All in all, this is great, especially for the price. My only complaint would be the noise. It may be this particular filter, but when I get water from the fridge, it is louder; not bad or unbearable, just noticeably a little louder. The flow and the taste of the water seem about the same, so I don't know why this filter is causing more noise???

Replacement Evaporator Motor for Whirlpool, Sears, Kenmore W10189703

This item was purchased as an OEM part for the evaporator fan for an Amana series side-by-side refrigerator. It easily fit the space required for the fan except the ends penetrating the rubber mounting bushings were almost too large to fit into the mounting bracket hole. The grounding lug was located on the far left rather than on the right as shown in the photo in Amazon. The grounding cable removed from the older fan this was replacing was too short to reach the new lug. I reused the existing grounding lug that I removed from the old fan motor and mounted it under the right motor screw. After I mounted the fan onto the bracket, I found that the rotating shaft on which the fan is friction-fitted was too small for the fan blades that I was reinstalling on the assembly. I obtained a second fan motor that was identically labeled as the first and, lo, the shaft was the right size. So, be prepared to check the shaft on the new motor to see if it fits to the old ban blades before you install it into the bracket. If it doesn't, request a refund. You may be lucky the first time but I was not. The Amazon.com price was less than half that for a skimpier replacement fan motor that I could have purchased locall. With Amazon prime I was only delayed a couple days, but I did use the premium overnight delivery option at $3.99. After the delays and disappointments, my refrigerator is running well again. And that's what it's all about!

Not much to say except for it worked like it was supposed to with no problems and no hassles fitting it in. To me, that gives it a 4 star rating.

I'm only mildly handy around the house, but small projects I can manage. I found this motor by checking our fridge model's parts inventory, and then the internet did the rest. It's a fairly simple replacement, with the only tricky part being that the charge of the connections wasn't readily marked for me to notice, although I have a very untrained eye. Still, I was able to attach this to the mounts and connect the power on the first try. Motor has worked since, and the cost of the part was no doubt far less than a service call would have been.

Just what I was looking for, but these are expensive and break constantly. I bought one in 2006 after 3 years of it being broken more often than it worked and much complaining from me (this is a $4,000 tiny refrigerator!!), U-Line replaced it... And the replacement is even more of a lemon.

Product is awful and U-Line's service is even worse. We live in a major metropolitan area and I think U-Line has been through contracts with 8 local service companies duing that time the local people report they just cnt get the parts or the prduct support necessary.

I will never ever ever buy from them again and I urge you not to either!!!

I received the order in good time and in good packaging. Installed the first filter according to the manufacturer's guidelines and the red filter light did not go off. I took it out and reinstalled it and the red light still did not go out. It seems to be working properly, just wish the light would reset itself to the blue.

We bought this Bosch Ascenta SHE3AR75UC dishwasher after our old 10 year old Bosch dishwasher started to turn itself off mid-cycle. We have fixed our old Bosch once for the pump (under warranty) and once for the control board (past warranty), but we still liked it enough to get another.

Since we already had the hookups from our old washer, I decided to install the unit myself and I am glad I did. Installation was easy, but a $20 hookup kit is recommended so you have all the brass fittings and hoses necessary to get the job done.

This Ascenta SHE3AR75UC is a less expensive machine than our last, and it does show in a few areas. The tub in ours is plastic instead of stainless, and the wire of the rack is a thinner gauge. The door works perfectly fine, but has a slightly stiff action when closing. The control panel on the front is clad with plastic, not stainless steel like the picture seems to show.

This washer is not silent like our last Bosch, but it is still quiet. Noise is the main caveat for not spending $250 on the next model up. Our old washer had a thick plastic casing that encased the lower internals, this one has exposed drain tubes that allow the sound of trickling water to be heard near the front kick panel. The trickling sound can be faintly heard from the next room with the room door open. Not a deal breaker.

Bosch decided to re-design its racks since our model, and I am not happy. I like to fit dishes most effectively for fuller loads. Our older Bosch had larger spacing between all the tines in the racks, allowing the rack to be more versatile for the different shapes of bowls and plates. The new rack has much tighter spacing between the tines of most sections, preventing certain dishes (cereal bowls and glasses in particular) to be fit almost anywhere in the lower rack. Our family has at least 4-6 cereal bowls per wash, and I am still trying to figure out where they should go. The Bosch manual should loading examples, none of which have more than two cereal bowls. I would estimate that the lack of versatility of the racks means that we lose up to 10-15% capacity per load over our old Bosch. Some Ascenta models come with a folding silverware rack that allows you to place it in different configurations for more versatility. I wish our model had that. Perhaps I will discover the secret to the new racks, but so far I am stymied. Not quite a deal breaker, but certainly knocks off a solid star (or star and a half) off of an otherwise perfect score.

