Very happy with this refrigerator. We had only 30" of space, wanted the freezer on the bottom, and wanted black sides. Stainless ranges and microhoods are stainless and black, so why are so many appliance companies making stainless refrigerators with grey sides? Not a problem if the sides don't show, but a big problem if they do!

I do think it should come with one more door bin, which we just ended up ordering separately. It comes with the following storage pieces for inside of the door: 1 full-width bin, 3 half-width bins, and 1 half-width bin with a clear swivel cover. We ordered an additional half-width bin.

Had shopped around local retailers and viewed on line many makes and models. did a lot of research reviewing reviews. certain brands in some sizes had issues with a wide variety of problems. my goal was to find the best product at the best price. need a reversible door or one that swings from left to right. wanted a freezer drawer not door. the door type are roomier in the freezer compartment but not my idea of fun to sit on the floor and dig around in a pull out bin I found it a bit to awkward. a little disappointed that it did not come with an ice maker. but it was easy to install. unit is ice maker ready. had not really planed on getting the stainless steel model but it was not outrageous so I splurged the extra $100. very happy with purchase and glad I took the time to research.

I like this refrigerator a lot. However, if I had read about it more closely, I would have realized that it does not have an ice maker or a water filter. I ended up buying a separate ice maker which didn't cost a lot, but I had to pay a plumber to install it. The freezer isn't that big, but it works for us. And, the only other complaint I have is that the refrigerator really needs an additional door compartment (there is space, but not enough compartments).

I had an Amana for over 20 years with no problems but it was very rusty and dirty so I decided

to replace. The plastic piece between the bins broke and the replacement went also.

In little under 2 years I went to unplug to clean underneath and behind the fridge and the thermostat went immediately.

Between waiting for the repair guy and now a replacement part it is going on two weeks and I have had to discard

food. I would recommend unplugging the refrigerator while the warranty is

in effect to see if you too see a correlation between that

and the demise of the thermostat! I have been led to believe that appliances do

not last long (under 5 years?) due to the computerized energy-efficient "gadgets" that are now used.

I think there is also built-in obsolescence. Good luck with your appliances.

Just to add: The freezer bottom fills with water as the water is not draining properly (drain-pipe iced?)

and then the water freezes and eventually starts to flow over onto my kitchen floor. From what I have researched I can

defrost or use a hairdryer on the drain or pour hot water down. I chop away at the ice periodically.

What a nightmare this fridge is.

Beware of lack of replacement parts. Amana stops making replacement parts 5 years after the model comes out. Parts (shelves, drawers, etc) are impossible to obtain, thus making large sections of the refrigerator obsolete before its time. Would never buy another Amana product.

Complete garbage, as are most Frigidaire appliances these days. Compressor died two years after purchase. I will not ever buy any more Frigidaire appliances. I had one dishwasher by them replaced three times under warranty and after it died the 4th time, I bought another brand. It is 8 years old and runs like a champ.

The compressor failed after just 18 months. Apparently, these items used to have 10-year warranties with this Fridgidaire but now it's only a year. Now I need a new 'fridge.

It works as a fridge, but has some design choices that really irritate. The small drawer doesn't come out very far, and there's no way to remove it for cleaning. I live in a slightly off kilter Victorian, and I've always used after-market rollers adjustable for height. But for some reason, Frigidaire decided to use a smaller threading for the leveling feet than every other appliance on the market. So I'm stuck with a choice between an immovable but level fridge or one I can move for cleaning on the built in rollers, but with the door swinging open wildly because it's so far off level.

So one fine day our Kenmore Refrigerator's water dispenser stopped working. So we called Sear and they took 3 weeks to get to your home. When they came , they said that they needed to replace this part and that the total cost of all labor and parts would come too $350. That was ridiculous as all I had to do was add another hundred bucks or so and get a brand new fridge. So we went online and purchased this from amazon.com and then replaced the faulty part ourselves. Mind you we have never done anything like this before and we were so proud of ourselves. The instructions are very clear and it is very easy to replace it.

I'm not mechanically inclined and therefor intimidated by this repair as the original part for my refrigerator was discontinued. This is the replacement part and did not look like the original. Nevertheless, I managed to install this properly with the instructions provided.

i do not like this product because my water from the fridgerator has like a chlorine or floride taste to it...its not to bad if the water is cold but if the water sits and gets warm it is awful....i would recommend buying the original one that the fridge comes with....

Purchased this as an alternative to normal charcoal filters trying to do my "green thing" for the environment.

I have switched back to normal filters. These do an ok job but they don't remove the taste that Dallas water has. Not much natural spring water here in the Dallas area and therefore water is pulled from reservoirs and ponds which has a high algae / green content. Normal filters filter out the taste, these don't.

