Culinair Af100s 1.7-Cubic Foot Compact Refrigerator, Silver and Black

Culinair Af100s 1.7-Cubic Foot Compact Refrigerator, Silver and Black
  • 1.7-cubic foot compact fridge
  • Thermoelectric technology
  • Auto-defrost and temperature controller
  • Flush back design with adjustable feet and a reversible door
  • Ultra quiet

If I could give this fridge zero stars I would. I am a college student so I needed a small fridge for my room. The milk went bad after 4 days, which is record time. Everything was extremely warm, I think it would have been better to leave my stuff outside in room temperature. I wasn't expecting the fridge to be this bad, specially cuz is $100. So make yourself a favor and DON'T buy this piece of crap.

Buy Culinair Af100s 1.7-Cubic Foot Compact Refrigerator, Silver and Black Now

Fridge arrived damage free but ordered with one day shipping if you can as the packing is just retail. Works fine and runs quietly without interruption(doesn't stop and start). However, the fridge does not get cold enough inside. Even when the ambient temperature is 65 degrees, the inside does not get cooler that 52 degrees. As such, it is ok for fruits but milk and cold cut meat expire far earlier than they should. I do not recommend it for anyone. If you pay a little more for a higher quality fridge than definitely do so.

I bought this as a birthday gift for my significant other. It is a nice addition to the garage. It does keep his beer chilled, but not as ice cold as I hoped for.

I've had this for about seven months, and have had food poisoning a couple times. I finally purchased a $5 refrigerator thermometer and found it was at a dangerous 52 degrees.

I'd had it set at the middle setting, but even at the extreme "coldest" setting, it will not cool below the MINIMUM safe temperature of 41 degrees.

Good product, only negative is it keeps thigs COOL not COLD.. needs more cooling power.I believe Culinair misrepresented this product as a fridge and not as what it really is a cooler for drinks...

Filter ACE+ Replacement filter compatible with Samsung Refrigerator Water Filter DA29-00003A DA29-0

Filter ACE+ Replacement filter compatible with Samsung Refrigerator Water Filter DA29-00003A DA29-00003B DA29-00003G HAFCU1I ordered 2 of these, delighted to have a replacement for the DA29-00003G Samsung filter at a great price. However, it does NOT work for our fridge requiring the DA29-00003G filter.. Ours is a French Door model purchased 6/2011, so perhaps Samsung made a slight change in the new model? The locking mechanism used on the Samsung version of the filter is different, and this filter cannot be turned that 1/4 turn to lock in place. The model number on our fridge is RF268AB in case that helps anyone.

I purchased this water filter as a replacement for my original OEM Samsung water filter for my refrigerator and it saved me a lot of money.

Only thing you don't get that the OEM filter includes (which is what kept me from giving it a five star rating), are the 12 month reminder stickers to replace the filter. However, you can just use a permanent marker and just write the month on the filter itself.

After much research and many, many reviews read, I chose the Filter ACE+ replacement for our Samsung refrigerator. Since our refrigerator is only a year old, this was the first replacement we needed to make and I was unsure about using a 'substitute' filter. The good news is that it took my husband seconds to install the filter and it works exactly as the original Samsung filter did. Since there is no indicator on the filter itself, we put the date of installation on it with a felt marker. Our refrigerator has an indicator light that will let us know when it is time to replace the filter and I am interested to see exactly how long this filter actually lasts.

Water filters are such a rip off, it was nice to find this guy on the market as a direct replacement for the OEM Samsung unit -And for almost HALF the price, I was willing to take a chance.

So, comparing side by side, these are not just relabeled Samsung filters. The case is clearly different, and there are less manufacture markings on the plastic.

The good:

No Chlorine Taste/Smell.

Water is Clear. (No sediment at the bottom of a glass after it has sat for 24 hours).

Installs perfectly.

The Odd:

Yes. Water pressure in increased. If you have an old/worn water dispenser this may not work out in your favor, and the increased pressure may cause vales to leak, or take longer to close.

More water pressure makes me think there is less filter material/carbon inside the filter. I'll update this review if it seems to not last as long.

