Whirlpool W10408179 Water Inlet Valve

Whirlpool W10408179 Water Inlet ValveWorks as advertised. You do have to cut some water lines (at least on my fridge) because the connection type changed, but once you commit it turns out to be no big deal.

picture is deceiving. It shows not only the two (2) solenoids but also the water inlet piece on the end of mount. Does not come with the water supply connection. You must buy that seperately (Amazon did not have it so I had to find from other appliance webstore).

Frigidaire Refrigerator Door Cam, Door Closer 240457701

Frigidaire Refrigerator Door Cam, Door Closer 240457701I've seen a lot of posts about the same problem with this Frigidaire refrigerator door, making a "clunk" noise as the cams wear out. In our case, the upper cam completely broke. My first mistake was thinking that all I needed to do was replace that broken upper cam. Well, what actually happened was (1) the upper cam broke, (2) the lower cam also had worn badly, and (3) the metal shaft at the bottom had damaged & warped the triangle-shaped hole that the upper cam fits into.

So I ignorantly ordered just the upper cam; when it arrived and I installed it, it still clunked. I then guessed that the lower cam needed replacing after being worn improperly, so I ordered that. Still clunked. Realized the bracket with the triangle-shaped hole was not holding the upper cam securely, so I ordered and replaced that. Still clunks.

The moral of the story is that each part has been replaced and seems to be in order, but the damn door still clunks. I suspect it'll only be a matter of time before the upper cam breaks again, but I can't see any solution past the $60+ I've already spent trying to fix it.

Ok what more can you say? Just beware the two parts to the door cam is different. You can't tell from just the diagram.

There is the flat cam and the other cam with a barrel. The barrel cam goes into the door and the flat cam installs onto the bracket. Hey when you spend that much money on the two plastic parts, you should know what you're getting.

LG 30" Induction Cooktop

LG 30' Induction Cooktop
  • 4 Cooking Elements
  • Bridge Element
  • SmoothTouch Controls
  • Premium Stainless Steel Trim

I will say that I love induction cooking, though it took a while to find good quality induction cookware. We don't have gas so I've had coils, I've had radiant, I've had halogen. Induction is by far the best electric cooking option available today.

The induction itself is nice on this cooktop, but the support and the touch controls on this model are far, far inferior to anything else out there. I love touch controls and was really excited when my radiant cooktop went out and was able to get a touch cooktop. My, was I disappointed. These are the absolute worst controls. If there is any moisture on ANY part of the control surface it doesn't respond. If you boil something that large droplets splash onto the controls, they go nuts. All heating surfaces shut off and 'E1' starts flashing. You have to clean and dry the entire touch surface, hold 'power' to reset, then turn back on the burners you need then adjust them to the setting they had. A real deal breaker if you are cooking something that removing the heat will mess it up.

Drops of water cause malfunction. Laying a damp towel causes malfunction. Putting anything metal over the controls causes malfunction.

I have many touch control appliances and none have this behavior. Even my Rosewill portable induction burner performs flawlessly and has none of these problems.

For the controls alone I do not recommend this cooktop. Get the one with knobs or another brand. This one is a 'fail'.

EDIT: After multiple attempts to contact LG email support and their webpage doesn't work, I find support very lacking in addition to the failure of this product.

Buy LG 30" Induction Cooktop Now

The LG Ceramic Glass Induction Cooktop is one of the best kept secrets in the cooking world. If people could try it, they would never go back to electric or gas. It is just about perfect!

When my 32 year old electric range finally bit the dust, my engineer husband talked me into "trying" LG's Induction Cooktop. I am a very old fashioned person, tending to stay with the tried and true method of whatever, but,I agreed to give it a go.

Wow! Am I ever glad I did. It cooks unbelievably fast, even and clean. The cooktop saves energy in the summer, because only the pots or pans get hot, not the burner. And, when I cut off the burner, it stops cooking immediately, because it doesn't have to cool down, like gas or electric.

