We received this refrigerator yesterday and it has a really loud hum when it's running. I plan to contact frigidaire and see if that is common or if there is something wrong with it. It's very annoying.

The Good:

The materials are excellent quality. The device has space for six vials of insulin which is plenty. It is March and I haven't used the device in hot weather, but the insulin has been kept cool. The operative word is cool not cold. Ambient temperatures are in high 60's and insulin is at mid-50's temperature. I wonder whether it will work in hot weather.

The power supply will work worldwide, and there is an adapter that runs in an automotive cigar lighter socket.

The Bad:

The device is noisy. I can't sleep with it in the room. It is really noisy. And it never shuts off. It runs 24 hours a day no matter what the external temperature. The device is rated at 15 Watts. This is a lot of power for so little cooling.

The Ugly:

The plastic and construction is good quality, but it looks like an expensive coffin. Somebody has a sense of (sick) humor and flaunts that diabetics will die early. The designers of this device don't want their customers to forget it.

The first one I ordered the heaters were too short. Serves me right for going by a picture. The part number for the smaller version ends in 442. The larger one (No doubt for a 25 Cu.Ft refrigerator) ends in 443. It pays to measure and check sizes. I first replaced the defrost timer which is what usually fails. When the timer didn't fix the defrost I found it was the heaters that were defective. Replacement on my GE refrigerator was easy. First, turn the cold control to OFF. Don't disconnect the wall plug as you will want the freezer light to be working. After removing the shelves and drawers in the freezer, five Phillips screws remove the rear panel. You will probably find the cooling coils heavily iced. I put a small electric heater on the freezer floor and closed the door. Thirty minutes later the ice was gone but the drain pan underneath was overflowing. What a mess! Notice how the heater wires are dressed so you can dress the new wires the same way lest they get pinched behind the panel. Remove the two screws holding each heater and unplug the connector. Install the replacement heaters and dress the wires exactly like the originals were. Plug in the connector making sure the wires are not in contact with the light bulb. Make sure the edge seals are on the panel correctly and install the panel, the shelves and the drawers and turn the cold control back to it's usual setting. Buying the defrost heaters and timer from Amazon saved me more then $100.00 over prices at our local parts supplier. By installing the parts myself I figure I saved $200.00 over paying for a service call. Give it a try. All you really need is a Phillips screw driver and you can't really make it any worse.

First off, shipping was fast and the Old Dominion Freight Line driver was very helpful, courteous and exceeded all my expectations. Packaging had some minor damage and he helped me to unpack and inspect. All appeared O.K. with one small exception, "A bent lower frame on right side lower back. Was not a show stopper and I signed off on it. As for the quality and build of this product I give it a 3 Star because the shelving is week and does not slide out smoothly when loaded. The bottom shelf is not secured and extreme caution must be used when sliding out with bottles on it. It tipped down and dumped 11 bottles on the floor, the only thing saving the day and over $275.00 in wine value was a rug I had placed on the floor in front of the cooler, not happy with this and will be looking for a solution. Total volume is not 155 bottles but more like 130 :-( , and the shelves are much to close together damaging labels when sliding shelving in and out so I set the bottles on their side , labels facing to the right or left to protect them. Lastly, I also purchased a Edgestar 32 bottle dbl door cooler and must say that it is a much better cooler and maintains the temps right on the settings and no fluctuations. I used special refer temp gauges to test the built in displays and they are dead on, I am very happy! This so called 155 bottle unit is way off and temps fluctuate 4 to 5 degrees each way from settings. This unit was supposed to be a much better compressor operated type cooler, not so. For over all cooling I rate it at a 2 Star, not reliable and 2 stars would be a high rating too! I may just sell this one and buy 3 more of the Edgestar Mod. TWR325ESS 32 BOTTLE THERMOELECTRIC units, "This little 32 bottle unit works great, holds the temp settings spot on and it looks great too!! Will add to this later on after the 155 bottle unit is in operation for 30 more days or so... that is if I keep it that long!!

We've done a lot of research prior to getting this one . It had good reviews, and now 2 years using it we are absolutely satisfied they were all true. The design is great: spacious and functional at the same time. All fixtures are sturdy and high quality (compared to similar models by other brands that look the same but are really flimsy using plastic instead of glass for shelves). Interior design is very convenientwe find the retractable and folding shelves are very useful. The water quality is fantastic the filter is excellent, and the dispenser design is clean and efficient. The best is that we got it the very last moment at the Sears on-line special for 1535 including tax and installation, but it is still a great deal even at the current rate . We had to wait a moth for delivery, but it was worth it.

