FREEZER ARRIVED DECEMBER 13TH. HOOKED IT UP AND SET CONTROL AT MID LEVEL. PUT A THERMOMETER INSIDE. TEMPERATURE NEVER GOT BELOW 35 DEGREES. SET TO MAXIMUM COOLING WITH NO IMPROVEMENT. CALLED OUT SERVICE TWICE. UNIT STILL NOT WORKING AFTER 2 SERVICE CALLS. REPEATED DELAYS WITH MANUFACTURER HAVE RESULTED IN INABILITY TO RETURN (TIME LAPSE). HAIER IS VERY DIFFICULT TO GET ON THE PHONE AND YOU CANNOT USE INTERNET TO REPORT PROBLEMS. THEY USE AN ANSWERING SERVICE WHEN THEY EXPERIENCE CALL OVERLOAD AND THEN SAY THEY WILL RETURN CALL WITHIN 2 BUSINESS DAYS. I HAD 50 % SUCCESS GETTING CALLS RETURNED. SERVICE PEOPLE ARRIVE LATE TOO. DON'T EVER BUY A LARGE APPLIANCE FROM AMAZON. THE RETURNS POLICY VERY DIFFICULT TO IMPLEMENT.

This product does not meet my expectations. First, it was delivered with a broken lock. I called customer service right away and they kept me on hold for 20 minutes and then told me they would call me back in two business days. Second, the wine refrigerator is very loud and sounds like an inexpensive fan. Third, the refrigerator is not cooling properly. Finally, I paid close to $1,000 for this piece about a month ago and they promised "white glove" delivery. Upon arrival the delivery people showed me the invoice, which reflected "bronze delivery," and they would not deliver it inside my house.

The cheap plastic cover for the deli tray broke. But the refrig was still working great. After five years of ownership, however, it completely stopped working. I had two repairmen here to fix it. They each said that b/c the tubing is on the inside, they can't take it apart to fix the leak. I now have to replace a huge and very expensive refrigerator. Do not buy this brand. Also, their warranties used to be for five years, now they are for only one year. Go figure.

My range came in a somewhat timely manner, not quite as quickly as some of the items I've purchased at Amazon though. It came undamaged, which I was a little nervous about after I'd read some of the other reviews, but mine was perfect and dent free. It's an attractive range and I love the smaller oven on top for broiling and smaller baking jobs. The touch controls are pretty easy to figure out. My only complaint with the Range is that it seems to take longer to heat to cooking temps than my old Range did. It came natural gas ready and we use propane but the jets to covert came with it, as did easy instructions to change it over. All in all a great Range though and I'd buy it again!!

My only hangup with the product (and this isn't the sellers fault) is that my fridge manual has the ice maker valve part number mixed up with the main water inlet valve. The part worked exactly as it should and my ice maker is now producing again.

I bought this Refrigerator over a year ago. It was great for the first month, until I found that the water connections under the fridge were loose and dripping on my brand new hardwood floors. We had the tech out to fix it, he had to order a whole new water manifold. After installation, the water dispenser/ice machine worked for 2 wks, service guy was back out to replace the "brain". It worked for 2 months then water strength started to diminish until there was nothing out of the dispenser nor the ice machine. We have had service guys out 5 times in 1 year to deal with the water dispenser/ice machine. It still doesnt work today and now we are out of warranty and will have to pay. Kitchen Aid refuses to replace the refrigerator. I will never buy another Kitchen Aid Refrigerator. Very disappointed in the quality and service level.

Just bought this refrigerator and as soon as I removed all the packaging tape and plugged it in I have had nothing but problems. The fit and finish is sub par and the water dispenser does not work. The lights inside sometimes works and sometimes dont. The service guy installing the microwave and stove said the light switch is bad and to call service. Im very disappointed. I paid 2,100 at Sargents for this appliance.

I did a lot of research before buying this model. I originally purchased a GE and didn't realize the counter depth did not not have exterior ice. I couldn't be more pleased with this unit after about 3 weeks of use. Here are the features I love most: LED lighting is beautiful. The shelves slide back and forth so they don't have to be removed if you need room for a tall item. I was concerned about the space going to cabinet depth but it hasn't been a problem. I've had more than enough space and it's more useful than the space I had with a side by side. The water dispenser is designed so you can fill any size container. My old unit I had to tilt a regular cup to fill but this unit could fill a 5 gal bucket easily (hard to describe but look at the picture). The ice dispenser is also tall. The ice bucket is really easy to remove. I love the look of the counter depth. I makes a big difference in giving the kitchen an upgraded look!