The normal cycle takes longer than our old unit. 1:55 instead of 1:25. That one half hour is significant if you have to run two loads during a large dinner party. Otherwise, who cares. Fortunately, the machine offers "delicate" and "express" modes that take 1:20 and 0:30 minutes respectively which can serve in a pinch.

The washer does a fine job of cleaning. No complaints so far.

The biggest question is: How long will it last? We bought this less expensive model assuming that the control board or pump may eventually go bad (like most appliances we have had), so when we pass the warranty and extended warranty periods, the decision to replace the unit won't be as tragic. Hopefully Bosch has made some improvements since 12 years ago.

I will update this review if anything changes.

My old floor display LG finally was laid to rest. 5+ service calls and then it started leaking and wouldn't power up. I researched every web-site and every customer review. Bosch doesn't offer an affordable line with a build-in garbage disposal feature, which sounded like something I wanted as an added feature. Never-the-less... It was a holiday week and I needed my dishwasher replaced, and fast. I did my homework using Consumer reports, due to their testing and non-bias reviews. This model rated 81/100, which was the highest rating for dishwashers. I wasn't crazy about the models with hidden controls and I liked the remaining time display. The stainless steel tub is nice (note: the bottom and top aren't stainless steel... rather a greyish plastic, but who cares? The top rack is on a track which I do feel make for longer lasting and easier in and out access. It's not as quiet as my late LG. The sounds of filling and emptying cycles can be heard, however it's not a really big deal for me and it's only a little noticable. I read one review that says the Pot scrubing cycle doesn't get the water hot... WRONG! Opening my door during the cycle gave me a free-steam facial. Not recommended... LOL. So heat is not a problem. Here's what is...

The loading problems I reviewed were not great, and this is true. The tines are very tight... Bosch is trying way too hard to make dishes fit. If I was only washing plates, this machine would be a dream. Note to Bosch... Most families use a large assortment of dishes, bowls, glasses, pots and pans. Put some space back between those tines! Some are adjustable but most on the bottom rack are fixed. (I have to be creative at times to get the plates and pots to fit at the same time. Deal breaker? Not really... I just want everything clean. And clean is what I'm getting. This unit is a work horse. I've done back to back washings after Thanksgiving. Even put the pots and pans all together for their own cycle, fearing that some food particles might settle on the glass ware, but this wasn't a problem at all. The filter does need to be cleaned once in a while, but I've only done so twice in 2 weeks, and it wasn't that bad at all. Might have even gotten by with just one cleaning.

Bosch recommends Finish tablet which is another #1 rating from Consumer reports. One soap tablet per wash. Not bad at all. There are enough settings to make my daily use easy. The quick wash selection is good for a normal breakfast. The sanitize option is great and helps the dishes dry as well. There is no heating unit, so that's a plus/ minus for some, but my LG didn't either so I knew what to expect.

For the price... This was a Great deal and I'm happy so far. I can take the little minor loading issues over the fact that I've always gotten a clean load when it's finished. Run times are long, 1-2+ hours, but again... nothing new for me. If you want clean and can tolerate a trickling noise between cycles, then look no further. Easy to self install... (took me 30 minutes) Note to Bosch... I like my products boxed... Not shrink wrapped. Just saying...LOL Time will tell how long this one will last, but so far, it's the best I've owed. Oh... Bosch is noted for the least amount of repairs. Good sale point for me. Hope this helped.

I was disappointed in the quality of this dishwasher immediately. The tines are thin and bent easily, the racks are made of a very light cheap plastic, making them very unstable. They would come off the rails constantly and the wheels would pop off. However, it seemed to be getting the dishes clean and wasn't too bad with pots and pans (though they didn't fit in well). Of course, shortly after the warranty expired, the locking mechanism broke. The repairman who came told me to order the part myself because I'd get it quicker than he would that he has seen this problem with this model often. When I called Bosch to order the part, they said they could send a repair person at a cost of $99 for the first EIGHTEEN MINUTES and an additional charge for each additional SIX minutes. When I asked for an estimate, they couldn't tell me even approximately how long it would take to replace the part which seems ridiculous to me and makes it impossible for me to decide whether to repair it or throw it out.

UPDATE: Spent $200 to fix the door. Less than 2 weeks later I am getting an "E24" error message and the machine is not draining. We cleaned out the drains, to no avail. I'm ordering a new dishwasher and not spending another dime on this one.