We bought this unit as a gift for a family member. He took it out of service after a short time because it was too loud. We put it in our garage where noise is not much of a problem. It worked OK during the cool months. Now that it's getting warm in North Texas the unit isn't doing the job. I retired it when it wouldn't chill bottles below 65 degrees.

If you use it in a 72 degree air conditioned room and are hard of hearing this is a nice unit.

Whirlpool 4389177 Inlet Valve for Refrigerator

The seller is not selling Whirlpool 4389177 Inlet Valve, but W10408179: This is the main unit, without the smaller unit (attached). The photo is clearly wrong.

It is correct that it's not as shown. It's configured a little different and you have to pry off a part from your existing valve. Basically it's an easy swap. Just be patient and make sure your lines are run correctly. I suggest taking a couple of pictures with your phone camera as you remove the old one for easy reference.

Ice makers go bad. Most people I know just live with a broken door dispenser. Not Me! I swapped This part (Which I know my original was not working) and the Kenmore Ice Maker Icemaker W10122502 & 2198597 (which was still working, but the teflon coating on the tray was very worn) and the Whirlpool Refrigerator P.C. Control Board Kit 4389102 (which was not lighting up but might have been working). All three parts bought through Amazon (aftermarket parts, but generic ice is fine with me. jk) cost about the same as the control board on other sites ($115).

About an hour for all three parts swaps (I had done a dry run last week while making sure the parts I was ordering were correct for my fridge) then waited about 2 hours and that all familiar rumble of ice dropping into the empty bin was so loud my cockatiel did a few laps around the kitchen.

the part was exactly as described. i had to remove one of the valves and place in the bracket. i think i had to bend the bracket a little bit too. but now my ice machine and water dispenser work! saved me $$$ for a service call and did it my self! oh ive also had this for about a year installed so far no problems what so ever.

I was so excited to find this. I have a regular Culligan undersink water filter but the faucet that came with it was plastic chrome look. During our kitchen remodel we put in a bronze faucet and brown composite sink. I couldn't have that ugly chrome faucet there but didn't want to spend $150 or more. This works perfect! I have yet to receive the faucet since I just ordered it. I wanted to let everyone know the height of the faucet since it is not listed. The height of the RO faucet is 8 1/2 inches from top to bottom. The newer styles that you will find at Home Depot and alike, are mostly 12 inches in height so, if you want a lower profile RO like we did,this one will work just fine. Had to rate it before even received or I could not post. Once it arrives and if I feel I rated it too high, I will repost.

We had to get one extra fitting to make this work with our current under-the-sink water filtration system. It is so worth it though b/c the water flow is amazing. Wish we would have switched out our Rain Soft faucet for this one a long time ago. My only complaint would be that is there is something "off" about turning the nozzle down to turn on the water. I'm not the only one who thinks so, because anyone who uses it has the same thoughts. The color is on the light rubbed bronze side, where as the rest of our oiled rubbed bronze fixtures are much darker.

UPDATE:

I received the replacement part. Their installation instructions said you need a voltometer and a saldering iron. Puleeze. I took the entire unit and their replacement parts and put them in the dumpster.

We had this unit less than a year before the control board failed. The best Vinotemp will do is sell us a new control board for $35. Of course you'll be replacing their notoriously unreliable control board with yet another notoriously unreliable control board, so who knows how long it will be before you're fridge stops working again. I'm just going to try to sell this piece of junk for what I can get and move on to another manufacturer.

They removed all the bad reviews for this unit, including one I already wrote last summer.

So much for Amazon's integrity. This is the worst piece of junk we have ever received. Given as a gift in May, 2009, the unit's cooling board failed after approx 6 weeks. The customer service failed continually. The shelves were warped and did not fit. The replacement unit arrived in September. No instructions, then instructions that were written in Chinese English. It would take a professional electrician to install but they want me to do that. I might try, and get shocked and at least make some money in the lawsuit.

They may make good expensive units, but Vinotemp ought to be ashamed of selling junk like this.

I purchased this product in the fall of 2008 and gave it a good rating then. Unit worked fine for 1 year. Then the zones started to have difficulty maintaining temperatures. If preset temp was 60 it would often run 10 degrees lower. Not good for my reds.

Then after 2 years it stopped working completely. Not sure about other Vinotemp products, but I cannot recommend this model to anyone.

Customer service says I have to replace both circuit boards! After 2 year? That costs $90 and you have to install and solder yourself that's crazy. Going to Wine Enthusiast and order a more reliable unit.

