiet but the fans are on all the time so there is a slight buzz coming from it, but nothing annoying though.

I like the fact that the thermostat can be easily accessed and that the light can be turned on and off at will as the controls for both are placed on the front of the unit. So far, I'm very happy with my purchase.

This is a beautiful product. Well constructed. Looks great. But you can hear the thing running from down the hall. It made 10 times more noise then my kitchen fridge does that is 5 times the size.

I am really disappointed with how LOUD the refrigerator operates. The humming is by no means quiet. I can hear this cooler humming from two rooms away. Worse, every time the fan runs it picks it up a notch in terms of noise. It is easily 10 to 20 times louder than my refrigerator. It is really too bad, because I really enjoy the aesthetic of the cooler and it seems to hold temperature and cool bottles well. Maybe if you live in an urban area with a lot of background noise you might not notice the sound maybe. There is nothing subtle about the hum.
