2.5 Cu. Ft. Superconductor Fridge (Over boxed) in Black

2.5 Cu. Ft. Superconductor Fridge in Black
  • Total_Capacity - 2.50 ft
  • Color - Black
  • Design - Freestanding
  • Cooling_Type - Auto-defrost

The item is really expensive and on top of that it does not cool food as it should. It's very narrow so there's not much space for food and drinks. I will recommend not to buy it, it's not worth the price.

I have owned this for over a year now. When it arrived,it was dented on the bottom.I was able to mend it and I kept it since it was not noticeable once in position. If your room is above 68 degrees,it starts condensating inside and you need wipe out the water every few days. Not what I want to do in the summer months when it is 90 out. This has 2 fans in the back of the unit to cool the coils and 1 dumped after about 2 months.Again I didn't want to lug this out.I took it apart and put a pc case fan in its place.Back up and running and the pc fan cooled just as well which I get to next. This will do fine for drinks, but I get a little worried putting milk and lunch meats in there.I can't say how cool it gets cause I didn't throw a thermometer inside, but it just seems like it could do better.Mind you I have not gotten sick from anything I did keep in there.Keep in mind that this does not have a compressor,it uses peltier technology.

I chose a retailer that had a good reputation, but sold it at a premium price it arrived in good shape. The unit is very lightweight, like a glorified cooler, leaving me feeling like I overpaid for this.... The good? The only sound comes from two quiet fans. At the warmest possible setting it holds a steady 60 degrees, which is just what I wanted. Perfect for storing things in a "cool, dry place" during the summer months. I expect it to use very little electricity, and it makes for a nice little alternate fridge!

Whirlpool W10120998 Screen for Dryer

Whirlpool W10120998 Screen for DryerThis replaced one that was messed up. This is so much better than the one that came with the dryer.

Can't beat the price for this replacement filter for a faulty design with the original. It's also much less expensive than the official "Maytag" replacement.

After a fire inside the heater coil housing, I traced the source of the lint build up to the flimsy lint trap screen. This new one is thicker and seals much better. Now the screen is full of lint after every load, instead of lint going inside the dryer shell.

The product is OEM from Whirlpool. I like the additional of the center plastic strip to give the lint screen support and help reduce the chances of the screen geting damaged. My original part lasted about 5 years and was torn from frequent cleaning. I feel that this item remains a bit expensive for such a simple part.

Want Whirlpool W10120998 Screen for Dryer Discount?

Replaced the original lint screen that came with our Whirlpool Duet Dryer (Model WGD9400SW) with this one in November 2012. So far it's holding up fine and the felt strip seems to be staying in place. Ordered the part from from Appliance Care Store. Prime shipping was fine and quick.

So nice not to deal a dangling felt strip or worry about lint getting into the dryer. Perhaps the design issues of this part have been addressed by Whirlpool? If this one fails at least we know where to go to get a decent replacement!

Emerson 8 Bottle Wine Cooler

Emerson 8 Bottle Wine CoolerI only drink on average one bottle of wine per week: one glass per day over four or five days (I preserve the rest of it using a VacuVin or the Private Preserve system) and also buy relatively inexpensive wines that don't require long aging. So this 8-bottle wine cooler from Emerson is perfect for me; it also keeps me on a budget I am limited to having only eight bottles of wine at any one time.

The unit itself is attractive and seems to be well-built. The packaging is also pretty sturdy. There are two metal racks that hold 4 standard (burgundy or bordeaux) bottles each, and be aware that long riesling or oversized Champagne bottles won't fit. Also, unlike some other wine coolers, you can't squeeze in more bottles by taking out the shelves and stacking bottles on top of one another. You're pretty much limited to 8.

This cooler operates on the thermoelectric method (also known as the Peltier effect look it up on Wikipedia), meaning there is no compressor and the only moving part is a fan to circulate air. There are three buttons on the front handle: one to turn on and off the led light inside, one to turn up the temperature in one-degree increments, and one to turn down the temperature in similar increments. Each time you press any of the buttons, a digital thermometer lights up to show you the internal temperature. When you press either the up or down temperature button, the thermometer also lights up to show you the desired temperature you have selected.

When I first plugged this in, the thermometer was in the mid 70's. I set it for 57 degrees and it took about 4 hours or so for it to get to that point. I've had this cooler for over a month now, and every time I check the temperature it is 57 degrees. The room it is in gets pretty warm, like to the low-mid 80's but so far this little unit has managed to maintain a constant temperature. If you keep opening and closing the door or changing wines, of course the temperature is going to vary but since I rarely open it (just once per week to get my wine of the week, and then when I add wines to it), the temperature doesn't vary.

So far I am quite happy with this product. It is totally inadequate if you are trying to build a wine collection, but if you need something small just to hold your wines at the right temperature, this fits the bill very nicely.

