Oransi Ionic Fridge Air Purifier

Oransi Ionic Fridge Air PurifierThe Oransi fridge air purifier works using a built in micro CPU that controls the purification cycle in the fridge. That sound impressive right! Especially since I have always used baking soda to help eliminate odors in the fridge. I was enthusiastic about trying this system. It uses two AA batteries that lasts for about 60 days. But I changed them to rechargeables. There is no filter to change and it's small enough to fit on the back of the shelf and not get in the way. Overall it works as promised. I put an onion on a plate and placed it in the refrigerator. It took about 2 hours and then the odor was diminished quite a bit. It did not eliminate the odor immediately but in a few hours it was gone! This product was provided to me in exchange for an honest review.Copyright© KatherinesCorner.com-for Amazon.com

When I received this I was surprised at how small this air purifier actually was. I took it out of the box and literally could hold it in the palm of my hand. I read the instructions and placed 2 AA batteries in it and pushed the on button. It immediately made a very soft whirring sound...if you don't listen for it you won't really be able to hear it. It has a nice LED indicator light that shows you the product is working. It lights up when initially turned on and then when ever the air purifier cycles on again after being dormant it lights up briefly again. I liked how easy it was to install the batteries and turn it on.

It was not too hard to find a nice spot to place the air purifier in my fridge as it is very small and can fit a bunch of different places. I did find that I liked to have it up front on the shelf or in the door. Since it is so small I could see it getting lost in the back of my fridge somewhere so I try not to have anything in front of it. Also, I found that if I had something in front that the button on the front of the air purifier could be easily bumped, turning the whole unit off.

My fridge initially smelled of onions and roasted garlic from the leftovers we also had in containers overnight in the refrigerator. After a couple of hours with the Oransi Fridge Air Purifier inside my fridge with the door shut I opened it to check the status. All I could smell was very pleasant fresh air. I was thoroughly impressed that this tiny air purifier could work so well.

Not only does it get rid of the odor, but it also is supposed to keep your produce fresher longer. I am going to love saving money on my grocery bill by not having to throw away food that would have spoiled without this awesome little device. I am so very glad I have it and overall it is very cost effective. The unit is initially $39 (on sale right now for $29!!), the batteries for this only costs an average of $1 a month and it comes with a year warranty.

Works great on keeping the fridge fresh just like advertised. Glad I purchased this instead of using just baking power.

Haier HNDE03VS 3.3-Cubic Foot 2 Door Refrigerator/Freezer, Black Cabinet VCM Door

Haier HNDE03VS 3.3-Cubic Foot 2 Door Refrigerator/Freezer, Black Cabinet VCM Door
  • Separate true-freezer compartment
  • Dispense-a-can storage bin fits up to 6 cans
  • 2 full-width glass shelves (includes crisper cover)
  • Accommodates 2 Liter and Tall Bottles
  • 2 refrigerator door shelves

I bought this after my first dorm fridge of the semester crapped out. I had a lot of problems with ordering and delivery of this product, but it was due to the company; the item itself is perfectly fine. It is virtually the same as other 2-door refrigerator/freezers of more recognizable names such as Frigidaire. I had personally never heard of Haier before, but the fridge does its job pretty well. A middle setting is enough to make frost form in freezer and keep milk plenty cold. Heat is expelled out of the sides, so don't put it in a close-fitted cubby even if it is convenient. That probably contributed to the death of my first fridge. Straight out of the box, the inside of the fridge/freezer smelled strongly of plastic, and even after two baking soda washes still smelled of plastic, though much less strongly. Weeks later, the smell is gradually fading.

So I received this fridge for Christmas, since I am in the middle of redoing the kitchen I needed something I could fit in the living room that was small, could hold refreshments and frozen meals, snacks, etc. It worked well for maybe a month. Then, it started making a very irritating high pitched noise... well, within two days it stopped working.

