This product is a thin like film, I tried to apply this film to a very smooth and

clean dishwasher door, I tried it the way the instruction said with a mist of water before applying. I evenly removed the backing paper and smooth the film down with the other hand. trying to remove the air bubbles as I continue the go across the door. needless to say when I finished the door had many air bubbles underneath. I work on it for a couple hours with a prick pin and s squeegee, still could not remove all the air behind the film. I then tried it on a smooth clean oven door, without the water this time, the results were the same. It looked terrible.

I then preceeded with removing the film and trashing the product.

So I've had this on my dishwasher for about 6 months or so.. It is holding up great! The color however is not like my other real stainless steel appliances. It seems really dull..It lookd great on the roll but once I put it on it wasn't near as shiney. But if you can't afford new and you want stainless steel. I would say buy it!

I bought mine about 6-7 months ago, and it worked great initially. It would cool down to 39 degrees in a few hours. I used it in my office at work. When the temperature would rise, I would hear the fan come on and after a while it would reach the set temperature with no problems.

Then, after about 4 months, I noticed the temperature slowly climbing into the 50's, and it has been there ever since. I no longer hear the fan come on as strongly as before. I have tried cycling the power, resetting the temp at 39F but it just won't get any colder than about 50-52F.

I called the manufacturer, and the only replacement part that can be ordered is a new power supply. To me, something is wrong with the fan. I guess it could be the power supply, but all of the other functions on the unit seem fine (the internal light, the display). And it heats to 125F with no problems either.

I'm going with a Coleman Powerchill 40. Much better name brand.

I purchased this about 6 months ago and this fridge worked great. The size was large enough for many cans of soda. It has a light and the built in thermostat was great. Up until yesterday everything worked great, unfortunately the thermostat starting going crazy and the fridge constantly beeps now and it does not cool or heat anymore because of it. I would say that when it worked it was great but breaking down in such a short time is definite negative.

I bought this mini fridge because the style was cool and compact. Unfortunately, in less than a year it stopped cooling. I paid $35.00 to ship it back and a replacement was sent to me. That one lasted two months. I have had a problem with water pooling on the bottom and now the vent where the cold air comes out is covered in ice. There is no warranty, no list of repair places and no way to contact the company who makes it. Don't wast your money.

This fridge is much nicer that other TE coolers. The temp is set and monitored digitally. There is a internal light. It runs quiter than some others and has a overall better design. A++

Swift Green Filters SGF-M9-2 Refrigerator Water Filter, 2-Pack

I have a Maytag fridge and Swift claims that these filters are compatible with the factory version. I followed all instructions to the letter, but when after installing the filters, the following happened:

1) There was a horrendous noise that came from the fridge air line and no water came out

2) I was told by Swift that I had installed them incorrectly & needed to make an additional twist to the right, this was not true, they were installed correctly & turned all the way already.

3) After I removed the filters to test my factory ones again, there was extreme leakage from the nozzles in the fridge. Meaning, when I took the Swift filters out, the nozzles should automatically seal while you change filters, but this did not happen, they were stuckopen. The Swift filters had caused the nozzle to stick/malfunction because of incorrect fit.

4) After reinstalling my factory filters and finally getting the leakage to stop, my dispenser does not work correctly anymore. The water comes out in a trickle, so slowly as to be unuseable, either with the Swift filters or the old ones. The only conclusion to be drawn is that the Swift filter has permanently damaged the nozzles.

5) Swift has not offered anything since I informed them of this fact, replacement, nozzle repair, nothing.

I strongly advise against purchasing these filters based on my experience.

GE SmartWater Filter Cartridge (MWF, GWF), 2-Pack

These GE filters are heavy duty and well made and do the job very well. They actually last longer than the 6 months replacment date, so you can get by with longer as I have used them a year before replacing. The only downside of course is the price.

What can I say? I have a GE refrigerator so these are the ones I had to buy. On the plus side, they are filtering the water nicely. We have a water softener but this has helped the tea kettle we keep filling on wood stove from accumulating too much sediment.