For now, I'm sold. Money well saved.

P.s. If your fridge doesn't have a reminder system built in... Just remember to take a Sharpie and write the date on the filter.

This is nearly 1/2 the price of the name brand at my local home improvement store. It installed easily in my Samsung fridge and the most important thing it doesn't leak. I'll be buying more of these.

Danby DBC2760BLS 5.0 Cu. Ft. Silhouette Beverage Center - Black/Stainless

Danby DBC2760BLS 5.0 Cu. Ft. Silhouette Beverage Center - Black/Stainless
  • 5.0 cu. ft. (140L) capacity beverage
  • 27 bottle capacity in wine compartment
  • 60 can capacity in beverage compartment
  • Integrated application
  • Cool blue LED lighting illuminates the interior

I purchased the beverage center Aug 2011, beautiful product. Broke this July and it has been a nightmare to get replaced since they were not able to fix it (3 visits from the repair company). Everyone at Danby was soooooo nice, but totally useless. It is now the end of Oct...and no replacement. When I called Danby today 10/30/12 I was told that I didnt send them the physical serial #, which I was NEVER told to do back on 10/2/12. I was told the replacement was being shipped and to call them when I received it to discuss warranty on the new item. Today I was hung up on by Maria Pineda, the Danby Manager of Customer Service because I was upset that this was going on for so long...really?? Thats how they handle an upset customer?! Please google the company and products reviews before purchasing a Danby product.

Purchased this beverage center 4 years ago. I love this little refrigerator, you can store beverages in one side and your wine in the other and there are dual controls for each side with a beautiful blue light when you open the refrigerator. The only problems is that it lasted a mere 4 years before dying. Repairman says it was made in China and the wires are opposite of what is normal in the US making it tricky to diagnose and repair. Turns out is needs a new master board which runs somewhere in the $500+ range because it is not a stocked item anywhere so it has to be special ordered. Cheaper just to buy a new one, unfortunately.

Overall this little cooler does a great job. Read some of the other reviews and wonder if I happen to get the best from the bunch.

Works real well till the grand kids come over and think its great to have unlimited access to soda pop. Trick like any refrigerator keep the doors closed and it maintains the wine at the right temperatures. The beverage side will cool energy drinks, sodas and gatorade cold enough to enjoy right out of the can. Unit was build into a cabinet we made sure to leave space behind the unit to allow for air to circulate. Have had it for a couple of years and it runs like a champ.

We bought this cooler new and have had multiple problems ever since. First of all, the cooler looks cool, with its blue light, but that is the only feature that we like. Although it is still on warranty, we have spent MONTHS attempting to get it repaired. The repairman advised us that this model is made in China and he was unable to fix it because of what he maintained is an engineering issue. He was very competent and familiar with the unit, but still was unable to fix it. The cooler has two sides that have independent/dual temperature controls. Although it is supposed to cool down to 39 degrees, it only dips down to the 50's. Both sides fluculate wildly. This was money down the drain. The repairman picked it up twice and kept it for almost a month each time trying to fix it. He replaced the board and when it returned the light didn't work. He took it back because the temperature only work properly for days. He returned and watched it and admitted that it can't hold the correct temperature. He left it here and related that he would contact Danby for assistance because he can't disgnosis it. Even the repairman maintained that he could not get any answers from the Danby service experts. The bottom line is that the unit is only useful as an anchor or something that looks nice, but doesn't work. After the warranty is over, we will just have to pitch it out and purchase a more reliable make/model. PLEASE, SAVE YOURSELF AGGRAVATION AND DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT!

This has to be the worse appliance I have ever owned. Cannot hold a temperature, noisy fans, one side quit some time back. I have yet to find a decent review. Like I said DO NOT BUY!!

27 Bottle Compressor Wine Cooler

27 Bottle Compressor Wine Cooler
  • Compressor cooling system
  • Interior LED lighting
  • Stores 27 bottles of wine
  • Insulated glass doors
  • Electronic thermostat

Purchased this cooler after reading many favorable reviews over others that trashed the thermoelectric units as being inferior. Well this unit was almost DOA, it worked for 24 hrs then died with over $2000 worth of library wine in it. It was getting warmer when I pulled the wine out as it was above room temp while being set for 53 degrees F. Will look for another brand and hopefully better product reliability.

