Allavino MWR-541-BR 51 Bottle Wine Cellar Refrigerator - Black Door

Allavino MWR-541-BR 51 Bottle Wine Cellar Refrigerator - Black Door
  • Black cabinet with black door frame and curved handle
  • Suitable for built-in or freestanding applications
  • Hold up to 51 standard 750mL bottles
  • Dimensions: 34-5/8"H x 23-3/4"W x 26-5/8"D including handle
  • Warranty: 1 year parts and labor

I've had this product installed for about 2 months, and thus far it has fully met my expectations. It's unrealistic to expect to house 51 bottles due to the oversize width of some bottles. However, I had expected this based on reviews I read prior to my purchase. Realistically, plan on 46 bottles and be pleasantly surprised if you can get more in.

Avanti : 248YB Refrigerator

Avanti : 248YB Refrigerator
  • Avanti 248YB 2.5CF Compact Refrigerator (Black)
  • AVANTI

Two years ago, I bought four refrigerators by AVANTI and within a year, one was already not functioning anymore.

Three months ago, a second one gave up.

The first time, they changed the unit because it was under warranty.

The second time they refused to change it because they said that it was not under warranty anymore.

Now I know why the warranty is only 1 year...because there product is not reliable and I advise any reader to go with another brand if you don't want to be in the same situation.

Two fridges down out of 4...do the maths ;-)

Maytag MBF2258XEB 21.9 Cu. Ft. Black Bottom Freezer Refrigerator - Energy Star

Maytag MBF2258XEB 21.9 Cu. Ft. Black Bottom Freezer Refrigerator - Energy Star
  • 5 Adjustable Spill-Catcher Glass Shelves
  • Ice Maker
  • Glide-Out Freezer Drawer
  • Energy Star Qualified
  • Electronic Temperature Controls

Did a lot of research on refrigerators before purchasing this item. Settled on a maytag because I heard bad things about the samsungs, and I figured Maytag has been making friges for a lot longer. From day 1, I have had problems. As soon as it arrived and I plugged it in, it started icing up the fridge part, even on the factory middle of the road settings. I called Maytag and they suggested I turn it down, so I did, then the freezer wasn't cold enough, so I turned it back up, and somehow that fixed the ice problem. Whatever. Then, 2.5 months into ownership, it quit cooling altogether, ruining all my food, and causing frozen dough to rise and make a mess in my freezer. Called Maytag and they sent out a serviceman, conveniently between the hours of 8 and 5. Turned out to be a relay, which of course they had to order and told me they would be out between the same convenient hours of 8 to 5 just to install it. If I did it myself, I was told it would void the warranty. It seems like nothing these days is quality, and everything is nothing more than imported foreign crap. Oh and another thing, whatever water pump this fridge uses to make ice has got to be the loudest one they could find. Its absurd that they think this is acceptable. Won't be buying another Maytag, Whirlpool, Amana, or whatever other junk they slap their various brands on.

KitchenAid 24 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel Side-by-Side Refrigerator - KSC24C8EYY

KitchenAid 24 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel Side-by-Side Refrigerator - KSC24C8EYYI recently moved and the existing appliances were from the 80s and even though they still worked, the crazy colors and usage costs weren't working for me. I fell in love with this refrigerator at a local retail store and months later, I still love it. This side-by-side refrigerator not only looks great, it performs well too!

I prefer the side-by-side option over the trendier french doors and this refrigerator has plenty of style and function to make it a great option. The water feature has a digital panel that controls: mode of ice, temperature of water dispensed, light (full, dim or none), lock, options and measured fill (provides amount dispensed in ounces). This panel provides plenty of customization and I love being able to tinker with these settings.

The refrigerator interior is roomy and has four shelves on top with two being adjustable and three bins on the bottom with the lowest having temperature control and the one above it humidity. The door has five container shelves that are adjustable except for the top one with its own lid. The water filter takes up a small space on the top interior shelf (measuring 6' x 2.5") and replacements are $30-40.

The freezer interior is less roomy with the ice maker and large water dispensing area. There are four adjustable shelves on top and two bins on bottom. The freezer door has two adjustable shelves. Even though larger water dispenser takes room away from the freezer, I prefer the option to use larger glasses and beverage containers. I use to use regular glasses to fill larger containers and this one allows me to use the larger container directly.

I live in NYS and it rates this refrigerator on the higher end of the energy efficiency scale and costing around $59 per year to operate. Please note that although this refrigerator appears stainless steel, only the front is the side panels are regular panels in silvery grey.

I based my last refrigerator purchase on looks and features with bad results (features did not work as promised and it was not efficient) and swore I would do a better job next time. This time I did good, no, great! This Kitchenaid side-by-side refrigerator looks great, performs well, has loads of features that are both useful and consistently work, has a roomy interior with adjustable shelves and is very energy efficient. I am thrilled with this purchase and highly recommend this refrigerator. I think it's worth every cent.