I purchased it through another website and got a slightly better deal , but the price on Amazon is pretty close. I bought the stainless steel dual tap version of this, which is essentially the same but I like the look better than black. I have to qualify by saying I've only had it for about a 30 days so I can't comment on long term reliability. As for looks, I love the stainless look which is worth the extra $40 over black. Stainless really makes it look classy. The fittings, hoses and connections were all flawless. It came with all the o-rings, most of which were already attached. The fridge setting I have is on the second lowest cold setting and it gets the beer in my keg really cold. It makes a loud clicking and/or popping noise from time to time like my other small fridge but otherwise runs quiet (this noise is the defrosting as I understand it). The fridge is probably pretty standard to other kegerators, but looks nice and the fittings should last a long time. I can fit two 1/6 kegs and a 5lb CO2 tank inside the fridge, with not much room to spare.

Set up directions are very bad but set up is simple. Love that it came with a 7.5 pound co2 tank... The description had said 5 pound tank so I do not know how I ended up with that bonus. Looks nice works well no problems with to much head which is a common problem. For the money very good deal. Only downside is it is loud.... So if is going in a panty or garage it is perfect.

Liebherr 15.5 Cu. Ft. Panel Ready Freestanding Counter Depth Bottom Freezer Refrigerator - CS1660

My Liebherr refrigerator broke down often in the last three years electronics, leaks, icemaker, door hinge recall... stay away. Looks great. Wish it worked as well as it looks. Wish Liebherr customer service was more accomodating.

We purchased a Liebherr CS1301 a few years back and had nothing but problems.

The finish, or lack thereof is almost impossible to keep clean. We contacted Liebherr service and were told the fridge only had a partial factory finish and we should use the 2 oz bottle supplied to do the final finish. Talk about insane for a premium priced product.

We have tried no fewer than a dozen different cleaners and nothing works.

The freezer started acting up, the alarm would sound showing temp rising. After awhile I contacted Liebherr. I was told there is an issue with the sensor whereby it freezes. This causes the fridge to bypass the thermostat.

Ok, so where is the customer notification or recall to fix this issue?

I've always purchased German products whenever possible, this brand is a total disappointment.

If I ever wanted my wife to leave me, all I would have to do is buy another Liebherr product.

My only problem with reviews is most folks only take the time to write bad ones to vent. I bought this unit about 1.5 years ago. Overall when people buy, Viking, Wolf or a BMW, MB... they are forgetting that these are premium products pushing the envelope in terms of performance and features. These trend setters often test out what works years ahead of `mass market'. For perfect reliability and average form buy the middle never the top. Just don't forget 5K is still upper middle. Built ins run 12k and up in some cases.

Astatically

I love how this unit goes from the floor to ceiling giving the built in look. Its hard to find a flush counter depth which fits like a glove. This looks like a 10k unit at half the price. Any stainless appliance is hard to keep clean. Working in a kitchen for 8 years we wiped down appliances throughout the night and every night we polish all the equipment. I never understood why the consumer market wanted the commercial look.

When entertaining I am constantly complimented by the appearance. Few counter depths have this much storage or can fit a pizza easily on the shelves. The interior lighting is one of the best but that is just an opinion. My only ding is the freezer light is on the fridge door. Occasionally I leave both open while unloading supplies. As such, the fridge is internally lit the freezer is lit from the underside of the door thus underwhelming.

Functionally

The freezer drawers work well rather than digging to the back to find green beans which have been frozen for 5 years with my older units. The machine is silent. I have a dedicated gourmet kitchen with eating area. I wanted silence when running the dishwasher and when the fridge kicks on. This was HUGE draw for me with this unit. While the dual compressors keep the food at a constant temp I hardly know when it kicks on. The additional fan mode keeps air moving to reduce moister as is a problem with many of the new fridges.

I opted for the internal icemaker. While I sacrifice some storage cubes use filtered water (pretty much standard now) and are good size. I have yet to run out or have any issues with the icemaker.

Mechanically

I am very pleased. The Bosch, and Miele were the two alternatives I had looked at. If you look at the design of the dual compressors the lack of variation keeps food fresher longer. I learned while doing my research that cheaper units tend to vary more in temperature. Some friends have knocked this as a faux performance issue but at 33 you have water at 32 ice. A slight degree variation makes a large difference with respect to bacteria, and the cells in meats and veggies. I have noticed better food storage when compared to my $1700 fridge which is now in the basement kitchenette.

I have not yet had a problem with the alarm yet but I have left the door open and been woken up at night by the beeping. Simply pressing the silence button and closing the door has saved me more than a few loads of groceries. I bought from a reputable local buyer who handles complaints so I have no fears when/if something should go wrong with the unit.