Replacement Washing Machine Motor for Whirlpool, Sears, Kenmore, Amana Refrigerators 3352287

Replacement Washing Machine Motor for Whirlpool, Sears, Kenmore, Amana Refrigerators 3352287
  • Replaces part number:3352287

Item arrive loosely and poorly packed in a modified lightweight cardboard box. While item did have original foam packing, it was badly broken and only secured by additionally added bubble-wrap and I was surprised that it was not secured within a manufactures box and/or packaging. Item did NOT appear to have been damaged in shipment. I was even more disappointed upon closer examination of the item. THIS IS NOT a replacement motor for Whirlpool/Kenmore products!!! Replacements are made in USA exclusively by Whirlpool, pass UL and CSA testing and are warrantied by the manufacture. The item received is an UNAUTHORIZED and ILLEGAL substitution poorly and cheaply made in China!!! IT IS NOT UL NOR CSA APPROVED or TESTED, and obviously has no warranty or manufactures identification!!! Even though this is for personal use and repair, I was VERY reluctant to accept such an item. This CAN NOT and should not be used by repair businesses, authorized or not, due to unknown liability issues. The description DID NOT reflect these important matters and are certainly not worthy of the savings or low cost!!!! Further more, upon installation, it was discovered that motor WAS defective and NOT tested and inspected as noted on sticker. After removal and more though inspection, it was found that motor controller switch WAS NOT to original specifications and resulted in a clicking noise caused by inadequate clearance of controller and motor armature fins. Poor installation and alignment of controller actuating lever also caused premature wear and damage of lever end of controller ON A NEW MOTOR!!!! While armature fins were unevenly machined, it was determined that a small spacing washer under the controller would satisfy clearance AND alignment issues while extending life of controller lever end. After my modifications, testing and acceptance, motor was AGAIN installed and functions acceptably with concerns of quality and lifetime.

Buy Replacement Washing Machine Motor for Whirlpool, Sears, Kenmore, Amana Refrigerators 3352287 Now

The motor came with a sticker that said it had been quality controlled. It runs just fine under "no load" condition.

However, under any load (even an empty tub), the rotor hits the side, and then it overheats and shuts down, in less than 30 seconds. The load is not excessive -the previous motor still runs the same machine just fine. (The previous motor has a worn shaft, and is making noise and getting ready to fail. So I decided to replace it before it actually failed.)

And, the seller does NOT offer refunds -exchange only. And, not after it has been installed and used. So this motor cannot be returned. My time to hassle with a vendor is worth more than the motor anyway.

The replacement motor worked and was much cheaper to buy here then in other websites. There was no problem in mounting or wiring the new motor.

Avanti 18 Bottle Dual Zone Thermoelectric Wine Cooler W/Glass Door / Stainless Steel Handle

Avanti 18 Bottle Dual Zone Thermoelectric Wine Cooler W/Glass Door / Stainless Steel Handle
  • Glass Door
  • dual zone
  • electronic controls
  • digital display
  • vibration free

I didn't bother with the door handle. It looked like it would come off too easily. But it opens just fine by grabbing the top. Where I have this, it actually works better to not have the handle.

While it was getting to temperature the fans were noisy, but it is now quiet. I actually had to read the instructions for how to set the temperature so it's not quite as intuitive as I like, but heh, I guess 3 minutes to absorb up from down is not too bad.

I love having wine at the perfect temperature. No more too cold white or too warm red. I buy wines to consume, not to preserve, so this works just right for me. I was happy to find a wine cooler just the right size for the space I wanted it in.

The back of the unit makes some of the spaces shorter. I have smaller desert bottles in those spaces. You just have to experiment with what fits where. Too bad champagne bottles don't fit, but I knew that going in.

I highly recommend this cooler for the casual consumer of wine.