We had to go back, return it, and get a new one. We got the same model since we thought maybe it was a fluke.

4 weeks later I started hearing the high pitched noise of death again and now THIS one is broken. I kept it on 5 out of 7 on the temp scale, did not overcrowd it, and now I have gone through TWO fridge fulls of rotted food (I am the most appalled at the ruined load of Chobani I had JUST purchased)

It may be working for you, and maybe by chance it is working for those that gave it 4 or 5 stars, but like another reviewer here, mine stopped working. But for me, TWICE, on two separate fridges of the same model. Don't take the chance. Just don't.

Very very doubtful but I will be requesting Haier reimburse me for all my ruined food this time.

The fridge works well. Definitely does what it's expected to. It's cold enough to cause ice build up in the fridge on the medium coldness setting. It can be a little loud at times, particularly when it must expel heat on the sides when it needs to significantly drop the temperature, but other than that, no complaints.

The refrigerator worked seamlessly for two weeks...and then one day it just didn't. I have plugged it up to a surge protector and into the wall. I have also changed the temperature, but still nothing. When it did work, it kept my food very cold, so cold that I had to turn it down. But now, the food that was in there is rotten and in the garbage.

Thank you Haier products.

Maytag MFI2569YEW

Maytag MFI2569YEW
  • Maytag
  • Maytag MFI2569YEW 249 cu ft French Door Refrigerator with Spill Catcher Glass Shelves Quad Cool System WideNFresh Deli Drawer and External Ice Water Dispenser White
  • MFI2569YEW
  • Maytag - MFI2569YEW

We got this on sale at Best Buy at $1,198 including home delivery. I would say even at $1398 which seems to be the average non-discounted price, we will still buy it.

If you are looking for an inexpensive french door fridge, this is the ticket. Although it's the cheapest among the french door units out there, this fridge does not skimp on functionalities.

PROS:

GREAT LOOKING the stainless steel version we got is beautiful. Fit and finish is nice. Better than a high end GE Profile one we had in our old house.

Spacious both top and bottom section have lots of room

The French Door provide very wide and open access to the fridge section

The Top Drawer in the Bottom Freezer has wheels/gears on it which makes it easier & smoother to roll in and out. Some older Maytag/Whirlpool/Kitchenaid models do not have this and are much harder to open/close. Those older units are simply just rails on slots. My in-laws has a higher end Kitchenaid and their top drawer in the bottom freeze are really difficult to operate.

Feature Rich: Even it is the most inexpensive french door among all brands, it does not skimp on features: water/ice dispenser, humidity control, outside temp display/control, etc.

The water filter is very high capacity (someone told me 750 gallons). The flow rate is great, much better than the older Maytag Plus that it replaced.

The water dispense looks great. The lights are LED and have a blueish tint. Looks very cool!

Tall bottles go into both left and right door shelves

CONS:

The stainless steel seems easy to dent. The delivery guys leaned the fridge on the counter just a bit, and it resulted in a small dent. However, Maytag was great and they are sending a replacement door and a service man has followed up already to arrange the installation

Be careful catching the ice. The ice cubes easily escape the cup. There is a certain technique to it but we trained ourselves quickly.

SURPRISE:

Fridge magnets still work! We thought magnets doesn't work on stainless steel but they seem to still work on this fridge's front doors. That is great! Note that the surface is still definitely stainless steel and not "stainless look" like the LG. I have no idea why the fridge magnet works. May be they just have a think shell of stainless steel over metal... But, this is a big plus for me. I was actually researching how to stick pictures and stuff on stainless fridge, and now I don't need such solution.

Reliability:

We did tons of research and found that this fridge model has a lot of great reviews on a site call viewpoints.com.

The primary alternative at this price range would be the LG and Samsung french doors. Both are around $1400-1500 and neither one includes gas dispenser. The LG reviews are horrible and it has poor reliability records. The Samsung is more expensive with no water/ice dispenser.