We purchased this beautiful counter-depth refrigerator but it came from the factory with a dented front door that was also misaligned and the overall refrigerator had some plastic damage. Eventually, the ice maker just stop making ice. We complained and after another week we got another new KitchenAid that looked perfect. But, alas, the thrill of replacement was to be short-lived. Within 24 hours we realized that the ice maker was not working. We called the factory and they sent out a local repair service the next day (good service!)who diagnosed the problem as a defective dual valve (the one for the filter water) worked. Checking for spare parts at Whirlpool, we found that the valve had to be back-ordered. This is surprising since the valve is used on a lot of Whirlpool refrigerators. In the meantime, a few chunks of ice would form but the flow, as the repair man discovered, was restricted and there were few cubes formed. Almost immediately, a second problem occurred when we started to use the filtered water dispenser: When you place a container under the outlet, water goes into the container, but water from somewhere else leaks into the refrigerator door and down the outside of the door, leaving a puddle to clean up from my damaged hardwood floor. So, again, after much complaining about a "lemon" refrigerator, my dealer has reluctantly agreed to pick-up my refrigerator and give me back my money. A sad series of events. My advice is just don't buy it!

We had this refrigerator for 6 months and Kitchenaid had to replace it with a new unit, but the same model. Problems small ice storage, water comes out of the dispenser warm, so you have to dump the first 8 oz and then it comes out cold, as the water hose is not insulated well inside the door ( this is just bad design, and I am afraid most of them are like that). The gasket around the door sucks one door in with more power than the other, so the doors never align, no matter what and how many times our repair team tried. They even replaced the door completely still all the same problems. The inside wall between the fridge and freezer constantly gets condensation on it all over the place and water just runs down the wall. It is simply a bad design, but the problem as they say is they make all counterdepth models like that these days, and they all suck... so go figure. After 6 month of attempted repairs, we got that replacement fridge. The new refrigerator we got was having all the same problems so KitchenAid gave us a refund. We just got a Bosch instead (2 months ago). We like is much more. It has a couple of things that are just not very smart design, but it is not giving us performance problems as Kitchenaid did. The ice dispenser capacity is much higher, no problems with water, the produce drawer is much bigger than Kitchenaid and they extend fully. It is just a better fridge. Honestly, I do not know what is going on with Kitchenaid ( or Whirlpool), but we have bought a wine refrigerator from them that has all kinds of design flaws, and their refrigerator is just a huge disappointment. We have their pro series cooktop and a range hood and we like both a lot ( although there was a flaw in design of cooktop that an experienced tech managed to solve creatively). I just have no confidence in Kitchenaid any more.

I think we were one of the first to get this refrigerator. It has been great. Like everything about it but because I got one of the first ones I am pretty sure they fixed some of the issues I have with mine in later models. The dispenser electronics are glitchy, when choosing a fill level, Example when using "liters" it will stop when I get up to around 150 so I have to let go of the touch pad, and try it again to get it up to 185 (that is the size of the pitcher I fill with water for making coffee every day). Also the accuracy fluctuates greatly when using "cups" as a unit of measure. The main reason I logged in today was looking to see if ice maker issues are prevalent. Mine stopped working after replacing the water filter. Water dispenser works fine, but ice maker only makes a few cubes then stops. (I cleaned the ice bucket with warm water to see if anything was causing a switch or sensor to fail. No luck. (ice bucket design is my favorite part of the fridge. It's design just works. :-) ) Next I put it on Max Ice setting several days ago, no change. Max cold, same thing. I now have everything normalized and hear a regular clicking so waiting to see if it works or not. If not, calling the store we bought it from as they are known for their repair service. Just a little worried they have an "02" version of this frig out so soon after I bought my "01".

This KitchenAid 23.9 cf counter depth refrigerator is beautiful, inside and out. Very well constructed and it runs ultra-quietly. The fit and finish are superb. The doors and drawers line up perfectly. And the refrigerator is exceptionally sturdy in appearance and action. It just feels solid when you open and close the doors. This unit is loaded with features including water and air filtration, produce protection, measured fill, etc. etc. The interior LED lights are well placed, stunning and bright.

Our fruits and veggies last longer with the crisper's built in produce protection and we love the measured fill feature which is perfectly accurate and use this every day.

We would highly recommend this refrigerator to our family and friends.

Viking Professional VCFF136DSS 36 19.8 cu. ft. Counter-Depth French Door Refrigerator - Stainless S

Viking Professional VCFF136DSS 36 19.8 cu. ft. Counter-Depth French Door Refrigerator - Stainless SteelI bought this appliance for its great looks and perceived reputation. I came home from vacation to discover that the fridge froze bottles on the right side, one of which exploded! Then the water line is just drip-dripping. Not a great start! The shelves are flimsy and poorly designed and you have to open BOTH side doors to open the produce drawer. A major design flaw.

Its very quiet, and sleek, and so far everything is at least WORKING....with the exception of the freezing issue and the water line.

WOuld I buy this product again? NOPE! NEVER!

