NEW Replacement Part - GE Refrigerator Dual Solenoid inlet Water Valve Part# WR57X10051

GE Profile French Door version is such a POS. The fridge has had its thermosat failed two times. This time this solenoid valve had a hairline crack that caused water to flood our kitchedn. Luckily, we were home when this happens. Replacement part from Amazon worked great but only time will tell if the quality is the same as the original. The Profile was bought 2008. My old Kenmore lasted for 11 years without any single problem and was left behind when we sold our house.

The product was a good replacement for the existing part. I would suggest noting that the waterline connections to the new valve may be different than the one being replaced. The original had screw connections, and the replacements just pushed in. Valve has been working fine.

I was pleasantly surprised at how simple this was to replace. I had considered purchasing a new refrigerator because I thought it would be an expensive nightmare to purchase and replace this part. After seeing the square trade warranty offered on ebay ( found it on amazon after 'search' because amazon didn't offer it at checkout ?) I read the SquareTrade contract details. Seems like the '4 year' warranty is only an additional 2 years beyond the OEM 2 year warranty. I guess a little bit of hype and hyperbole makes for a good sales pitch. All in all tho, aside from egregious marketing spiel, 289.00 to extend the warranty on a $2200.00 appliance is not REALLY all that terrible, esp considering most products will fail 5-10 days AFTER OEM warranty runs out lol. Sure wish they would be a little more upfront about the fact they are just offering an 'extended warranty' tho.

Unpluged refrig. ,removed old heater and the new one was exact replacement. Make sure the leads plug in as when removed. All the parts were exact. The panel was put back and the referig. was plugged in and turn on. It was as good as new. Buy from amazon and save money.

I have had this cooler for five months and have been impressed with it's performance ever since the first use. The cooler takes 4 bottles of wine from room temperature down to 60 deg within a few hours.

I researched proper temps for my red wine and the consensus on the web seems to be 55, give or take 5 degrees. I have the unit set at 55 degrees on the control panel. The actual internal temperature measures 57.5 degrees (using a calibrated thermometer).

Occasionally we will shut off the AC in the house when no one is home for an extended period. When the house is very warm, like 86 degrees, the wine cooler interior will rise to about 60 deg. Which is still a "safe" range.

I have a couple of the taller wine bottles that measure 13" tall. The door closes fully and there is still almost 1/2" to spare.

It runs very quietly, you can just barely hear the fan if there is no other noise in the room. The glow from the display is amazingly bright, it literally lights up the entire room at night. On the other hand the blue interior LED light is just the opposite, it barely lights up the interior. More of a mood light, I guess.

The controls are intuitve, one button for raising the temp, one button to lower it, and the interior light button. Press either up or down and you'll see your setpoint flash on the display for 5 seconds, then the display returns to normal display of the interior temperature.

This unit is a steal at $80 including delivery!!

While I totally agree with the previous reviewer, I would give to potential buyers one word of warning. Be certain that you have enough free counter space if you intend to place this item on a kitchen counter. Manufacturer's recommendation is that you have at least a 6" space behind this unit and any wall behind it...and that you have at least a 4" space on either side of the unit. This is information you would only discover after its delivery and that might cause you to have to change your original plans for its location.

I received my Igloo Thermoelectric Wine Cooler Model FRW080 the end of June 2008. From the beginning, the unit NEVER cooled to the optimum temperature. In May 2009, the unit does not power up. A call to Igloo determined that my product is manufactured by Curtis International and is warranted by them, not Igloo. Curtis International has justed informed me that to receive warranty repair, I must mail my bulky unit back to them and additionally pay a $35.00 service charge. Now, $35.00 plus $25.00 UPS shipping charge (got to have that tracking no.) almost exceeds the cost of the unit. What do you think I should do with this unit? That's exactly what I did.

Purchased this product and it worked fine for a few months and now won't turn on. Save your money and purchase a better unit, as I sent this one to the dump.