If the pot boils over, I can immediately lift the pot and wipe off the mess. It is embarrassingly easy to keep clean no more having to wash electric burner pans in the dishwasher or replacing them when they rust.

I've had to relearn how to cook, because it cooks so much faster than my electric range. But, it has returned my joy and enthusiasm in cooking. For that, my husband is indebted to LG.

What can I say? Try it, you'll love it!

I chose this unit because it has good reviews and primarily a slim profile similar to the electric cooktop which it's replacing. The cooktop works great for 2 years (as others stated), but the unit stop working. It wouldn't turn on after a loud pop. I called LG customer service to check on my warranty and repair options. My unit is out of warranty after 1 year and the only thing they cover up to 5 years is the cooktop glass. I'm pretty much on my own in terms of getting it repair (this can be costly depending what internal parts are broken). I'm giving it a 2-stars because while I'm satisfied with the performance of the cooktop, but disappointed that it lasted less than 2 years.

I was a bit concerned spending this much on a cooktop and via an on-line purchase, but the cooktop shipped and delivered quickly. No issues and it is in great working order.

As for cooking, it is really amazing. Aside from having to buy new cookware, the speed of this cooktop is great. Heats up very quickly, and boils a cup of water faster than the microwave.

The family is very impressed with this product and would highly recommend it to others.

We purchased the LG 30" induction cooktop two years ago. It has performed beyond our expectations. It is powerful when you need to bring something up to temperature fast. There was a little bit of a learning curve when we first got it. We found medium or lower heat works best to keep foods from sticking or burning.

The glass top is easy to clean and and looks so nice with a quick wipe of a paper towel.

The duel burner is a nice feature because you can use large pots or the long griddle that comes with the cooktop.

The unit is maybe 4" deep which meant that we were able to use a base cabinet with 3 drawers, two deep drawers for pots and pans, and a 6" drawer for tools and hot pads. The top drawer stays cool even while using the burners.

When purchasing pots and pans, read the label. Induction is becoming more popular and pot and pan companies label their products accordingly. Your old pots and pans may not work on this cooktop...you just bought a new cooktop, go buy yourself some new pots and pans!

We are now planning our retirement home and we would definitely re-purchase this cooktop for our next home.

Maytag MFC2061KES 19.8 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator - Energy StarRugged and full of features and LOTS of space. I love the fresh water dispenser INSIDE the door-it does not detract from the elegant stainless steel front. The pull-out freezer drawer is also awesome.

The cheap plastic cover for the deli tray broke. But the refrig was still working great. After five years of ownership, however, it completely stopped working. I had two repairmen here to fix it. They each said that b/c the tubing is on the inside, they can't take it apart to fix the leak. I now have to replace a huge and very expensive refrigerator. Do not buy this brand. Also, their warranties used to be for five years, now they are for only one year. Go figure.

Set of 4 Magnetic Shopping List Memo Pads - Fun Produce Shapes

  • Each pad has 60 sheets, 4.5 x 8.5" for grocery list, menu plans, appointment reminders & family note
  • Multiple magnets on back attach firmly to any ferrous metal surface

The paper quality was so poor it curled up. Don't think for a second you will hang this from your refrigerator or be able to use the magnets on the back. They are cute but a waste. When you rip off the first page the entire pad rips from the magnetic back and falls to the floor.

Kitchen Aid KCM22WF Water Filter Pod 3 per pack

Kitchen Aid KCM22WF Water Filter Pod 3 per packJust replaced old ones after far too long in pot, and the difference between coffee with the old filters and the new filters is significant. These filters do what they are supposed to do, and do it well.

The filter really does seem to do something, for when I'm not using them the pot's "clean" light turns up every couple of weeks. When using, I often end up doing the monthly cleaning before the pot tells me to.