The unit looks great but unfortunately it is a huge disappointment since it failed in less than three months. The worst part of this is that the customer service is horrible so it appears that my unit will never be repaired. I have been told that the replacement board will be in within a week or two for over three months and I still don't have the part. I should have done more research on this company before buying this wine cooler since this seems to be the norm for this unit along with the company's poor customer service. I have been KX filters for years. When I changed filters the old ones are still solid in one piece. That's why I use them. This is the work horse carbon filter for reverse osmosis. The main object is to filter out chlorine that degrades the membrane.

According to the specifications, this filter has one of the highest chlorine capacity, meaning that you don't need to change filter that often. It also have VOC filter capacity. I use it after the sediment filter the finest filters goes last.

Now the filters come with individual labels and packing, with the KX mark moulded into the filter.

The spec are tested by the manufacturer. Though I trust my TDS meter. If the readings are consistently good, that means everything is working fine.

I'm a little puzzled. This cartridge works so much better in my GE filter than the GE ones I wonder why this is not claimed in the product description. My filter is hooked to a pantry faucet, not one of those piddly little filtered water taps. But flow is as if there is no restriction from the filter. With a GE cartridge it just dribbles out at perhaps 0.25 gallons per minute. The water taste is excellent,and our raw water has a strong chlorine and organic debris taste and odor, I even have filters on the showers. I could find no specs on the filter. I wonder why.

The product works great. However, not thinking when I read the dimensions, I assumed they would be correct. I did not allow for the motor which takes up half of the bottom storage area. Therefore the space was alot less than I thought. I would buy one size up if I were to do it again.That'swhy 4 instead of 5 stars.

My regular freezer is small so I wanted a little extra freezer space. I chose between the SPT UF-150W and the Haier HUM013EA. The SPT supposedly has a minutely larger volume, but the Haier was about $50 less and apparently more popular. In reality they are probably close to identical. I picked the SPT because there were a lot of complaints about poor packaging of the Haier. The SPT came double-boxed in heavy-duty cardboard with re-enforced corners and styrofoam padding. The freezer was in perfect condition. It works great and is EXTREMELY QUIET when the compresser is running and totally silent when it's not running. It comes with a minature ice tray to monitor how effectively it is freezing. The SPT has a lock on the door, a worthless feature for my needs. As for the Haier, my review title is a little misleading as I can't actually comment on it. However, I do have a Haier small appliance which did not come as well packaged as my freezer. The SPT is currently $183, about $15 less than I paid. In hindsight I would likely go with the SPT again to avoid packaging issues.

This is a great little freezer, it arrived well packaged & undamaged. We use it in a chiropractic office to store & freeze cold packs. We have had it for a week and a half without any issues. Very pleased.

I was looking for a small, inexpensive juicer today that I can use for a couple of months while I'm away from home and found the Oster juicer at my local store. I'd never heard of the brand before but at under $50 it seemed like a bargain. So I grabbed a bag of veggies and dashed back to give it a whirl.

The mouth where you push the veggies through is a decent size but you will need to slice most veggies at least once before you can fit them in. No big deal, takes about 2 minutes to do the whole lot. The motor is really strong and had no trouble chewing through carrots and beets. It has a decent size pulp catcher that's quick and easy to take off when you need to empty it.

I also like the fact that there is not a huge amount of space between the blade and the plastic thing that's used to push the veggies/fruit down, so small bits don't get stuck in the gap like some previous brands I've used.

There's not much bad I can say about it, given the size and price. If you're a big time juicer and will use a machine daily you might want to get a larger capacity juicer or one that can fit whole fruits and veg in. If you're new to juicing, will only use it once or twice a week or don't want to fork out for pro juicer then I'd definitely consider this, you really can't go wrong.

This is one powerful little juicer, i juice everything from beets,apples,pears, grapes,celery,etc. it has change my life for the better, I now go more often to the bathroom,my skin looks better and i no longer dring the garbage called juice from the store. I got this juicer from a friend who spotted it on my Amazon wish list. It is one of my favorites Christmas gifts this year. I just made a wonderful glass of carrot/apple (Fuji) and ginger. I am experimenting with it on my own and everything I have made is smooth and delicious! This is my first juicer but I see no reason for getting a bigger one because this does the job very well(except for wheat grass as you need different type of grinder). Thanks to my friend for a great gift!!!

I juice all the time and know how to use a juicer. I used this juicer and after less than 7 uses I smelled smoke. The juicer caught on fire. THE JUICER CAUGHT ON FIRE. I called the company to tell them of the issue and was dumbfounded when they told me to replace it when I just wanted to inform them that it could be hazardous to others. I was stupid enough to buy it after reading other reviews (when there is a RED FLAG you should not risk your health) and to replace it with another so it can possibly catch on fire and/or worse my familywould make me not only stupid, but an arsonist (in my opinion).