Don't waste your money on this piece of junk. I was pretty disappointed with the cheap plastic construction, and had the same problems as other reviewers with the unit's actual interior temperature being warmer than the LED reading. But at least it more or less did the job of cooling. That is, it did the job for about ten months and then died. It comes with a one year warranty so I called the customer service number, explained the situation and was told that since my wine cooler was still under warranty there was "no problem". The customer service agent took down the address that I wanted "to use for shipping", and told me to mail a check for $35. I was also told that when the check arrived, I would receive a confirming call from the "warranty department". Assuming that the $35 was to cover shipping and handling for a replacement unit, I sent off a check. Two weeks later my check had been cashed but I had received no call, so I called again. Once more I was assured that my cooler was under warranty, and that I should receive a call from the warranty department within a few days. The next week I got a call informing me that I needed to ship my defunct cooler to Buffalo, NY to the repair facility. It turns out that the one year warranty is for "materials and workmanship", but there is only a 90 day warranty on labor. The $35 was to cover "anticipated labor". Add to that the cost of packing and shipping this item to Buffalo and back, which was my responsibility, and we're getting pretty close to the cost of a new cooler. At least they are returning my $35.

After changing the filter, you must reset the Filter Change Indicator Light by simultaneously pressing and holding the "light" and "lock" buttons until the filter lamp begins blinking. Release pads and the lamp turns off. Indicator is now reset.

These great filters. So much easier then the bad old

days when the filters was behind the refridge., and

was in line and was a mess to change.

The problems that the one of the previous users

was reporting can be avoided by checking the manual

for your fridge for reseting the warning light. It's easy,

once you know how to do it.

And even if you never get the little red light to go out

I bought this product hoping to save a few bucks, go green, and also because my local Sears was out of stock of my particular filter. I followed the instructions, including the instruction to soak the filter in water for 15-20 mins before installing which seemed extremely odd to me.

I found that the filter did not "easily" install, took quite a bit more effort than the standard Sears/Kenmore brand filter. Thankfully I did not damage my refridgerator.

As you normally would (to release trapped air), I ran water through the system after installing the new filter and was not happy to find that the water coming out of my fridge was black! I ran approximately 1+ gallons of water through the system and the color of the water lightened up a bit, but was still a very dark color. Needless to say, I removed the filter and reinstalled the previous Kenmore brand filter, ran a few gallons throught the system and was happy to see the water color return to normal.

One positive aspect of this entire ordeal was the return process. DeepDiscountsco had no issues accepting the return and refunded the full amount I originally paid. They also refunded my return shipping. Gave the extra 2nd star as a credit to their very friendly returns people.

I bought this based soley on price. While it states compatable with 9990 style filters, this does not fit in my fridge, and while installing, damaged the receiver, requiring an visit from the repairman. I thought I was going to save some money. I shall only buy these parts from the Sears store from now on.

This container was installed via instructions given by the manufacturer. My whole family noticed a plastic taste in the water, which wasn't noticed until after this device was installed. Stick with the carbon filters if you enjoy drinking good quailty water. This device didn't work for me! I should have returned item for a refund.

Frigidaire PureSource WFCB Water Filter

We did not receive the product advertised.

The advertisement states you will receive a "Frigidaire PureSourcePlus Ice & Water Filter (WFCB, 46-9906)". The product did not come in a Frigidaire PureSourcePlus package...just plastic wrap. I installed the filter and the water came out jet black. I ordered two of them so I tried the second filter, and the water was jet black again. This has never happened with Frigidaire filter.

I checked the invoice and it said they are Frigidair WFCB/RC-200 "Compatible" Replacement Regrigeragor Water Filters. If the company is selling a "compatible" filter, and not the manufacturer's filter why does the Amazon site describes and has a picture of the Frigidaire filter?

I e-mailed the company and they replied "Thank you for your order and email. From your description your new filters need to be flushed."

I ended up spending a lot more money and bought a Frigidaire filter but the water now does not taste the same.

This has been my worst online purchase experiences with Amazon.

In addition, while we did not request a refund the company subsequently wrote back and stated that they would credit our account since we were not happy with the purchase. While the company's customer service department was prompt and responsive, the Amazon website description should reflect the item being purchased in order to avoid confusion.

This is not a Frigidaire filter. I asked waterfilteronline and amazon to stop selling this item as a Frigidaire filter. Not only does the picture show a Frigidaire box but the description of the filter states Frigidaire. The filter I ordered did not come in a box nor did it have any certification stamp. These filters will fit in your refrigerator, if you are willing to risk your families health on an unknown manufacturer. In Waterfiltersonline's response, they claim that they have sold thousands of these without any problems. Waterfiltersonline did promptly refund my money but have not stopped selling off brand filters as the real deal and have not removed the picture of the filter that they do not ship.

When you buy this item, make sure you are buying directly from Amazon and not another seller. The filter actually sold by Amazon is the genuine Frigidaire filter and comes in it's proper box. The other sellers are selling knock off filters that may or may not work.

