Works as advertised. You do have to cut some water lines (at least on my fridge) because the connection type changed, but once you commit it turns out to be no big deal.

picture is deceiving. It shows not only the two (2) solenoids but also the water inlet piece on the end of mount. Does not come with the water supply connection. You must buy that seperately (Amazon did not have it so I had to find from other appliance webstore).

Purchased one of these wine refrigerators on October 1st on 2012. It was shipped to us and we set it up, turned it on and it seemed to work fine. We went on vacation end of December and came home to find that zone 1 which was set to 56 degrees had gone up to 70 degrees and zone 2 which was set to 64 degrees was now at 68 degrees. Neither zone would go to the set level. Went on line to Amazon and their return policy was one month. THE MANUFACTURER WON'T HONOR the warranty when sold by a third party, so basically we could have flushed the $190.00 that we paid for this product down the toilet and been just as well off as we are today. AS THE HEADLINE SAYS.... DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT!!! As a matter of fact, I will in the future boycott all products from Wine Enthusiast!!!

This thing is bigger than you might think--being just a 12 bottle unit. It is also heavy, so moving it around isn't easy. It is well packed but that makes the box bulky--hard to handle by yourself. My unit started working fine, then went through a week of throwing display fits--lighting up all elements. Had to guess at temperature settings. It also would periodically BEEP for no good reason, sometimes sounding like the roadrunner. However, after a week or so of that, it has returned to normal operation. Having discarded the carton and considering the hassle, I would not have sent it back regardless (and it has always cooled). Oh--it is also not quite as 'silent' as described--at least not if you are sitting anywhere near. I ended up moving it away from my living areas.

I bought this because it was exactly the size I wanted and it had a dual zone temp control. However, if I put more than two bottles in one side, it won't cool lower than 56 degrees on that side, no matter how long I leave it closed. I am going to return it.

I bought this at the end of last summer because it fit perfectly on a counter space below another shelf in my kitchen, and the price was great. Looks elegant and runs pretty quietly. Sometimes the temperature dial stops responding, but I've found unplugging and resetting the unit can get that back. However, after about 7 months the right side stopped cooling, so I now only have a 6 bottle cooler :(

I'd suggest spending more for a better quality unit (I wish I had.)

This filter works but it is not as big around as the actual Samsung filter. This results in it not fitting into the filter space well and rattling inside the space when water flows through it. The noise is extremely loud and obnoxious. It happens every time water is dispensed as well as when the ice maker is refilling. Next time I will pay the extra money for the Samsung filter that fits correctly.

In the past I have always purchased the brand name Samsung water filters. 2 years ago I moved to Tucson after living in Denver for the past 20 years. The water in Denver is delicious right out of the faucet. Here in Tucson, not so much! I've noticed since living here that the ice cubes from the fridge did not taste good and naturally I felt that it made my iced beverages taste not so good as a result. Got this for my Grandmother's Samsung fridge. They lock right into place, filter great and work well. Less than half the price of the Samsung branded filters and showed up in 2 days! I bought this model at Best Buy in May, 2011. I was given a one week shipping window 3-4 weeks later, June 14 21. I don't know the exact date that it was delivered and neither did Frigidaire or Best Buy. It quit cooling June 21, 2012 at 9:00 in the evening. I waited to call until the next day. The only appliance repair place that the automated Frigidaire system had for my zip code never returned my two calls. I left messages on their answering machine for two consecutive days. I tried another town's zip code and was able to get someone out to take a look at it two days later. He said that it probably had had a slow leak since it was manufactured. He also said that it would be hard to find the hole since it was such a slow leak. He recommended that I call another repair company that was good with this type of problem. I called and a woman took down my information and said that she would give me a call back in a couple of hours. I never received a call, so the next day I called Frigidaire, again determined to talk to a human. After being on hold for a very long time, I was able to speak to someone. When I gave her the details, she told me that the refrigerator wasn't under warranty because I had waited to call until the following day. If I had called the night before it would have been under warranty. I asked to talk to her supervisor. After a long wait, she came back on the line and said that her manager had agreed to pay for the parts. I was told that parts were usually 75% of the repair bill. When I called the repair shop back, that was supposedly good with this type of problem, I was told the bill for labor would be $850-1500. She suggested that I should just throw it away and buy a new one. One day out of the one year manufacturers warranty! No one would have been there if I had called that night! Shame on Frigidaire!