Buy Maytag MFI2569YEW Now

We purchased this fridge in 2011 on a rebate special, we didn't think we could afford french doors with a bottom freezer but sure enough, it was a steal. We have had great success with it, and it works beautifully. No weird quirks, no funky refrigeration issues, it just works. The only complaint is the ice maker, it is low capacity and it doesn't refill very quickly. If this one issue could be fixed, this would be the perfect value fridge for french doors and a bottom freeze (which typically runs much higher cost wise).

Monster Trucks MT10119 Adjustable Refrigerator Cover

Monster Trucks MT10119 Adjustable Refrigerator CoverIt doesn't cover the fridge like in the picture. The cover doesn't fully reach around the fridge most of the time on standard refrigerators and leaves the back exposed. The Velcro straps are a joke, they barely reach each other and always break apart because they are holding on together by a small length. I had to take this to a tailor and alter it so it would actually be useful.

Started using these when moving and storing customers refrigerators during construction projects. Works well, made well but this is not a one size fits all product. It may not fit properly on larger units. Be sure to measure your unit before purchasing.

Danby DCR34W 3.2-Cubic Foot Compact Refrigerator with Freezer, WhiteDanby DCR3

Danby DCR34W 3.2-Cubic Foot Compact Refrigerator with Freezer, White
  • 3.2-cubic foot counter-height refrigerator with freezer; available in white or black
  • Mechanical thermostat and no-hassle push-button defrost
  • Second generation CanStor beverage dispenser, 2-1/2 wire shelves, egg storage, and adjustable door shelving
  • Integrated door handle; reversible door swing; scratch-resistant top; smooth back design
  • Measures 17-5/8 inches wide by 18-5/8 inches deep by 32-15/16 inches high

I bought this refrigerator for my son to take with him to college and it ended up being a terrific choice. We were limited to less than 4.5 cu. feet, so in going lower than that, I thought this would end up being pretty small. Unboxed however, it was larger than I expected and bigger than the picture would lead you to believe; I'm 5'7" and this comes nearly up to my hip.

I purchased the black, and the entire refrigerator outer surface is a matte, slightly textured sort of fingerprint-proof finish that wipes clean very easily.

This was surprisingly quiet; having checked out models in our local appliance stores and finding them all annoyingly loud, I didn't think I could do any worse picking one online. This was a very pleasant surprise. It was whisper quiet on startup and when it kicked in each time the cooling cycle started, it barely even registered. There was no vibration, even when things started getting stacked on top (a coffee maker and the usual cups and junk).

The shelf levels are pretty short, non-moveable and not practical for anything other than snack and leftover storage use, which is exactly what my son's dorm use happens to be. The refrigerator comes with a clear plastic tray with holes for keeping eggs from rolling around and a miniscule (useless) ice cube tray. The freezer compartment is very tiny and I can't even imagine what you could fit in there beyond a handful of Popsicles, although it got nice and cold even on the mid-cool setting.

Just one word of warning: my unit came undamaged, and I can't speak for all shippers' policies, but be aware that if your unit comes in its original manufacturer's box, check it out immediately. There is absolutely no packing inside the box besides a thin top and bottom piece of styrofoam. I took the top piece out to unbox it and to my horror, found there was nothing else, that the box was actually the size of the refrigerator.

Got the black fridge for my office and love it! I guess my complaints would be that at times it can be a tad loud and since I do not drink soda, the soda slot is lost real estate (the bars are not removable). Overall I like it a lot and am happy with the purchase.

I got the black fridge, and it works great. I mistakenly ordered the white one, contacted the seller, and my order was changed without a problem. I have it set up in my office. It is very quiet, it fits a lot of items for it's size, and I love the can holder! Now I'm stocking up on beverages. Wooo hoooo! A++++

We've had this compact or mini fridge for six months or so. It has turned out to be a very useful unit at a modest cost. We keep it next to our computers in our "office" area. We use it mostly for pop, fruit drinks, etc. Also, I store my camera film in the freezer compartment. It is truly self defrosting, quiet, holds a lot of beverages, and makes a fair auxiliary work table from time to time.