I had been looking for a wine fridge for awhile. I had two specific requirements, it had to have dual temperature zones and fit at least a case of wine. This one was perfect. I have had it for two months now and it has held its temperature perfectly. It's really quiet and fits pretty much any size bottle, except magnums. The only complaint I have is the digital numbers on the front illuminate my living room when all the lights are off. I would defintley recommend this fridge, especially for a first one.

I love my new wine cooler. It is quiet, attractive and chills my wine perfectly. The size is perfect for my limited space needs. Thanks for the prompt delivery.

Unfortunately this is only an average Wine Cooler. The main reason is how quickly it changes fan speed. If it was more gradual it would be less noticable and not as annoying. As it is the change is drastic and each time it happens you will take notice.

Only recommended if you are going to keep it in a room which no one uses on a day to day basis.

It also cannot accomodate all my wines in the "correct" position and I have to put them on a diagonal taking 3 places instead of one.

Not the quietest fridge but I don't have it where it bothers me. The only thing that would be better is if the duel zones were switched as the top is the section that gets the coldest so I can only put 6 whites in which I drink more of then the red. (Oh well, I have to fill it more often!) But that wasn't noted in the write-up of the product. The tall white 'Riesling' bottles also don't fit!

Danby DWC283BLS 3.5-Cu.Ft. 30-Bottle Free-Standing Wine Cooler, Black/Stainless

Danby DWC283BLS 3.5-Cu.Ft. 30-Bottle Free-Standing Wine Cooler, Black/Stainless
  • 30 Bottle (3.5 cu. ft.) capacity with frost free operation
  • Dual temperature zones for 10 bottles of red wine and 20 bottles of white wine
  • Red wine temperature range 10c - 18c (50F - 64.4F)
  • White Wine Temperature Range 5c - 10c (41F - 50F)
  • 4-Full width and 2 half width wooden shelves

Let me start by saying that this is the one of the worst products I have ever purchased. And I say that with all honesty. I bought this for my wife as a Christmas present a little over 1 year ago.

My list of problems are as follows (in chronological order):

1)The unit was EXTREMELY noisy since new, to the point where guests would comment about it from 2 rooms away. I was willing to live with this if this were the only problem.

2) I have experienced Heavy condensation on the outside of the glass door. The condensation was so bad that it left a puddle 2' in diameter on the wood floor in my dining room. So Bad that I built a pedestal with a tray under it to catch the condensation and not ruin the floor.

3) POOR service on a scale of 1-10 (10 being Excellent) they are a -30. Absolutely HORRIBLE. I contacted Danby's customer service department, after 5 calls I was able to get someone in person, to try and get the condensation issue resolved. they referred me to the local service rep for my area (12 miles South of Boston) who refused to come out to come out and fix the problem. They would not even schedule an appointment. After getting a different service rep to honor the warrantee and waiting 2 weeks for an appointment, they refused to provide any service. Both the Service rep and Danby stated that this was a "Normal" condition and that people called with similar problems "All the time". There is no way that if you buy a Wine Cooler like this that you should have to worry about it ruining the floor on which it sits!!! This was absolutely infuriating!!

4) After the service (if you want to call it that) FIASCO, I was surprised to find the door of the unit popped open. Upon investigating open door, I found one of my favorite bottles of wine with the cork popped out due to being FROZEN!! That's right FROZEN!! Can't tell you how long it was like that because due to the noise the unit makes, I placed it in a corner that is out of the way and thereby not in the direct line of sight. It seems the electronics are stuck and the unit will not shut off. The temperature display shows E3 which I assume is an error (no reference in the Manual) I am going to call Danby again to try and get this new issue resolved, as the cooler is still under warrantee.

5) I was able to get the unit to reset on my own by letting the fridge sit overnight unplugged. The only thing I can think of is that there was Ice built up on the thermocouple that controls the bottom half of the unit and that was causing the error code, the unit did function properly for 2 mos after the the event listed in item number 4. But Danby still refuses to service the product.

This is an absolute piece of @*&%^&^^. DON'T waste your money!!! If I seem harsh, take that as an indication of the quality of the product. Don't get caught in the same trap I did. The cooler looks nice and that is all it does nicely.