I called a refrigerator repair service to fix my unit. A guy showed up and wanted $550.00 to install a new compressor. I knew it wasn't the compressor but it still cost me $52.00 for the visit. I checked the refrigerator schematic and check the Internet for the part numnber. I ended up ordering this part its cost was less than the service call and was priced $30.00 to $50.00 less than the competition. The new part arrived in a couple of days had complete instructions. Obviously, I'm happy I've saved over $500.00 by using Amazon.

The picture indicates a direct replacement for this ADC. What you will get is the newer model orange model which will work fine, however you will receive a wiring harness with the package which requires almost an hour to install. Worked fine after installation, but pictured item is no the one you will get.

We have had this model for only one week but we are very satisfied with this model. Bright inside and big with a great design. The motor in other reviews we have read wad too noisy but we have not noticed this. When the fridge originally cooled down and the motor ran constantly after we first plugged it in, I thought maybe it would be a problem but now that the temps are where they should be, it doesnt run any more than our old one and is fairly quiet. We debated buying this fridge against other brands, but after much online research and visits to stores, we are very happy with our decision.

My entire life I have only known the standard, freezer door on top, one giant door below, refrigerator. About a year after we moved in to our house, it was time to buy a new refrigerator and there was a lot of things to like about this LG fridge.

Pros:

Width we had a very set width we were working with, and at the time, this was one of the few french door models that would fit the size we needed.

Looks overall, the fridge is aesthetically pleasing.

Size the ability to adjust all the shelves and door compartments really allows you to maximize the internal space for your family's needs

Function things are the right temperature and the freezer freezes. It's a fridge, it does what I hoped it would.

Freezer I know from an energy standpoint the whole freezer pulling out, might not be the best, but if you want your freezer on the bottom, it's the best way to access it so you don't have to get on the ground to look in there.

Cons:

The doors require being PUSHED shut. Our guests leave the fridge open all the time. There is a door alarm which is a pro only because of this problem.

You need some extra space for the doors to open beyond the width requirement. Our one door is not able to open fully for this reason. Both doors have hinges that open just a little wider than the fridge itself.

Ice-maker it works fine, but there's no filter for this fridge so your ice is only as good as your tap water.

Overall:

For our first refrigerator, we have been extremely happy with it. A couple minor quirks, but a lot of nice features and we got it a price lower than what is listed currently. After reading the other reviews, I just went out and gave all the handles a good tug, and they are all sturdy on my model. No complaints there. Based on my use, I would recommend it.

We got a very similar LG model 3 years ago. No major problems, but...

Door Closing: Unlike most refrigerators, you need to actively push the doors closed each time. Guests botch it. And household regulars miss it once in a while even after 3 years. The well designed door alarm resolves it usually, but not always. An active family is going to open and close the fridge door 80,000 times in 10 years. This minor hassle is not so minor.

Bottom Freezer: The model has a good energy efficiency numbers, but I wonder if those are closed-door tests. This one pulls the whole freezer drawer out into the room. Air circulates top, bottom, left, and right. It feels like a crazy amount of energy wasted every time.

Bottom Freezer--Part 2: The freezer also demands active closing attention. Once in a great while it's left 1/3 inch open...not enough open to trigger the alarm, but enough to tick you off when things are mushy the next morning.

Bottom Freezer--Part 3: The handle is about to break. There's a cracking sound every time we pull on it. Probably from having to pull extra hard when the roller-gear mechanism iced up due to Part 2 above.

Lots of good things about this fridge, and no fridge is perfect. But I think the french door + bottom freezer design has more hassles than benefits.