I just use city tap water. I suppose depending on your water quality you could get by without these. I'm not a big enough coffee connoisseur to be able to tell a difference in my coffee's flavor.

I've had my Kitchenaid coffee maker for two years now, making coffee daily, and never replaced the filter. I finally decided to pick up a pack of these and can say without any hesitation that this had no impact whatsoever on our coffee. Once I use these up I'll probably just run without a filter. I'm sure it may vary based on your local water, but this just seems like an unnecessary extra expense for those of us seeking the best cup of coffee.

True T-23, 1 Door, 23 cu ft Reach-In Refrigerator

True T-23, 1 Door, 23 cu ft Reach-In Refrigerator
  • True T-23
  • 260 lbs

We were disappointed that the refrigerator only lasted 1 year beyond the warranty. We had to use the warranty during the 5 years to repair the compressor. The compressor then went out again after the warranty had expired 1 year and it would have cost almost as much to replace it and pay for a repair person to fix it as it would have to buy a new one.

Avanti WC55SSR 52 Bottle Built-in or Freestanding Wine Cooler

Avanti WC55SSR 52 Bottle Built-in or Freestanding Wine Cooler
  • Under counter design saves floor space
  • Special front venting prevents overheating
  • Stores a serious collection-- up to 52 bottles of wine
  • Electronic temperature control is easy to use with a digital display
  • Excellent insulation with the double pane tempered double glass door

After looking on line for a 50+ capacity wine cooler and reading several reviews, I decided to buy the unit. First off, the unit has a temp locking feature which doesn't allow for changing temperatures without extra steps to access and change the temp. Also, the wine racks will not hold anything other than a standard size bottle unless you remove one of the racks above the larger size bottle (viz., champagne shape bottle).

Worst feature is the noise. While the unit is attractive enough to be put anywhere, the compressor is louder than an old refrigerator and it cycles on frequently, even when the temps outside are cool, so you can imagine how much it will run when it gets hot outside. I tried putting it in the living room but the noise was too distracting to watch tv or have a conversation so if you buy this unit, keep it in the garage or basement.

Recently bought Jan 2012. Intially the unit was quiet...with in 30 days the unit made a swooshing noise that has only goten worse. Avanti did have a tech come out...but since the unit turned on/off and cooled properly they would not fix the noise. Be careful...this unit has gotten so bad (in kitchen) that I had to remove due to the overbearing swooshing that resonated throughout the house.

So far, so good. This cooler keeps the temp just right for storing white and red wines. If you are storing extra tall bottles or outsized champagne bottles, look elsewhere. The only minor issue is that it's a little noisy. But we've grown accustomed to the hum and it's not a problem. I read a number of reviews before settling on this unit so there really wasn't too many surprises.

Cooper Cooler Rapid Beverage Chilling Appliance

Cooper Cooler Rapid Beverage Chilling ApplianceThis device delivers on its promise: it honestly does chill your soda/beer/wine orders of magnitude faster than the fridge or the freezer. The downside is that it does not do the chilling by itself: water and ice must be supplied. The directions recommend two trays of ice and two cups cold water, which is more than enough for getting a 12-pack to 38F. My experience was that it took 25% longer using only one tray of ice. The device makes a tiny amount of noise, say 1/10th that of a dish washer, but they brilliantly have a "no spin" (quiet) mode should you be using this in an office/baby nursery/library. The button layout and design are extremely well thought out. Press "Can", or "bottle", and "spin" or "no spin".

All appliances should be this effective and easy to use.

