I have used Squaretrade for several years. I have several electronics and appliances insured through them. So far, I have only needed to file a claim once, for an antiquated GPS device.

Just like their contract states, I filed the claim and received a pre-paid UPS label. I printed it out, packed the GPS and shipped it off (to Texas, I think).

They have the option of either repairing (and/or replacing, I forget) the device or refunding you your full (not pro-rated) purchase amount.

Since this GPS thingy was rare and unique, I received a Paypal credit to the tune of $90...what I paid a few years ago.

They constantly run coupons. Mostly 30%. One time I received a 50% coupon. I highly recommend them.

No servicemen at your door. No taking your product anywhere (aside from the UPS store). Just prompt, fast, legit service.

It is a protection plan for my wonderful new microwave, after purchasing a laptop that was nothing but problems, I will never not buy protection plan.

if your stuff breaks you will be so glad you did. i purchased this warranty for a haier portable washer. i am covered for 4 years. just think, every thing we get here in usa now, is made in china, and usually made of cheap poor quality plastc. with a washer machine you have cheap plastic gaskets and seals and poor quality machine parts. have a warranty on hand in case you need it

Right after ordering, I received an email from SquareTrade about my contract that I just purchased. Within that confirmation, there's a link to click to "View and Print Your Contract." I clicked it, and it's just a dead link: the top of the web page reads "mywarranties (GIF Image, 1 x 1 pixels)." My guess is that page is supposed to forward you to the actual page, but it just hangs there. I've tried this in both Firefox (v.14.0.1) and IE (v.9), and they're dead in both browsers.

There's also another link for "Questions about your contract?", and when I click that, I get a similar dead page. I've sent 4 emails to the company explaining the problem, and they simply bounce back the same copy of the same document with the same dead links. I've also repeatedly asked them to send me my contract in a viewable, printable, saveable document format like Adobe Acrobat (PDF). All I got in response to my first couple of inquiries were repeat sends of this useless email confirmation with the same dead links. This is ridiculous. There is simply NO EXCUSE for not getting the thing right to begin with, and there's NO EXCUSE for not simply sending a digital copy of the document in RTF or PDF or anything similar.

Finally, after multiple attempts to get a saveable, printable version of the contract, I FINALLY received a message from (I think) a real human, and he has attached a PDF of the contract, but the email goes in about 8 directions at once, pasting boilerplate about requirements for obtaining warranty service, offering vague apologies for hypothetical inconveniences, stating how to send/FAX copies of my receipt to make a claim, suggesting how to buy a supplemental "Care Plan," etc., etc., etc. All I asked for was a copy of the warranty that I couldn't get via their dead links; I FINALLY got the PDF of the warranty, but the links are still dead.

To add insult to injury, they subsequently sent me a survey to fill out to tell them what I thought of their customer service. Wouldn't you know that the link to click for the survey is a dead link as well? Good grief! I simply decided to send my survey reply text to the email address from which the survey request initiated, but it bounced back a message saying that their email address has changed, and they don't tell me what the new one is! What in the world? Instead, they give me a link to a webform to fill out if I need to contact them. Guess what? Yep. That's a dead link too!!!!!!!!!

I sure hope that they do a better job of standing behind their warranty than they demonstrate they are capable of in website development, email account management, and in written communication skills.

Purchased the same made in China, Frigidaire refrigerator several years ago. It functioned well for almost 5 years and then suddenly quit. Contacted Frigidaire customer service and they could not even locate the model we had purchased in their system. Definitely do not feel the cost to benefit ratio was worth it, as we anticipated this unit lasting for at least 7 years if not more. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this product.

The product works well as it has been I think a year since it was purchased. It was delivered with a dent, but we needed the fridge and it was the last one so we kept it.

Whirlpool 8201649 Door Chute for Refrigerator

The manufacturer wanted an arm and a leg to replace this unit. Glad I found a video on YouTube and the part on Amazon. It works perfectly and our icemaker woes are no more.

stopped the ice build up on the ice chute but does not have the heater element for the door that my original had. though so far

that doesn't seem to be a problem.

Oster 3157 400-Watt Single-Speed Juice Extractor, White/Grey

I was looking for a small, inexpensive juicer today that I can use for a couple of months while I'm away from home and found the Oster juicer at my local store. I'd never heard of the brand before but at under $50 it seemed like a bargain. So I grabbed a bag of veggies and dashed back to give it a whirl.

The mouth where you push the veggies through is a decent size but you will need to slice most veggies at least once before you can fit them in. No big deal, takes about 2 minutes to do the whole lot. The motor is really strong and had no trouble chewing through carrots and beets. It has a decent size pulp catcher that's quick and easy to take off when you need to empty it.

I also like the fact that there is not a huge amount of space between the blade and the plastic thing that's used to push the veggies/fruit down, so small bits don't get stuck in the gap like some previous brands I've used.

There's not much bad I can say about it, given the size and price. If you're a big time juicer and will use a machine daily you might want to get a larger capacity juicer or one that can fit whole fruits and veg in. If you're new to juicing, will only use it once or twice a week or don't want to fork out for pro juicer then I'd definitely consider this, you really can't go wrong.

This is one powerful little juicer, i juice everything from beets,apples,pears, grapes,celery,etc. it has change my life for the better, I now go more often to the bathroom,my skin looks better and i no longer dring the garbage called juice from the store. Its strong , durable, sterdy and those fruits like nobodys business. love it, go ahead and get it ,it will do your body good.

I got this juicer from a friend who spotted it on my Amazon wish list. It is one of my favorites Christmas gifts this year. I just made a wonderful glass of carrot/apple (Fuji) and ginger. I am experimenting with it on my own and everything I have made is smooth and delicious! This is my first juicer but I see no reason for getting a bigger one because this does the job very well(except for wheat grass as you need different type of grinder). Thanks to my friend for a great gift!!!

I juice all the time and know how to use a juicer. I used this juicer and after less than 7 uses I smelled smoke. The juicer caught on fire. THE JUICER CAUGHT ON FIRE. I called the company to tell them of the issue and was dumbfounded when they told me to replace it when I just wanted to inform them that it could be hazardous to others. I was stupid enough to buy it after reading other reviews (when there is a RED FLAG you should not risk your health) and to replace it with another so it can possibly catch on fire and/or worse my familywould make me not only stupid, but an arsonist (in my opinion).

I checked out this refrigerator and it is fantastic. I was about to buy it when I realized it cost the same as 6 mortgage payments on my house. Then I decided my old junker of a refrigerator works just fine and it's paid for.

That's right, they both failed. Kitchenaid only six months old. We think right now, we'll just skip "filtering" our water (we're not in a hard water area). Frankly, we strongly suspect, this is simply a way of gouging buyers of $1500 refrigerators, out of another $30...particularly when, the darn things DO NOT WORK, STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. Jeez....