This is the worst dishwasher you can buy. It does not drain. Soap is left on dishes and in bottom well. Contacted Bosh several times and they say its the soap. When I explained that the soap I am using is the brand that they insist on they told me to contact the soap company or use fabric softner. Not worth the money! This is not an exact copy of 4395610. This is only a carbon filter and does not remove all the contaminates of 4395610. 4395610 also Reduces cysts, asbestos, particulates, lead, and mercury.

If all you want is a carbon filter this does the job but you can get it even cheaper if you look at other part numbers that fit your fridge. These also sell as 4396508 for under $60.

If you are going to compare a product it should do the same thing.

I've been using these for about 3 weeks, and they seem to work as good as the kind that I got from Sears at a fraction of the cost. No problems for me so far.

Overall, this product is a huge (and expensive) disappointment. I advise looking at other products.

I bought this product for my fiance for Christmas. It was shiped promptly and received fine. I bought this particular product because it was highly rated for several reasons: customer service from the manufacturer as well as premium function. Unfortunately, these are the two main issues wrong with the product in my case. We opened it up and assembled it. The spring in the handle on the coupler was broken, so when my fiance went to push down on it after retracting it (a "metal" part on the inside should have retracted with the handle) the inside locking mechanism broke off. It was SOOO not made of premium materials. I think it must be some kind of composite metal (something with alluminum). When we contacted the company, they were agressive on the phone and said we would have to pay for a new coupler (with the same crap materials). We said no thank you... instead, the company from whom I bought it was willing to replace the part for free. THAT was good customer service.

Negatives:

-I would not buy this product and expect to be helped beyond having it delivered to your door (from Edgestar atleast).

-Expect really really really crappy materials.

-Directions are contradictory regarding use of CO2 tank and direction of valve handle.

-Not cold enough.

Positives:

-Fridge fits sixtills (spelling wrong) and half kegs perfectly.

-BEER!

This product has it all-incorrect instructions, insufficiently cold temperature, short (three year) life span, and truly horrific customer service! And don't forget the loose, unsecured tower.

When my wife assembled this to surprise me three years ago, she followed the directions to a tee, but the directions included a mistake that caused a leak. That led me to customer service, expecting that in a few minutes or so a knowledgeable technician would be able to diagnose the problem and guide me to fix it. Guess again! You can't ever get someone live on the phone when you call, and they may call back in a couple of days, when you're out or at work. Email was equally frustrating, with lengthy delays in responses and short, terse replies that consistently reflected no concern for either "customers" or "service". Of course, an easy solution to this would have been to schedule a time in advance when we might connect by phone, but Edge Star's customer service folks refused to do that. After SIX WEEKS of trying to get some diagnostic help to solve the leak, I gave up and figured it out myself.

The kegerator has never been cold enough (strange, isn't that the whole point?), but now, after only 3 years, the kegerator won't go beneath mid-40s even with adjustments to the thermostat. Predictably, customer service has been useless, blaming my keg! So now I am shopping for a replacement -ABE: Anyone But Edgestar!

This kegerator says it holds full size kegs--it does not!! The interior is only 14.5 inches deep--from the condensor shelf in the back out to the front.

Any keg with a diameter larger than 14 inches will not fit!!

EdgeStar's "experts" say to just raise the keg above the condensor shelf with some cardboard and then it will fit! But there is a temperature gauge at the top inside, which limits the height. If you raised the keg up at all, all the hoses would be smashed against the top of the thing.

I think this would be perfect for someone who is brewing their own beer or will only use the smaller diameter kegs--not full size or pony kegs.

So before ordering this, please decide which kegs you will probably be using most. Unless you don't mind using bungee cords to keep the door shut and wrap it with blankets or something to keep the cold air in!

Whirlpool 2198202 Thermostat for Refrigerator

The primary reason I bought this item from this vendor was that was advertised as a Whirlpool part SEVEN times in the ad: "Whirlpool 2198282 Thermostat for Refrigerator by Whirlpool", repeated this two more times, and then said "Genuine Whirlpool Replacement Part".

In fact, the package in which it came says, "ERP exact replacement parts, ER 2198282 Cold Control".

My refrigerator was 48 degrees, I had to do something, so I carefully installed this ERP part following a step by step video found elsewhere on the net. I set the control on 3, the mid way point and was pleased that it cooled quickly.

BUT, it went down, down to below 32 degrees. So, I turned the control down ... down ... down. The control is now at its warmest setting, 1, and the temp still remains at 32 or colder (this over a couple of days).

I'm going to try to get my money back from Amazon. BEWARE.

It took 5 minutes to install. You tube has a video that shows all the steps needed to install the part.