I was skeptical at first that it would work, but I got one after I saw it featured in Kiplingers magazine. It worked as advertised. Chills my beer/soda cans quick in one minute and my bottles in three and a half minutes and like they say, it dosen't fizz over which I was really skeptical about. Glass bottles can sometimes rattle a bit but this dosen't seem to be a problem since its still not fizzy. Also great for chilling my wine quickly to the proper serving temp. I never really noticed the taste difference until I used my Cooper Cooler to chill my white wines to the recommended temperature in the mid-low 50s (only took three and a half minutes!!!) vs refrigerator temp which they say is too cold for most white wines. I was surprised that the difference in serving temp had an impact on the wine's taste, flavor, etc... It can sometimes groove the wine labels, but I don't care, but FYI if you collert the labels they have a no spin mode which dosen't sping the bottle. Real easy to use b/c of the electronic touch pad with easy to understand beverage chill settings and clean up is a snap, just empty the ice water bath in the sink. I store my wine outside the fridge now to make more room for other stuff since I can quickly chill my wine whenever I need it like when guests come over or whatever. Really recommend for the wine drinker b/c it can chill your wine quickly to the proper serving temp and great for the person who throws allot of parties since it can chill just about anything! Great conversation piece at parties.

After two years of moderate use our Cooper Cooler continues to chill perfectly. Mostly we use it for wine. It's a great conversation piece as well. If there is a downside I would say that it could be slightly larger because not all wine bottles fit.

my friend got me a cooper cooler as a gift, and i had it sitting around for a while and whatever, it was just okay...but then after a while i started using it once or twice, and it really does cool soda cans really fast. i drink a lot of diet coke, and its slightly easier than filling up the fridge. i mean, its not going to change your life, but it makes drinking things (anyway) a little easier to do.

best, B

Panasonic NN-H765BF Genius 1.6 cuft 1250-Watt Sensor Microwave with Inverter Technology, Black

Panasonic NN-H765BF Genius 1.6 cuft 1250-Watt Sensor Microwave with Inverter Technology, BlackAfter having my first microwave for about 18 years, it finally died and I did a lot of research before deciding to buy this Panasonic. Having Amazon gift certificates, free shipping and a $25 kitchen and housewares discount influenced my decision and I have to say it was a great buy. I'm very pleased with the evenness with which it cooks and defrosts.

I upgraded from a mid-size 650-watt oven to this full-size 1250-watt oven. I have to remind myself sometimes that everything needs less time to cook. However, there are a lot of pre-programmed features in this unit that make it easier. For example, there is a sensor cook button that selects the time and power level for different kinds of foods depending on how many times you tap the button. Types of food include baked potatoes, frozen pizza, frozen entrees, fresh vegetables, frozen vegetables and omelettes. I made a baked potato last night that was cooked perfectly. There is also a separate popcorn button (you can select from 3 different bag sizes) that also worked perfectly. A More/Less button lets you add or subtract time to the sensor and popcorn settings.

There are a number of different functions you can select or turn on and off. Some of the functions include language (English, French or Spanish), a choice of pounds or kilos, child lock, reminder beep (I turned that off because unlike my old oven which beeped every minute, this one beeps every 15 seconds which was annoying) and menu action which when turned on guides you through each step of cooking. There is also a demo mode which is meant for retail displays but you can see how everything works without actually cooking anything.

Some other useful features are delayed start where you can use the timer to set the oven to start cooking at a later time and a keep warm setting if you won't be taking your food out of the oven immediately. A Quick Min button lets you select 1-9 minutes simply by tapping the button the appropriate number of times.

If you purchase this, I would suggest going through the owner's manual a couple of times. I went through it once before I used the oven. A couple of days later I went through it again and discovered that I had overlooked some shortcuts.

The only down side for me with this oven is losing some more counter space in a small kitchen. Keep that in mind if you don't already have a full-size oven.

UPDATE: It is now 2010 and I realized I have been using this oven for 3 1/2 years and I still love it! I do a lot of actual cooking in it too, not just reheating, popcorn, etc.

I've never been so happy with a microwave. It is wide enough to allow the defrosting of a long block of chicken thighs, yet short enough to fit in the limited space I have to stash it. If you yearn for modest height and generous width, this is your oven.