I sure recommend it.

A dent on the back edge of the refrigerator and the plastic strip on the top is cracked but it is difficult for me to return because it is too heavy for me. Also I don't know if the shipping charges are refundable. There is no styrofoam at the edges to protect the body of the refrigerator.

  • 21.9 Cu. Ft. Total Capacity

Very happy with this refrigerator. We had only 30" of space, wanted the freezer on the bottom, and wanted black sides. Stainless ranges and microhoods are stainless and black, so why are so many appliance companies making stainless refrigerators with grey sides? Not a problem if the sides don't show, but a big problem if they do!

I do think it should come with one more door bin, which we just ended up ordering separately. It comes with the following storage pieces for inside of the door: 1 full-width bin, 3 half-width bins, and 1 half-width bin with a clear swivel cover. We ordered an additional half-width bin.

Had shopped around local retailers and viewed on line many makes and models. did a lot of research reviewing reviews. certain brands in some sizes had issues with a wide variety of problems. my goal was to find the best product at the best price. need a reversible door or one that swings from left to right. wanted a freezer drawer not door. the door type are roomier in the freezer compartment but not my idea of fun to sit on the floor and dig around in a pull out bin I found it a bit to awkward. a little disappointed that it did not come with an ice maker. but it was easy to install. unit is ice maker ready. had not really planed on getting the stainless steel model but it was not outrageous so I splurged the extra $100. very happy with purchase and glad I took the time to research.

I like this refrigerator a lot. However, if I had read about it more closely, I would have realized that it does not have an ice maker or a water filter. I ended up buying a separate ice maker which didn't cost a lot, but I had to pay a plumber to install it. The freezer isn't that big, but it works for us. And, the only other complaint I have is that the refrigerator really needs an additional door compartment (there is space, but not enough compartments).

Same review as posted for white fridge:

I had an Amana for over 20 years with no problems but it was very rusty and dirty so I decided

to replace. The plastic piece between the bins broke and the replacement went also.

In little under 2 years I went to unplug to clean underneath and behind the fridge and the thermostat went immediately.

Between waiting for the repair guy and now a replacement part it is going on two weeks and I have had to discard

food. I would recommend unplugging the refrigerator while the warranty is

in effect to see if you too see a correlation between that

and the demise of the thermostat! I have been led to believe that appliances do

not last long (under 5 years?) due to the computerized energy-efficient "gadgets" that are now used.

I think there is also built-in obsolescence. Good luck with your appliances.

Just to add: The freezer bottom fills with water as the water is not draining properly (drain-pipe iced?)

and then the water freezes and eventually starts to flow over onto my kitchen floor. From what I have researched I can

defrost or use a hairdryer on the drain or pour hot water down. I chop away at the ice periodically.

What a nightmare this fridge is.

Save 14% Off

Beware of lack of replacement parts. Amana stops making replacement parts 5 years after the model comes out. Parts (shelves, drawers, etc) are impossible to obtain, thus making large sections of the refrigerator obsolete before its time. Would never buy another Amana product.

Whirlpool 8212560 Anti-Tip Side Mount Kit

Whirlpool 8212560 Anti-Tip Side Mount KitI just installed a Maytag dishwasher in my new kitchen. The instructions tell you to use this bracket when installing with a granite or Corian counter top. Looking at the picture I realized they don't look alot different from the top mounting brackets. I looked at the dishwasher sides and it has the same slots as on top. I installed the top brackets in the side slots, slid the dishwasher in and drove in the screws. One bracket went beyond the cabinet and was visible on the outside. I cut it flush with the cabinet and BINGO!. Dishwasher secured. Try this before getting the brackets here. May be a waste of time and money...