I love the layout of this refrigerator. However, it has had problems. Thankfully we bought the extended warranty and had to use it twice. Our neighbor next door bought the same one a year after us and is also having problems. Water drips down the inside back of the refrigerator and freezes your deli drawer closed. My neighbor is not only having that problem but her ice maker is intermittent. If you love the inside of this refrigerator and have to have it make sure you get an extended warranty because you will be using it!!!

Its very quiet, and sleek, and so far everything is at least WORKING....with the exception of the freezing issue and the water line.

I purchased this refrigerator for my office to store vaccines (medical clinic setting,) I found out that it didn't keep temperatures in the desirable range both in the freezer and the refrigerator. I purchased this item under duress; my Whirlpool 25 cubic foot side-by-side refrigerator/freezer wouldn't cool/freeze. I reviewed the instructions carefully and managed the installation of the parts in maybe 20 minutes. Now, my refrigerator/freezer is cooling down just as it should, and I feel very secure about the installation and the parts. The parts were a perfect fit, and appeared to be Whirlpool-specific (matching the compressor).

Amazon never fails me, even in and perhaps even especially in times of duress! I spent a little time educating myself around this project, matched my needs to the Amazon offerings and it worked like a charm!

My Vinotemp experience:

On July 10th 2012 I ordered a Vinotemp beverage cooler and it arrived in not working order I sent the cooler back to Amazon.com and they mailed me another one on July 16th 2012. I did not hook the cooler up until the later part of September since this was for a new kitchen build. I used the cooler to store water and beverages in my kitchen Island. From the first week I noticed the unit was not cooling well and had trouble maintaining a suitable temperature for my beverages it cooled between 45 to 50 degree's which is a warm soda. The unit later started to build condensation on the back and the cooling continued to worsen. I then noticed that ice was building up inside the unit. I put a towel down on the floor and inside the unit as soon as I noticed the ice building up in the back of the unit, in case it leaked out. I then inspected my floor and noticed damage to laminate. I called vinotemp and this is the start of the issues (amazon.com said manufactures has to deal with it over 30 days).

Called Paul at Vinotemp reported issues:

Repairman came out 10/24 noticed unit broke needed to take unit out of counter he stated the unit would not easily come out and needed me to take it out. Funny since it is a counter unit.

Took unit out called vinotemp to reschedule

10/26 repairman scheduled to come out. NO Show no call. Paid an employee to wait on him.

Called Vinotemp apologized

10/30 repairman came out. Diagnosed unit broke. Door failed to shut properly allowing unit to leak on floor. Unit un repairable. (See attached notice from Vinotemp repairman stating unit broke)

Called Vinotemp and emailed vinotemp.

Wanted refund did not want a new unit, needed this handle asap since I had 20+ people coming over for thanksgiving to see my new house.

Vinotemp mailed a new unit even tho I did not want one. Paul at Vinotemp asked me to send photos of floor damage and to try new unit.

Installed new unit before Thanksgiving, had contractor replace floor for $945.00 dollars.

About the unit

The unit fails to keep drinks cold but it does keep them cool. The temp is around 42-44 degrees on average. Unit claims to cool to 40 but it will not hold the temp. Fridges cool to 35 to 37 for example and produce cold beverages. Unit works at best marginally and at worst will ruin your kitchen, as was my case.

Later Vinotemp responds saying they will not pay for the floor and that they will also not take back the unit.

The unit cost me $869 dollars the damage it can cause to my floor is at least $945.00 as proven from the last episode. Vinotemp fails to accept responsibly for the damage to my floors which the repairman told me was the case.

The message in short is do not buy a Vinotemp if the floor or counters it is near is not water proof and if you buy this unit understand that it will not cool to 40 degrees and your beverages will likely be warm. If you have an issue with the product they do warranty it but I called over a dozen times and still did not get a good resolution.

In short I will never purchase anything from Vinotemp because if it ruins your property they don't care and will waste your time to resolve the issue.

My decision for a compact refrigerator was a double door design. Separate freezer and refrigerator.

I highly recommend this product and this brand (Air Purifiers USA). After ordering the product, I contacted the manufacture (via the email confirmation details), and asked about the color options. White on white vs. Stainless on black. (I read them on the product description page, but was not able to make the selection during checkout). The gentlemen suggested putting the order on hold for 2 hours, he then contacted the warehouse, determined availability, and called me back and I selected Stainless on black. The order arrived in 3 days using regular shipping and the box was very well packaged. In fact, the original packing carton was inserted into a slightly larger carton (with good padding) and the entire packing was first rate.