This refrigerator was purchased to replace a perfectly good refrigerator; we had built a retirement home and wished to start with all new appliances. Sadly we purchased all LG appliances and regret that decision on a daily basis. This is NOT a heavy-duty traffic home but a senior citizen household of two. The refrigerator is the worst of the poorly-built, poorly performing appliances. Two plastic bins on the refrigerator broke within months of use. The icemaker quit working within the first year. The freezer must be manually defrosted (by turning off the entire unit) as ice builds up in sheets because the freezer door does not form a tight seal (thereby negating the touted energy savings). Its saving grace is that it is beautiful to look at, but Beauty Is as Beauty Does. DO NOT BUY LG PRODUCTS.

Part works great, have had installed for over 3 months and no problems. Installation difficulty was probably a 3 out of 5. I had the water dispenser and had to google for disconnecting, which was actually easy. Directions come with the unit but are small and difficult to read. Also had to pay attention to the fact that my fridge had the defrost heater and that part needs to be put into this one. not a big deal, but just be aware of it. would buy again, but hope not to.

Was missing the spring that holds the damper closed. I had to take it back out, install spring from old unit and re-mount unit back in fridge. Should come with all the parts needed.

Rusco Spin Down Separator Sand / Sediment Water Filter 50 GPM - PWFSS15

I wanted a clear housing grit filter and could not find it anywhere. Amazon to the rescue. While I would have preferred the inlet and outlets to have been smaller, I bushed them down to 3/4 and the unit works great. Just what i needed, when i needed it and priced right.

I have had it for two years now and it easily solved the grit problems I was having. If valved properly on the install, cleaning the screen is a snap. My faucet cartridges and fill valves have needed NO attention at all since this install. I flush it every month or so and clean the screen quarterly. I put some "O" ring lube before I re-assemble and only hand tight.

After going thru numerous fabric filters that couldn't keep up, our water tech installed one of these to combat heavy sediment, sand and even large specs of iron in our well water. He installed a timer to allow it to auto purge a couple of times each day. This original filter has lasted and worked well for over 12 years saving untold damage to our downstream water softener. About once a year, I remove and manually clean the filter to extract any sediment that gets locked in the mesh. When the $ 500 timer failed, I replaced it with a $ 50 water bird irrigation timer that has worked flawlessly for 5 years. Very happy with and dependent on this tool.

This filter system is easy to install and easy to use. We just turn the bottom and empty the sediment into a bucket. My only problem is the filter. It doesn't stop small sediment very well and we needed to replace the filter after just 3 months. I expected it to last 6 months at least.

If you have moderate to heavy sediment, this is not for you. In fact, if you can spell sediment this is not for you. The idea behind the unit is great, but unfortunately it doesn't work. Sediment filtration is poor at best and the material that passes as a filter can easily come unglued decreasing the units limited effectiveness. As a $19.99 TV special, with 3 extra thrown in for those who order in the next 30 minutes, I might say give it a try, if only as a lesson not to believe everything you see on the box.

With filter systems that actually work starting around $35, this $53 price tag is ridiculous. So, if you still decide to buy one, buy mine. Slightly used and definitely broken

We've had this fridge about 18 months and it is used continually for storing beer. It has survived a cross country relocation with no damage or maintenance. The fridge works well and keeps the beer cool what more can you ask?

I drop a star as the shelf arrangement and door pockets are a little odd. If a couple of bottles or cans are put in the door then this really eats up the space in the fridge. It would be better with no door pockets at all and reducing door depth.

Overall though a good product although it does make a reasonable amount of fan noise.

Definitely is very quiet. Fan runs continually. Cooling mechanism is state-of-the art, but very fragile and poorly constructed. Cooling mechanism is inadequate even for such a small refrigerator. Cooling time for items placed inside is very long hours, because the of the underpowered cooling mechanism. Metal cans a bit faster. Food sealed in platic containiners cool most slowly. Not wise to place items in this fridge that require very rapid cooling to avoid microbial growth. Sealed cans and bottles fine. This fridge does not have a small freezer compartment, because the cooling mechanism is underpowered, and likely not capabile of reaching the freezing point of water even if the cooling mechanism capacity was doubled or tripled.

Much better off buying a small conventional fridge which are now adays equally quiet and can do the job.

The cooling mechanism in mine (this model) self-destructed after 18 months. In the recycle bin now.
