Works fine as a replacement for older model ice maker with wire bin control. I was concerned that it might not work correctly as it is an updated model which uses a lever control and requires an adapter for the electrical connection. The adapter works but could be better designed as it extends the cable so it can be difficult to get the ice maker mounted flush. Overall I am pleased and the ice maker has worked perfectly since installed. It is a good substitute for the order model which is no longer available.

Googled this ice maker model and found a You Tube video on how to replace and it made the process very easy.

The icemaker makes ice and dumps fine but after about the first two times the basket filled I discovered that the shut off lever does not always work properly when the bin is full. This model requires ice to push the lever back horizontally instead of shutting off when ice builds up on top of the lever. I have to manually move a switch to off position before it will quit making ice. I do not recommend this unit for my Kenmore fridge/freezer.

Do as I did -water your plants. Will buy again. The only difference that I could notice was that the DA29-00003F has a white cap instead of a red cap.

Most likely, if you're considering this product at all, it's because you have a Samsung refrigerator and the filter status indicator light has turned red after a few month's use. In which case, you may only be looking to verify that this is, in fact, the same filter you can find in your local home improvement store.

I was desperate for a fresh filter so I went ahead and purchased this more expensive item because it appeared to be a genuine Samsung product. The directions said to insert it on the side with no label, there were labels on both sides. Hmmm? I proceeded to try both sides, it would not fit either way. The last generic filter we had in there that worked had to have the notches altered by one of my handy sons, which was the only way it was going in there. I had thought the genuine product would fit right in, but frustratingly so, it did not. The only way it would fit is if I performed a replica of the surgery on the filter as had been previously done. So, go ahead and purchase this one if you have a utility knife, and are able to replicate the notches from the old filter. I do not know why it would not fit, unless it was defective, that possibility comes to mind. Good luck if you purchase this item.

The filter sells at nearly half of the price that you can get it at a store. Shipping was very fast. Will continue to buy these filters through Amazaon.

I put this in a $20K+ outdoor kitchen I built for a customer. I liked it because it had actual stainless steel on the door versus many that have a sticker that tries to look like stainless.

The compact refrigerator stopped working five months after purchasing it. Supposedly, there is a one-year warranty, however SPT will not accept Amazon's invoice as proof of purchase. In other words, SPT will not honor their warranty, or they purposely are making it very hard for me to get this item replaced or repaired. I am very dissatisfied with SPT's warranty. I will never buy another product made by SPT.

As of the time of this review I've had this fridge for six months now and it's worked very well at keeping all the food inside cool.

I had a Sanyo mini-fridge for about six years which I managed to break (completely my fault) and needed a replacement. What led me back to SPT/Sunpentown was a mini-freezer of theirs I bought back in 2010 which ended up being a fantastic buy. As this fridge was also roughly the same dimensions and same exterior design as the freezer I ended up stacking them and they look somewhat like one unit.

But back to the fridge, it works well, looks nice on the exterior, but whoever designed the interior didn't really know what they were doing.

1) I really don't like the shelving units being mesh, and would've preferred solid panes of plastic that slid in and out.

2) The can holder on the side door is completely useless. If you try to drop cans in there they just fly out the bottom, or worse, get stuck because it has this awkward wave design to it.

3) The lower level of the side door has a compartment to store bottles, but it can't even handle more than one two liter bottle. There just isn't enough space (but my old Sanyo, which was less cubic feet could store two, 2-liter bottles side by side on its side door lower compartment).

4) The side door lower compartment is held in with a flimsy piece of metal that clips into two holes on the side, such that if you leave anything heavy in there and open the door to quickly, it'll tip over and sometimes the metal clip will pop out.

So yeah, the fridge works and I bought it primarily because my SPT/Sunpentown freezer has served me very well over the years, but the interior layout, especially the door, is a disaster.

I hate to be negative but I must be honest!! We got this out of the box and it never worked! We had to return it to Amazon and on a positive note Amazon was FANTASTIC in handling the return so NO complaints about Amazon's customer service.

The fridge on the other hand, STAY FAR FAR AWAY!!!!

Whirlpool GX2FHDXVY Gold 22 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel French Door Refrigerator - Energy Star

This refrigerator is very quiet and very energy efficient. The stainless steel front looks very modern and elegant with simple handles. We previously had a Electrolux refrigerator that was twice as loud as this one...granted it was also almost 10 years old. The Whirlpool barely makes a whisper, even when the motor kicks on (which is infrequent). The only drawback on this fridge is that there are a few drawers and shelves that do not provide the best access or storage capacity. It is more of a minor inconvenience, and I think most fridges have this to some extent somewhere. I just think this fridge has the issue in a few more places than most, so I have to take away a star. Thankfully, there is a lot of storage space so you can usually get by if you carefully manage where you put stuff...but I'd rather not have to do that. Not a dealbreaker though...the lack of noise and efficiency more than make up for it with me.

This refrigerator is awful. I bought mine less than two years ago. After about a year, we noticed that it was leaking water from the bottom of the freezer out onto our new wood floors. Basically, had to remove ice from the pan inside the bottom of the freezer once every 3-4 days, otherwise water was all over our floors. I don't know it was the defrost water or icemaker. In any case, decided to live with it instead of calling whlpool (past warranty by a few weeks) or a repairman. Bad decision, a few days ago the water had backed in the freezer and the refrig was not cooling. ohhh, also the freezer light switch or bulb broke after a year. I've seen other reviews that say the same thing about similar style whirpool refrigerators.

Please, please for all that is good and right in this country....do not buy this product. Vote your dollars to another brand or product. Whirlpool must mnot be allowed to make a profit on this piece of s-h-i.... Thank you, good night!

After only 2 1/2 years of use, the control panel died and had to be replaced, at a cost of $375 (including time and labor). The effect was that the condensor never shut off, the freezer iced up and blocked the flow of cold air to the refrigerator. The vegetable and fruit draws can only be pulled a few inches open before they fall out. There is a large, completely empty space in the left-hand draw that could have been put to better use. See the many negative reviews for the similar GX5SHDXV model.

Stay away from this brand. The first 2 I received did not work, The third one did but things are starting to break. Customer Service is a night mare. I have been trying to get a part under warranty for over a month now and keep on getting the run around. Oh and did I mention this dishwasher is under a year old. My advice is stay away from this brand. My next dishwasher will be a Sears Kenmore as I had in the past. They run for a good 10 years and never had any major problems with them. This is just my experience with this brand and I will never buy this product again.

Green Filter for Kenmore 9915 NSF Certified Refrigerator Water Filter, Certif...

I guess the filter may be filtering the water of harmful contaminants, but looking at the glass of water there is stuff floating in it. The product is made from natural coconuts fibers, so it might be natural, but I don't like having visible floating material in my water.

I am ordering a standard filter and plan on removing this one when I get it.