Addendum: It has been about three months since I purchased this (I actually purchased another one a few weeks after the 1st one). I bought a couple of digital thermometers to compare their readings with the built-in ones. The built-in thermometers say 57 degrees 99% of the time, whereas the readings on the digital standalone thermometers show readings that vary from the mid 58-degree to high 60-degree range. I live in Southern California and it's been ridiculously hot this summer the ambient temperature in the room where these are located gets up to 86 or 87 degrees until I get home from work and turn on the air conditioner, so under the circumstances, I think these units are performing well. I don't want to turn down the thermostat on them because I feel that will be too much of a strain. I'm happy with a level of 58-60 during the hot summer. Just thought I should share this update with readers, though the built-in does not agree with the standalone temperature readings.

The manual said that it would reach the desired temperature (45 degrees for white wine) in 4 hours if fully stocked.I had 8 bottles of white wine in it. After 4 days it only got to 63 degrees. I had bought it new thru Amazon from a company called Discount Jungle. It turns out that it had been made in 2007 and most likely returned but not repaired. Amazon should not be dealing with this low grade outfit.

I got a replacement after having to pay to ship it back the non working unit only to have the replacement also made 7 years ago and not cooling also. Called Emerson Company who told me that the model had been discontinued because it was defective. That Discount Jungle was not authorized to sell their products. ARE YOU LISTENING AMAZON!

This is a good item for the price. It holds 8 bottles of wine and has a small footprint (although it is deeper than I expected). The fridge keeps ithe set temperature fairly well. I have noticed some fluctuation when putting new bottles in that are room temp. It stabilizes though once it brings everything down to temperature.

I would advise potential buyers to ensure there is enough clearance between the back and a wall so the fan can get proper ventilation. Also remember to clean the filter periodically.

I had another small wine cooler that well it whined. This one is almost silent and cooled very quickly. It stays right on temp as well.

Well it holds the bottles of wine but it do not keep them cool enough. I thought that it would be cooler. I wish I could get my money back because it is really not worth it. I got it as a gift and we both relize that we still have to put the wine in the house refrig to get the wine chilled.

Liebherr CS2061

Liebherr CS2061We purchased a Liebherr CS1301 a few years back and had nothing but problems.

The finish, or lack thereof is almost impossible to keep clean. We contacted Liebherr service and were told the fridge only had a partial factory finish and we should use the 2 oz bottle supplied to do the finial finish. Talk about insane for a premium priced product.

We have tried no fewer than a dozen different cleaners and nothing works.

The freezer started acting up, the alarm would sound showing temp dropping. After awhile I contacted Liebherr. I was told there is an issue with the sensor whereby it freezes. This causes the fridge to bypass the thermostat.

Ok, so where is the customer notification or recall to fix this issue?

I've always purchased German products whenever possible, this brand is a total disappointment.

If I ever wanted my wife to leave me, all I would have to do is buy another Liebherr product.

SPT Energy Star 3.2 cu.ft. Double Door Refrigerator in Stainless Steel

SPT Energy Star 3.2 cu.ft. Double Door Refrigerator in Stainless Steel
  • Transparent vegetable storage drawer with glass shelf
  • Flush back design for space saving; Front leveling legs with can dispenser and tall bottle rack
  • Estimated yearly operating cost: $28 based on 10.65 cent per kwh 2007
  • Reversible door with slide-out wire shelf for storage versatility
  • 3.2 Cu.ft. Net capacity with double door and separate fridge and freezer compartments

This seemed like a good mini-fridge for a 12'*16' building we had constructed near the pool, where we use it just to keep a few beers and sodas cold. The stainless steel is hard to find in this price range. Unfortunately, even with such light usage the compressor seems to run constantly; I can't remember going into the building and not hearing it. Last week I plugged it into an energy monitor device for an objective view, and sure enough it's an energy hog. Maybe it's because it's in an unshaded spot, but the structure is insulated and not hot to sit in (we have a home theater, bathroom, and shower room in this "man cave"). Will update this review as we go through autumn, just to see if the season shift changes things.

Not too loud, small but can hold large drink items in door, this handsome little fridge has a real freezer, not just a cube tray in a compartment. So far, so good. They say to give it a LOT of room around it, we have less than the suggested 3-4 inches but the unit doesn't put out too much heat and it has been summertime.

Our Accounting Dept has limited space and this little guy tucks in just fine in a corner behind one of the doors here. It's great to have a mini-fridge that is exactly that a mini version of a full sized refrigerator.

Its just like a large fridge only smaller. I am currently using it as a beverage fridge underneath a bar counter. I have the freezer section to hold ice and the lower section to hold beverages ( nice six can stacker in the door ). Controls are easy and the finish is fine. I would recommend this as a beverage fridge or a small emergency fridge.

at first I thought it would be too small, but it fits my needs. It is quiet, most small ones are not.