UPDATE:

After having this unit freeze my wine TWICE and ruining 8+ bottles of wine, I have decided to THROW IT AWAY!!! I ordered another unit from Sears tonight after finding my wine frozen for a SECOND time. Danby refuses to support their product. I can't remember a purchase I regret more. Danby's service is abysmal and the product is garbage!!! Please learn from my mistake. The only reason this product gets 1 star is because Amazon will not let a reviewer put in 0 stars.

Buy Danby DWC283BLS 3.5-Cu.Ft. 30-Bottle Free-Standing Wine Cooler, Black/Stainless Now

We had this wine refrigerator installed in our kitchen last fall. We had a lot of problems with it. It is poorly constructed, and it is difficult to get the wine in and out. Some of the shelves stick, and the shelves are so narrow that it is hard to put in the wine. The unit also made a lot of noise and would stop working on a regular basis. The company replaced it with a new unit and now we are having problems with it. The unit gets so hot that if you open the door and touch the sides, you burn yourself. It heats up the counter that sits on top of it so much that I can't put chocolate, butter, etc. on it or it will melt. In addition, the unit is incredibly noisy-the compressor never shuts off and it makes such a racket that I can hear it in the next room. I would never buy this product again.

Want Danby DWC283BLS 3.5-Cu.Ft. 30-Bottle Free-Standing Wine Cooler, Black/Stainless Discount?

This cooler (or the similar model built 2 years ago)worked well until it stopped cooling a few months ago. Although not built with the finesse of more expensive competitors, it seemed like a good deal for the price. When it stopped cooling, I tried to get service through the dealers listed on the Danby site -but they either did not return my call or said it would cost too much to service it. It no longer seems like a bargain.

I bought 2 of these for my home. Almost immediately after the warranty expired, I got an E4 error on the display and the colling shut off. I called Danby and they said I had to go through a local repairman. He came out and said the control board was shot. $250+labor to replace. I called Danby and said I thought this was not right. I was basically told to F*** Off because the warranty was expired.

I'm screwed, because the kitchen was designed for this width of cooler. Thanks Danby for making a really crappy product that won't last and you won't stand behind.

GE PTS25SHSSS Profile 24.6 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel Top Freezer Refrigerator - Energy Star

I can't believe what a dud this fridge is! We were so excited to get this (and it's no small investment). We wanted a large fridge for our growing family, and had space for a 36" wide appliance. We didn't want a bottom freezer because all of our friends were unhappy with the freezers on these total chaos inside with nothing found easily. Also, we have two kids under 5 years old so we wanted something that the kids could reach into and a bottom freezer makes the fridge above a child's height. We looked at side-by-sides, but all the reviews said the sizes were smaller than reported and we wanted to maximize the fridge size. So, even though this was more than we wanted to spend, we took the plunge and were so excited to finally upgrade from our 12 y.old, $400 Kenmore. What a mistake! I had no idea how low GE had come (time to sell that stock!). As soon as we plugged the fridge in we were shocked at the loud electrical sounding noise it made. We could hear it in the next room. In the hallway. At the dining table. It was that weird, high pitched sound that computers sometimes make. Not loud, but high pitched in a dog whistle kind of way. So I called the retailed, who said call GE. I called GE and after various phone calls, that I had to do from work and took approximately 2 hours of my time, I arranged for a repair person to come out. My husband took an entire day off work to wait for the guy and, predictably, he arrived in the last 5 minutes of the alotted time slot. He walked in, listened to the fridge and said, "yup, that's what a compressor sounds like". Total BS. I have two friends who bought fridges within a year of us, and theirs are totally silent. I'm startled by the silence when I walk into their apartments. But, then again, they were smart enough to have bought LGs. Anyway, now it's about 6 months from delivery and we're on to the next problem a *very* loud, motor boat-like noise. No idea where this is coming from, but can't wait for the repair person to tell me this is normal too. Haven't called GE yet, as it will be another few hours on the phone, trying to get the right person. Then a day off work. Then they'll probably just replace some part that will last long enough for the warranty to expire until the next problem. Listen for yourself should be enough to keep you away from this piece of...