Kit came as advertised. Just wished they threw these in with the rest of the dishwasher. However, these side brackets fastened easily to the cabinet sides and hold our dishwasher rock-solid in place.

Can anybody post pictures of their insalled side brackets? I JUST dont get it. I can see that you bend the back tabs to sercure to tub but then it looks like in the diagram the its bent again to go around the front of the cabinet. It doesnt say in the instructions to make that second bend.

THANK YOU.

I used an under counter adhesive bracket to secure the dishwasher to a granite countertop. The brackets came loose over a short time. These brackets should be standard in every dishwasher kit when installing with granite or other hard surface counter top. Brackets did what they should do. They prevent the dishwasher from tipping with the door open.

Want Whirlpool 8212560 Anti-Tip Side Mount Kit Discount?

The mounting kit worked as well as it is supposed to but getting there was difficult. These are for cupboards that have granite countertops and mount on the side walls of the cupboard to keep the dishwasher from falling out. The diagrams were practically useless and we ended up guessing on how they should be attached. They work great but should have been included in the price of the dishwasher as so many houses now have granite or marble counters. Great shipping.

Avanti WC681BG2 24 Freestanding Wine Cooler 166-Bottle Capacity

Avanti WC681BG2 24 Freestanding Wine Cooler 166-Bottle Capacity

  • One touch dual function electronic display helps you monitor the temperature
  • Automatically defrosting unit means you won?t have to worry about cleaning out any ice
  • Interior cavity LED lighting system gives your collection a soft glow, and can be turned on or off
  • Reversible tempered double-glass door keeps bottles insulated

The cooler worked well for 3 years; however after 2 repair attempts it will become a storage rack. Parts are difficult to find since this is a China product. I will replace with a smaller better quality cooler. Even though the price is great, I recommend investing in a better quality unit.

We liked the features, we liked the price. It is less than 3 years old and now needs considerable repair and it seems like it will be the compressor. Total repair estimated at about half the original purchase price. The constant cycling, about every 20-30 sec from the get-go apparently is "planned" according to a repair person we had come out within 60 days and it was a silent on-off cycle at all. We will see whether the repairs work, or we, too will have a very large piece of junk.

Thought I was getting a good deal when purchased. Unit worked fine for 2 years and stopped cooling. Found out not many folks work on these coolers but Avanti had one serviceman in my area to recommend. Paid about half of the original cost of the unit to get it "repaired." A year later, stopped cooling again. Service company came back, refilled with freon. 10 months later stopped cooling again. Now being told compressor needs replacing. If have done, will have more invested in repairs than the cost of unit. Avanti customer service has a lot of reasons they can't do anything but not many to stand behind product. I appreciate their free parts but the hourly service rate (plus freon, etc) is a killer. Since I am not real confident replacing the compressor will solve the problem, think I'll cut my losses and start looking for a better quality cooler.

I purchased this single temperature zone wine cellar almost 2 years ago, in August 2011. It shipped by common carrier, and delivery was a hassle. I don't blame the seller, the trucking company was tricky to deal with. The price, including shipping was about $1,000.00, and I have not seen anyone sell anything like this item for much less. I opted for the single temperature zone because, after reading a number of reviews, concluded that the dual zone feature was not really effective. To accomplish nearly the same thing, I store sparkling and white wines on the bottom and move them to a regular refrigerator a few hours before serving. It is as noisy as any refrigerator might be, which is to say that you don't notice it unless you are paying attention to it. I happen to have it in my home office and have spent many long hours sitting just 3 feet away without notice that it was running at all. My cellar has performed very well since installation it does what it is supposed to do and what I expect it to do. Here are the negatives, all of which are minor in my mind: The internal light does not reach the lower shelves, but room lighting makes up for that. The shelves are spaced close together to maximize storage capacity, and bottles get their labels scraped as you put them in, take them out, or when you slide the shelves out. A significant part of the capacity for each shelf lies behind the front row of storage and bottles stored behind the front row will not be visible without sliding the shelf out. The door is reversible (opens to the right or to the left), but you have to call the manufacturer for help to accomplish the switch still on my "to do" list. I would recommend this product if you need a wine cellar with this capacity.

