Whirlpool W10408179 Water Inlet Valve

Works as advertised. You do have to cut some water lines (at least on my fridge) because the connection type changed, but once you commit it turns out to be no big deal.

picture is deceiving. It shows not only the two (2) solenoids but also the water inlet piece on the end of mount. Does not come with the water supply connection. You must buy that seperately (Amazon did not have it so I had to find from other appliance webstore).

We bought this appliance for a new wet bar we are installing. We ordered it indirectly from Amazon (Gerhard's Appliance). There was a gap of about four weeks between the time is arrived and the time it was installed. When we finally plugged it in, the compressor was making a horrible rattling noise. Gerhards is refusing to exchange the unit, and is saying our only recourse is repair. I am left wondering why I paid full price for a lemon. KitchenAid is refuing to back up their products and is also being unhelpful. I will never again buy a KitchenAid/Whirlpool product.

Frigidaire PAULTRA Refrigerator Air Filter

This filter is a very poorly designed product. Our filter that came with our Frigidaire Professional was a solid filter, the replacement has three tissue thin carbon sheets as a filter. I'm not sure why there is such a difference in products, as this is the recommended filter for my refrigerator, but I do not recommend it, I will shop for a generic replacement.

This is the manufacturer's filter except that it was much cheaper to buy it thru Amazon. I question whether the replacement LED light provides a reasonable time for replacement (does a refrigerator air filter need replaced in less than 6 months?) but owners can reset the replacement light to run for another period 4-6 month if they choose.