It's quiet. It looks GREAT. It beeps to let you know when it's time to turn something over you are defrosting, but won't shut off and wait for you to turn it. (Turning is optional.) It's clear from a bar indicator what power level you have set and is operating, which makes it easy to tell from a distance.

More on defrosting: My last micro only allowed up to 2.4 lbs in the display, so for that chicken block I was eternally re-defrosting. Not this baby. Bring on your big freezer items, as long as they aren't too tall. Up to 6 lbs can be entered in the display.

That "ENJOY YOUR MEAL" message that moves across the display when the cooking cycle ends is a nice touch.

UPDATE 8/02/2010It's still doing the job and looking great.

Buy Panasonic NN-H765BF Genius 1.6 cuft 1250-Watt Sensor Microwave with Inverter Technology, Black Now

I have always been partial to Panasonic microwaves and this is one of the best. It has had constant daily use for over two months now with an excellent performance record.

In fact, I have only used my stove and oven twice since this purchase (for a large frozen pizza). The sensors are very accurate oatmeal is perfect. With two frozen dinners, I had to add additional time, but everything else has cooked, reheated or thawed as expected.

Earlier reviews mentioned resetting the clock and a loud beep. Panasonic must have listened to their customers as neither problem appears to be present on this model.

With 1250 watts, it does reheat more quickly than older models so I would suggest reducing the time until you get used to your new microwave.

UPDATE 10/21/2008 In December it will be two years still perfect!

Read Best Reviews of Panasonic NN-H765BF Genius 1.6 cuft 1250-Watt Sensor Microwave with Inverter Technology, Black Here

OK, maybe not better than new, but certainly better than old. My old Panasonic microwave finally went to micro-heaven after 21 years of faithful service. That's right, 21 years! I had been so happy with it, and with Panasonic, that I decided I'd try to duplicate the purchase. This one is as close as I could come (it even has exactly the same glass turntable!), with some great new features. Some reviewers have expressed worries about durability. My guess is 21 years isn't a realistic expectation for anything these days (microwaves, TVs, cars, marriages). But if memory serves I paid around $350 for its predecessor back in the 80s, a unit that was much heavier, had fewer features, and was more difficult to program and use. Although the interior is slightly shorter, everything else on this microwave is a logical update on the old one. My only problem? After 21 years I had all the settings memorized for my favorite cooking chores. This unit is more powerful, and I'm having to experiment to find new ones. Bottom line...so far, so great!

Want Panasonic NN-H765BF Genius 1.6 cuft 1250-Watt Sensor Microwave with Inverter Technology, Black Discount?

This is a basic microwave oven with some cool features and a very mediocre user interface. You can enter time and press cook and it works. It has a power button that reduces cooking power by reducing continuous cooking energy, not, as most do, by cycling on/off at full power. This is good, but the button is stupid. To set power 3, you have to push the power button 6 times. It decrements from ten, one digit per press. It also has a "quick minute" button, which is good, but it, too, still requires that you press the "start" button. Not as quick as my old uWave, which just starts when you press the quick-buttons. I also wish there was a "quick 30 sec", which I used more than anything on the old oven. There's also a "smart reheat" button that's great. It heats until it senses steam/heat given off the food. But it's also stupid, since there's no control over the power level. (Panasonic doesn't document this feature very well, really.) There's a "Smart Cook" button, that also cooks by sensing the steam/heat given off by the food. It would be way cool if you could figure out the cooking profiles, but they don't document that, either--they just say "potato" or "frozen pizza" and assume they know how to cook it. Again no power control, and no way to use it if you don't happen to be cooking potatoes or one of the other 8 food items listed. You also have to press this button between 1 and 9 times to select the food group--again a stupid button trick.

All in all, it's a fine appliance at a good price. Its biggest shortcoming is that the user interface could easily be so much better.