LG LT500P Vertical Refrigerator Water Filter, 1-Pack

LG LT500P Vertical Refrigerator Water Filter, 1-PackI have ordered from this exact page before and always received the pictured, CUNO water filter (made by 3M). This time a much cheaper 'bargain' filter was substituted...although at the full $35 price. This is what you'd get if you ordered one of the $20 something bargain filters. Beware...Potential Dynamix LLC or Direct Super Center via Amazon Fulfillment is sending out a different filter than pictured! A vastly inferior product.

Plus, the filter they sent is only good for 300 gallons, not the 500 gallons the filter on this page is rated for.

I ordered two LG filters by Cuno as was originally in our LG refrigerator but received two filters for Kenmore refrigerators by a different manufacturer. They arrived quickly and in good order. They seem to be well made, are very similar to the original and are rated for 500 gallons so I kept them. It has been a few weeks since installation and the water is clear and odorless so the filter seems to be effective. What I am not entirely satisfied with is the fact that I received a substitution by a different maker than what was described and pictured and I have to assume are of similar quality.

We have public water that's mildly chlorinated. This filter removed all traces of chlorine taste and that somewhat "fishy" taste from summer algae blooms for over a year. In fact, it was the best tasting water I'd had in 30 years!

These filters are meant to last 6 months or so but for us delivered good water for over a year (could be we don't drink as much water as average families).

Easy to install. Not easy to find except on line. Expensive but worth it.

I always do my due diligence when purchasing any product. We completely remodeled our kitchen last year and specifically built a spot for a wine fridge. My criterion for the fridge was: built-in, quite, reliable, shelves capable of fitting larger bottles, and memory for settings.

We received the unit in mid-April. I unpacked the until and let it sit in our kitchen for 36 hours to allow the oil in the unit to settle. I then installed the unit in the built-in place and set the temperature. The first 2 months the unit worked without significant issue. I would certainly not call it quite but it was not horrible. It did not drowned out the living room TV, but if the TV is off you could certainly tell the fridge was running.

The trouble began in month 3. We noticed the unit rattled. I move the unit out of the area and ensured the bolts were all tight and the motor area was clean. The issue went away. Then we have a power outage. Once it was back on the unit did NOT go back to its previous settings. I was highly disappointed in this result.

In August we started to see the unit fail. The temperate in the unit would not remain where we set it. A setting of 45 only dropped the temperature down to 60. I though the circuitry might need to be reset, so I turned the unit off and unplugged it. I then set it up again out side of the built in area. The unit worked fine outside of the cabinet. I then took measurements to make sure we had proper clearance all around the unit. It did. I then slid the unit half way into its spot. The temperate went up from 45 to 55.

I then contacted Edgestar support. I was told to ensure the coils were cleaned. To do this I emptied the unit and put it on its back after unplugging it. Then i wiped down the coils which were not dirty at all. I again allowed the unit to settle for 36 hours. After plugging it in it returned to 45 degrees outside the cabinet. Push it into place and the temperature shot up to 60.

I contacted Edgestar again and I was told I'd have to ship the unit to their warehouse, pre-pay at least $70.00 to cover the first hour of labor cost, and pay to ship it back. I am VERY lucky though as their warehouse is in Austin, Tx, where I live. However, to two-way ship something of this size plus pay for labor, it would cost nearly 40% of a new unit. I asked if they provide information for local contractors and they stated they do not have recommendations.

The fact this unit has a 90 day labor warranty and I have to ship such a large appliance back to a warehouse is very disappointing. Given the reviews on BBB and around the internet, I would STRONGLY advise you NOT TO PURCHASE from this company and definitely DO NO PURCHASE this product.