Whirlpool 4378411RB In-Line Refrigerator Ice and Water Filter

Whirlpool 4378411RB In-Line Refrigerator Ice and Water FilterHaving moved recently, we were not happy to note the odd taste of the city water in our area. As our Kenmore refrigerator is the type that dispenses ice and water, we felt that installing an inline filter was a good idea. This filter does a great job of eliminating the strong chlorinated flavor that was in our water. In fact, the difference is so obvious, even our kids commented.

My husband knows his way around a tool box so the installation of this filter was fairly routine for him. However, those who are intimidated by the idea of making burr free cuts in a water line may want to look at a different filtering solution. The filter is fairly small and easily tucks away out of sight behind the appliance without forcing the unit further out into the room.

If you happen to click on additional information you will find it says "fits any standard 1/4-inch water line"...not quite so. If you are replacing an existing filter which has the standard 1/4" NPT fittings then this filter will NOT work. Unfortunately Amazon doesn't have pictures of the end of the filter which would greatly help in preventing ordering this filter incorrectly. So now I'm stuck with paying $6 to return it. I think it's time to go to HD or Lowes where I can see it before I buy it.

We had trouble with our ice having a bit of a nasty plastic/rubber smell and taste. I figured I'd give a filter a try and see if it would work at reducing and/or eliminating it.

I ordered the Whirlpool filter and after a quick and easy installation (as well as running water through it for a couple of minutes to clear up the charcoal particles) I was in business. The smell and taste is completely gone! My ice has no weird smell or taste. Can't recommend this filter enough.

1 1/2 Inch Spin-Down Sand Separator Replacement Filter Screen FS1-1/2-RE by Rusco

1 1/2 Inch Spin-Down Sand Separator Replacement Filter Screen FS1-1/2-RE by RuscoIt works very well. I'm using the Rusco FS1-1/2-250 for heavy sand filtration. I probably need/should clean it every month, but usually clean it every 2 months. It's a good idea to replace with a new filter every year, depending on use (ours is a family of 4).

Works great as it is, but these filters are available in different meshes from coarse (60) to very fine (250) on the open market. It would be helpful if the vendors specified what they are shipping or better yet, had a drop-down tab to choose which mesh you prefer.

4392949 Universal In-Line Water Filter with Fittings

4392949 Universal In-Line Water Filter with Fittings
  • Fits all refrigerator brands with filter access in the back of the refrigerator
  • The filter can also be used on Kenmore/Sears, Kitchen Aid, Roper, and others
  • Retains Beneficial flouride
  • Removes unwanted tastes and odors
  • Replace filter every six months

This filter is a piece of junk. It didn't last even 3 months, but product description said it would last 6 months. Water was tasting bad at 3 months. In addition it was not easy to install. When I tried to remove it at 3 months, I couldn't get it off the water line. I ended up severly crimping and bending the water line struggling to remove the filter. The filter is a very poor design and was poor quality compared to previous filter I have purchased. Save yourself a lot of trouble and just don't purchase it.

Danby DCR88WDD Energy Star 3.2 Cu. Ft. Designer Counter-High Compact Refrigerator - White

Danby DCR88WDD Energy Star 3.2 Cu. Ft. Designer Counter-High Compact Refrigerator - White

  • Manual push button defrost
  • 1 full shelf and 1 half shelf for maximum storage versatility tall bottle storage and CanStor beverage dispensing system
  • Smooth-back design for flush fit against walls

Bought this as a replacement for a Frigidaire that's thermostat wouldn't work (and Frigidaire wouldn't do anything about it even tho it was a very common problem). Really like this Danby much better. Able to put quart of milk IN refrig instead of just in the door like old one. Very happy with this product!

A perfect addition to our tack room. Plenty of internal storage and handy can dispensers. The dispenser allows you to select any can, I have a different brand mini fridge in my workshop which requires you select the bottom can in a stack of eight, this dispenser allows you to select your drink, any drink. A full width freezer compartment is not typical, and was a welcome find on this fridge.

Transport of mini fridges is always going to be difficult, because they do not have substantial packaging. I ordered this one using prime next day to minimize the time in transit. It had minor dings which is fine for a tack room. You may consider buying one locally if you want this to arrive blemish free. The packing of this and all other mini fridges is not designed for carrier transpiration. You will have some damage, even if that damage is a small ding on the back.

It keeps the contents nice and cold, even when set on the middle area of the thermostat.

The energy star rating is a plus.

I would buy again.

Very good fridge. It has plenty of space for the typical dorm room and the drink rack in the door is nice. Freezer section makes ice fine but won't keep ice cream frozen. I have it located under my bed in college and noise is not a problem, it has never woken me up despite being 3 feet from my head.

The door did come with a slight dent in the door but this has not affected functionality at all, I'm not sure whether Amazon or the shipping company was responsible for this but it isn't a big deal.

The refrigerator arrived in quite cheap packaging. When I opened it, I found many large dents on all sides of it. It seemed to be alright for the price, except I didn't like the door arrangement. Too many places for cans and not enough for anything else. I can't say anything about how it worked, as I never turned it on. Amazon was great about returning it. They picked it up and credited my credit card right away. Great company, but they should check the shipping boxes to make sure they are strong enough.
