For years I have been looking for a product that will help eliminate odors in the refrigerator and freezer. I was skeptic at first but then I heard about charcoal being used in refrigerators and decided to give it a try. Great product!

What I received was not the refrigerator deodorizer as pictured, which I had purchased before and been happy with. What I received was two cardboard boxes with holes in them. I could have gone to my local grocery store and bought Arm & Hammer baking soda and punched some holes in the box and gotten the same result. Can't believe they charged me $12.60 each for them! Before I left negative feedback, I contacted the seller with my complaint but never received any response. Very poor service on a VERY bad product. The items are NOT manufactured by Whirlpool but by a different company. The package is flimsy cardboard, not plastic as pictured and as previously sold. The listing says it lasts for a year but the package says replace after six months. I have written to Amazon complaining about these misrepresentations. My wife and I purchased this item last year when the fridge started giving off a strange smell. We had emptied it and cleaned it with vinegar, soap, comet, nothing would get rid of the smell which I guess had securely fastened itself in the vents. We bought these as a last resort and they did the trick (Although I think the cleanings got rid of the original source of the smell so you might want to do that as well). We put them in the freezer and fridge and in 24 hours there was not a hint of stink.