If it says it's being sold by someone other than Amazon, look under the More Buying Choices and select the one from Amazon.com. Amazon will usually choose the cheapest seller for you by default, but in this case, that is NOT what you want. The bad reviews on this item are from people who ended up with knock off filters from non-Amazon sellers.

The advertising and picture are misleading. This is NOT an OEM Frigidaire WFCB as pictured. It is an after-market filter. No idea as to the quality, as there are no ratings on the package. The water quality is important to me or why would I be buying a filter at all. Also, as another customer stated, the water initially comes out black. May just be carbon residue? but I have never seen another filter do that.

In fairness, the seller issued a full refund with no hassle, but the purchase was a complete waste of my time due to Amazon allowing this to be advertised in this manner.

Even worse, after bringing this to an Amazon rep's attention several months ago, they have done NOTHING to change the seller's listing.

I'm thrilled I finally bought this ice maker and can't believe it took me a decade to do so. Installation was easy. Hardest part was deciphering exactly where the leveling screw went. I finally decided, correctly, that I needed to use the self threading machine screw to screw it into one of the holes in the bottom of the ice maker. It wasn't hard but I wanted to make sure I didn't put it in the wrong spot and wind up damaging the ice maker.

I didn't realize that I would need to purchase a connection kit to connect the water supply to the valve at the bottom of the refrigerator. Not a big deal. Quick trip to lowes and I was in business. Once connected it started making making it's first batch of ice after 20 min or so. I was in heaven! I actually sat watching the ice maker for several minutes. In the 48 hours it's been installed we have a full bucket of ice. No issues with funny tasting ice, small cubes, slow ice production, etc.

The glass was just the right size. I was afraid since when I measured the crisper cover they were slightly different. However my gut said this was the right one since the description says approximately 24 x 16. The real measurements are 23.83 x 15.5. Really satisfied with it and my crisper cover looks like new as if nothing ever happened.

Was pleased to find this product at Costco for just over $500; seemed a good value. Has been much noisier than expected. I had shopped around for a decent wine cooler. Target, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Lowes, Sam's, online, you name it. I did not want to spend $1000.00 on a 50 bottle cooler, but all of the products at the aforementioned places were cheaply made. Not all had wire racks and the ones that did slid out like an oven shelf. All of the wood grain trim items had plastic shelves. This item has wire racks that slide out on fully extendable ball-bearing glides with real wood facing. I think it will hold a full 50 bottles too. It is slightly noisy especially compared to my GE Profile kitchen appliances. Probably as loud as a bathroom vent. Also, keep in mind it is single zone. I think it is overpriced at $1000.00 because I was able to find this product at my Costco Warehouse for less than $500.00. $500.00 it is a steal, $700.00 good buy, $1000.00 plus shipping I would keep looking.

I have a VT-60 which I spent almost $700 for and which died within 2 years. There were no authorized repair places within 120 miles for years 3 and 4. Finally, one showed up within 70 miles. I took my wine cooler there and they didn't even know what a Vinotemp wine refrigerator was. Anyway, they told me I had to order a relay switch in order for them to determine what was wrong with the refrigerator. I have been waiting about 3 months for the relay switch and Vinotemp moved the estimated ship date of the part another 2 weeks again. The customer service representative that I spoke to about this new delay was marginally rude. I purchased a small "normal" refrigerator for my game room for less than $200 and it has run well for almost 4 years. There is something incredibly wrong with the Vinotemp business model which apparently does not include a quality system nor inventory control.

I too bought this model at Costco for 500. Not only was it really loud (I'm glad it was not located in my kitchen) but the compressor DIED after less than 3 years. The technician that came said labor by itself would be $300 and the cost of the compressor would make it more expensive than buy a new one!!! I am very dissatisfied with Vinotemp and other reviews show I am not the only one. I DO NOT recommend to buy any model from them, unless you want to buy a new wine cellar every 3 years...

Kitchenaid refers to this as a "dual temperature zone" wine cellar. It is not. I've had mine running for a few days and the difference between the upper and lower zone has never been more than 3 degrees. So either I keep my white wine's too warm, or my red's too cold.

Also, the racks aren't deep enough to fit certain types of bottles, and I'm not talking about rare shapes, but mainstream 750ml bottles.

With the temperature control dial set to maximum cooling, and the ambient room temperature at 67 F, the coldest temperature inside the (empty) unit is 56 F after waiting 48 hours. There is no relationship between the temperature control knob and the interior temperature. The appliance store is telling us that this is somehow normal but we're asking the builder to bring the unit back to the store.