Other items to note: Ice is in the door which means the bucket is small and holds less. This hasn't been a problem for me and I use ice in every drink. The cubes are smaller than usual, but again this doesn't bother me. I had trouble getting the unit to start making ice but I think it was user error because it's worked fine ever since. I wish it had a soda holder. There is less door shelf space since the ice dispenser is in the door. Those shelves are very shallow. The unit is pricier but I got a great deal on mine.

Overall I couldn't be happier with my decision on this unit and would highly recommend.

The panel where you dispense water and ice scratches on contact. That's right, you can't put a glass up to the water dispenser without it scratching. I can't believe I spent $3000 on a fridge that has such poor quality of components. My four month old fridge looks about 10 years old because of all the scratches from our family getting water out of it. I called LG to see if I could get these pieces replaced and they said no, they were cosmetic. I can pay a technician to come out and pull the whole water and ice maker out and then replace the two panels. No thanks. I'm sure that would be quite costly. I would have just liked a higher quality material that didn't scratch when you place a glass on it. I expected a bit more from LG.

GE ADAPTER Refrigerator Water Filter Adapter

Consumers BEWARE! The GE Smartwater GWF filter is not a replacement for the old 'Culligan' FXRC metal filter. Despite the available adapter, the new Smartwater GWF filter was designed for a newer 'high-pressure' system installed in GE refrigerators manufactured after 2001. On the older models using normal water pressure [mine is a GE Performance Profile] these filters do not work. They will seem fine at first, only to run to a trickle in less than a month. I burned through several of these at @ $40.00 each until I discovered the problem.

With millions of wasted filters and dollars at stake, GE refuses to acknowledge the problem. I was told to find a technician at my expense. GE refused to replace the filters with a properly designed compatible model.

This adapter should not really be needed and it is difficult to install, as you can not tell when the plastic part is correctly aligned with the metal threads in the refrig. If you don't get it aligned just right, the thread bosses on this plastic adapter will be damaged and water will not flow. I found it was much easiest to pull the frosted horizontal bulb cover out, (just pull it towards you) so I could see when the the plasitc and metal threads were aligned. This made it was easy to install without damage.

Have a Kenmore (Sears) branded fridge that needed a new filter. When ordering new filters from Sears it turns out they changed to a different type of fitting on new filter, and they didn't state I needed the adapter now. Even their exploded diagrams on the parts list (even the updated online one) doesn't reflect a need for this adapter. Finally figured it out and am now able to use the right filter (older type fitting no longer manufactured).

As a side note, if you need the filters that fit this adapter, DO NOT order from Sears! Shipping is wicked expensive and local storefront does not stock them. Found them locally at Lowe's, and they are available online at Amazon as well.

Adapter is well built, durable, and works fine. Only gave 4 stars as (A) had to get the dang thing in the first place, and (B) it effectively lengthened the space needed to install the filter, so had to move shelf one slot down in the bracket holder.

The filter and adapter fit in my old GE fridge I have so I'm happy. Replaced filter FXRC. I could have bought a new FXRC or MXRC (replacement filter from GE b/c FXRC is discontinued) as some places must still have a stock of the old FXRC. The MWF (newest filter) and the adapter (needed to fit in the older GE model fridges) fits fine but the water flow rate is unbearably slow. It seemed to have made ice in short order though. I may try the MXRC the next time and see if the flow rate is any better but the MWF is a cheaper filter and I already have the adapter. We'll make that decision when this filter is done. This is a second fridge in the garage anyway and we use it mostly for storage and extra ice making capacity. The water flow rate for my purposes are minimal but it'd be nice if it worked well enough to use.

I have been using Water Sentinel cartridges in my LG refrigerator for more than a year now. I am very happy with the results. The cartridges last about six months in our household but we like to use the water dispenser in the door of the refrigerator. If you just have an ice maker, I would expect you to get much more time out of each cartridge.

One benefit to having a water dispenser is that you can see for yourself when the cartridge needs to be replaced. The water quality never looks worse but the flow really decreases. There is all this talk about replacing the filters on a fixed time schedule. This doesn't make much sense to me since it seems that what should matter is how much water has flowed through the filter and the quality of your water going in (the dirtier the water, the faster the filter gets used up).

The cartridges fit the refrigerator properly and they include a little packet of silicone jelly to apply to the two rubber gaskets on the neck of the filter. I have always used the silicone just to be safe and I have not had any problems with leaks (something that would be pretty serious considering that the water is under pressure and would flow until you noticed the problem).

I have been told that all filters, no matter what the brand, are all the same -they are simply a plastic casing filled with charcoal. So I'm not sure why generic filters like the Water Sentinel are not cheaper (why the four stars). How much could they cost to make? But compared to the name brand filter that came with my fridge, the Water Sentinel is a very good deal.

I have found that 4-packs of this product are where you will get your best price point. Buying one at time doesn't make much sense, especially when you factor in the shipping cost.