Kalorik Thermoelectric Dual-Zone 18-Bottle Ventilated Wine Cooler, Stainless Steel/Black

Kalorik Thermoelectric Dual-Zone 18-Bottle Ventilated Wine Cooler, Stainless Steel/Black
  • 18-bottle dual-zone wine cooler with thermoelectric technology
  • Digital controls with LCD display; 2-zone adjustable temperature
  • 6-bottle upper compartment for white; 12-bottle lower compartment for red
  • Soft LED lighting with on/off switch; auto defrost; double-paned tempered-glass door
  • Measures 19-2/7 by 13-1/2 by 26 inches; 1-year limited warranty

A couple of things I want to get out of the way first thing. This appliance cost me $189.00 with shipping. It is not an expensive appliance so if you are expecting 100% humidity, the ability to stay cold in your garage, or completely silent operation you may be disappointed.

On the other hand, if you keep your house or apartment fairly cool then you will have the ability to keep your wines at whatever temperature you most enjoy them along with fairly quiet operation.

-Cooling Ability

In regards to the unit's cooling ability I was initially concerned that any thermoelectric cooler wouldn't be able to stay cool in my apartment. From about 9:00PM to Noon the next day my apartment stays a relatively comfortable 76-77 degrees. However, starting at around 1:00PM the sun begins to hit the west side of my apartment and by late afternoon my AC cannot keep it cooler than 81 degrees. On occasion the temperature inside my apartment will hit 83 degrees in the afternoon even with the AC on. The good news is that this cooler can hold its own in these conditions. Because it has plenty of time during the night and morning to get down to its 50 degree setting it only drifts up slightly during the few hours of heat inside my apartment. In fact, I have not seen it get above 52 and usually it stays at 51. If you keep your place below 77 degrees you will not have difficulty getting the upper part of the cooler into the 40s from my experience (the lowest setting is 45). The bottom section stays at a rock solid 55 degrees in my apartment.

-Noise

It sounds like some people are buying this with the expectation of silent operation. I read the reviews so I knew it was going to be noisy, but from the reviews I read you would think it sounds like an aircraft trying to take off. It does make noise, but I have it on the other side of the wall from my living room and it is very difficult to hear. As long as it is one room removed from where you like to read, surf the web or whatever it should be fine. The TV easily drowns it out even in the same room.

-Other Thoughts

It looks nice, has a blue digital read-out on the front and a nice interior light. Overall, I am pleased with how it looks next to my bar. Mine arrived well packaged and with no damage which was a concern for me as I had read a lot of reviews reporting damage during shipping. In a year I will follow up to let you know how reliable it is. A couple of my taller wine bottles don't fit and champagne is a tight squeeze.

-Conclusion

I love it thus far. As long as it continues to perform the way it has it will be $189.00 well spent.

EDIT 11/11/10: I bought this in March 2009 and reviewed it in June 2009. It is still working exactly as stated in this review one year and eight months

later.

EDIT 05/07/2011: The lower compartment has lost its cooling ability. It has been just over two years since I made the purchase and the top of the unit is still keeping solidly at 55 degrees. It's a shame that the lower cooling unit seems to be over worked and just gives out over time. I am still using this unit but will probably retire it at some point and replace it with a higher quality one.

We purchased this wine refrigerator in September. It ran without issue until February. Yes, a whole 5 months. At which point, it stopped working. Period. Will not turn on. Thus, I now have intimate knowledge of the "warranty" program. The warranty program is shoddy, at best. You have to provide the original receipt of purchase for Kalorik to evaluate (having original shipping box and label is inadequate). If they evaluate the receipt and determine that the product is under warranty, the purchaser (YOU) then has to pay the shipping costs to ship the product to Miami. The packing weight of the refrigerator and original box is 45 pounds. At this point, they will try to fix it or replace it. There is no additional warranty on the fix. Also, if they claim to have fixed it and it does not work when you get it back, you get to pay to ship it back to them again. If they cannot fix it, they ship you another one -maybe refurb, maybe new -I could not get clarity on what they would replace it with. However, that "other" unit does not come with an additional year of warranty. The person who provided these details on the warranty program is the person that answers the phone at Kalorik. It took no less than five times of being put on hold so that she could go ask someone else for clarity on my warranty questions. She could not email me a complete description of their warranty program, so it is anyone's guess if this program is administered the same way every time.