We purchased this wine cooler to replace a Magic Chef MC44DZ. My Magic Chef worked great for 2 years then quit. After waiting for 4 months for a compressor part that was covered under warranty I paid $180 to have it installed. The unit was so loud you could hear it in every room of the house and it would not cool either zone. Several phone calls to MC customer service proved totally useless threw the unit away will never buy another MC product again and don't recommend them to anyone.

We searched and searched for wine coolers in this capacity and price range before we ran across one that met all our requirements: # of good reviews, quiet, freestanding/built-in, dual-zone. We purchased from Living Direct with a 5yr. warranty product arrived without issue and was well packed.

The quality of the unit is much better than what we had. The door is solid double-pane glass with sturdy stainless steel surround. The wine racks are pretty solid, but the other reviews that talk about larger bottles not fitting are accurate only a tall slender 750ML works perfect for front & back stacking (reason for 4 instead of 5 stars). If you don't have the unit totally full of wine this shouldn't be a huge problem. Unit hit perfect temperatures very quickly and runs very quiet. The blue lighting looks great at night doesn't quite reach all the way to the bottom, but there are lights @ the top and under the middle divider.

Would highly recommend this unit.

Update 1/2013

A few weeks back the unit quit cooling. No noises or indicators, just happened to see both temperatures ~ 77 degrees. Contacted RepairMaster to initiate "in-house" warranty that we paid $100 something for @ time of purchase. Two weeks later no phone call from anyone. Contacted RepairMaster again (very lengthy on-hold times) finally got to someone that said EdgeStar appliances were ONLY repaired @ the factory and they would not ship parts to local repairmen. Contacted EdgeStar technical support and confirmed with factory in Austin, TX that the unit would need to be sent back to them for repair. RepairMaster offered to cover freight and repair costs they also said I could try a local repair man and they would reimburse me for that. Contacted Living Direct whom I purchased the unit from and told them it was probably not a good idea to advertise/sell an in-home warranty on a product that per manufacturer can't be serviced in home. I decided to roll the dice and call a local repair service to look @ the unit since I was not interested in crating it up and shipping it off. Local repair man (Thank you H&H Appliance Lecompte, LA GREAT SERVICE) replaced a relay in about 30 mins and unit is back up and running. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will continue to work without issue.

Had I known that EdgeStar was a company that would NOT work with local repair companies to replace electronic boards, compressors, etc. especially on such a simple appliance, I would not have purchased this unit. RepairMaster could improve their hold times on the phone, but they came through in the end. Living Direct should be very clear to customers about warranty expectations on this product when selling it to other customers.

Still a little frustrated about bottles fitting in the unit, but the unit still looks good and is VERY quiet. Hope to get a few more years of service...

We thought we did enough research on Edgestar products. Boy, were we wrong. The unit started having difficulty about 6 months after we got it. It started making rattling noises, so my husband unplugged it for a couple of days. When we plugged it back in, it seemed to work fine without the noise. A few weeks later, it went out. We were in the middle of moving and just did not have the time to deal with it. Once we did, we called the customer service only to be told that it was out of warranty (which is only 90 days)and there was nothing they would do. We took it to a local appliance repairman and he said the compressor was bad and it was not worth getting a new one. So disappointed after spending $800 and only getting 6 months of good use out of it. I will never buy another Edgestar product again.

The shelves are so closely spaced that it is difficult to get the shelves in and out when full of wine bottles and to place and remove Bordeaux bottles. It is impossible to do the same with Burgundy bottles. If you don't mind scraping the labels off your bottles while struggling to get them in and out, then this might work for you. I consider it a big mistake for my needs unfortunately, it's mine now.

Bought this product a year ago and it no longer works. The warranty is terrible (90 days parts and labor/ 1 year parts only). If they truly made a good product the warranty would be at least 3 years. Do not buy this product.