The refrigerator is a thing of beauty. A full size look in a compact size unit. Stainless front with black box. The top has a convenient molded tray, designed to be used as a 'spill proof' counter top. The topside is large enough to hold coffee maker, cups, etc. and will never scratch.

Time will tell if this unit will perform as expected. My confidence is high and I am a very pleased customer.

I bought a slightly different model 1 year ago. It has worked superbly all the time. So, why do I bother to write the review NOW ? Because of Customer Support. I needed to move the fridge to another location, and re-hung the doors from hinges-on-the-right (the way it came from the factory) to hinges-on-the-left. When I was done, the freezer door was slightly misaligned and did not close properly. I called their 800 number; it is busy much of the time (it is either busy, or a person answers, no waiting), but it was worth retrying. When I got through to a person, HE ACTUALLY WALKED ME THROUGH THE STEPS NEEDED TO FIX THE PROBLEM on the phone; no charge, no hassle (and he spoke flawless American English, as opposed to me). After lots of research, I decided to get a fridge with separate freezer and refrigerator components because I read that having a freezer inside the fridge compartment will make either the fridge too cold or too warm depending on how you dial the setting. This fridge got compliments for its looks in my office, and works great! So quiet, I don't notice it's there! The freezer freezes ice cubes and the refrigerator keeps my food cold. The dial was easily set so that the fridge is not warm but not so cold that it freezes the food. I was even impressed that the dial could be set so cold that my food got frozen in the fridge section!

We have a small tasting room therefore we did not have much choice as of different units of different sizes. I am not entierly satisfied with the unit. For a smaller room the unit is way too noisy in my opinion. There are several other things I am missing or don't like such as:

No temperature control. The unit has two factory temp settings one for day and one for night and that's it.

When in day mode the fan of the unit runs constantly, which contributes to the loudness & noise.

The night mode would be fine for us even during the day, especially as in night mode the fan does not run and the compressor would still will maintain the preset night temp. However once you open one of the doors during night mode the unit switches to day mode again.

All in all I am not entirely satisfied, but I could not find an alternative unit. It would be nice to have a unit, which would allow to adjust or override the preset factory settings & modes. At this stage the unit operates at the mercy of the factory presets...

I bought this after my first dorm fridge of the semester crapped out. I had a lot of problems with ordering and delivery of this product, but it was due to the company; the item itself is perfectly fine. It is virtually the same as other 2-door refrigerator/freezers of more recognizable names such as Frigidaire. I had personally never heard of Haier before, but the fridge does its job pretty well. A middle setting is enough to make frost form in freezer and keep milk plenty cold. Heat is expelled out of the sides, so don't put it in a close-fitted cubby even if it is convenient. That probably contributed to the death of my first fridge. Straight out of the box, the inside of the fridge/freezer smelled strongly of plastic, and even after two baking soda washes still smelled of plastic, though much less strongly. Weeks later, the smell is gradually fading.

It may be working for you, and maybe by chance it is working for those that gave it 4 or 5 stars, but like another reviewer here, mine stopped working. But for me, TWICE, on two separate fridges of the same model. Don't take the chance. Just don't.

Very very doubtful but I will be requesting Haier reimburse me for all my ruined food this time.

The fridge works well. Definitely does what it's expected to. It's cold enough to cause ice build up in the fridge on the medium coldness setting. It can be a little loud at times, particularly when it must expel heat on the sides when it needs to significantly drop the temperature, but other than that, no complaints.

I pruchased the Aquafreah WF295 to replace a UKF8001, it did not fit. It seems that the center hole in the filter is not deep enough, I tried several times, and even removed the rubber washer in the bottom of the hole, it still would not seat properly. I called the manufacturer, tech service said it was a direct replcement, but if it still doesn't fit, take it back to the distributor, and the distributer states to call the manufacturer.

Installed 2 days ago and we're still tasting plastic/metallic water. I guess I should have known when I saw the comparable price to known US brands that this was just one more Chinese piece of crap product. Amazon should "man up" and place a country of manufacture on EVERY product so we can make an informed decision. Wouldn't surprise me if the lead they took out of baby toys over the past 2-3 years is in these filters. Save your money and your taste buds. BTW: I've owned my refrigerator for 5 years and NEVER had an issue with Pure Clean II, so don't tell me to "flush the system" (which I have subsequently done).