Bottom line -cheap, shoddy, Chinese made product with some kind of warranty that requires you to pay half as much as the product to ship it to Miami to have it fixed. I would not buy this product again, or recommend it to anyone. Go with a wine refrigerator from a reputable company with written warranty policies.

I would love to have been able to review this item. I really wanted to try it. But, I ordered one that arrived damaged. I ordered a replacement and it arrived more damaged than the first one. Until they can improve the packaging, this will never make it through shipping.

First unit arrived with a cracked doorframe, no issues returning. Second unit worked great for approx 3 weeks, but now will not cool in the lower compartment. Thankfully it decided to break before the end of the Amazon return window as none of the reviews for manufacturer customer service have been positive!

I reviewed this item when I first purchased it, a year ago, and because it was fairly inexpensive, and made in China, along with the fact that the first one they sent was broken, I had a negative view on this

cooler. Oops.....I was wrong. It has run perfectly, done a fine job of caring for my wine, and I sincerely regret doubting it was going to be worth its price. It is. I love the look of this stainless steel beauty with that cool blue light casting a glow on the bottles slumbering safely within it. Next bottle I open, I'll toast to it. It's caring for two 1978 Stag's Leap Cellars Cabernet and doing a perfectly

marvelous job. (update) Well, the thing did end up dying, after all. What a shame, I loved that glow. It still protects bottles, but doesn't chill. RIP, beautiful little cooler.

Well when I found out it didn't have one I had no idea where to start looking and so someone told me to check Amazon. So I did and I found this product. I bought it not knowing if it would fit or not but I gave it a chance. The shipping was amazingly fast and it fit perfectly inside my dryer. I only clear it out every other time I use my dryer because this item is so big it catches everything and more! Definitely glad I got it!

My dryer was still in great shape but the lint filter was shot, so this was a great deal. I got it for half what the appliance store was going to charge me and that included the shipping.

Filter was packaged very poorly, no protection. Arrived bent and warped. Had to reshape it by hand. However, it does fit and it is the product that was ordered. Based on the cost savings (about 50%), it's difficult to complain about. ;^)

Echo all the shipping commentsthe lint screen arrived a bit folded over on the end farthest from the handle, in the two flat-rate box creation. I was able to straighten out the mesh and it seems to work fine now. Not the same build as the original lint screen, but it seems to work fine catching all the lint. No complaints once installed.

GE WR55X10956 Main Control Board Assembly for Refrigerator

GE WR55X10956 Main Control Board Assembly for RefrigeratorMy freezer section was running warm. The fan was working as well as running through the defrost cycle. I figured I'd bite the bullet and perform the most expensive yet easiest repair. This fixed the problem completely and the unit has been running like a champ ever since. Only took minutes to install myself.

I think my heading says it all. GE refrigerator had begun to act up. It would not maintain the set temperatures, it ran continually, the filter light was on and would not reset, etc. With the number of issues, I assumed that the control board was at fault. A local servicing company, by telephone, said $300.+ to replace the board.

I searched the web and found numerous stores selling the board for $129. Then I found it here for $89, including shipping. I purchased the board and it arrived quickly. The packaging said "Genuine GE."

I installed the board and the refrigerator now works perfectly again!

I had a repair person come to my house and said the brain was bad, I bought this one but did not fix my frig cooling problem, the brain works just like my old one. End up to be the little fan in the frig side not turning on. I push the door switch in and tap the cover where the fan is and the fan starts to work. the new brain works fine.

I installed it and the fridge did not work at all so I returned it. I put the old one back in and cleaned the connections on it. It works fine now.
